Okay, so after years of seeing the TTTE episode, Oliver's Find. I decided to make a sequel to it that would give the house and station a darker backstory and reason for why it was "abandoned." Anyway I hope that you guys will enjoy. -The Author.
Oliver's Fright.
On the island of Sodor, there are many spooky and chilling tales, legends and stories. Some of suicidal ghost engines who took the lives of many, to the stories of an engine of being so close to almost killing someone in their accidents. However, though they may hear many stories, none of the engines never once encountered a ghost, or at least until after a certain run down abandoned station was restored. He never knew what or why, but, whenever he went to the station that he found on that one night with a mail run, Oliver would often sense an unease within the atmosphere that made his bolier churn and chill. Though he didn't admit it, the great western auto tank found himself to be a little scared of the station. One night, at the sheds of the little western, the 14xx was telling Duck about the station.
"There's something wrong with that station and house, Duck." Oliver said to the pannier with a stern expression. "I don't know what it is, but there's something really off about it."
"There is just probably a rational explanation for it Oliver." Duck reply. "There's always is. Anyway do please and try to get some sleep. You should be pretty tired after all."
As Oliver then nodded in agreement, he closed his eyes and fell asleep, unaware of the events that will transpire. As the days went on, Oliver's concerns of the station that he had found continued to increase as strange things began to happen. Whenever workmen try to maintain it, they look around to find their tools missing. Visitors who come in for the house for some tea and crumpets often talk about of the mysterious sounds of footsteps around the house but to only find no source. As these events kept on recurring, Oliver began to feel more and more uneasy around the house that he just found a few weeks back. The uneasiness got so bad, that Sir Topham Hatt decided to have the 14xx trade spots with Duck so he could get a chance to ease his weary mind. The pannier was not at all pleased with the change, but he did his work without any fuss for it was the great western way to be flexible. One night, Duck had to bring a bunch of workmen to the house so they could do some repairs on it. Apparently the roof had gotten damaged once again thanks to a bunch of high teens, who found it fun to throw stones at it, as well as spray on some graffiti on it. As the workmen then set to work, Duck looked at the house and station platform and rolled his eyes as a thick mist began to roll in.
"Something is wrong indeed!" He scoffed. "There's NOTHING wrong with this place. I've been here many times this week and I can forsure to say that there's no..."
"BANG!!"
The sound echoed throughout the area and made Duck, his crew and all of the workmen jump in fright. As the workmen were about to find out where the sound came from, there was another loud bang which was then followed by a gut wrenching scream.
"Oh dear! Oh dear!" Duck then cried out as the workmen then scrambled back on board the coaches in fright. "We better get out of here!"
"I agree!" Said his driver as he then pulled the reverser and they all quickly backed down the line, as the shape of an engine watched them from the shed.
After what he saw that night, Duck and his crew refused to go to the station ever again, which meant that Oliver had to go back to the duties there. The auto-tank, though he felt more easy and confident, was still quite worried about what the old station had withheld. On a cool crisp night, Oliver arrived at the station once again so the workmen could once again clean off the graffiti. As Oliver then shivered, a thick blanket of mist rolled in and began to make things very eerie. As he then looked around, Oliver thought that he could see the outline of an engine within the shed, and the outlines of people nearby the house. Suddenly the sound of a gunshot was heard, followed by another one, and then a scream right after. Then suddenly before anyone could say anything else, the sounds of wheels on rails was heard, as a cool gust of wind blew by Oliver, before the sounds of an engine crashing were heard. It was at this point did everyone get spooked.
"What was that?!" The driver exclaimed as the spooked workmen scrambled into the coaches."
"Never mind that!" Oliver replied back. "Just get us out of here!"
And so, that's what they did. After what happened that night, Oliver was more uneasy than ever. He and Duck were silent, and full of many questions about the very station. However, as Sir Topham Hatt was about to make arrangements for another engine to do the tea house runs, he stumbled upon an old newspaper article of the very same house that had a very grim story upon it. According to the article, the very noble family who used to live in the old station house were assassinated by a german soldier during the first world war and the very engine that belonged to the family propusly derailed and crashed himself when the soldier tried to use him as a getaway transport, avenging the deaths of his beloved owners. This story was soon spread across the leaving many in great shock and fear of the house. Now with the truth revealed, Sir Topham Hatt had no choice but to have the line that led to the old house ripped up. As they watched the workmen take out the rails, Oliver spoke.
"It's sad that a family was murdered here, in their own home." He said.
"I can only agree with you, Oliver." The controller replied. "War can often bring an unbelievable amount of hostility to a place. Sometimes leaving whole families dead."
"Do you think that we may have distubred this place, sir?" Duck asked as his controller gave a grim expression.
"I don't know, Duck. I really don't know. But what is for certain is that we should have left this station and house alone."
THE END.
