Chapter 3

Summer 1st

Day 1 of the summer season where the air was no longer cool expect at nights and around the 18 hour of the season is when the fireflies came out. Since today was the first of summer the lake was warm enough to swim in which was why this day is called Beach Day. An event that all townsfolk can go to the lake and have a relaxing time in the water. Not only that the entire town now knew that she and Leon were dating. Everyone was happy for them especially the girls since they were all close. Specifically Frey and Margaret the two acting like sisters was finally able to call her Meg now because of how close the two really where. Even now as all the girls were at the lake Margaret turned to Frey. "See I told you that you had fallen in love with Leon but you didn't want to believe me. I mean why else can you explain why you constantly talk with him, give him his favorites foods, and the only one who knows how to deal with his teasing. Your the only one who can tease him back Frey the only one which says something to me." "That may be true but it's not why I fell in love with him. I can't really explain it but he understand what's it's like to wake up in a new era and everything is change and I mean this event is a great example me and him are experiencing this for the very first time. Yes I knew this even existed the moment I became the princess but I never took part in it because I didn't what it was nor did I care at this point. I wasn't even close with you any of you my sisters in arms." The other girls who were their were Forte, Dolce and Pico, Amber, Margaret, Clorica, Xiao Pai, and of course Frey.

All of these ladies were in their swimsuits but Amber rushes and hugged Frey, "We think of you as our sister too Frey we care about you so much that all of us want you to be happy." Forte smiled, "I agree with Amber I mean not know what you see in Leon but if he makes you happy that all I care about but please let us know if he ever makes you cry I won't forgive him." Dolce then spoke up, "Yes and when he does I'll make sure to send Pico after him. Sure he may be amused but Leon will soon learn that he won't be able to get away with a lot of things. Not as long we are around." "Even though I sleep most of the time I do pay attention and he would not be allow in the caste if that ever happen" Clorica said. Then lastly Xiao Pai turn, "I can easily tell mama and make sure his bath are not enjoyable so you better tell us if that ever happens Frey all of us will take care of it." Frey then stop hugging Amber and brought all the girls in a hug, her smile never left her face. These girls were her friends, no like she said sisters in arms. Always willing to look out for one another, "I promise I will but I doubt Leon will make me cry. He's too much of gentleman to do that. Besides he does care about me."

Even though she's wasn't good at relationships Forte knew that somethings wasn't right. Sure the two have been dating for 10 days now but, "You two haven't gone on date yet right." Frey shook her head and before any of them could say it's his fault it really wasn't. "No it's my fault actually I've gotten so busy that the only thing I can do is talk with him that's it." "No excuses Frey the man is going to get bored with you and then go after someone else if you don't take him on a date. Even though the man should really ask but that's besides the point" Forte then pushed her back toward the castle. The other girls didn't stop Forte for they also agreed with her. Once inside her room Forte looked at her, "I did that because I care about you Frey. Why don't you ask him on a date today. The two of you finally can spend some true quality time together and I'm pretty sure he would love to see you in your swimsuit" Forte laughed, "Also don't worry about the rest of us we can spend some more together at a sleepover at Meg's place again which shouldn't be that far off." Then her knight friend left and all Frey could do was change from her swim suit and back into her regular outfit.

She place her swim suit in her bag then walked over to the inn, Lin Fa just giving Frey a knowing smile. It was like the women knew why she was here and the blush that crept up on her face only got worse. Finally arrive at his room the nerves she now held was beginning to plague her mind. She just stood there taking deep breath trying to calm herself down. Why the hell was this so difficult it's just Leon. No she knew why she was nervous, Frey has never experienced love before until Leon showed up and this would be the first time she ever go on a date with a guy. Maybe he was feeling nervous to after all they were dating and for all Frey knew she was the only girl who he has ever confessed to. She may not know his past but and would love to know at some point but right now she didn't care. Frey was about to grab the handle of the door until she saw it turned and there he stood in all of his dragon priest glory. "How long are you just going to stand there I can hear your breathing" Leon pointed to his ears. "If you knew I was here then why didn't you open the door" Frey asked? "Because I could tell by your breathing that something was bothering you I wanted you to make the decision of whether you should enter or not. Then my patience was slowly started to break and now made the decision for you."

Frey would forever be grateful to Leon after today because she finally gain confidence in herself to finally ask and was not willing to take no for an answer. After standing there for awhile she looked at him, "Grab your swim trunks darling because we are going on a date today." Leon just smirked, "Who knew that you were so direct love but that what I find one thing interesting about you." He then looked at her and grabbed a small bag. "I was actually going to ask you later today but you beat me to it. Come let's go get change and I'll meet you at the lake I promise." After he accepted Frey rushes to the women bath area and began to change into her swim suit again. She decided to let her hair down from her pig tails. Frey hope he would like this and then slowly walk out of the bath. Thankful Leon was not here to get some sneak peaks so she made her way toward the lake again. By the time she got there it was just her, no one was here at the moment and then once again her nerves began to take over. She blushed heavily, it was just going to be the two of them. No this was perfect the two could finally grow a bit closer in their relationship.

Then Leon finally arrived in his swim trunks his eyes looking at Frey. He felt his cheeks turned a little red at what he was staring at it. Her smooth skin glistening in the sun, her eyes sparkling with want. He never realized just how beautiful she truly was until just now. Then his eyes wonder to her chest, why did he bother even to look there this was definitely not very gentlemanly of him. As much he want to turn his eyes away Leon was also a guy and he had desires just like anyone else. Of course he would not act on them no matter how much he wanted to Frey was so pure and innocent and he didn't want to ruin that. Her chest was definitely a nice size, it wasn't as big as his thought and he imagined that if he wrapped his hand around her breast his entire hand would be able to cover it. Leon finally got out of his thoughts and walked over to her. "Love I'm here." Frey turned around and smiled, even though he was always shirtless she could finally see his muscles. Frey blushed some this was definitely an amazing look for him. She could felt her heart race some and felt more blood rushing to her cheeks. "Well now that we are here what do we do." Leon just smirked, he grabbed her hand and walked into the water with her. His blue and white hair sticking to his dark skin. Frey blinked and before she knew it only their heads were above the water. "There."

The couple began to play fight in the water splashing each other and both of them laughing. This was definitely a good first date and Leon was excited for more dates to come in the future. "Love I don't think you ever told me when your birthday was." "Oh yeah sorry it's on Day 29 of the winter season and now that I told you, what about you darling." Leon smiled, "Summer 9th so I expect a birthday present soon." Frey couldn't believe what she heard, his birthday was in 8 more days. "Okay well I'll makesure your birthday this time around is filled with excitement considering it be the first one you celebrated after waking up." Leon smiles, "I look forward to it." As the night began to crept up on them the two finally left the water not realizing that some of the townsfolk what their little display of affection for each other. Most of them thought it was cute.

"I had a lot of fun today and I hope we can do this again soon" Frey said softly. "I agree it was quite enjoyable and can't wait to do it again." Though before they left, Frey thought to herself. Now was her perfect chance to strengthen their relationship but what could she start with. She then smiled and got really close to Leon feeling his body heat. Leon noticed just how close she really was and it made him smirk, "Whats this? Are you so keen on feeling the warmth of my body?" Frey just looked at him, she smiled brightly, "You bet I am!" The response caught him of guard and his eyes were wide open. "Hey what wrong? Leon?" Slowly using his real name instead of the pet one. "Well...*he was blushing slightly* I must admit, I'm at a loss. I wasn't anticipating such a reaction from you." To hear that response it made him overjoyed but none the less it made him smiled. "Shall I walk you" Frey blushed some, "You would do that." "Of course it's the man job to walk their lady home because if I didn't then what kind of gentleman am I." So Leon walked her home standing in her room and loved being here. The room was just like her very interesting and hope it would never change. He could also smell a sweet honey aroma. This must be a scent that she uses when bathing, it made her smell nice.

"Thank you for walking me home it was nice." Frey took him away from his thought. "It was no problem and like I said at the lake I hope we can do this again sometime I'm very much looking forward to him." Leon then let go of her hand and then left, looking at his love once last time before leaving. He could feel his tail wag at what happen to him and it made him a little excited, curse his part animal half behavior. Once Leon change into his night ware and laid down on the bed, he wish he would have kiss those delectable lips. Her eyes were definitely inviting him to do it but Leon of course didn't because they weren't ready to take that step just yet and besides he wanted Frey to be comfortable with him. He wanted her to take that step not him. As Leon finally passed into the land of dreams all he knew that the wait would be worth every second.
