A/N: And here, this is where the big bad comes in. Pretty spooky, right?

Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost (Rewrite)

Chapter 2: A Haunting Preposition

Meanwhile, back at the Coolsville Halloween Carnival, Weerd and Bogel spoke with the former going first.

"Seeing a massive space of emptiness in the carnival like this really reminds me of the things we should've done in the past.", Weerd admitted.

"Uh, is leaving things well enough alone one of these things?", Bogel asked just as Weerd noticed a magical glow headed toward the carnival from above.

"No. Fairy hunting.", Weerd replied as what was apparently now known as a fairy was now entering a tent that says magic show.

"Fairy hunting? I don't think it's a good idea to be chasing after fairies, Weerd.", Bogel spoke out of worry.

"No, don't you get it? I know that glow from anywhere. It's Fairy Princess Willow. It has to be! Come on!", Weerd urged as he flew toward the tent first.

"Oh, that's right! I just keep forgetting things lately.", Bogel agreed as he eventually followed.

Meanwhile, inside the tent, the fairy apparently known as Fairy Princess Willow, hid behind a sort of book with a skull on the front cover just as Krudsky admired himself.

"Blast those teenaged troublemakers! If word of this gets out, I'll be ruined! It's not my fault I'm a big phony. I've spent a lifetime in search of real magic. I've studied every spell, spoken every incantation! There must be something I'm missing.", Krudsky spoke with Willow gasping.

Then, at that moment, a red demon roared, surprising Willow as she slipped, causing the book to fall to the ground, attracting Krudsky's attention as he turned around before the same red demon with wings and a letter "A" at the center of his belt from a long time ago landed while boring a hole into the ceiling of the tent before landing, causing the wind to stop at the page involving the Goblin King's scepter just as the demon then stood back up slowly, revealing his full presence before three more shadows arrived, but this time, they were revealed to be Revolta, her assistant, the Grim Creeper, and most surprisingly, Mortifer himself, although tied up and/or gagged as his mouth was covered in the Grim Creeper's vines.

"Okay, I give. Who are you?", Krudsky asked.

"Who we are is not important right now. In fact, we're saving introductions for later. What is important is the answer in that book on the floor.", Revolta responded as she pointed to it before Krudsky picked it up and read the page.

"The Goblin Scepter: fabled wand of the great Goblin King.", Krudsky spoke before the red demon walked up and responded.

"Indeed. 'Bewitched by the darkest magic, he who holds the Goblin Scepter holds the magic of Halloween in his grasp.'", the demon quoted.

"Hey. That's what the book just said. How did you know that?", Krudsky asked in surprise.

"Truth be told, we've known a lot more about it before you were even born.", Revolta responded.

"Mm-Hmm. So true.", Grim Creeper nodded.

"Wait a second. This can only mean one thing: it must be a sign! Prepare yourself, Krudsky! You're finally going up in the world!", Krudsky laughed.

"I have no idea what you're rambling on about, but if you prefer to get to the introductions now, I'll go first.", Revolta responded.

"Oh. Why, yes, of course.", Krudsky agreed a bit nervously.

"My name is Revolta and this is my insignificant underling, the Grim Creeper.", Revolta introduced.

"Yep. Hey!", Grim Creeper responded upon realizing the blunt insult.

"Well, uh, nice to meet you, you two, but, uh, who's the big guy? He seems so familar.", Krudsky asked.

"I am Asmodeus, King of Demons. And this man in the creeper's grasp is now my servant. Hard to believe he used to be Vincent's partner.", Asmodeus responded.

"Hold on. The Asmodeus?! I remember reading about you. I just can't get over how incredibly fearsome you were back in the day. In fact, you still are. And plucking Mortifer out to make him your servant?! That's a stroke of genius, right there!", Krudsky complimented.

"Hmm. I have no use for such flattery, though I do appreciate it as it was...well-deserved.", Asmodeus admitted.

"Right. I am the Amazing Krudsky. Well, then, now that we all know each other, what brings you three here?", Krudsky asked.

"Simple. We came here looking for the Chest of Demons.", Revolta replied, making Willow gasp in shock from hearing this.

"The Chest of Demons?! I-I read about that, too! From what I read about it, it was said to contain only the most malicious of ghosts as it is actually an impervious prison from which no ghost can escape, and get this: it can only be opened by the hands of the living.", Krudsky stated.

"We know.", Asmodeus and Revolta spoke up.

"Asmodeus is the only remaining ghost at large and the other 12 are trapped inside that chest.", Revolta stated.

"What? But that would him ghost number, uh...", Krudsky began to realize.

"13.", Asmodeus finished.

"I knew that. I still can't believe it. First, I get a visit from Asmodeus, King of Demons, and now, we're hunting for the Chest of Demons! It's too exciting just thinking about it!", Krudsky responded.

"Then, you'd best prepare yourself, mortal, for tonight, the Chest of Demons will finally be ours yet again!", Asmodeus spoke.

Then, Willow spoke to herself out of determination.

"Not if I have anything to say about it, Asmodeus.", Willow spoke to herself before she sprinkled her magic on Asmodeus's cape, lifting him up and then putting him on top of the trunk, making Willow laugh as she covered her mouth with Asmodeus bursting from the trunk and becoming very cross with Krudsky already as Mortifer noticed Fairy Princess Willowdoing the world with a look of surprise, intrigue, and wonderment in his eyes.

"Cease this indignity at once!", Asmodeus urged.

"It wasn't me! I swear!", Krudsky shouted fearfully in response before Revolta then noticed Willow laughing herself off a bit before she smirked.

"And you may be right, Krudsky. Oh, Grim Creeper. Do us a favor and squash that fly.", Revolta requested.

"As you wish, Revolta.", Grim Creeper responded before he whacked the books off the table, urging Willow to fly off before then flying around Krudsky and then took off a bit.

"Pesky insect.", Krudsky commented as he then armed himself with a flyswatted while Willow then flew around Asmodeus.

"Pesky doesn't even begin to cover it.", Asmodeus responded as Krudsky began readying himself as she flew around him rather quickly before Krudsky tried to swat her down but missed twice as he spun around before landing on his back, causing Revolta to sigh in disgust as she face-palmed herself.

"Ugh, that bumbling idiot.", Revolta sighed as she slapped herself before Willow giggled at the scene, not knowing that Weerd and Bogel were already at the entrance, seeing Krudsky, Revolta, Grim Creeper, and Asmodeus as well.

"I knew it! She is here.", Weerd spoke up.

"Oh, boy! How are we gonna catch her, though?", Bogel asked.

"Did you bring a jar with you?", Weerd asked.

"Weerd, I think we all know I never go anywhere without it. I even kept it in my pocket.", Bogel replied as he got out his jar from his apparent pocket.

"Good. Now, let's get going and..., okay, wait, why do you have pockets?", Weerd asked.

"Well, don't act all surprised at once.", Bogel responded.

"Ugh, never mind that, Bogel. Now, follow my lead.", Weerd urged.

Meanwhile, Krudsky sat up and growled lividly at Willow, who flew around in a circle before flying around Krudsky many times as he missed just as many times before the Fairy Princess laughed only to get suddenly trapped inside Bogel's jar before she bumped into it and then slid down before lying down as she groaned.

"I got her, Weerd!", Bogel spoke with a smile.

"Yes!", Weerd smiled before he laughed triumphantly just as Asmodeus, Revolta, and Krudsky both noticed the duo of ghosts.

"You!", Revolta spoke up, prompting Weerd and Bogel to turn to face her, Asmodeus, and Krudsky.

"What are you bumbling fools doing here?!", Asmodeus demanded.

"Wait. Uh, you guys know each other?", Krudsky asked.

"Unfortunately. Krudsky, meet these two bumbling ghosts, Weerd and Bogel.", Revolta replied.

"Bumbling?! I'll have you know that we just snatched Fairy Princess Willow for ya. So, yeah, you're welcome.", Weerd smirked.

"F-F-F-F-F-Fairy?", Krudsky puzzled in surprise.

"Yeah, that's right. And get this: she's one of the first ingredients we need to make a perfect trade-off.", Weerd replied.

"Trade-off with whom?", Revolta asked.

"The Goblin King, of course. Who else? Besides, we could sap her light magic and then get the scepter in case we get stuck with someone among the living trying to pry the chest of demons open when we do get it. I mean, it's bound to have a protection lock, nowadays. Or maybe even a protection spell.", Weerd responded as Krudsky went towards his book and looked up many "F" words in the Spellbook before coming across the word "Fairy".

"You know of its present location?", Asmodeus asked.

"But of course. It's at Mr. Gibbles' Genuine Magic Shoppe. You can't miss it.", Weerd explained just as Krudsky found the key word in the book that he's looking for.

"Yes. 'Fairy.' 'If a mortal catches a fairy on Halloween, the fairy's magic can be stolen using the following spell.'", Krudsky read as he turned to the trapped Willow held in a jar by Bogel while Asmodeus realized that it may be crucial to the plan to opening the Chest of Demons and ruling the Earth.

"What a marvelous idea.", Asmodeus grinned.

"See? I knew you'd come around. Now, uh, Bogel, if you would.", Weerd requested as he pointed to Krudsky getting out his top hat.

"You got it, Weerd. Now, into the top hat you go.", Bogel grinned as he opened the jar with Willow barely holding on to the top of the jar as she strained with grunts in order to climb up, but could only gasp after Weerd put his hands on the jar and decided to help speed the process along.

"Oh, you're not going anywhere, except with us. So, giddy-up, Princess.", Weerd spoke as he then took the jar and shook it, causing her to fall into Krudsky's hat.

"Krudsky, is it?", Weerd asked.

"Yes?", Krudsky smirked.

"Go ahead. Do your thing.", Weerd smiled.

"With pleasure. By the fearful powers of Halloween night, give to me this fairy's light!", Krudsky chanted as he waved his wand around before pointing it at Willow, sapping her magic as the light grew brightly with Krudsky, Revolta, and even Asmodeus cackling loudly together as Mortifer widened his eyes in worry.

"Yep, I love it when a good plan comes together.", Weerd grinned.

A/N: Uh-oh. What is going to happen now? Looks like we'll find out soon.
