A/N: And this is where Asmodeus and Revolta make a deal with the Goblin King. Very mysterious.

Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost (Rewrite)

Chapter 7: Striking A Deal

Meanwhile, at the carnival, Fred, Velma, Ben, and Lena were near the entrance.

"Shaggy! Scooby!", Fred called.

"It doesn't look like they're here. And the Hex Girls hadn't shown up, either.", Ben responded.

"And neither did Marcie. I hope she's okay.", Velma spoke.

"This place looks awfully deserted.", Lena stated before Velma noticed otherwise.

"Not quite. Look.", Velma spoke, pointing toward the tent as gusts of mild wind blew from it.

When, Ben, Fred, Velma, and Lena looked past the curtains, they saw Asmodeus, Revolta, and the Grim Creeper laughing proudly as Krudsky was laughing along with them while Mortifer was worried.

"At last, our time is at hand! But first, it's time to deliver a message. Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most dreadful goblin of all?", Asmodeus asked before the magic mirror showed the silhouette of the Goblin King.

"What demon dare disturb the great Goblin King?", the Goblin King asked.

"This demon dares, your royal rottenness. And that demon is I, Asmodeus, king of the ghosts trapped inside that confounded Chest of Demons.", Asmodeus responded as he got out the aforementioned Chest of Demons that was stolen.

"My name is Revolta. Don't wear it out. Oh, and this my lowly servant, the Grim Creeper.", Revolta added.

"Hey.", Grim Creeper responded.

"And this is Mortifer, has-been partner of Vincent Van Ghoul, now my servant.", Asmodeus added, gesturing to Mortifer.

"The Amazing Krudsky at your service.", Krudsky added with a bow.

"Foolish demons! To what purpose do you summon the ruler of the Goblin Hordes?!", the Goblin King asked.

"Simple. We've called you here, because we want to make a trade.", Revolta responded.

"Indeed. Your goblin scepter for your precious little fairy.", Asmodeus added with a smirk as he presented the trapped fairy princess in his clawed grip, making the Goblin King gasp.

"Fairy Princess Willow!", the Goblin King exclaimed.

"Hot dog! A real life fairy!", Lena spoke in surprise.

"Maybe Krudsky's Magic is real after all. All too real if you ask me.", Ben commented.

"Sure. Why not?", Velma spoke.

"That's right. We have your daughter, and if you ever want to see her alive again, you are to honor our demands.", Asmodeus spoke.

"What loathsome trickery is this?", the Goblin King asked.

"No tricks. Only a trade. Asmodeus and Revolta will come over to your castle to properly discuss the terms and then make it official at the clock tower; midnight...ish.", Krudsky stated.

"We could consider giving her back to you, but only if you bring your Goblin scepter with you. If you don't, well..., let's just say she'll be to put to sleep.", Revolta smirked.

"You have until midnight to comply.", Asmodeus added.

"Most foul and wicked demons! You both tempt powers beyond your grasp! Grrrr...! You shall regret this.", the Goblin King spoke before his silhouette vanished from the mirror.

"Oh, I don't think so.", Revolta smirked before Krudsky laughed.

"Soon, all the powers of Halloween shall be mine!", Krudsky grinned, making Asmodeus growl at him.

"'Ours!' I-I mean 'ours.'", Krudsky assured.

"Good. Very soon, the Chest of Demons shall be opened, and then all 13 of us shall rule the earth with the powers of Halloween!", Asmodeus smirked.

"And then, we'll all show a certain scruffy slacker and his magnet mutt named Scooby-Doo a magic trick they'll never forget.", Revolta added with a smirk as Weerd and Bogel looked and then noticed Ben, Fred, Lena, and Velma.

"Uh-oh. Looks like we got peeped.", Weerd spoke.

"Don't you think we should report this?", Bogel asked.

"No. We are so close to our triumph, Bogel. It'd be rude to ruin the moment. Besides, if they peeped us, we can peep them back and find out what they're planning. And then we report back. Or at least, you know, one of us.", Weerd suggested.

"Oh. That's a good idea, Weerd.", Bogel grinned.

"I know.", Weerd agreed.

"You two! Come! There is much to be done.", Asmodeus spoke.

"Oh, yeah. Sure thing! Coming, Asmodeus!", Weerd assured.

"But whatever about the plan?", Bogel asked.

"Don't worry. I'll stay behind, you just go on ahead. You know, so we can help speed things along without interference.", Weerd suggested.

"Wow. You must be some kind of genius or something.", Bogel commented.

"Look, just go.", Weerd spoke before Bogel left with Asmodeus, Revolta, Grim Creeper, and Krudsky as they phased through the tent, not knowing that Fred, Velma, Lena, and Ben noticed them.

"Oh, my. Do you know what this means?", Lena asked.

"Shaggy, Scooby, and the others are in big trouble.", Fred spoke in worry.

"And it's not just them. The whole world could be in danger as well. We need to find them and warn them before Asmodeus and the others get there.", Ben urged.

"And what about Willow?", Lena asked.

"Judging by how the Goblin King reacted and based upon what Asmodeus called her, I'd hazard a guess to say that he cares about her like his own daughter. And even if we do find Shaggy, Scooby, and the others, though, we still need to head Asmodeus and Revolta off somehow.", Velma responded.

"Maybe we can't head them off, but we can try catching them off-guard.", Fred assured.

"What do you have in mind?", Ben asked.

"Ben, go see if you can warn Shaggy, Scooby, and the others by phone. In the meantime, we gotta get over to that clock tower before midnight and set a trap for that demon! Come on.", Fred spoke.

"Right.", Ben agreed before he got out his phone and dialed in Thorn's number while Fred, Velma, and Lena went over to the clock tower, not knowing that Weerd has already overheard their plan.

"So, they plan on trapping him, huh? Well, it won't work. Not now that I know what they're up to, that is.", Weerd smirked before taking off.
