Chapter 6
Summer 19
The time on the clock read 6:00 and Frey was already up. She didn't bother going to go check on her crops so left a note for Vishnal and Clorica to know what fields and monsters barns needed to be taken care of us while she was gone. Frey made that she had enough food, her magic spells, as well as her sword and gear. Today was the day that she was going to rescue Venti and as much as she wanted to do this on her own Frey knew that most everyone who lived here would come with her. Which was why she was going to ask Leon but the fox man beat her to it. At the point her and Leon have done so much together than she didn't want to fight by herself, sure she was strong but what if something happen to her then what. Frey was not going to take that risk and she also made sure she had certain medicine in case of poison, paralysis, or heck if she can use her skills at all. Once everything was ready she finally walk out of her door and there stood Leon. The man smiled at her, "You ready." "Of course I'm ready and I'm really glad your coming with me." Leon smiles, "Don't worry nothing will harm you not as long as I'm around."
That itself made Frey smile then the two walked toward the airship and Frey piloted it all the way ho Leon Karnak. Once they disembarked she looked at the tower, "You sure you want to back in here." Leon looked at her and nods, "I'm positive and I think it's best if we reach the top and defeat the monster where you find me." Before Frey could go any further Leon grabbed her hand, "Frey listen to me promise me that if we run into danger and we can't succeed then you use your escape spell." Frey nods, "I promise Leon just don't go dying on me." Leon laughed, "That's my line" so the two entered the tower and because the two knew how to work so well together that beating all the monsters and mini bosses were super easy. At this point they finally made the main boss and Leon just started at the monster. "So that what I looked like after I got linked to the monster. I don't feel regret on killing him but I am grateful to it because I would have never seen Venti again and let alone met the most amusing and amazing women in the world" Leon looked at Frey and nods. The two began to fight the monster but as time passed and half down its health is when is attacks focus more on Leon than Frey. At first he couldn't understand why it was going toward him but then it finally hit the monster recognize who he was. The monster knew that Leon was the human it was link to and just wanted a peaceful live like him.
So the monster threw a huge attack at him and Leon couldn't block in time cause him to go flying back toward one of the walls hitting it really hard. First it was his back then it was his head causing him to lose consciousness. All he could remember before finally blacking out was Frey trying to running to saying something that he could not hear then returning to the fight. After awhile once Leon came too, he head and back hurt him like crazy and noticed he was at the clinic. Nancy the doctors wife smiled at him, "Your finally awake Leon everyone has been really worried." He looked at her, "What happened I can't remember a lot of the details." She looked him, "Well I think is best if you heard this from Jones not me." Jones he was the doctor of this town and the moment his name was said the doctor was down the stairs. "Nancy I heard my name what's the problem" then saw that Leon was awake. A look of relief was on his face and he smiled, "It's good to see your finally awake Leon how are you feeling." "I could be better but I'm okay" Jones smiles, "Good but now your probably wondering what happen well to begin you have been asleep for awhile now Leon. It's already Autumn 2nd." Leon blinked, he was unconscious for that long. "After you and Frey left to the tower around 15:00 hour is when Frey walk in here with you on her back. She was completely panic and worried, tears were all over her face and she broke down in one of the chairs as I fix you up. Thankful you're a strong fighter or we could have lost you." Leon sighed, "Where is Frey now?" She is currently in the forest of beginning she has told me that she is almost done and has been fighting by herself all the way. She's been going there fighting since you been out." Leon stood up, "And she's still there fighting!" "Well right now yes but she has used escape to come back and visit you, get more food, medicine, and rest to replenish her strength." Well that was good news at least, that Frey was taking care of herself. Leon looked at her, "I know she said something to me before I passed out did Frey tell you what she told me." Jones nodded, "Yes she did. She said please tell me my darling that everything will be alright you can leave everything to me." Leon laid back down on the bed, that women putting herself into danger like that everyday but he sighed, he knew she was more than capable of holding herself she was not a damsel.
Though it still made Leon worry it made him finally think what if she didn't come back, what if...no he believe in Frey just like everyone did. He knew his love could rescue Venti so there was no time for worrying, all he had to do was believe in the women he loves. "Thank you and I know she'll be victorious because I know my love is never willing to back down from a fight. She's also the strongest and most bravest women I have ever meet" Leon smile at that. The door to the clinic open and Frey walk in, the women then saw that Leon was okay and tears slowly began to fall and she ran and hugged him. "I thought I lost you." Leon looked at him, she could feel her hands shaking, she was really that afraid of losing him. As much as he wanted to tease her he would not do right now, Leon hugged her back and took in her scent. "Come now you should know that I'm very stubborn and you can't get rid of me that easily." Frey looked at him and just laughed, "Well at least your back to your old self anyway I got news to tell you. I did it I actually rescued Venti she's in her chambers right now." Leon looked at her, "Really?" Frey nods, "Yes I did tell where you were right and wishes you a healthy recovery" Leon smiles, "Thank you Frey because of you we got our friend back I have no words to express my gratitude." Frey just smiled, "I know you don't have to say it I can clearly see it on your face." Though the toll of fighting all those battles finally hit and she fell unconscious in his arms. He watch her and look at Jones, "Can she sleep with me?" He smiled, "I don't see anything" he pretended he didn't see what happen.
-2 days later-
Not only did Leon recover quickly but Frey was well rested. The moment she found out that she slept in the same bed as him made her blush very heavily. "What's wrong love did you not enjoy my company?" Frey just looked at him, "No I did Im just surprised that you were okay with this I mean..." Leon stopped her by kissing her lips, "Don't say anything else. I want to enjoy your company your warmth." Leon said. Frey smiled and just cuddle against, Leon knew that he shouldn't do this but now it was becoming really hard not to do anything. His true feelings were slowly coming out, he knew that much and now he couldn't stop. He now knew that the wheels of fate where turning and now it was only a matter of time before a big event happen that would change their relationship forever.
