A/N – This is the track I had so much trouble with because I'm not really sure what the song is about. Also once I got an idea, I knew I had to use Gwen (Tosh or Owen didn't have the personality to do what I wanted to do) From the first episode I was never a fan of Gwen (hate that she's the only one that got anything resembling a happy ending), so it's kind of hard to write for her in a non-bashing way. Anyhoo, Gwen rant over and here we go.
7. Ca, Cest l'Amour
The door to Jack's office flew open, rattling the glass panes set within it. Ianto Jones came striding out heading towards the cog door. Before he reached it, Jack appeared in the doorway, obviously furious.
"Ianto, don't you walk out that door!" He bellowed across the hub. "We're not finished."
The younger man paused and turned; fury evident on his face. "I think we are, Sir!" He practically spat the last word before turning and walking out the door.
Jack stood and stared after him as if expecting Ianto to reappear at any moment. Eventually he seemed to realize he had an audience. He looked around and saw Gwen, Tosh and Owen all gaping at him in shock.
"Enjoy the show?" He sneered before stomping back into his office and slamming the door.

Sometime later there was a soft knock on the office door. Without waiting for a response, the door opened slowly. Jack knew who it was, only one of his team would butt in at a time like this.
"What was that all about, Jack?" Gwen asked, stepping into the office.
Jack didn't even look up. "None of your business, Gwen."
She sat herself down in one of the chairs facing the desk. "With that performance earlier, you made it everyone's business." She countered.
Jack didn't respond, and they sat in silence for far longer than was necessary.
Finally, Jack spoke. "You're not giving up on this are you?" he growled.
"I've got a terrible stubborn streak, so I've been told." She shrugged. "So… no."
Jack sighed but didn't say anything. Gwen's stubborn streak is what started all of this.
"What happened, Jack?" Gwen pushed. "It takes a hell of a lot to get Ianto that angry."
Jack continued to stay silent. Willing her to just get up and leave him alone. Of course, she wouldn't. She wouldn't stop until she got the answers she wanted.
"Is this about Ianto giving me the GPS?" She asked quietly, noticing Jack tense. "It is, isn't it?"
"He betrayed me." Jack growled.
Gwen gasped. "He what?! Come on, Jack. He disobeyed you, sure. After all you've built together, Ianto wouldn't deliberately hurt you. He loves you too much."
Jack glared at her, slamming his hand on the desk. "This has nothing to do with love. He disobeyed a direct order!"
Gwen stood up and leaned over the desk. "You know what, Jack? I think it does. I think it has everything to do with love. An employee disobeying an order wouldn't make you act like this, Owen does it all the time." She said gesturing towards the door. "But… the idea of… "She paused again, searching for the right word "a partner… and equal… someone you care for a lot… possibly betraying a trust? That's different. Isn't it Jack?"
Jack stood up, mirroring Gwen's stance and meeting her gaze. The anger in his eyes was tempered with something else… hurt?
"That's it isn't it?" She said. "You think he deliberately tried to hurt you." She pushed off from the desk and stepped back. "You idiot! Ianto told me about Flat Holm, so you didn't have to carry the burden on your own. He saw what you were like every time you came back. He wanted to help you, so you didn't have to manage it on your own." She threw her arms up. "God, Jack you are so damn full of yourself that you don't even realize when someone you love is trying to help you."
She turned and walked towards the door, then stopped. "I said that none of you have partners and that you're all cold and lonely. I'm sorry and I admit now that I was wrong. Maybe you should too." She started to walk through the door but turned around once more. "Because you know what, Jack? That's love."
When she finally left the office, she was happy to notice out of the corner of her eye, Jack picking up his mobile.

A/N – whoa, I managed to write a Gwen-ish story. Was she okay? Of course, I had to fix that crap at the end of 'Meat.'
