Rin raced to find the Kurikara's sheath, increasingly worried for Yukio as he heard his younger twin roaring in fury. 'Damn it, where did that damn thing go?! I have to find it!' he thought desperately, looking around at where the battle had started. Noticing Konekomeru hiding nearby, the Indigo-haired teen ran over to him, "Konekomeru!" he cried. The small glasses-wearing Monk looked up fearfully as Rin ran over. "O-Okumera. You're okay" he stuttered, sighing slightly in relief when he saw who it was. "Have you seen the Kurikara's Sheath!? I have to put the sword away, otherwise Yukio will lose all control, just like I did at the Training Camp. But I can't find it damn it!" he growled, utterly terrified for his twin. He knew Yukio, even if he sometimes still surprised him, and he knew without a doubt, that if he hurt anyone when he was like this, he'd fall into a deep depression, maybe even worse! "well, I think it was over there, but the rubble was so heavy, that no one could get to it. Where's Mr Okumera?" he asked worriedly. "He's fighting with that Minotaur right now, but he's losing control of himself. I have to find that damn sheath, now!" Rin groaned, running in the direction his friend indicated.

Yukio was straining against the hazy feeling that was starting to take over his mind. But his rage was stronger. "Damn you, how dare you! You're nothing but filth! That bitch of a Mother of yours should have kept her damned hands off the King!" The Minotaur snarled. Yukio roared, grip on the Kurikara tightening, racing towards the Demon. Despite his immobility, the Minotaur attempted to punch the brown-haired half-Demon when he came close. However, Yukio knocked the arm away with a scream, and leapt over his enemy's head. Once behind his back, the Teacher snarled, and shoved the sword into the other Demon's back. The Minotaur screamed, but Yukio wasn't done yet. With another furious scream, the younger Demon forced the blue flames on the blade to flow into his prey's body. Suddenly the mighty Demon began screaming in agony, twisting and thrashing, as the inside of his body was boiled and burned away. The monster that had been thrashing them so completely, began to wither, muscles and internal organs burning from the inside out.
"How? This, isn't- possible! I can't be defeated, by the likes of you!" the Minotaur rasped as he died, finally collapsing to the ground, body withered and dry. Once the Demon was finally dead, Yukio reared back and let out a feral scream, the flames still flaring around him increasing in strength. Everyone that had been watching the battle could only stare in mute shock and horror. Rin was still sifting through the rubble for the Kurikara's sheath, finally finding it. Hearing his brother's scream, he flinched and turned to look over at the younger boy. He stared in horror at the withered corpse on the ground, then up to where Yukio still stood. "Damn it! he's really lost it! Yukio!" Rin cried, gripping the sheath tightly and running over to his brother. Yukio snapped his gaze to his brother, snarling, swinging the sword and sending a wave of blue flames at the boy. Rin blocked his face on instinct, the demonic fire slamming into him and dispersing. When they had, he stopped and stared at his enraged twin, "Yukio, I know how you feel right now. You can't stop yourself, but you don't want to hurt anyone either. You must be so terrified, just like I am every time I lose control."
Rin slowly stepped forwards, making Yukio growl in warning, "It's going to be okay. Because I'm your Big Brother, and I'm going to save you" he promised. As he continued to walk forwards, Yukio roared in fury and raced towards him, raising the Kurikara. "I told you that I wouldn't fight you Yukio. I kept to that even when you were possessed by Satan. So no matter what you do to me, I won't stoop to that level!" Rin swore. Suddenly his hand snapped out and grabbed the blade as it pierced his side. Rin screamed, but managed to keep it from piercing too deep. The Indigo-haired teen groaned in agony, pushing the flaming sword out of his body as he stepped forwards, then he wrapped his arms around Yukio's shoulders. The younger Demon seemed to be in a state of shock, but he growled when he was hugged, "it's okay, it's okay. I'm here Yukio. You don't have to be scared anymore. I'm right here, and I always will be" Rin promised. Yukio slowly calmed down, regaining his control as tears welled in his eyes and began trailing down his cheeks, "Rin-" he muttered, flames fading as he dropped the sword. The older twin simply held his brother close, "I know, I know" he whispered, the two of them slowly sinking to the ground. "Wh- what did I do? I could have killed them, everyone" he whimpered, feeling faint from the realisation. Yukio reached up and gripped onto his brother tightly, "Rin, I'm so sorry" he sobbed, burying his face into Rin's shirt.
After a few minutes of sobbing, the brown-haired Demon went limp in his brother's arms. Rin cradled Yukio close, a serious look on his face. "Well, well. I finally get back from my meeting, and this is what I find?" a familiar voice called from behind them. Rin, along with all the students who had begun to run over to the twins turned to the source of the voice. Mephisto stood there in all his flamboyant glory, a few other Exorcists flanking him. "It's the Director" Shiemi muttered. "Hey! If you tell me that this was another one of your 'tests', Director or not, I'm gonna beat your ass!" Sugero growled. "Why of course not! I'd never have unleashed such a powerful Demon on all of you, especially with the School compromised. After all, the wards are broken, everyone could have gotten hurt today, but despite everything, it seems like only a few actually got injured" Mephisto replied, turning to Rin and Yukio where they were on the ground. Rin glared at the older Demon. Despite the slightly better relationship between the two since he'd helped his younger brother after his misunderstanding with Yukio and Shiemi, the young Exorcist-in-training still didn't fully trust his 'Older Brother'.
"Even so, it would be better if everyone was taken to the Hospital on campus so that they can be examined fully. Gentlemen?" Mephisto prompted. The Exorcists behind him began moving to help people up and lead them to said Hospital. But when they came up to where Rin was still cradling his Brother, they were met with a threatening growl, "I can handle it on my own. He's my little Brother after all" the Indigo-haired Demon replied, tail flickering in agitation. He picked up the Kurikara, lifted Yukio into his arms and turned and carried his brother towards the Hospital himself. As everyone else left, the King of Time smirked, "well, well, this day turned out quite interesting, I must say. Yukio has much more potential than I ever thought" he said. "Can I fight him when I'm able to return to normal Big Brother?" Amaimon asked. "Maybe, but try not to destroy anymore of my things or threaten any of my students" the older of the two replied. "I still don't know why you built an Exorcist School of all things. I just don't understand it" the King of Earth commented. "It's true I may be a Demon, but I like this world, and I don't want our brethren to destroy it. Besides, the humans are far too much fun to kill off" Mephisto replied. "Whatever you say big Brother. I'm hungry now, can we go get something to eat?" Amaimon replied.
The older Demon began to walk away, 'you just don't understand, how beautiful things can be when they're fleeting' he thought.

Rin groaned as he woke up, it felt like his whole body had been put through a meat grinder. Then the memories of what had happened the day before caught up to him. He sighed, trying to relax on the Hospital bed, 'yeah, so that happened. Damn it, I can't believe that we nearly lost to that Bastard' he thought, before turning his head to the side and seeing Yukio sleeping in the bed next to his. Rin sighed in relief, "at least we're both still alive," he muttered. "Still though, that Demon's level of power was insane. How was it so strong?" he whispered. "I can answer that," a familiar nasally voice replied. Rin looked to the other side of his bed, seeing Mephisto there in his Dog form. "Urgh, hey, what are you doing here?" he asked, moving to sit up and groaning in pain. "No, no, don't sit up, you need to rest" the older Demon replied, jumping up onto the visitor's chair and changing back to normal. "Can all Demon's do that?" Rin asked curiously. "Only the high-level ones, so despite your inexperience, you and your Brother could learn shapeshifting if you want, eventually" the Director replied flippantly. "Cool, wonder what I'd be? Maybe a Dragon!" he pondered excitedly. A cough brought his attention back to his older half-brother.
"That particular Demon wasn't a normal Minotaur. It was actually born in the same place at the same time as our Father" Mephisto explained. Rin's eyes widened in shock, not even bothering to correct the "our Father" bit at the moment. "So you're saying, that that Demon was basically like Satan's twin brother or something?" Rin asked in shock. "That's right. And that's also why he had at least partial access to Father's flames. That Minotaur Demon was a very powerful enemy, and I was surprised that Yukio managed to kill him. And before you ask, I only got back in time to see the very end of the battle" the King of Time added. The younger Demon sighed and rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on, "well shit. I knew that there was something off about that bastard, but I had no idea that it would be something like that. *sigh*" Rin groaned, closing his eyes. They were seriously lucky to have even survived then, let alone killed the damn thing!
After a pause to allow Rin to absorb the information, Mephisto continued, "I thought you'd also like to know that everyone else is okay as well. Surprisingly, there was very little extra property damage as a result of the battle, which is good. The injuries you and Yukio obtained were the worst ones too." Mephisto explained, Rin letting out a massive sigh of relief. "Thank God. I was so worried about everyone. And Yukio? Has he woken up yet since the battle?" he asked. The King of Time shook his head, "not yet, you're the first to regain consciousness. By the way, while you're recovering here, I'd suggest thinking of ways to help your Brother control his flames. Unless, of course, you want today to repeat itself" Mephisto explained. Rin was dumbfounded, "um, why are you giving me that job? In case you don't remember, I've barely gotten control of my own flames so far" he replied. The clown-like Demon shrugged, "too bad for you. I have more than enough on my plate at the moment, I don't have the time to babysit you" he replied, getting up and walking towards the door. "Yeah right, you just don't wanna deal with us you damn clown" the Indigo-haired Demon muttered. "Just so you know, I will have to tell the Grigori about your brother's little breakdown the next time I see them" Mephisto added.
Rin jerked. He may not have been conscious when he was before them, but he had been given more than enough information. And even after he and Yukio had saved the whole of Assiah and defeated Satan, he was still on death-row unless he passed the Exorcist Authorisation Exam. The time he had until then had been lengthened due to the Devil's attack, but he was still on a death-count. "They, they wouldn't try to kill Yukio too, would they?" he asked, voice quiet and scared. The King of Time turned back to his younger half-brother to see him giving him an absolutely desperate look, "please," Rin began, "please don't let them kill Yukio, it's not his fault" he begged, the thought of losing his brother terrifying him and making a stab of pain lance through his chest. Their was a moment of silence, before the older Demon smiled slightly "Don't worry dear boy, I'll at least make sure they don't kill him. As for what I can negotiate for, we'll have to wait and see" Mephisto replied, before leaving the room via the door. Rin sighed, sagging carefully back into the bed. It hadn't been Yukio's fault that he lost control of himself. It had been that damned Demon's! So why were they always being treated like this!
Neither of them ever asked to be born as the Sons of Satan. And hadn't they already suffered enough because of it? Besides, Yukio only awakened very recently, what, did everyone think that he was perfect or something? Rin knew just how hard Yukio had worked to become the Exorcist he was today. He may have been regarded as a prodigy, but he had still had to work his butt off to get to this point. Yes, they were Demons, but did that mean that they had to suffer constantly, all for something that they couldn't control? Damn it, their lives really were Hell. Rin sighed, closing his eyes in exhaustion. Before he knew it, he was deep asleep again.

Mephisto stood in front of the Grigori, like he had a month previous. "So you're saying, that Yukio Okemera lost control of himself fighting this Demon, who supposedly was born in the same place as Satan?!" one of the men asked. After Earnest Egin's failed plan to destroy Gahana and all the damages it had caused, the previous members of the Grigori had been reinstated. "That is correct. However, this time, it was Rin Okumera that calmed his brother down and ensured that there were no more casualties after the enemy Demon was destroyed" Mephisto explained. "Why don't we move this along. What is it exactly that you want from us Sir Pheles?" one of the men asked. The King of Time grinned, "I want to suggest the same wager as before. We will ensure that Yukio Okumera gains control of his power, and aids his brother in defeating Satan. In return, you do not try to kill the boy, does that sound fair?" he asked.
"We will discuss this in private. Leave for now" another man ordered. Mephisto bowed, "your wish is my command" he replied, before turning to leave the Courtroom.

Half an hour later, Mephisto was called back in. "We have decided. Yukio Okumera shall be held to the same fate as his brother. He must learn to control his flames by the time of the Exorcist Authorisation Exam. As we understand it, the boy is a prodigy, we have no doubt that he will be able to make this deadline" one of the male members of the Grigori explained. Mephisto bowed, "thank you for your consideration. I shall go at once to tell the boys the good news!" he replied, straightening up and turning to leave.

However, upon returning to the True Cross General Hospital, he found both of his younger brothers to be sound asleep. The older Demon smiled slightly, 'I'm sure they'll what to hear about this. However, I suppose I could wait until they wake up again' he thought, watching the twins sleep with a small fond look on his face.
