It became a competition quickly, as all things tended to become with Class 1-A.

"Alright," Ashido threw a fist into her opposite palm in determination, "here's how it'll work. We'll go around the circle. Anyone who doesn't speak their truth or complete the dare is out!"

"What's in it for the winner?" Kaminari yelled out in a voice that said 'I'm totally prompting you right now, Ashido'.

"I'm glad you asked!" Ashido pointed proudly to Kaminari. "The winner gets the snack table!"

All eyes settled on the picnic table nearby, a little difficult to see between the setting sun and the shade obscuring said sunlight. The bonfire's light didn't reach quite far enough, and from here Midoriya could only see faint outlines of the various bags and boxes. A few hoots and hollers erupted from the excited class, and a few others protested, claiming that the snacks were for communal use.

"It is up to the winner to decide what happens to the snacks!" Ashido wagged her finger at some of the protesters. "Maybe they'll be kind and share. With some people."

Midoriya nudged at Todoroki's side, grinning. "This is exciting, isn't it?" he beamed.

"Sure," Todoroki shrugged. "I'm not much of a snacks person, though."

"You're not much of a 'anything other than cold soba' person, Shouto," Midoriya huffed, puffing out his lip in a beautiful pout that Todoroki (dreadfully) found himself wanting to kiss directly off Midoriya's dumb, adorable face.

Todoroki had a reply prepared but it was forgotten the second Ashido clapped her hands together, returning the attention of the class to herself once more. "I'll start, since I suggested it," she placed her hands to her hips boldly. "We'll do a coin toss to see if we go to my left or my right."

"Go left," Jirou grumbled from Ashido's right.

"Well? Kaminari?" Ashido looked to the blond in question, who sat in a slouching folding chair to Ashido's left.

"Sure, I guess?" Kaminari shrugged.

"That settles it! Let the 'Truth or Dare' competition…begin!"

Ashido had always been something of an inspiration to Midoriya, he thought idly, in her confidence. The way she threw her hands to her hips and demanded the attention of her classmates suited a true leader. Midoriya knew, perhaps better than any of the others, how strong Ashido's Quirk could really be if she put more effort into sparring outside of class; but then, a small, selfish part of him feared that development when he would have to inevitably face her in class training. He watched her intently as she struck another confident pose, pointing a stern finger directly at Aoyama, who had taken an entire bench to himself by lying on his back to stare up at the net of tree branches above.

"Aoyama!" she spoke with the lilt of an oncoming rush of laughter. "Truth or dare?"

"Why me first?!" Aoyama cried dramatically, striking a pose of his own – his left hand flew up to his forehead, his right clutching his chest. Midoriya supposed that the two would deny it until they died, but their personalities were quite similar.

"Because you annoyed me on the bus earlier!" Ashido let that laugh escape her, now, and Jirou and Yaoyorozu joined in.

"You were pretty spectacularly irritating with your loud-as-fuck music," Jirou said pointedly. "And it wasn't even good music. You have no taste."

"No taste!" Aoyama cried just as dramatically, sitting up finally to look between Ashido and Jirou at some invisible camera stationed behind them in the trees. "I will show you 'no taste'! I choose dare!"

"Throw your fur coat in the fire," Ashido replied, voice innocent but dripping with malice. An evil smirk crossed her face, and Midoriya thought to himself that if he saw her on the street making that face, he might actually mistake her for a villain.

There were a few noises of surprise from around Aoyama. Meanwhile, the boy in question appeared frozen in place, breath even halting – at least, from what Midoriya could tell. Finally Aoyama put his hands up in surrender. "This coat cost me half my life savings," he spoke the way a woman on a soap opera might, complete with dramatic inflection and erratic hand movements. He could have well been telling Ashido that his husband cheated on him with the maid, especially with the added touch of the hand going back to his forehead.

"Oh, Yaoyorozu can make you another," Ashido sneered. "Don't be a baby."

Aoyama's gaze shifted to Yaoyorozu. "Would you make me another?" he asked softly, his eyes alight with a strong display of hope.

Yaoyorozu shrugged. "It wouldn't be too hard," she said, "but it probably wouldn't be as soft as—"

"I shall keep my coat and you shall keep your silly snacks!" Aoyama decided, waving his finger triumphantly – as if he hadn't resigned on the very first round. He turned proudly, then, letting his coat sway as he walked back to the cabin he shared with Mineta, Sero, and Ojiro. The group watched the event, and Midoriya couldn't be sure if it had been Ashido or Ochaco next to him to start the laughing, but the laughter caught like the fire in front of them and Class 1-A practically rolled in the hilarity of the drama that had ensued.

"Kaminari!" Ashido pointed boldly.

"Right!" Kaminari sat up a little straighter. He resembled a soldier responding to their general. "Tsuyu, truth or dare?"

"Truth, ribbit," Tsuyu replied from where she perched herself on the edge of Jirou and Yaoyorozu's bench.

"What's your most embarrassing childhood secret?"

A few people 'ooh'ed (Midoriya included; he didn't know how he'd respond to such a question) while Tsuyu tapped her chin in ridiculously deep thought. It took altogether thirty full seconds of silence for her to come up with something. "I wet the bed until I was thirteen, ribbit," she announced finally.

A shriek of laughter erupted from Hagakure, who sat beside Tsuyu. A few others laughed, but with their chests still hurting after Aoyama's display, it didn't receive much attention.

Tokoyami spoke next to Kaminari. "Sero," he called over the bonfire between them, "truth or dare?"

"Truth for me," Sero replied.

"Have you ever thought about a bondage fantasy with your tape?"

The question alone was enough to startle at least half the class; Tokoyami offered a shrug as an answer. "Dark Shadow came up with it," he replied simply.

"Oh sure, plenty of times," Sero waved his hand. A few of the girls muttered a 'gross' or an 'ew, pervert'. "My favorite bondage fantasy is duct taping Kaminari's mouth shut when he fries his brain."

The protests the girls had uttered seconds before were replaced with shrill laughter, accompanied by most of the rest of the class – aside from Kaminari, who had his mouth hung open in disbelief, and Mineta, who huffed something about having signed up for an actual fantasy, not a stupid joke.

Next in the order was Kirishima, who sat on a bench with one of his legs casually thrown over Bakugou's lap next to him. "Mineta, truth or dare?"

"Truth," the boy replied feebly, after emitting a strangely high-pitched noise at the prospect of having to participate in order to win.

"If you had to suck anyone's dick in the class—" next to him, Tokoyami snorted—"whose would you choose?"

"Gross gross gross!" Mineta whined, looking frantically between the boys of Class 1-A. Finally he squeezed his eyes shut, stood up, and spun around, deciding he would simply point at a random student. However, as a result he nearly ended up in the fire, with Sero's quick thinking to pull him back from the flame. (A few of the girls muttered something about letting him go, but not loudly enough for Mineta to hear it over his own shrill screaming at suddenly being encased in tape.)

"S-Sero?!" he stuttered, finally peeling his eyes open.

"Wow Mineta, I'm flattered," the boy said with a cheeky grin.

"That's—no, that isn't what I meant!" Mineta cried, but the others around the fire had already gotten sick of the shrill voice of their classmate and decided to move on.

"Half and half, truth or dare?" Bakugou snarled in a threatening way, complete with sparks in his palm.

"Dare," Todoroki replied almost instantaneously, as if he'd been expecting Bakugou to choose him.

Bakugou smirked. "Jump in the lake. Naked."

The proposition flustered Midoriya more than Todoroki, honestly. His ears turned bright red at the mere thought of seeing Todoroki naked, and before he knew it, Todoroki had risen from his spot on the bench and was following Bakugou down the path towards the water obstacle course. He also, whether or not he'd done it on purpose, had grabbed Midoriya's wrist and was pulling the boy along with them.

A few others came to watch – Iida, Kaminari, and Kirishima – whether out of curiosity if he'd go through with it or curiosity about what Todoroki looked like naked, Midoriya couldn't discern. He wondered what his reasoning for being so curious was; while half his brain told him that he so painfully obviously wanted to see his best friend naked, the other half reasoned that he just wanted to make sure Todoroki didn't drown.

"Are your pubes half and half like your hair?" Kirishima asked as Todoroki peeled off his hoodie, then his sweatshirt, delicately placing the articles of clothing in Midoriya's arms. Midoriya flushed, trying not to let his eyes wander too much – but it was for naught, because Todoroki's abs practically called his name.

"Dumbass," Bakugou barked at Kirishima.

"They are," Todoroki said with a shrug. Three pairs of mortified eyes settled on Todoroki, Midoriya's not excluded; in fact, Iida had been looking at his phone and laughing at something, which was the only reason he hadn't responded. As for Bakugou, he wore his usual angry expression, and the confirmation just made more sparks shoot up from his palm.

Todoroki took his joggers off, passing them to Midoriya, and the smaller boy made a small, high-pitched noise at the sight of Todoroki in just his boxers. "A little privacy?" Todoroki asked finally, and they all turned around while Todoroki fidgeted with his clothing and, eventually, dropped a pair of boxer briefs into Midoriya's arms. The boy made another noise, a much more gurgled one, and Todoroki could tell even in the darkness that the tips of his ears were red.

He turned and ran along the dock, yelling nothing in particular as he jumped into the water. The group of them turned around once they heard the splash, Kirishima and Kaminari hooting and yelling and laughing. Midoriya tried to laugh, too, but it sounded strangled and distant. He felt like his brain had been fried similarly to the way Kaminari's might, what with his inability to form coherent thoughts beyond my best friend and secret crush is naked and I'm holding his clothes.

"You're lucky he left the clothes with you," Bakugou sneered, "otherwise we'd pull a Parent Trap and steal 'em and run."

Midoriya shot him a glare, but it wasn't particularly biting; partly because Midoriya was about as intimidating as a baby snail, partly because his mind wouldn't fully recover until Todoroki put some damn clothes on.

"Can I come out now?" Todoroki called out.

"Sure, fine, you did it," Bakugou waved dismissively. He and the others turned to head back to the fire, while Midoriya stood loyally, holding onto Todoroki's clothing. Todoroki watched them retreat, a bit thankful that only Midoriya would see him naked when he came out of the water.

Oh. Midoriya would see him naked.

Oh.

"Do you want me to turn around?" Midoriya squeaked as Todoroki swam to the shore, going only so far that his lower half remained submerged.

Part of Todoroki didn't want him to, but a much more self-conscious part replied, "Yeah, if you don't mind."

Midoriya obliged, turning his back to the other and outstretching the stack of clothes in his right hand for Todoroki to grab without him having to look. He heard Todoroki wade to the shore, finally stepping out of the water, then the sound of water steaming off him. God, what Midoriya would do to just turn around, just see him – but he couldn't betray the trust Todoroki put in him, not for anything.

Todoroki reached around him, grabbing for his boxers. "Thanks for holding these, Izuku," he murmured, voice low and soft in Midoriya's ear. It startled Midoriya enough to drop the rest of the stack of clothing on the ground.

"S-sorry!" Midoriya bubbled, reaching down to pick the clothing up. He desperately tried to shake out the little bit of dirt that clung to the fabric, all while Todoroki tried to insist that it was alright, they were camping, his clothing was expected to get dirty anyways.

Finally he knelt down, stilling Midoriya's hands in his own. "Izuku," he said sternly. "It is okay."

Of course he noticed the way Midoriya eyed his nearly naked body. How could he not? He watched the way Midoriya's expression transitioned from worry and apprehension to something completely different; had Todoroki any sort of common sense in his brain, he'd probably have recognized the way Midoriya chewed his bottom lip with a dark, sultry look of want clouding his vision.

But the look vanished as soon as it had appeared, and it was replaced with a blush that travelled up to Midoriya's ears.

Todoroki threw his clothes on quickly after that, and they walked in silence back to the bonfire. Koda had waited for the two of them to return before continuing the game, to both of their surprise; other than a snarky complaint from Bakugou, the class didn't seem too bothered by their tardiness.

Koda's voice was quiet as he prompted Iida to a truth or a dare, and when Iida responded with truth, he wondered if Koda really understood the game. "What's your favorite color?" Koda asked sweetly, and while the ordeal really was adorable, Bakugou still flared his fist and griped about how lame of a question it was.

"Pink," Iida replied solemnly, nudging Ochaco's shoulder ever so gently.

"That's so sweet," Midoriya whispered to himself. Well, mostly to himself; Todoroki heard him, and he thought about his own favorite color, and he found himself wondering idly when his favorite color had become green.

Sato went next. "Ashido," he dared address the uncrowned queen of the event, "truth or dare?"

"Dare! Obviously," Ashido grinned cheekily.

"Call your crush," Sato said nonchalantly.

"Whoa," Ashido held her hands up. "I'm a free spirit! I don't have a crush on—"

"Or I could just tell everyone for you?"

"Jesus, Sato is scary," Midoriya whispered to Todoroki.

Ashido immediately whipped out her phone, hesitantly dialing a number into the phone. The class went quiet, and Ashido put the phone on speaker so the class could hear it. Just as the call began to ring, another cell phone erupted with sound to Tsuyu's side, inside a pant pocket that seemed unoccupied.

The phone floated out of the pocket, then the high-pitched voice of Hagakure let out a soft squeak. "M-me?"

"Alright! Now that that's out of the way!" Ashido quickly hung up the phone call. "Todoroki, your turn!"

Todoroki looked surprised, despite the pattern they'd been following the entire time. "I didn't give it much thought," he admitted.

"Moron, that's just like you," Bakugou barked.

"Yaoyorozu, truth or dare?" Todoroki decided finally.

"Truth," she grinned.

"Have you and Jirou ever had sex in the commons?"

The question made both the girls, who had been happily relaxing against each other, sputter and separate nearly immediately. Midoriya had to admit, he was curious to know, too; their lack of care for PDA had gotten on his nerves. Not because he thought they were gross – they were welcome to whatever they wanted to do – but he found himself more and more jealous that he didn't have anyone to act so frivolously with.

"I gotta know this one!" Mineta said, practically drooling. Sero casually threw a piece of tape over his mouth.

"Does oral count?" Yaoyorozu asked finally, voice barely a whisper as the group of them erupted into a fit of laughter and noises of disapproval (though most of the disapproval came from Iida).

"Midoriya, you're up!" Ashido said after the group had settled a bit, thankful that the attention had been drawn away from her.

"Kaminari, truth or dare?"

"Dare," Kaminari grinned, his face falling into a determined smirk.

"Use your Quirk to charge my cell phone?" he waved his phone innocently, eliciting a laugh from a few of his classmates.

"You didn't have to dare me to—"

"While doing a sexy dance with it!" Midoriya added, and those who hadn't laughed at first erupted into laughter then, watching several small sparks lick Kaminari's cheeks as an embarrassed flush coated his face.

"You'll pay for this, Midoriya," Kaminari grumbled, taking the cell phone and gyrating his hips at it in the most seductive way he could muster. (Which was not very seductive to anyone, really.) Jirou pulled the guitar from earlier that evening into her lap and began strumming a schmaltzy love song while Kaminari danced, which had the class practically rolling with laughter by then. Midoriya waved his hand after about a minute and a half, saying that that was enough.

"Yeah, don't want him nutting on your phone," Kirishima added, and louder howls of laughter erupted from the bonfire.

"My turn, my turn!" Ochaco waved her hand. "Hagakure, truth or dare?"

"Truth!" the invisible girl chirped back.

"Are you into Ashido?"

"I-I," she stuttered, and while none of the class could see it they guessed she was currently looking back and forth between them, trying to decide what to say.

"Oh that's fucking mean, Ocha," Ashido grumbled, her cheeks erupting into the blush the class couldn't see on Hagakure's face.

"Well? Don't you want to know?" Ochaco pressed. "I certainly do."

Midoriya had let out a breath of relief when Ochaco didn't choose him. Had he been asked that question about Todoroki, he might have imploded – or worse, eliminated himself.

"Yes!" Hagakure finally squeaked out, and everyone looked to the ball of sweatpants and a sweatshirt – Hagakure had drawn her knees to her chest. That shocked everyone (Ashido most of all), and a silence fell over the class.

Then, Iida cleared his throat. "O-kay," he said, "Um. Sato, truth or dare?"

"Dare," Sato replied hesitantly, still wrapping his head around the mutual confession that had happened a few moments ago. This game was dangerous.

"Shave one of your legs!" Iida proclaimed, standing and pointing his finger in the air as if he'd just declared war. A few of the girls laughed, as well as Midoriya and Sero.

Sato grumbled something unintelligible, but it sounded oddly like "I quit", and wandered off towards his cabin.

"Nice job, Iida!" Kirishima called across the circle.

"I thought it was a pretty simple dare," Iida replied with a shrug. "I wasn't trying to get him out."

Sero cleared his throat to Iida's left. "Koda," he called out, "truth or dare?"

"Dare," Koda replied.

"Dare you to send a couple bats into the teachers' cabin," Sero wore a smirk that said 'I didn't expect you to choose dare, but god am I glad you did'.

Koda flushed. "I-I…that's mean," he whimpered, looking down at his hands.

"You could just…give up," Sero taunted.

Koda steeled himself. "No," he replied sternly. He closed his eyes and pressed his hands together, whispering in some sort of language that most certainly didn't sound like Japanese; then, diving through the trees came four bats. Two perched themselves on each of Koda's shoulders and he gave each of them a delicate scratch on the chin, before sending them off towards the teachers' cabin.

"His Quirk is so powerful," Midoriya whispered to Todoroki, who gave a single nod of affirmation as he watched the exchange between Koda and the bats.

It didn't take long for Aizawa to come out of the cabin with four bats held tightly in the grasp of his bonds. He yelled something that the class didn't hear, considering how loudly they were laughing at the exchange; but they were silenced when Aizawa let go of the bats and walked dangerously slowly down the path towards the bonfire.

Midoriya quivered behind Todoroki's arm, while the other prepared to throw an ice wall between themselves and Aizawa's wrath. To everyone's surprise, though, Aizawa stopped at the edge of the fire without wrapping his bonds around any of the students. He sighed heavily. "I don't care what you do out here," he droned, "but it stays between yourselves. Got it?"

"Yes sir!" Koda squeaked, and the others nodded their heads quickly in agreement.

Aizawa turned at that and left once more, disappearing back into the teachers' cabin.

Mineta next to Sero, who had had an unfortunate accident in his pants at the sight of Aizawa's threatening presence, dismissed himself from the game for the evening in order to clean himself up.

Ojiro had since moved to occupy the bench Aoyama had vacated in the very beginning of the game. He looked around the bonfire, finally letting a smirk cross his face as his eyes settled on Ochaco. "Uraraka," he called, "truth or dare?"

"Ah, dare!" Ochaco replied, splaying the same smirk over her own face.

"Dare you to kiss the most attractive girl here," he grinned evilly.

"Can I object?" Iida asked, his eyebrows furrowing with his frown.

"Not before I do," Ochaco replied, cheeks flushed. "That's cruel! You know Iida and I are in a relationship!"

"You and Iida are in a relationship?" Kaminari asked dumbly.

"I had no idea," Ojiro replied mock-innocently. "How would I have known?"

"You—you saw us! That one time!" Ochaco's cheeks flushed darker, lips falling into a tight frown. "This isn't fair!"

"The dare still stands," Ojiro sang. "Will you do it?"

Ochaco and Iida exchanged looks, having some sort of unspoken conversation – and from Midoriya's perspective, it appeared that Ochaco was winning. Finally, with a curt nod, Ochaco rose from the bench and walked around the bonfire to the row of girls in Class 1-A. "This means nothing, because I'm with Iida," she announced to the group. Then, before Tsuyu had time to register what was happening, Ochaco had leaned down to kiss her.

It didn't last long enough to mean anything, Todoroki thought idly, and it was nothing compared to the kiss he'd accidentally witnessed himself between Ochaco and Iida. Tsuyu looked dazed and confused even as Ochaco had sat down and Shouji sitting to Ojiro's left began to decide who he would ask.

"Ojiro," he said finally, turning in his lawn chair to face him, "truth or dare?"

"Dare," the other replied.

"How about you kiss the most attractive girl in the class?"

A few noises of excitement erupted from the crowd, as well as a few 'ooh's with the tone of 'you probably shouldn't have come between Ochaco and Iida like that'. Midoriya had to cover his mouth to avoid laughing out loud at the situation. Though, he did catch the wink that Shouji sent Ochaco's way.

"Yeah, I'm out," Ojiro decided finally, rubbing the back of his neck with a laugh. "Karma's a bitch. 'Night, everyone."

Everyone whooped and cheered for Shouji, who had simply placed his hands back in his lap and adjusted his chair so it once more faced the fire in front of them.

Hagakure let out a soft squeak of laughter beside him, saying something along the lines of Shouji being a feminist, before she began contemplating her own target. "Bakugou!" she decided finally. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare," Bakugou snarled back. "I'm no pussy."

"Call your mom and tell her how Kirishima sucked your—"

"Alright, fuck off," Bakugou rose to his feet, knocking Kirishima's leg away in the process. He had sparks in his hands as he retreated back to his cabin, and while normally he'd expect Kirishima to follow in an instance like this, Kirishima remained planted to his seat. The snack table called his name.

Hagakure rocked in her chair, a laugh bubbling out of her. She sounded purely menacing, Midoriya thought, and was suddenly glad that Hagakure had no dirt on him – otherwise, it was likely he'd have given up under that amount of pressure, as well.

"Midoriya," Tsuyu called, "truth or dare?"

"Truth!" Midoriya squeaked quickly, having decided that maybe that was better than being dared to call his mother, or something.

"Have you ever had a wet dream about anyone in the class?"

Midoriya exhaled. Despite his strong attraction to the boy next to him, he'd – luckily – never suffered from wet dreams, though lately he hadn't been dreaming at all due to the pain in his arm. "No!" he said with a proud smile. Tsuyu shrugged, and they continued.

Yaoyorozu wore a smirk that said she was ready to get Todoroki back for his invasive question earlier in the evening. "Todoroki, truth or dare?"

"Truth," Todoroki replied calmly.

"Have you ever had any wet dreams about anyone in the class?"

Now, that was a mean question. Any teenage boy (aside from the angelic Midoriya) experienced wet dreams. And most of the time, those dreams didn't even feature someone from the class – if they did, it was more of a ghost than anything in the sense that Todoroki only had the fainted idea that they were who they said they were. He'd had a dream about Kaminari, once – but the thing was, it wasn't Kaminari in front of him. It was some plain boy with unmemorable features who claimed to be his electric-type classmate.

"I mean, I guess," was his final response.

A few 'ooh's came from the girls. "Who?" Hagakure pressed.

"I already answered my piece," he replied simply.

With little protest, they moved onto Jirou. "Shouji, truth or dare?"

"Truth," Shouji replied from behind his mask.

"Is it hard to jack off like that?"

A few people stifled giggles at the absurd question, but most eyes fell on Shouji, like they'd all been curious and now was the perfect time to know. Shouji shook his head, partially from disgust and partially embarrassment. "Yeah," he admitted finally, staring down at his lap, and the class erupted into a roar of laughter.

And then they were back at the beginning.

Ashido scanned the crowd, perhaps (definitely) looking for the most vulnerable member, and with a smirk her eyes landed on poor Koda. "Koda," she began sweetly, "truth or dare?"

"Truth," Koda replied in his timid voice.

"If you had to only talk to one animal for the rest of your life, what animal would it be?"

The question visibly distressed the poor boy, and Midoriya wanted with all his heart to tell him he didn't have to answer if he didn't want to, but then again, it was a competition and he most certainly wanted those snacks. Still, though, Koda grew more and more distressed as everyone in the circle watched him try to choose but one animal to talk to for the rest of his life.

"It's just a game," Kirishima said to his right. "It's okay if you don't answer."

"Don't listen to him!" Midoriya replied back in a passionate voice, startling the others. "I mean—it's a competition, right? Don't you want the snacks?"

Todoroki glanced down at Midoriya during his outburst, a faint smile gracing his lips. Despite the circumstances being much less intense than the sports festival a year prior, the speech felt oddly similar to the one Midoriya gave him during their battle.

"Birds!" Koda decided finally, tears budding at his eyes.

"What kind of birds?" Ashido urged.

"I quit!" Koda cried in response, those tears sliding down his cheeks as he got up and headed towards the cabin Sato left for earlier in the evening. Ashido smirked evilly as she watched him go.

"That was cold," Kirishima called to Ashido, and she waved off the disapproval with a laugh.

"You were trying to get him to give up, too," she replied.

Kaminari cleared his throat. "Sero, truth or dare?"

"Dare," Sero replied.

"Dare you to duct tape Mineta's cabin door shut!"

The speed with which Sero leapt to his feet and ran towards Mineta's cabin was immeasurable. He duct taped every window shut, and as Mineta, Aoyama, and Ojiro screamed from the inside, trying to escape, Sero thickly coated the front door. He huffed for air by the time he returned to the bonfire, an eerie smile on his face. He met the class's frightened looks with a shrug. "I got stuck in that cabin," he explained.

As if that explained anything.

"Midoriya," Tokoyami called, "truth or dare?"

"Dare!" Midoriya called back, a bit less frightened of what Tokoyami might say. Then, remembering that Dark Shadow existed, he immediately regretted his decision.

The smirk on Tokoyami's face told him he should probably run.

"Sit in Todoroki's lap until it's your turn."

Midoriya's face erupted into a mess of a blush, red and embarrassed. He sputtered nervously, looking between Tokoyami and Todoroki, who wore a faint blush himself.

"For the snacks," Todoroki said, moving his hands from his lap to leave room for Midoriya.

"For the snacks," Midoriya echoed.

Neither of them were doing it for the snacks.

Midoriya carefully positioned himself in Todoroki's lap, and the latter's arms loosely wrapped around his waist. Midoriya thought he might die of embarrassment as he wiggled to get comfortable, trying his best not to put too much of his weight in one place – he didn't want to make Todoroki uncomfortable.

"Quit wiggling," Todoroki hissed in his ear, sending dangerous shivers down Midoriya's spine.

The girls of Class 1-A exchanged looks, wondering who was responsible for revealing their plan to Tokoyami. The boy, however, relaxed back into his seat with a content smirk. Maybe he'd just observed their interactions and come to the conclusion on his own.

It became hard for Midoriya to focus on much of anything aside from the feeling of Todoroki's chest on his back, or the way he fit so snugly in Todoroki's arms, or the way Todoroki's chin rested on his shoulder so he could still see and participate in the game. By then Kirishima had gotten Tsuyu out by daring her to lick every student's feet – mostly because the class around her decided unanimously that, if she went through with it, she most certainly had a foot fetish. She retreated to the girls' cabin for the evening, claiming that she wanted to go play Frogger on her phone anyways.

"Izuku," Todoroki murmured to the boy on top of him. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare," Midoriya mumbled back, hoping that his friend would dare him to sit somewhere else.

Todoroki hesitated for a second, and Midoriya could feel his left side getting warmer against him. "Turn around," he said finally, voice barely audible.

Midoriya's blush traveled up to his ears and down his neck as he carefully maneuvered himself so one leg fell on either side of his friend. Todoroki had, effectively, dared Midoriya to straddle him, and neither of them could hear their classmates' squealing (coming mostly from the girls but Kaminari and Iida had also joined in) over the sound of their own hearts beating in their ears. "Midoriya, it's your turn," Ashido reminded.

"Shouto," Midoriya swallowed thickly. Their faces were so close together that Midoriya could see the steam rising from Todoroki's left, as well as little specks of ice budding from his right. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare," Todoroki murmured, tentatively placing a hand over Midoriya's hip.

"Kiss me."

Neither of them had expected those words to leave Midoriya's mouth, but neither of them cared; the second they were uttered Todoroki surged forward, capturing Midoriya's lips in his own. Midoriya sighed into his mouth, melting into the touch he'd been craving for so long, letting his fingers knot into Todoroki's hair. He could hear his classmates now, hooting and hollering at them; he could hear Kirishima teasing them to get a room; he could hear Ochaco and Iida deliberating about spending the night in a separate cabin to give them some much-needed privacy. A year's worth of feelings evaporated between them with a single kiss. Never had Todoroki appreciated the taste of anything more; the remnants of the sweet marshmallow on Midoriya's lips made him wonder if he could learn to love the taste of s'mores.

"Jesus Christ," Bakugou's voice interrupted, followed by an explosion. Judging by the shorts and tank top he wore, he'd been asleep moments ago; now, he stood angrily behind Kirishima, sparks budding in his hands. The sound of Bakugou was enough to startle Midoriya away from Todoroki's lips and off his lap, a sheepish blush reaching probably halfway down his chest by now. "You fuckin' brickheads were yelling so loud you woke me up," he scowled.

"Apologies, Prince Bakugou," Ashido sneered. Bakugou held his fist up threateningly towards her; she didn't flinch. "Something important happened."

"I'd hardly call high school romance important," Mr. Aizawa droned from behind Bakugou. The latter jumped with a fear none of the class had seen before, and they'd probably have erupted into laughter if it weren't for their own fear of Mr. Aizawa. "Be quiet. People are trying to sleep," he added before turning and heading back towards the teachers' cabin.

Bakugou left again shortly thereafter, grumbling something about 'fuckin' nerds' and 'half and half bastards'.

Ochaco cleared her throat, finally, and looked up at Iida next to her. "Tenya," she grinned, "truth or dare?"

"Dare," he replied, an innocent smile on his face.

"Kiss me like that," Ochaco nodded her head towards Midoriya and Todoroki, who were both putting in effort to pat out a few spare flames that had sprouted from Todoroki during their escapade.

Iida didn't need to be told twice; he leaned in and captured Ochaco's lips in a kiss that was much more skilled and deep and lustful than Midoriya and Todoroki's had been, but neither of them paid them much attention. Instead, Midoriya busied himself by idly untangling a knot he'd discovered in Todoroki's hair. The others around the fire made quiet noises of surprise and embarrassment, careful to not wake Bakugou or Aizawa in the process.

The rest of their game of truth or dare went by in a blur for Midoriya and Todoroki. Shouji got Sero out by asking him to play 'Fuck, Marry, Kill' with his cabinmates. Yaoyorozu got Kirishima out by daring him to call a random pizza place and treat the phone call like a phone sex line. Ashido got Ochaco out by daring her to describe the last time she and Iida had sex to the group ("Come on," Ashido had insisted, "you sent us all the detail in the group text!", to which Ochaco responded by rising from her place on the bench and excusing herself for the rest of ever, in her exact words). Tokoyami got Shouji out by daring him to sneak a peek in the girls' cabin using his Quirk. Todoroki, perhaps accidentally, got Hagakure out by asking her when she discovered her feelings for Ashido; the former replied by saying that the matter should be forgotten and she never wanted to speak of it again. Iida got Jirou out by asking her to serenade the most handsome boy in Class 1-A ("None of you fuckheads are handsome, and plus I'm tired," she'd said). Ashido managed to knock Yaoyorozu out of the competition by daring her to make a fourteen-inch dildo.

By then, there were only six of them left. Midoriya had learned some very private information about the group that he didn't need to know – such as Ashido once got off to a photo of a skinny Fatgum, and that Tokoyami had an emergency flashlight under his bed for when he got horny at night (something about Dark Shadow getting really angry when he was horny). Eventually Iida got taken about by Ashido after she asked him if he'd ever had a wet dream about any of the boys in the class – his response had been "I may swing both ways, but that information should be kept to myself as I am very loyal to my girlfriend." After such a proclamation he'd happily marched himself back to his cabin.

And then there were five.

Ashido had been avoiding Midoriya and Todoroki, but now they looked like the easiest targets of the group. The second she locked eyes with Midoriya, the boy knew he was in trouble. He swallowed thickly and prepared himself. "Midoriya," she said sweetly, "truth or dare?"

"Truth," he whispered.

"Describe your ideal sexual fantasy—" Midoriya was already sputtering—"with Todoroki."

"That's mean," Kaminari laughed sinisterly next to Ashido.

"U-um! What do you mean?" Midoriya asked innocently, attempting to gain more time to think; despite having kissed Todoroki just a moment ago, he didn't feel quite ready to spill his guts about the numerous sexual fantasies he'd had about his friend. So what if Todoroki returned his feelings?

Did Todoroki return his feelings?

The kiss had been nothing short of amazing, but Midoriya knew well enough that Todoroki's competitive drive would make him do anything. Had he just kissed Midoriya for the snack table? But Todoroki had said he didn't like snacks…

"Izuku," Todoroki nudged him, "you're mumbling."

"Agh!" Midoriya, on accident, activated his Quirk in his legs and leapt up into the air. Ashido stifled a laugh behind her palm. "S-sorry!"

"Just give up, Midoriya," Tokoyami said with a smirk. "The snack table will end up being mine, anyways."

Midoriya took a deep breath, closing his eyes. His cheeks turned bright pink, his hands balled into fists at either of his sides. His competitive nature took over and he opened his eyes once more, not looking over at Todoroki.

That same competitive nature receded the second he opened his mouth, replaced instead with Midoriya's crippling fear of losing his only friend after a silly game of truth or dare. "I quit," he said with a sigh. "'Night, everyone."

He rose to his feet, and while Tokoyami and Ashido had taunted him, they wore surprised looks on their faces as if they'd expected some half-assed generalized fantasy in order to keep himself in the game.

"I'm out too," Todoroki said just as Midoriya started down the path to their cabin.

"Hah!" Ashido laughed victoriously. "I got two people in one round!"

Midoriya turned, hearing Todoroki announce his defeat. He slowed his feet until Todoroki caught up with him, linking their pinkies with only a split second of hesitation. "Hey," he breathed, as if the short jog had winded him.

"Hey," Midoriya replied quietly. "Why'd you do that?"

"I wasn't in it for the snacks," Todoroki shrugged.

When they got back to the cabin, Ochaco and Iida sat on one of the beds playing some card game that only required two people. "Oh, hey!" she waved to them, grinning cheekily. "How'd the rest of the game go?"

"We're out," Todoroki replied.

"Disappointing," Iida said, but he wore a faint smile. "Hope you didn't get out on something stupid."

Midoriya flushed.

He noticed, then, that Iida and Ochaco had done some rearranging in the cabin. They'd taken it upon themselves to move the dressers, pressing the twin beds along both walls together to form two large beds rather than four small ones. "The beds," Midoriya squeaked.

"Huh? Oh," Ochaco waved her hand dismissively. "It was really easy to move them. Floaty Quirk, after all," she made her cards float and waved her hands as if performing some magic trick.

"Thanks," Todoroki said before Midoriya could launch into a speech about why they shouldn't move furniture in someone else's cabin.

"Do you want to join us?" Iida asked, gesturing to the cards. "We were playing War, but we've got a deck of Uno cards, too."

"Sure!" Midoriya chirped. "That sounds fun, doesn't it, Shouto?"

"Yeah," Todoroki let that small smile of his poke through, and for once he didn't immediately reach to cover it. "It does."
