The next day, since Mephisto was busy meeting with the Grigori again, the students were helping the builders fix the School. Most of the adults were surprised to get a bunch of teenagers asking to help them, but with the city having been attacked by a hoard of Demons recently, they were a lot more open-minded. Rin carried a huge bag of rubble over to the rubbish pile, oblivious to the many whispers around him. With Satan's attack on Assiah, many more people had gotten Temptaints now, meaning more of the students could see that Rin wasn't just an ordinary human. But having been a Demon for at least a year now, the Indigo-haired teen was used to the whispers. However, one thing that did piss him off- "hey, isn't that that kid who was our Freashman representative this year?" one boy asked. Rin's attention turned towards the one who'd spoken. "Yeah, Yukio Okumera. Although, looking at him now, I don't even know why he's even allowed in this School!" his friend replied. The older of the twins tightened his grip around the bag in his arms, slowly crushing the stone rubble into powder with his strength.

"I mean, look at him!" the first boy added, gesturing to where Yukio was awkwardly carrying a twisted metal beam over his shoulder, still unused to his new strength, "I've heard that he and his brother aren't even human!" he continued. "Well I heard that those freaks were the ones who caused all this damage in the first place!" his friend added. "No way, really! What the Hell?! Why are they even allowed in the School?!" "Why don't we go let 'im know that we don't want his kind here?! I mean, who'd want a Demon anywhere near them-" the second teenager suggested, the two already heading over towards Yukio as they spoke, before something smashed into the ground in front of them with a loud crashing sound, startling the two boys so much that they instantly stopped in their tracks. "You know, it's guys like you that piss me off the most." Rin growled, standing before the two bullies, a furious look on his face as he glared at them. Both boys yelped and fell backwards, staring up at the young Demon in utter terror. "Let this be a lesson to all you assholes- my younger Brother, Yukio Okumera is off limits, understand! If you even think of trying anything to hurt him, I'll show you just scary I can really be! Got it?!" he demanded.

The two bullies quickly ran off, and the older twin was sure that they'd wet themselves as they did. Yukio sighed as he walked up to his brother, "you know you don't need to do that anymore. I can handle myself now Rin" the Teacher explained, as he wheeled over a Wheelbarrow filled with rubble. The Indigo-haired Demon shook his head, "weather you can handle them yourself or not, I'm still the older of the two of us-" he began, only to have Yukio cut him off with a chuckled: "yeah, by two minutes!" "and as the oldest, it's really my job to protect you. Always has been Bro. You've been monopolising my job for too long now, it's about time I step up again" Rin continued. Yukio sighed, "I know that you feel that way, but so did I and-" he began, a depressed look on his face, before he shook his head, and turned back to Rin, "anyway, we've spent enough time just standing around here, you should get back to work" he said. Rin picked up his bag again and sighed, rolling his eyes, "yes, yes. You'd better get going too" he replied. As the twins turned to go back to their own jobs, a chill went down their spines. Rin dropped his bag, hand automatically going to his sword. Immediately recognising the feeling, Rin looked around wildly, body tense and waiting.

'A Demon? Now?! But why? I haven't been targeted by Demons since we defeated Satan and destroyed the Gahena Gate in that last battle!' he thought, a feeling of dread filling him. Whatever was coming was dangerous. Not as bad as the Devil himself, but still far too powerful for any of the regular Students to be safe around. Luckily Yukio was already taking charge, "everyone! Get inside the School as quickly as you can! Any who are Excorsists, cover their retreat!" he ordered, getting his gun ready. Both brothers were tense and wary of whoever their enemy would be. Soon the majority of the Exwires were standing behind them at the ready. "Where is it?" Bon looked around warily, hands at the ready to start a Fatal Verse. "I don't know, but I'm getting a very bad feeling about this" Izumo muttered, Summoning paper ready. Suddenly a huge earthquake rocked the area, knocking pretty much everyone to their knees. "What the Hell! Where's that coming from!?" Rin demanded in confusion. The ground under their feet began to crack and move. "Oh crap! Everyone run!" Bon cried, as all the Exwires ran to get away. Almost without any warning the ground exploded from the force of something bursting up out of it. Nearly everyone hit the grass painfully, except for Rin, who was used to this by now and rolled before getting back onto one knee. "Is everyone okay?!" he demanded. A series of groans reached his ears. As the dust from the explosion settled, he saw his brother getting up and readying his gun again, "careful Rin! It's still there!" he called.

As the dust cloud faded, the older of the twins saw an absolutely massive Demon standing in front of them. It looked like a minotaur, if a minotaur had blue flames all over it's body instead of fur. It still had the bull legs, tail and horns, but where fur would be covering the legs and chest were blue flames instead. It's tail tip was also shrouded in the fire, much like Rin's own tail whenever he drew his sword. "What the Hell?! What kinda Demon is that!?" Bon exclaimed in shock. "I-I don't know. I've never heard of that one before" Konekomaru stuttered in worry. If they didn't know what it was, they couldn't find it's Fatal Verse. That made the two of them pretty much useless. Shiemi frowned, "it looks like it might have fire abilities, like Rin and Yuki. If it does, I should be able to block them, but I don't think I could do much else" the blond Tamer said nervously, knowing that she had been able to block Satan's flames when he'd possessed Yukio, but unsure of what else she could do in this situation. Meanwhile, Rin was gripping his sword tight, but his gaze kept flicking over to their friends that were standing battle-ready back near the School. His instincts were going crazy right now. This thing was incredibly strong and dangerous, that much he knew for sure.

Everyone would be in danger if they stayed there. But how could he get them away without drawing that Minotaur Demon's attention to them? "Well, well. If it isn't the two young Princes of Gahena. I've been waiting for this, for a long time!" the Demon sneered, punching the ground with one fist. The shockwave picked up the ground around him and created a giant wave of rock that shot towards them. Rin jumped in front of his brother and cut the wave apart with his sword, the blue flames melting the rocks that they sliced through. Suddenly the enemy was right in front of Rin, who gasped in pain as he was tackled to the ground. "Now, your time has come!" the Minotaur roared, attempting to skewer the older Okumera with his horns. But the Indigo-haired Demon grabbed them with both hands. However, the strength required from both of them caused the ground under Rin to shatter. "Rin!" Yukio cried, readying his gun and shooting at the enemy Demon. Only to have his bullets bounce off the tough hide, "what?!" the brown-haired Demon asked, shocked. Meanwhile, Rin was groaning under the pressure that his opponent was putting on him. The more he pushed back, the further into the ground he was forced.

He knew that if he didn't do something soon, then he would have nowhere to escape to when the Minotaur Demon went to skewer him with it's horns. With a cry of effort, Rin decided to use his final resort. He burst into flames, engulfing both of them in blue Hellfire. Everyone watching gasped as the large Demon burst into flames- and came out unscathed. "Wh-what!?" the teen groaned in shock, still struggling not to get pushed any further into the ground than he already was being. "Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Did you really think those flames would effect me?! Or are you just colour blind? You really didn't see the Satanic flames all over me!? You're pathetic!" the Demon cried, reaching into the hole and picking Rin up by his neck. The younger Demon struggled, but couldn't escape the powerful grip on his neck. Then he was slammed into the ground, before the Minotaur lifted one hoof and brought it down onto the boy's leg. Rin let out an agonised scream as his leg snapped in half. "Rin!" Shiemi cried, tears pooling in her eyes. "Leave him alone!" Yukio yelled, moving closer and shooting at the Demon repeatedly. But like before, the bullets only bounced off of their enemy's tough hide.

"So annoying. Go away!" the Minatour roared, lashing out with his tail and slamming it into the Teachers stomach, sending him flying across the lawn. "Mr Okumera!" Suguro yelled, at the same time Rin rasped out, "Yukio!" The older twin forced himself up as his leg healed, "hey, bastard. Your fight's with me, so leave my little Brother alone!" he roared, blue flames flaring to life around him. Rin raced towards their enemy, only to be hit with a surprisingly fast punch to the head, then kicked in the chest, sending him skidding across the grass. Rin wobbled as he tried to force himself upright, his ears ringing and his vision shaking. He coughed harshly, blood pooling on the ground from his mouth. He once again tried to force himself up, only to be kicked over onto his back. Then a hoof slammed down onto his chest, cracking his ribs. Rin let out an agonized scream. The hoof slowly added more pressure, crushing his ribs under it's strength

Rin continued to scream, coughing up blood, desperately trying to pry the leg up with his hands, but failing miserably. "That's it traitor, scream and beg. If only our Lord hadn't had intercourse with that human, he wouldn't be in a coma right now, and you wouldn't have had to suffer all this time. But I'll put you out of your misery now. And don't worry, your brother and little human friends will be joining you soon" he growled.

Blue Exorcist

Yukio groaned and held his head as he slowly looked around, where was Rin? Suddenly an agonized scream caught his attention and made his blood freeze in his veins. He knew that scream. It had been haunting his nightmares for weeks now. Head snapping towards the sound, Yukio's look turned into one of horror. The Minotaur Demon had his Brother firmly trapped under his giant hoof and was slowly crushing the life out of him. That was where the screaming was coming from. "Rin- Rin!" Yukio screamed, getting to his feet and rushing towards his Brother.
