Author's note: So this story is the brain child of my friend KJAX89 and I. Don't want to spoil too much, but I'm just here to say that this is a crossover between Frozen and the Disney Tv series Gargoyles. Two things that really don't go together... but thats what fan fiction is for, so I hope you enjoy going on this ride with me. If you're unfamiliar with Gargoyles I highly recommend it. Truly one of the best animation has to offer. (and if you don't want to... then I can only hope my writing stands on its own enough to make you adore the characters and plot lines as much as I do) To address some of the questions sent to me... Unfortunately yes, if you find the plot events of Frozen tedious, I'm sorry to inform you that some story beats are going to be used. (only a little though so bear with me). Ok thats it, please enjoy.

The once and future Queen of the Third Race, Titania wielded great power. Immortality grants great freedom hence opulence was never lacking, nor boredom. So it was surprising to say the least when she felt fulfilment for the first time when she was able to watch her daughter Janine Renard… Or Fox as she liked to be addressed... grow throughout her entire life.

Titania had sired many children with and without Oberon but Fox had always carried a special place in her heart. Fox was mortal and being mortal made Titania realize that TIME among its many abstract complexities carried consequences. Something that never once illuminated upon this Queen of Fae. Learned omnipotence suddenly translated to callousness, simple dismissiveness into neglect and it dawned on Titania... maybe a little too late that it was next to impossible to repay and shower love to a daughter who's entire lifetime was but brief flicker as compared to hers. It was an epiphany, it made her realize as to why she had forsworn Oberon's bed and company so long ago. Immortality turned one cruel and as she had once been, Fox had now become. Cruel, ambitious and callous.

And, strange as it may seem, her proudest moment was when Fox donned the Eye of Odin. His finest work, carved from the ice of Atohallan itself. It revealed the innermost aspect of a person, despite their strengths and weaknesses. And so, when Fox wore the Eye, her innermost self was revealed… And for just the briefest of seconds, Titania saw just what her daughter would appear as... had she been born a full fae, Cruel, ambitious and callous. A beast fueled by primal instinct and hunger. Alas though, Fox was mortal and wearing the eye of Odin therefore exhausted her mortal body. Time did indeed have its consequences. Luckily Xanatos and the gargoyles had arrived in time to take the eye from Fox.

Titania was thankful. Another feeling she had re learnt from her time among the humans, she really was ...But sometimes, she wished her daughter was powerful enough to access that form without aid...For it would mean that one day, she would not have to bury her daughter.

As the years went by, Anna pretty much went on without acknowledging her sister anymore. Or was it that Elsa refused to acknowledge her? It was hard to remember now. Her memories of Elsa were - when they were kids at least - well they were great. Her older sister had always been so much fun and kind, and really amazing at, well Anna couldn't remember that very well either, but it was probably easier to list the things Elsa wasn't amazing at rather than the latter.

The red head sighed. "The heir and the spare…" Cliche but… It wasn't until her parents were gone... did Anna realize she had basically lived up to that god awful stereotype. Not that Anna could exactly blame anyone for thinking that. Elsa was by all accounts going to be an amazing queen and well… Anna wasn't really good at... anything. The red head looked out of the window and at the closed gates, ever since they were shut... Well she couldn't exactly mingle with the villagers, I mean no one was ever awake when she snuck out at midnight for her "walks"... and since she was never going to be queen, her parents had never held her to as high a standard as they did with Elsa in regards to her royal studies. She never even got to sit in on any of those meetings and conferences Elsa did, so Anna always felt uncomfortably in between ... well somewhere. Anna frowned. See? She was already losing where she was going with this metaphor. She had a point to make... she was sure of it but ... DOESN'T MATTER because for the first time in forever, the gates were finally going to open.

Racing down the corridor in a very unladylike fashion to boot, Anna was just about to slip on her coronation shoes when she paused for a second, realising that she was just outside Elsa's door. The younger girl bit her lip. She KNEW like being ethereal and stoic and generally really really cold around other people was Elsa's whole thing and that her older sister practically craved isolation but ... Anna couldn't help but still want to be part of her sister's life. And Elsa was still human right? She had to be nervous or anxious or whatever a combination of those two feelings were... Like Elsa was never there for her, but there wasn't reason Anna couldn't be there for Elsa. Right? It was her coronation, any feeling human would be terrified. Not that Anna could ever gage any kind of human emotion of Elsa... maybe disdain for her... might explain the whole avoiding thing... Ok abort, this was a bad idea, and just as Anna turned to walk away, something made her pause.

"Be patient with her…" That was the last thing her mother had said before ... before ... well before the whole shipwreck thing-

"And I have a lot of patience. I'm the most patient person I know!" the red head assured herself. OK now for a reason to talk to Elsa. There always had to be a reason to talk to Elsa. Anna glanced down to the shoes she was holding and quickly shoved them into a nearby vase.

"Perfect."

Elsa meanwhile was having her own problems.

"WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?" she screamed internally as another column of ice trailed up the wall of her room. It wasn't bad enough that she could barely keep the curse in check, god forbid THAT wasn't hard enough but she had woken up that morning to discover something truly truly awful. She had thought, nay hoped, that what had happened last night had been some sort of horrible nightmare. But it wasn't, of course it wasn't ... Fate had always been cruel to Elsa so why on earth would it stop punishing her now.

The blonde had awoken to discover with horror that there, right where the jewel had burrowed into her neck had left a spot. An ugly, ungodly spot - pale blue and almost white splashed against her usually flawless skin.

When Elsa had hesitantly touched it, she couldn't help but recoil in horror. It was dry... hard ... It barely felt like skin and it was completely alien to the touch. Inhuman. And when Elsa had clawed at it desperately, it - it had... it had really hurt. It even bled a little. It took a lot more scratching and a lot more shuddered breaths and for her to even partly accept that it was there - that it was a part of her. That... was almost five hours ago and Elsa couldn't help but turn fearfully back to the mirror. It was getting worse. By now the spot had grown, like some kind of horrible rash up her shoulders, and across her back. Elsa counted herself lucky that she had spent her entire life controlling her emotions and with supreme effort she felt she had at least /slowed/ it's spread. Some part of her childishly hoped that if she could stop this for just a few hours ... it would just go away. The queen took a steadying breath and felt some relief that at least her coronation attire would at least hide the changes and maybe if she could just stay calm and focused, she could beat this - Whatever this is... She had to or else-

"ELSA?!" and the queen barely had time to throw on a robe before her little sister came bursting in.

"Oh hey Elsa, I can't find my shoes, could I borrow one of yours?"

"A-Anna please knock." but the strawberry blonde of course hadn't taken a word in and Elsa sighed.

"And please don't make a mess?"

"Right right of course, wouldn't dream of it I-" and Elsa blinked. Concerned by Anna's sudden uncharacteristic silence.

"Did you get… Did you get taller?" and Elsa felt something in her stomach drop. Now that she thought about it, she could feel her skirt touching her ankles. They were meant to go all the way to the ground-

"No of course you haven't- that'd be crazy!"

"Yeah crazy…" the blonde managed out, grateful that Anna was fully able to hold a conversation with herself.

"I can't believe the gates are finally open, all the new people we're going to meet, and ooh all the food they'd be preparing. Can you believe it Elsa?" and the queen's eyes went wide as she just barely managed to recoil from her sister who had leaned in to grab her arm.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" that had came out low… almost a growl and Anna quickly withdrew in shock.

"You - you know I can't stand it…" and for a moment it was like Elsa's eyes flashed, but the ferocity dissipated as quickly as it appeared and Elsa recoiled from her sister.

"Oh Anna.. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean-"

"No its ok!" and Anna gave a reassuring smile but Elsa could see how it didn't reach her sister's eyes." Personal boundaries ... I know that, don't worry about it." and Anna settled with just backing off, quickly making her way to the door.

"I'll see you in a few hours ok?"

"O-Ok" and Elsa watched tentatively as the door closed before burying in her face in her hands... Great, just perfect! She had yelled at Anna and for what reason? God she couldn't do anything right and the blonde winced as that dreadful prickling sensation hit her like a wave. Quickly she threw off the robe and her legs nearly buckled as she looked back at the mirror in fear... A sinking feeling in her stomach as she watched the disease finally creep its way down her arms... It was spreading faster...

Outside, Anna released a sigh of disappointment ...feeling stupid for even trying… That was really… dumb of her... grabbing Elsa's hand like that… but a part of Anna couldn't help feel just a little… resentful that her older sister had yelled at her … and over nothing... All she had wanted was to ease some of Elsa's obvious stress... and maybe for Elsa to show her *some* affection in return…. Y'know like a real older sister would. With a groan, the red head shook her head and retrieved her own stashed shoes from the vase. Like she said, it just felt stupid wearing the ones she had borrowed from Elsa… Wouldn't have fit her anyway. Maybe Elsa would have known that if she cared.

Outside the castle, down by the fjord, a hooded figure placed a firm hand on a younger man with slicked auburn hair.

"So is this too much to ask or is this going to be one of those things where my hubris clouds my judgment and my progeny comes to resent me?" There was a chuckle.

"Well I believe you to be well informed enough that you wouldn't throw me under the proverbial bus."

"Ah you have to be careful, buses don't exist just yet. Although-." and the young man rolled his eyes as he mounted his horse.

"Save me the gloating. Not all of us have the benefit of foresight like you do."

"Which is why I know you won't disappoint me." and with a wave, the young man guided his horse down the ramp and onto the docks. So... this was Arendelle. Not too shabby, maybe even beautiful in its own quaint simple charming kind of way. But he wasn't here for the view… He had bigger plans. Plans like bagging himself a princess, and almost on cue, the man caught sight of just who he was looking for... Princess Anna running down the dock, clearly not watching where she was going, the girl practically twirling as she got closer and closer. He waited till she was just right in front of him before edging his horse forward, crashing into her.

"HEY!" she had cried annoyed and he quickly made a big show of apologising, bowing and smiling at her. Showering her with compliments and false niceties. He was apologetic but not overselling it, keeping eye contact with her, making sure he was restrained but approachable... only holding her hand for a few seconds, not too long so it was creepy but no to quick for it to be perceived as cold .

"You're gorgeous." he heard her confess and the man smiled, Too easy... now it was the perfect time to introduce himself.

"You're majesty, it's an honour to meet you. I'm prince Hans of the Southern Isles."

The chapel was filled with so many people... Too many people. Elsa wasn't sure if the prickling sensation on her neck was because of the curse... or because she could feel everybody's eyes on her, like little pin pricks of heat… latching onto her, and to think she would be responsible for all these people when she can barely manage herse-. NOPE the sensation was real and Elsa subtly adjusted her cape, praying to god that the disease or whatever it was hadn't reached her neck. The soon to be queen held her breath… Nobody seemed to notice her discomfort and her eyes instinctively drifted to the one person who she knew would keep her calm. Anna… Her younger sister giving her an encouraging smile. The effect was immediate, the blonde feeling some of the uncomfortable heat dissipating, even that horrible prickling sensation seemed to have come to a stand still.

"Calm yourself, control yourself… You can do this." and the blonde steeled herself to listen to the bishop, the choir, Anna absent mindedly tapping her feet… It was another old trick her father had taught her. To focus on anything apart from what she was feeling, it seemed to keep the ice at bay. Elsa hoped it would do the same for the disease. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Anna giving a subtle wave to somebody in the audience and Elsa only barely managed to swallow the deep rumble that almost tore through her throat, pushing the growl back into its place.

"Please…" she begged nobody in particular. "Please... Just give me a little longer…." And she watched tentatively as the bishop approached her with the crown. The small piece of metal couldn't have weighed any more then a few pounds but Elsa could practically feel the weight of the world on her shoulders as the old man slipped it gently onto her head… She tried to keep her shoulders from trembling. How was she ever going to hide both the ice and this new problem from all her subjects and people? How was she-

"Your Majesty," and only then did Elsa realize it was time for the part she had dreaded most. The orb and scepter just inches from her… The bishop again, tried to grab her attention.

"Your Majesty," he whispered, "Your gloves." Elsa took a shuddering breath, trying her best not to look... too accusingly at the man, it wasn't like this was his fault, it wasn't like this was anyone's fault...It was her own fault for being born like this...Trembling the blonde slowly peeled away her gloves, her hands quivering as she placed them away. Hesitantly she checked to see if her hands looked… different… There was a pause, a silent breath of relief and Elsa really tried.. to not look like she was trembling violently as she retrieved the orb and scepter before turning to face her subjects. She held her breath as the bishop began speaking formally in Old Norse.

Stay calm...Don't feel, she chanted over and over in her head but having to literally face an audience made her realize how exposed she was, how one small mistake could literally ruin everything… Pabbie's vision of her being violently torn apart suddenly flashing before her eyes

"Stop." she pleaded with herself, her eyelids twitching and to her horror, she could see the rash starting to peek out from under her sleeves , crawling up her skin... making its way to her fingers...

"Don't feel…" but Elsa could also now feel that familiar crackle of energy and if things weren't already dire enough… frost was already gathering at the bases of the orb and sceptre.

"DON'T FEEL." and Elsa went from praying to actively holding her breath. As if trying to physically hold these two forces back at bay…. as if that would stop what was happening to her...

"Queen Elsa of Arendelle." and there was a frantic rush to return the orb and sceptre, Elsa quickly, almost desperately yanking her gloves back on as she turned to hesitantly smile at everyone in the room…

Finally… the worst was over…
