*A/n i don't know what this one shot is but be kind it's subject for me*

On 108 muffin street stood a beautiful house. Well a mansion would be a better description. This building was simply stunning. Fit for a queen. After all a Queen did live in the house. A house that use to be empty and quiet but had gained the sounds of love and laughter of a loving family. The family of three weren't perfect by all means. They had disagreements and arguments and mistakes were made but they had each other to get through the hard times.

The sun rose bathing the grand house in a rose gold colour and alerting the brunette women who lay in bed with her blonde saviour that morning had dawned. Her was fawned over the pillow as she wrinkled her nose twice before her eye life fluttered open. With a content murmur she would turn her head to the right to take in the sight of her blonde haired lover. The memories of the night before flooding back like being hit by a train caused her to smile and assess how her body felt. A delicious kind of sore but nothing to drastic she always had a tendency to like the rougher side of those activities. Deciding to allow her lover to sleep another past fact dawned on the queen as she dressing in a fluffy robe, some leggings and some bunny fluffy socks that the mayor would swear she never owned but secretly wore all the time. Appropriately dressed for the early hour she crept downstairs to prepare breakfast for her lovers.

You see Regina's wife had a rough past. One she told this day blamed herself for causing despite her saviours protests saying she never made her parents leave her. Regina blamed herself. Her lover was in pain from her past and even though she tried to help she could never erase the scars that were left. Recently emma had been acting off and the queen prayed that it wouldn't be the start of another episode despite all the evidence pointing at that direction. Stubbornness must be something that run in the family of charming's as the queen noted wife and son had this annoyingly sweet trait.

Regina's thoughts were interrupted by her son joining her in the kitchen.

"Morning mom" the pre teen lad grunted eyeing up the pancakes and bacon. It was obvious the smell had woken him.

Being served his plate he took a bite and moaned a thank you before proceeding to shovel the food into his mouth like no tomorrow. A click of his mother's tongue had the boy taking smaller bites and sheepishly mumbling sorry before asking the question his mother also wondered.

"Where's ma?"

Frowning the elder brunette replied she wasn't quite sure where is blonde mother was but she would go and check while their son inhaled his food quick than a blink of an eye. Shaking her head in assume at her son she crept up the stairs unsure of how she would find her lover. You see Emma is funny and full of joy and light. She radiates a positive vibe that is infectious to those around her. Until she gets into one of her rough patches. The blonde became unmotivated, snappy, distant from everyone and in general low. Regina knew of course the signs of these episodes and she also knew her wife would insist she's fine even when she's really not.

As the brunette reached the master bedroom her eyes were quickly drawn to the empty bed and the sound of running water. She was in the shower. Although that wasn't exactly correct. You see the blonde had managed to drag herself from the bed she and regina shared with great difficulty but seeing her body? That was just too much. That's how she found herself in her towel on the bathroom floor half and hour later. She didn't even realise she was crying until she heard her wife's soft gentle loving voice that was just kept for herself and their son.

"Oh em" she whispered as she moved to gather her wife in her arms. You're okay my pretty girl . You're okay

"Please don't" was all the blonde could whimper out and even that sounded so pathetic to her ears. "Please don't call me that... because I'm not"

Suddenly the last few weeks all made sense. The blonde had lost interest in things that would usually excite her, she was turning In paper work late (although the mayor always let her off the hook) she wasn't sleeping well and the night before she refused to allow Regina to touch her and focused all her energy onto the brunette before the fell asleep. How could I not see? This had been brewing for a while.

Choosing to do the only thing which could possibly help the brunette gathered her wife into her arms and sat on the floor giving her the attention she so desperately needed. The silence wasn't uncomfortable and both women didn't dare break it. Emma for fear of becoming upset again and Regina for not wanting to push the blonde to speak. She would when she was ready.

Noticing the blonde was becoming rather sleepy with the way her wife was stroking her hair and back the brunette simply stood and held her hand out and an invite to the blonde. A sigh of relief slipped through the brunettes lips as she lead her wife to bed and got under the covers with her. It was only then did the blonde break down in tears whimpering and mumbling into the crock of her wife's neck.

"I'm sorry I'm so fucking sorry I wish I wasn't this pathetic I'm sorry Gina please don't go"

"Darling breathe. I'm not going anywhere. I'm here. I'm yours. And I love you with all my heart and soul"

"I'm sorry I'm so fucking sorry. You deserve more than me Gina"

"Hush my dear I don't deserve anything more than to be with the women I love and our son and that miss swan is you."

"Mrs swan mills" emma mumbles through tears making the brunette chuckle.

Deciding that her wife needed her Regina leant over to the right side of their bed and grabbed her phone shooting off a few texts to Henry, Jen her receptionist and the idiots to inform them that Emma was a little under the weather and both women would remain at the mansion. Naturally snow sent a panicky reply and Regina rolled her eyes replying with a no thank you.

For the rest of the day they lay in bed cuddles up together. Drifting off into sleep occasionally and other times laying in silence together. Emma didn't like to admit that she was having bad days because they made her weak in the eyes of others. But maybe it was okay to seek comfort from her wife during these days.
