Awakening: Inside The Mind of a Frenzied Jinchuuriki

Pain is talking...endless talking. "Pain will give rise to momentary peace." he says. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! "All you are good for is giving me the power of the Nine-Tails. Your death will bring peace!" Is that really true? Would my death really...bring peace? No, that can't be right!

"Naruto, Jiraya boy and Pa sacrificed themselves in battle for you, because they believed that you were the child of prophecy! If you give up now, I won't forgive you!" Ma screamed. Pain just slammed her into a rock wall, silencing her. "Noisy frog." *Naruto gasps* Ma, no! "BASTARD!" "I guess I'll be taking you now." Pain began to pull Naruto toward him.

The sound of someone running towards them at a rapid pace became audible. No...no..please, I don't want to see ANYONE ELSE sacrifice themselves for me!

All of a sudden, from the corner of his eye, he saw someone leaping toward Pain. Hinata! Hinata, no...please...not you! She screamed. "I won't let you hurt Naruto anymore!" She's going to die! Why would anybody...sacrifice themselves...for me?! Stop it, just stop!

"Reinforcements? Why'd you come out here?" Pain seemed taken aback by this new development.

"Get away quickly! You're no match..." Naruto shouted. You'll die, you'll die, you'll die! No!

"I know." Hinata said. "I know. I'm just being selfish."

"What are you talking about?!" Selfish? Why is it selfish to help someone like me? Look at the pain I've brought to this village...my friends..I don't deserve this! "Don't put yourself in danger like this!"

"I'm here because I want to be. This time, I'm going to save you, Naruto." Hinata...
