As Reby fell asleep she was moaning and squirming in her medical bed. She was having a nightmare about being released from the Watchdogs.
"You are nothing without that suit of yours," A image of Branch replied in her nightmares.
"You can't be a Watchdog if you can't fight!" A image of Hiccup added.
"Please!" Reby begged falling at Branch's feet as she got down on her knees. "I still have more to give, I can fix my suit, or get someone to build me a new one. Please, don't kick me out, don't kick me out!"
Suddenly, a new image popped up. It was of someone she had never seen before, it looked like a troll, with yellow skin, blue eyes and dark hair. But something was different about this one, it was shining and it had wings.
"Who are you?" Reby asked
"It doesn't matter who I am," this mysterious troll replied "Only what I am here to show you."
"Show me?"
"Reby, the fate of man and machine rests on your shoulders. This war, it's about to get worsts, before this war ends man and machine will both come under the Raptors control and are going to attempt to commit genocide on each other. The Raptors are going to take complete control of the world and the only one who will be able to break his grasp on the world and free man and machine from their evil grasps will be you.
"But how?" Reby cried out. "I am useless in this condition. I have a broken arm, a broken leg. I don't have my mech. How can I save the world?"
"Reby, you have more talents than you possibly realize."
"The only thing I did before I was a Watchdog was play games all day. I didn't do anything heroic, I wasn't a soldier. I designed that mech after a video game character for God's sake and borrowed her name. I was nothing but a nerd. How on Earth can I save anyone?"
"When the time comes, you will know. Don't give up faith Reby, the world still needs you." Suddenly the strange troll vanished but as he disappeared the words he said continued to echo around Reby.
"The world still needs you."
Reby then shot awake and started hyperventilating. Was all of that just a dream? Was that strange troll just a figment of her imagination? Or was he an angel trying to communicate to her in her dreams? He sure looked like an angel, the wings and glow around him. But if he was an angel than why couldn't he just tell her what she needed to do?
"If you are real," Reby whispered "Then tell me what I need to do."
"I can't do that." Suddenly the troll popped out in the shadows making her let out a silent scream.
"You are real!" Reby gasped
"Yes I am,"
"Then why can't you tell me?"
"Because the only way for you to truly believe in yourself is for you to discover your path on your own. I cannot show you what you need to do Reby, only what will become of the world if you don't succeed."
Suddenly a image popped up of the robots completely wiping out all living things, the world was burning and the surviving robots was bowing at the feet of Creek, Ashe, and Drago, the last air breathing creatures on Earth.
The Raptors will take control of the humans and robots that is unavoidable. Jo herself will be put under Creeks control."
"No!" Reby gasped "Your lying!"
"I wish I was. The Watchdog's will be stretched thin, some of them will fall, and when they do, you will have to stand up, you will have to face your fear of letting everyone down. Your cousin, the world will depend on you!"
"I want to help, I really do, but I still don't know what to do!"
"That answer, will come to you. Trust me Reby, when the time comes, you will know what to do!"
"I need to know now so I can figure out how to pull it off!" Reby screamed "Tell me what I need to do!"
The angel didn't say another word, instead disappearing leaving Reby alone in her room screaming at the wall.
"TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO!"
On the other side of the world in Sweden, Puss had taken Harper, Cooper, to find Gobber, who Peabody had tracked down to a small town on the North side of the country. Along with the feline, young troll and robot, Puss was transporting the hibernation chamber that was currently holding the troll robot Rosiepuff, who had voluntarily shut herself down to avoid falling under the control of Creek. Now riding in the tailgate of the truck Puss was driving, Puss had pulled up to the parking lot of the house Gobber was said to be living in. Harper looked at what looked like a old beat up house that looked like it would fall down at the push of a slight breeze.
"This is Gobber's pad?" Harper questioned, tilting her head to see if she could find anything decent looking about this place. It looked to be two floors but the windows was all boarded up and the wood was in such poor shape that it was a miracle that it was still standing. "You would think that a engineer would know how to take care of his house."
Puss didn't say anything as he got out of the truck and walked up to the front steps. Puss then knocked on the door and took a step back. No answer, Puss knocked again, still no answer.
"Is he home?" Cooper asked
"Is this the wrong place?" Harper asked "Because it would totally make sense if it wasn't. This place looks like a total dump.
Puss suddenly heard what sounded like a hammer being taken to medal behind back. Walking towards the back of the house Puss signaled for the other two to follow him. Finally they saw him, hammering on an old turret in his garage that apparently also doubled as his workshop. The sounds of footsteps made Gobber stop his hammering, looking up he gave an old smile at the sight of a familiar face.
"Well look what the cat drug in."
"Good to see you to old friend," Puss laughed as he and Gobber embraced in a hug. "It's been a long time."
"It has indeed," Gobber noticed Puss's prosthetic arm "What happened to your arm there?"
"Well I always admired your hook hand so I thought I'd get me something similar," Puss joked causing Gobber to chuckle.
"Anyway," Gobber replied once he finally stopped laughing. "What brings you down here after nearly eighteen years?"
"Well I wish it was for just a friendly visit but sadly I need something from you."
"If it's about rejoining the Watchdogs, I'm afraid I will have to politely decline. I'm afraid my best years are behind me. I told Peabody nine years ago that I was retired, no longer possessing the qualifications I needed to survive out there on the battle field."
"I ain't here to persuade you to rejoin the Watchdog's Gobber. Rather you return or not is your decision. But I do hope you could do me a favor, for old times sake."
Cooper then showed up carrying Rosiepuff's hibernation chamber. Gobber's eyes went ride when he saw the four legged robot.
"And here I thought all robots were under the Raptor's command?"
"Not all of them," A young girl spoke up, walking up to Gobber and shaking his hook hand. "Name's Harper. I built this fine robot you see here. His name is Cooper and he was made with a special chip that is one hundred percent hack proof. Puss here is hoping that you could create a similar chip that can be put inside Rosiepuff so she can return to action."
"I'm a bit confused here lass," Gobber replied scratching the back of his head with his hook. "You said you made this robot by yourself but you didn't make the chip that operates him?"
"I bought the chip with my allowance money from Vishkar, sadly the company got destroyed by Poppy's daughter in a battle with the Raptors."
"Poppy's daughter got in a run in the the Raptors?"
"Yes and it was so cool," Harper squealed before returning to topic. "Anyway with Vishkar now destroyed I can't get my hands on another chip."
"We were hoping Gobber, with your engineering skills that you might be able to study Cooper's chip and make another one that we can use for Rosiepuff," Puss finished.
"It's been many of years since I have last worked on a robot," Gobber replied scratching the back of his head again. "Not since the very first war with the robots. My knowledge on them may be a bit rusty, but I will see what I can do. However I am going to have to get inside your robot in order to do this, which would involve you shutting him down during the process."
Harper turned to Cooper and placed her hands on his metal face. "Are you sure your okay with this?"
"I was built to be a hero Harper, to help bring peace between man and robot. If shutting myself down temporarily in order to help a fellow bot in what I need to do to help save the world than that is what must be done."
Harper turned back to Gobber. "You will put the chip back in and in one peace when you are done right? As well as reactivate him?"
"Of course lass. But in order to make the chip I need to see what I am working with."
Harper let out a sigh, still unsure about this procedure, "Then let's do this."
"I will be okay Harper," Cooper ensured. "Remember, this is what you built me for."
Harper let out a small heartfelt tear as she hugged her robot and smiled. Cooper was so brave and confident, but humble at the same time. He was the absolute perfect robot and it made her proud to see him willing to got to such lengths to help out a fellow robot.
"All right now," Gobber walked up to Cooper with his set of tools, taking out a wrench he patted it in the palm of his hand and smiled "Let's get started."
Walking up to Cooper's chest he unscrewed the panel that held his activation switch.
"This won't hurt a bit I promise." Gobber ensured. "It will be just like us humans taking a nap." Flipping the switch Cooper then hunched forward as he deactivated. Even though Harper knew her robot was going to be okay, seeing him get deactivated even temporarily hurt enough to cause some tears to swell up in her eyes.
Gobber then got on a ladder as he worked to unscrew the panel in Cooper's head that held his chip. After that was successful he then worked on taking the chip apart and in order to study each and every part of it. After a few minutes of studying each part with a magnify glass, Gobber finally looked back up at the feline and young troll with a humble smile on his face.
"Well good news is I can definitely make you another one. The bad news is it might take a while. I don't have all the parts I need and the closest shop that has what this needs is two hours away. I really hope you wasn't planning on being home in time for dinner."
"We didn't come all this way here expecting a easy fix Gobber," Puss replied "Do what you have to do, we trust you."
"I'll come with you," Harper replied, "since I'm the only other one that knows anything about robotics."
"I'll stay here and guard the robots," Puss ensured as Gobber and Harper left to retrieve the parts they needed. "Good luck."
Once Gobber and Harper left Puss opened the hibernation chamber and looked down at Rosiepuff, who was still offline, her metallic eyes closed and her arms draped over her chest. She looked like a deceased troll laying in her casket. Puss didn't want her to deactivate herself. In fact he tried hard to talk her out of it. But Rosiepuff somehow was able to sense that something bad was about to happen with the robots and instead of risking herself falling under Creek's control she allowed herself to be deactivated. But with her being such a powerful member to the team, Branch needed her back online which is why Puss was willing to sit by himself for four hours and guard Rosiepuff with his life if it meant they could get him back online.
"Don't worry Rosiepuff, you will be awake again soon."
Puss then sensed something sneaking up behind him. His fingers reaching for his sword, he turned around and gasped when he saw Pitch forming into his full self right behind him. His skull mask and black cloak still as creepy as the last time he saw him nine years ago.
"Hello Puss," Pitch growled.
"Pitch!?" Puss gasped before raising his sword. Pitch then turned back into smoke and floated up to where Puss's arm was. Returning to his full form he grabbed Puss by the arm and tackled him to the ground, pulling Puss's arm behind his back and pinning him to the ground with his foot.
"I'm not here to fight,"
"Well from my angle it sure looks like it," Puss growled. "Why are you here Puss? How did you track me here?"
"Peabody isn't the only one with the means of tracking down old Watchdog agents. And as crazy as it might seem I'm here to warn you."
"Warn me?" Puss snapped "About what your upcoming attack? Already warned!"
"No stupid," Pitch snapped "Now you listen to me and listen to me carefully, although you might not like it you are going to need my help. Creek and the Raptors have been abducting people from all overt the globe. He is planning on putting them under his spell the same way as he did the robots. He is planning on committing mass genocide. With either the humans or robots being the only ones standing and the winner bowing down to him. I might have hated the robots Puss, but I didn't want to wipe out all of damn humanity to rid the world of them."
"And why are you telling me this?" Puss hissed "Aren't you one of them?"
"I quite the Raptors when Creek killed Chef. Creek put a hit on me, I have been hiding in the shadows for years."
"Well can't say I pity you? So why the change of heart anyway?"
Pitch then released Puss and took off his skull mask. Puss's eyes lit up in horror as he saw Pitch's face was decaying. The skin was totally gone on half of his face, and one of his eyes was gone. The skin on the other half of his face was cracking and looked like it could fall off at any minute.
"What the hell happened to you?"
"Let's just say that without Chef to keep me alive I have been slowly dying these past years. I was dead before Chef brought me back to life with her dark magic. With her dead I have been slowly returning back to my lifeless state. The doctors said recently I have at most a month left before my body completely decays and I return to the dead. Let's just say I want to make things right before I die."
"Why now? You had nine years to come asking for forgiveness."
"I have been looking for Creek, trying to find what it is he is up to. I even teamed up with a ally of the Watchdogs in order to track him down. Now I know where he is, and what he is planning. We can stop him together."
"If what you are saying is true, than I will definitely pass this message to Branch and warn him about Creek's plan. But if you are lying to..."
"You saw my face," Pitch hissed "Why on Earth would I be lying to you?"
"Well it's not like you have done much in recent years to earn my trust. If you really want to make things right you need to turn yourself in to the Watchdogs, you need to make amends for your crimes and then join us in taking Creek down.
"I will join you in battle, but I cannot return to the Watchdogs, they will just throw me in a cell where I will spend my last few days. I am dying Puss, and there is no way in hell I am spending my last days in a cell. When I die I am going to drag Creek down to whatever hell awaits me. All I ask of you is that you keep my tip anonymous and that when the time comes that me and Branch does meet again, you will vouch for me."
"I will only vouch for you, when I can confirm what you are telling me is true. Not a moment sooner."
"I guess that's fair enough. But trust me you will see I'm not lying Puss, you will all see."
Puss watched as Pitch turned back to smoke and flew off, as soon as Pitch was gone Puss hissed as he returned his sword to it's sheath.
"You better not be."
