"Thanks for the heads up Puss," Branch said over his phone back at the Watchdog's headquarters. Puss filled Branch in on everything he had found out from Pitch, from what the Raptors was up to and where they could find them. All he didn't say was who Puss got the info from. In case this went south and Pitch proved to not be as trustworthy as he was letting on, Puss needed to ensure he kept informant secret for the time being. "If what your informant is saying is true then all hell is about to break loose. I will inform the others and get some men out there as soon as possible."
"I really wish I could be there myself to assist you, you might need all the help you can get right now."
"You are where you are supposed to be. The sooner you get Rosiepuff up and running again the better. How far along are you by the way?"
"Gobber just shortly got back with the peaces he needs now it's just as matter of getting it put together. Hopefully we are able to get out of here soon."
"Keep me updated." Branch hung up the phone then instantly pushed the intercom button and called for Suki and Peabody
"Suki and Peabody I need both of you in my office as soon as possible please."
Within less then a minute Suki came running into Branch's office at high enough speed to make the papers on his desk fly off, Peabody joined her shortly
"You needed to see me Commander?" Suki asked with a salute to her superior.
"I do actually, I just got information from Puss, apparently he got a anonymous tip that the Raptors are abducting citizens from all over the world and holding them up somewhere. I need the both of you to track down where they are and rescue them."
"Why is Creek abducting people anyway?" Suki asked
"According to Puss's tips, he is planning on putting as many humans as possible under his control in order to create the ultimate war between humans and robots until only one side remains to serve him.
"Any tips we can go off of on where to find them?" Suki asked
NASA has satellites set up all over the planet. If I can find a way to pick up any signals from those satellites maybe we can find out where they are hiding them."
"That might take to long," Branch replied "We need a lead, something big so we can know where to start looking."
"Then I know just the person," Suki and Peabody turned around at the sound of a voice they hadn't heard in years . Everyone gasped when they saw Poppy walking in the door, it wasn't just Poppy though, the assassin known as Recluse was also standing next to her.
"Poppy?" All three gasped before they noticed Recluse. "And Recluse?"
Within the blink of an eye Suki ran up to Recluse and tackled her to the ground, putting her in handcuffs. "You are under arrest for terrorist activity, the assassination of a robot's right leader, and a hell of a lot of other stuff."
"Suki get off of her this instance," Poppy ordered
"Sure," Suki yelled as she lifted the now handcuffed Recluse to her feet. "Just let me take this terrorist to her cell then..."
"Bridget is with me."
"Bridget?" Suki asked confused.
"Wait?" Branch and Peabody walked up to Bridget and studied her over. Sure enough this was the bergen girl that was once married to their fellow Watchdog and friend Gristle Jr.
"Bridget, your alive? But how can this be? We thought you was murdered alongside Gristle?"
"No I wasn't," Bridget cried "The Raptors had abducted me, brainwashed me. They turned me into a mind controlled weapon that was only obedient to their command. I knew what I was doing, I remember all the lives I took, but I was powerless to stop them. Poppy broke me from their control, she saved me."
"Okay time out!" Suki cried positioning her two hands into a T. "Can someone tell me what the hell is going on here? First off Poppy, your alive? Yet you somehow know the person that we thought was responsible for killing you? Now you come back here eighteen years later and tell us this person we all thought was evil actually isn't and we are all supposed to somehow accept that?"
"I know this is a whole lot to take in," Poppy admitted "And trust me I will give you all the explanation you all deserve. But I heard what you are all up against. I truly believe Bridget here can help cause she knows the Raptors better than anyone."
"So you know where we can find where the Raptors are holding the abducted civilians?" Peabody asked
"I don't know anything about any abducted civilians but I do know where you can find a certain Raptor. I have been tracking them for years, and even though I have just missed her each time I know that Ashe likes to vacation in Havana around this time each year. If you can find her down there, she just might tell you where the abducted civilians are."
"It's at least a start, thank you." Branch turned to Suki and Peabody. "Head to the meeting room, we are about to form a capture mission. Dismissed."
As Suki and Peabody turned to leave Suki turned and stared at both Poppy and Bridget. "You owe me one hell of a explanation Caption Poppy."
"I know, you deserve one, but right now we got work to do."
Suki then gave one last glare at Bridget. "This doesn't mean I trust you, don't think I have forgotten what you did last time we met."
"I know, I don't deserve your trust right now or your forgiveness."
"Your damn right ya don't. I got my eye on you, you make one false move and so help me it will be the last move you make. I ain't the rookie you went up against last time."
"Suki, meeting room, now!"
"Yes Commander."
In the infirmary Tooth was filling a syringe with a possible antidote. She created it with her nano tech hoping that it could fight the twins condition and hopefully cure her.
"I hate to use you as a guinea pig," Tooth admitted "But considering you are the first ever patients with this disease that I have encountered."
"Do what you must," Chenille replied.
"Okay here we go." Tooth then injected the antidote into the twins. She injected Satin first before moving to Chenille. Nothing happened for a few seconds but then suddenly the twins skin started healing. The cracks in their skin suddenly smoothed out and their color started to become brighter. The twins turned towards each other and let out a overwhelmed grin at the thought that this might work. A grin formed on Tooth's face to at this small victory.
"Thanks doc," Satin replied
"This is only a small victory," Tooth replied "I still need to run more test on you to see if the disease is only contained or if it's gone for good. This was a experimental drug so there is a lot of question marks still yet to be answered. In the meantime though stay here and take your pill as needed."
Suddenly there was a knock on the infirmary door causing Tooth to turn around and glare at the intruder.
"How many times have I asked for zero interruptions when I'm working?"
"Sorry Tooth," Jack yelped "But there is someone at the front entrance asking to see you. Po and Shifu is refusing them entrance and Po is threatening lethal force. Your presence is greatly requested.
Tooth's eyes widened and she instantly ran towards the front entrance. When she arrived she saw Barb arguing with Po who was refusing to take his bow off of her.
"So help me you if you don't let me in this instant you big fat panda I am going to take that arrow of yours and stick it up your..."
Barb then froze when she heard Tooth calling her name
"Tooth my good friend!" Barb lit up in glee at the sight of her partner and friend "Please tell this stupid teddy bear to back off."
"It's okay Po, she's with me."
Po nodded and lowered his weapon but as Barb walked pass him Po put a hand on her shoulder and glared at her.
"Just for the record I'm not a big fat panda. I'm the big fat panda.
"And just what the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"It means that I am watching you as well as any other potential threat like a hawk, if I even think you are a threat to my friends you find a arrow in your chest before you even have a chance to blink."
"She's a friend trust me," Tooth insisted as she scooted Barb along.
"You got to excuse Po, he is very skeptical of any potential intruders."
"Well at least you have good security. So you said you needed my help?"
"Yes, on top of a injured Watchdog I have a patient with a rare disease and even though I believe I am making progress on a experimental antidote I could really use a second eye on this one."
"I am happy to help where I can."
Suddenly Branch's voice came over the intercom again.
"All Watchdogs proceed to the meeting room at once, no exceptions."
"Dammit," Tooth hissed before turning to Barb "I'm sorry."
"Hey I get it," Barb chuckled "I use to be a Raptor, I'm use to these things."
"Why don't you tag along? I can introduce you to my friends."
"But I ain't a Watchdog?"
"I'll vouch for you, come on." Tooth than grabbed Barb by the hand and rushed the two of them off to the meeting room.
"Tooth, bout time you made it," Branch replied harshly, "Sit down."
Branch's eyes instantly fell of Barb. Barb just let out a nervous grin and waved as Branch turned and glared at his doctor. "Who the hell is this?"
"This is Barb, she was my assistant these past few years. I asked her for some assistance."
"You know all new hires run through me."
"Well me and her are a package deal right now so if you want me you get her."
"We could use all the help we can get right now," Astrid replied "If Tooth trust her than I do."
Branch sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers. Sighing he waved his hands and gave in. "Fine, but she is stationed here until I can trust her own the field."
"Fine by me, I'm a doctor anyway." Barb replied.
"So what's this meeting all about anyway." Tooth replied as Po and Shifu walked through the doors.
"We have got some important information involving the Raptors and their possible whereabouts." Branch began "According to a informant of Puss the Raptors are abducting civilians and are planning on brainwashing them in order to start a out of control war with the robots that will ultimately lead to the genocide of one side."
This news caused a gasp across the room.
"Although the location of the Raptors main base is not known we believe one the Raptors Ashe is currently vacationing in Havana. I am planning to send four agents out to apprehend her and bring in her in for questioning."
Branch then turned to Peabody. "Peabody, I am leaving you in charge, and am going to send Suki, Shifu, and Tooth with you."
"You can count on me sir." Peabody saluted.
"Wait?" Tooth gasped "But sir I am needed in the infirmary, we got a injured agent and a rare disease to deal with.
"But you are still a soldier," Branch replied "And right now, I need you."
"I can handle things in your place Tooth," Barb insisted "After all, I am a doctor to. You gave me a second chance, I learned so much under you. The least I can do is cover for you."
"This is a very big task with this disease I am working with, you sure you can handle things."
"Of course, I may not be as knowledgeable on nano tech as you but I know my diseases."
Tooth gave her friend a hug before turning to Branch. "Very well, I accept the mission."
"Then pack your things, you move out at once."
Yeah I know this chapter was a bit shorter but it was needed to act as a bridge for a much bigger and action packed chapter. Next chapter is going to be epic so don't go anywhere.
