Now that I have completed Twilight's Reign this story will be upgraded to weekly updates. So expect to see a new chapter every Sunday from now on unless told otherwise.
Harper, Scarlett, and Cooper waited for the sun to go down before they cut through the gates that closed off the entrance to Vishkar Industries.
"Don't you have a card key to get in?" Harper asked as Cooper worked on hacking into the camera's so the alarms wouldn't sound off and expose them. Even reaching the gate proved to be challenging for the two trolls and giant four legged robot. Armed guards patrolled the inside and outside of Vishkar industries at night. The two trolls had to be stealthy and hide until one guard came close enough for them to take out without noticing. There was four guards on the outside of the gate. Harper hid in the bushes and sneaked up on one guard, putting a cloth over his mouth and nose before the guard passed out. Harper dragged the unconscious guard to the bushes while Scarlett hid in the shadows and waited for one guards back to be turn before sneaking up behind him. Scarlett wrapped the guard's neck in between her arms and didn't let go until enough oxygen was cut off for the guy to pass out.
Now there was the two at the front of the gate. There was no way they were going to sneak up on them, but maybe they didn't have too. With Cooper's size he would be powerful enough to quickly overpower them before they could sound the alarm. Walking up to the front gate, Cooper reacted calmly as the two guards pointed their guns at him.
"Who goes there?"
"I do apologize for what I am about to do," Cooper replied "Please be aware that you have my complete empathy. Cooper grabbed the two guards and banged their foreheads together knocking them out. Then while Cooper hacked into the security camera's cutting off all footage Harper and Scarlett cut through the fence.
"The doors can only be opened with a card key but all the card readers are turned off when they close," Scarlett pointed out as they approached the gate.
"Don't worry, I will hack the system and turn it on in no time." Cooper replied.
"Hurry," Harper replied nervously "It's only a matter of time before more guards shows up.
"Got it," Cooper shouted as the card reader turned back on.
Scarlett ran her card through and rushed Harper and Cooper inside.
"Where is your bosses office?" Harper asked once the two of them sneaked themselves inside.
"On the very top floor,"
"Cooper is way to big to take the elevator," Harper pointed out.
"Then we are going to have to take the stairs"
"But what if more guards show up?"
Scarlett pulled out her mother's tranquilizer gun much to the surprise of the young troll.
"Is that Poppy's famous tranquilizer gun?"
"Yep, and despite what the show says she never used it to take down a giant troll eating spider three times her size. I mean, that's ridiculous."
"I know that but's it's fun and aimed for the young kids."
"I'm sure giant troll eating spiders aren't suitable for young kids."
"True but the show only mentioned they were troll eaters. It never showed any actual trolls being eaten. The network made it very clear that the cartoon couldn't show death due to it's target audience."
"And that is why the show was so horrible."
"I hate to interrupt," Cooper butted in "But my sensors indicate a much higher chance of us being spotted if you two continue talking."
Nodding in agreement the two bickering trolls silenced their conversation as they approached the top of the stairs.
"The office is at the end of the next hallway to the left, come on."
Scarlett led the two of them down the end of the hallway but quickly put her hand out to stop them as she peaked her head across the corner. There was a guard shining his flashlight. His back was turned as he searched the hallway for any possible intruders. Turning to the young girl and robot Scarlett put her finger to her lip signalling for them to be quite. Scarlett clamped tightly to her tranquilizer gun, ready to use it if the guard turned around.
The guard did indeed turn onto the next hallway, but a second guard walked by the way the one guard entered and approached their way. Scarlett waited patiently and when the guard was within range she fired her tranquilizer gun and hit the guard in the neck. Scarlett ran up and caught him as he fell and quickly shoved him into a nearby janitor closet.
"Man I wish I had a recording of the look on that guy's face when he wakes up and finds his face in a mop bucket," Harper giggled. Scarlett shushed her as the three of them quickly ran to the twins office. Scarlett twisted the nob only to find in her horror it was locked.
"Dammit, now what?"
"Allow me," Cooper replied. Cooper stuck out his right index finger and a tiny bobby pin came out, he placed it in the keyhole and after a couple of seconds the door unlocked and the three trolls ran in.
"I got to hand it to you," Scarlett complemented. "You equipped that robot with everything."
"You never know what task he will need to perform." Harper replied
Scarlett didn't respond as she approached the twins computer. Cooper shot some wires into the computer to scan for a password, then he typed it into computer. Then the three of them waited as the computer took a while to load into it's home screen."
"Man this computer is taking forever," Scarlett gripped "What year is this computer from anyway? 2020? This thing is ancient."
"Wasn't that the year with the pandemic, and riots and stuff?" Harper asked.
"Yep, as my mom said it was the worst year ever on record and judging by how slow this computer is I can believe her."
Finally the home screen loaded and the two trolls and robot scanned through all of the twins files.
"What's this?" Harper pointed to a file that read top secret. Curios Scarlett clicked on it as a viral video of the twins popped up. Scarlett's eyes widened and she took several steps backwards as the video showed the twins laying on a bed their skin deteriorating. Chenille's arm was basically all gone and their was so little skin left on the both of them they were basically skeletons.
"What the hell?"
The twins were moaning in agony as a new man, a buff man with a gauntlet around his right arm approached them.
"I can cure you, you know."
"You gave me this disease!" Satin spit
"Yes, but I can also take it away. I came to you nicely offering to buy the company but you refused. I had to inject you with this rare degenerative disease in order to get what I wanted. But I'm no monster. I will give you the cure to keep you alive but you must do what I say.
"And what is that?" Satin asked.
"You will stay on the company and you will have your staff make military weapons, the best weapons. Then you will give them to me to sell at auctions. The Raptors will be there and they will outbid every military outfit at the auctions."
"You get your hands on our inventions you will be unstoppable," Chenille cried.
"Well that's kinda the point is it?" Drago replied "You will give me those weapons, or I can just let the disease peel you away until you two are nothing but a skeleton. Your choice.
The two laid on the table sobbing before they nodded in agreement. "We'll do it."
"I knew you two would pull through." Drago then tossed Satin the antidote and she took it before handing it to Chenille.
"Oh by the way the cure only last for four hours at a time. I will give you enough to last for a month but you will need to continue to build me weapons every month if you want continued shipments."
"Your a monster," Satin spit.
"Maybe, but your life is in my hands."
As the video ended all three of them were left speechless at what they watched.
"My god!" Scarlett gasped
"The Raptors, they are inhumane." Harper cried
"It appears your boss is being forced to work for the Raptors in order to get the medicine she needs to stay alive." Cooper pointed out
"What are we going do now?"
Scarlett thought about her suit, there was no way in hell she was going to let it fall in the Raptor's hands. But she also knew she couldn't let her boss wither away to bones due to those monsters.
"We are going to confront Drago, we are going to free Satin and Chenille from their grip and take her to the Watchdogs. Tooth is the best medical doctor in the world. If there is a permanent cure for whatever they have she will find it. The Raptors are done using my creations. It's time the buyer meets the maker."
As the sun rose early the following morning Satin and Chenille met with Drago behind the shipping yard, a whole hour before Vishkar opened. A large crate was brought up to Drago on a forklift and set down between him and the twins.
"Let's see what you got for me this time," Drago chuckled.
"Give me my antidote first." Satin growled.
"Satin, Chenille, you know the rules by now. My products first, the antidote as a award. Can't risk you two bowing out on me now."
"Our whole survival depends on you, why on Earth would we bow out?"
"A guy can't be to careful," Drago grabbed the door to the crate and ripped it off, only for him and the twins to gasp as they both saw that the crate was empty.
"Where is my product?" Drago growled at the twins.
"I...I don't know, I loaded it last night, it should be in there!"
"It's right here!" Drago turned around and to his surprise he saw a girl flying a jet powered suit while carrying a rocket launcher in her hands. "Sorry, but you've been using my weapons for your own evil desires for to long. I'm afraid I am going to have to end our business relationship!"
"I'll take that antidote," Harper suddenly jumped out of the shadows and grabbed the antidote and ran off.
"Girl you have no idea who you are messing with!" Drago growled.
"Scarlett what the hell our you doing?" Satin screamed "You are signing our death certificate!"
"Get back boss," Scarlett fired a mini rocket that knocked Satin and Chenille out of harms way before she aimed her main rocket launcher at Drago. "I'm ending this once and for all!"
Scarlett fired her rocket at Drago. Drago dodge to his left, barley missing the blast of the rocket fired in his direction. Drago growled as he used his gauntlet to leap in the air. The gauntlet allowed Drago to fly in the air for short bursts. This allowed Drago to fire four blades at Scarlett's direction. Scarlett was able to maneuver her jet pack in order to avoid the sharp blades coming her way.
Drago was just getting started with his attacks though, charging up his gauntlet Drago then charged at Scarlett, delivering a powerful punch that sent Scarlett crashing through a high floor window in Vishkar.
"Scarlett," Harper screamed as she saw Drago crashing through the same window after her. She knew there was nothing that she could do to assist her. Drago was heavily armed and way to fast for her. Scarlett was own her own. Her only way to help was to get Satin and Chenille out of the area of attack.
"I'm going to have to ask you two to come with me." Harper replied grabbing Chenille by her arm.
"Girl you have no idea what the hell you are doing." Chenille cried "We are dead for sure now."
"Fat chance, I grabbed the antidote to your disease."
"You fool that will only last a month!"
"Listen Chenille, Scarlett is the daughter of Branch and Poppy of the Watchdogs. She is going to ensure that both of you are going to get the help you need. You no longer are going to have to be forced to deal with that terrorist."
"You are ensuring that Scarlett is able to defeat Drago." Satin chimed in. "I've seen what that man can do. My only hope is that Scarlett's suit can be able to hold up as much as she advertised it can."
Scarlett groaned as she picked herself up off the floor.
"Damn he hits hard," Scarlett whined. She didn't have time to catch her breath as Scarlett once again got punched by Drago's gauntlet, knocking her through the other side of Vishkar. As she crashed through the window she was able to steer her jet pack so that she didn't fall to her death. Regaining her composure Scarlett waited as Drago shot through the roof of Vishkar and charged her.
"You want to play a game of cat and mouse Drago," Scarlett smirked "Let's play then."
Scarlett flew high into the clouds making Drago chase after her, looking down as she flew she fired one rocket at him, hitting him in the gauntlet. It barley slowed him down as he continued to chase after her. Making a sharp left turn Scarlett fired two more shots, Drago quickly made a sharp turn avoiding both of blast.
This time Drago was the one that attacked. Aiming his gauntlet at the flying troll he fired blade after blade at her direction. Scarlett zigzagged left and right to avoid making contact with the sharp blades. "You can't run forever girl, I will get whats mine even if I have to rip it off your dead corpse.
"Who says I'm running?" Scarlett turned around and fired another rocket, this one hit him on the side of the gauntlet sending him falling a few feet. Scarlett fired again this time hitting Drago in the chest sending him crash landing on the roof top of Vishkar Industries. Scarlett landed on the roof top and saw him laying emotionless and thought for a moment that Drago was dead and no longer a threat.
Suddenly in the blink of the eye Drago's eyes shot up and he leaped into the air and smashed through the rooftop sending the both of them falling. Scarlett fired the last rocket in her launcher at extremely close range. The close proximity did heavy damage to not only Drago's gauntlet but to Scarlett's suit also. Scarlett looked down at her breast plate and abdomen and saw holes and exposed flesh that was burned and bleeding.
Furious Drago launched high in the air, he knew his gauntlet wouldn't be able to stand much more, but he was going to end this one way or the other. Scarlett watched as Drago launched himself so high in the air she could no longer see him.
But she could hear him. Good lord could she hear him? As Drago shouted out the words "Meteor strike!" Scarlett knew she had to end this now.
With little time to lose Scarlett shot herself up in the air. She shot herself straight past Drago before turning around, opening the slots in her shoulder pads and firing every single rocket straight at his direction.
"Justice rains from above!"
Drago turned around and he screamed as he got hit with more than a dozen rockets at once. Crashing into Vishkar Industries Scarlett could only watch as her place of business exploded in a ball of flames.
As Scarlett watched as Vishkar Industries burned to the ground she instantly started second guessing her actions. Yes she just saved Satin and Chenille from being forced to work against their will to a terrorist, but at the cost of her job and quite possibly her freedom once the local law enforcement got word of this. Not to mention the wrath of her mother when she saw this on the news.
Her head hanging in disappointment, Scarlett let out a sigh as she returned to the ground. She was instantly greeted by a very upset Satin and Chenille.
"What have you done?" Chenille screamed "You have destroyed Vishkar Industries! We not only have gotten both of us killed but you have put thousands out of work and are setting up a economic disaster for Egypt. You know this country runs on Vishkar tech! Your actions will have dire consequences for the entire country!"
"I couldn't let him continue to use my inventions to hurt others."
"So your plan was to blow up Vishkar to stop one man?" Satin scolded
"I wasn't aiming to destroy the company." Scarlett insisted as tears fell from her eyes. "I was trying to get the battle away from here but Drago..."
"You know I'm glad I'm dying now, so I don't have to live to see how Egypt falls due to your actions." Chenille yelled. "And so help me I am going to drag you with me to whatever hell awaits both of us."
"None of us are dying I am getting the both of us to Wathdog's headquarters. Dr Tooth with find a way to cure you of whatever your suffering from.
"We are coming to." Harper replied "Me and Cooper?"
"Aren't you a little young?" Satin asked
"Lady I built a robot with my bare hands. What I lack in fighting capability I make up in brains."
"Great," Chenille sighed "I am entrusting my life with the woman who blew up my company and a girl who built a illegal war robot? I sure hope my death is quick."
As the five of them left, beneath the rubble where Vishkar once stood a hand shot out from a big pile of smoking debris. Drago rose from the rubble, his gauntlet completely shattered and his body battered and bloodied. He glared at the girl who defeated him and growled his revenge in a low voice only he could here.
"This is not over girl, I swear you have made a enemy with the Raptors today.
