I started watching Total Drama, and I thought it was a great way to have my favorite Magical Girls see who's best. For those who may not know about WITCH or Miraculous Ladybug, here's a synopsis. Kandrakar is a place outside of time where the Oracle watches over the worlds. The Guardians of Kandrakar are tasked with defending the worlds when necessary, and they have the power of the elements. Will uses the Heart of Kandrakar to transform them. While her power is called Energy, she can control electrical objects and electricity. Each girl can shoot energy beams in their elemental colors and they have a variety of other powers besides their elemental ones. WITCH was first a comic series then was adapted into a cartoon, and there's a lot of differences between them. In the comics they have a New Power transformation which is the transformation they have here. This universe is more like the comics but it's an AU. Miraculous Ladybug has Ladybug and Cat Noir fight Hawk Moth. They get their Miraculouses from Master Fu, and though they have other heroes join them, it's always temporarily. None of the heroes know each others' civilian identities, and Chloe even joins Hawk Moth! As teenagers, they can only use their special superpowers once before turning back. This is an AU where they know their identities, Chloe is still part of the team, and they're older and can use their powers multiple times. In this AU, both teams are known to the world and they have fans who constantly debate who's better, which is why they're on Total Drama.
A dark-haired man was standing on a dock."I am your host, Chris McLean, and welcome to the first season of Magical Girl Island, where we will see which Magical Girl will reign supreme! First, let's introduce the contestants!"
The camera cut away to show two boats. As the first boat came into view, Chris said, "meet the Guardians of Kandrakar, a team of girls who use the elemental power of Energy, Water, Fire, Earth, and Air to defend the worlds. They are Will Vandom, Irma Lair, Taranee Cook, Cornelia Hale, and Hay Lin." The five girls waved and stepped off onto the deck.
As the second boat arrived, he continued, "these girls are part of a team who use the power of magical jewels called Miraculouses to turn into superheroes. After defeating a super-villain named Hawk Moth, they concentrate on defending Paris from ordinary criminals. They are Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Alya Cesaire, Chloe Bourgeois, Alix Kubdel, and Kagami Tsurugi, also known as Ladybug, Rena Rouge, Queen Bee, Bunnyx, and Ryuko." The five girls waved and stepped off onto the dock.
"Since this season is to see whose magic is superior, you are going to transform for each challenge which will be magical in nature, and you can keep your magical items." Chris said. "However," he continued, "don't think of trying anything funny on me or Chef with your powers, or you will receive a penalty. Now it's time for a group photo."
After the photo was taken, Chris said, "This is Camp Wawanakwa, your home for the next ten days. The last camper standing will receive $100,000 and the title of Ultimate Magical Girl. You'll be in two teams. Normally I'll randomly make the teams, but this is also to see if the Elements or the Miraculouses are superior. Team Guardians will naturally have all the Guardians, and Team Ladybug will naturally have the others." He gave Will a pink flag with the Heart of Kandrakar on it, and he gave Marinette a red flag with black spots and a picture of a ladybug on it, then continued, "each team will have their own cabin, Team Guardians will be in the east, and Team Ladybug will be in the west. You have communal bathrooms right near the cabins. You will also be on camera in all public areas, and you will also be able to share your innermost thoughts on tape with video diaries any time you want. Let the audience at home know what you're really thinking, or just get something off your chest."
CONFESSION CAM
Cornelia: I can't believe Will talked us into this! Just because I'm the Earth Guardian doesn't mean I want to be in a run-down summer camp! And why can't we have bathrooms inside our cabins?
Chloe: My Daddy's the Mayor! I demand my own cabin with my own bathroom!
Hay Lin: This is so exciting! I've always wanted to be on TV! I know Chris is kind of crazy and the challenges will be crazy as well, but we've been itching for a chance to use our full powers now that there's no evil for us to fight right now!
"You have thirty minutes to unpack and meet me at the Main Lodge," Chris said when everyone was at the cabins.
Everyone headed inside their cabins and started to unpack when there was a bloodcurdling scream from the east cabin. Everyone rushed over to see Taranee standing on a stool while a cockroach was scurrying around. While most of the girls were freaking out, Kagami grabbed a nearby ax and chopped it in half.
"That's quite a way to kill a cockroach," Irma said with an impressed smile.
Later, at the Main Lodge, Chef was saying, "since your fans demanded that you get actual food and we had to oblige or get low ratings, you will be getting sloppy joes and rice. However, I serve it three times a day, and you will eat it three times a day! Grab a tray, get your food, and sit down!"
While they were eating, Chris came in and said the challenge will be in one hour.
One Hour Later
"Are you crazy?" Alya said in disbelief. "You expect us to cover ourselves in honey and run from ravenous bears?"
"Yes, without hurting the bears. Besides, you all faced worse than this, and the heat-seeking missiles I originally wanted were way over budget. While running from the bears, and you must run so no flying for the Guardians. you must also go to where the crates of hot tub supplies are, bring them back to camp, and build a hot tub. The team with the best one wins, while the losing team has to vote someone off. Luckily for you, you get a thirty-second head start since it would be pointless for you to get mauled without having a chance to use your powers. Part of the challenge is to think creatively while in a stressful situation. Now transform and get cracking!"
The girls shrugged and did that. The Guardians were in blue and purple outfits with with wings, and the others were in colorful spandex suits. Each girl had a load of honey dumped on her by Chef from a helicopter, then took off. Thirty seconds later, six hungry bears were released and charged after them, following the trail of honey that Chef was making.
While running, each team had chosen which girls would defend and which girls would carry the crates. The Guardians were in the lead since Hay Lin used wind to carry most of the crates and Irma blasted the other with a continuous stream of water. Meanwhile, Will surrounded herself and the others in a force-field and they fended the bears off. Cornelia used vines and tremors and Will and Taranee used low amounts of their elements to slow the three bears chasing them(the other three were going after Team Ladybug) as they went to the cabins at a slower pace. They were getting close to the cabins and the bears were still chasing them, so Cornelia used her powers to grow berry bushes. When the bears stopped to eat, the three girls helped bring the crates to their cabin and they started building.
Meanwhile, in addition to them dodging the bears with their enhanced agility, Queen Bee was spinning her spinning top to make a shield and Ryuko and Bunnyx were using their sword and umbrella to fend them off(Rena Rouge was thinking how to use an illusion to help) while Ladybug threw her yo-yo into the air and yelled,"Lucky Charm!" Energy shot out of it and turned into a large red catapult with black spots. While she thought how to use it, she told Queen Bee to paralyze the bears with Venom while she helped to fend off the bears. With the bears paralyzed, she told Rena to help her put the crates in the catapult one by one and fire them while the others ran ahead to unload them.
"This is fun!" Rena said as they launched the first one. They had just launched the last one when the bears started to recover and the girls ran down the path with the bears after them. When they reached the cabins the bears joined the others in eating from the other berry bushes that Cornelia grew, letting them unload the crates and start building. While they were building, Chef and the interns came and tranquilized the bears then took them away.
"Let's see how you did!" Chris announced shortly after. "This is an awesome hot tub," he said to Team Guardians. "Team Ladybug, not so awesome." The Guardians were declared the winners and were told they can use the hot tub in their spare time while Team Ladybug had to vote one of them off. Chloe had a fit and whined that she wanted a hot tub, and she deserved one since her Daddy was the Mayor!
"Of Paris! This is Canada," Chris said with an eye roll.
Confession Cam
Alya: I guess I'll vote for Chloe. Her power is handy but she's a bit of a brat.
Marinette: If I had to choose, I guess Chloe. She has come a long way but I don't know if I can take her attitude.
Chloe: I would vote off Marinette, but her powers are handy and I like Ladybug. I guess I'll vote for Kagami. I still don't like her, and how is turning into wind supposed to help?
At the Campfire Ceremony
"Four of you will get a marshmallow, and one of you will walk down the Dock of Shame to go on the Boat of Losers, and never come back. Ever! Here's a marshmallow for Marinette, for Alya, and for Alix. The last one goes to… Kagami! You shouldn't have had a temper tantrum, Chloe, now bye-bye."
Chloe stuck her nose in the air and walked down the Dock of Shame and onto the boat.
"The girls fought off hungry bears with a spectacular display of their powers! While Team Ladybug lost the hot tub challenge, Marinette showed us her creativity with that awesome catapult, and no wonder, since her Lucky Charm can conjure up any useful object! Chloe was voted off because of her attitude problem, but she showed us that if you mess with Queen Bee, you get the stinger. Who will be voted off next? Find out next time on Magical… Girl… Island!"
A big thank you to DiscordantPrincess who wrote a hilarious TD crossover with Disney Villains that helped me a lot. Please tell me who you want to see win/be in the final two and what their other challenges should be. The comics don't tell us how much weight Hay Lin's winds could carry though I think she could've carried all the crates, but it would be probably be easier for her to have help. Lucky Charms are always helpful, but they usually require some thinking on how to use them. It doesn't say how long Venom lasts, but it probably doesn't last too long.
