Now that the whole ordeal with Paul's family is finally out of the way, I can go back to doing fluff pieces...which was the original purpose of this fanfic before I got carried away. Hehe...

In any case, this is an idea that I have had brewing for a long while now (about two years to be exact). It's an interesting idea that I'm happy that I'm finally getting to it!

Hope you guys enjoy!

Dawn shivered as she rode on the back of Paul's bike. "Is it me or is it getting colder?" asked Dawn.

"It's probably just you," answered Paul. "I don't feel cold."

"Of course not, you're wearing a jacket!"

It had been a week since Paul and Dawn had left Eterna City. Since then, they had been biking down Route 211 and were now making their way up Mt. Coronet. Dawn rode on the back of the bike, while Paul was the one pedaling. Dawn shivered as the wind suddenly passed by them. "Yep, it's definitely getting colder," she said.

"Come to think of it, we are getting pretty high up towards Mount Coronet," explained Paul. "We should be coming up to a small town soon. There's a place where you can get a jacket and some pants. You're going to need them if we're going to go to Snowpoint City."

"Alright! Shopping spree!" cheered Dawn.

Eventually, Dawn could see some buildings in the distance. "Is that it, right there?" she asked, pointing to it.

"Yep," replied Paul. "That's Browncliff City. There's a Pokémon Center there, so we can rest up for the night."

Paul turned and made his way down the dirt road heading towards Browncliff City, named for its location alongside the rocky peaks of Mount Coronet. With a Pokémon Center and a large shopping district, Browncliff City is a popular place for trainers and coordinators to rest before making their way through Mount Coronet.

The two of them rolled into town, passing underneath the wooden arc that graced the main entrance of Browncliff City. Dawn wasted little time dragging Paul to the city's shopping district.

At the shopping center, lots of people crowded into the many different stores. Dawn was in awe as she passed every store, gawking at the many different window displays. "Oh! Look at that dress!" said Dawn. "It looks soooo adorable!"

Paul stood close by as Dawn continued window-shopping. "Hey! You know you're looking for winter clothes, right?" Paul asked, somewhat annoyed.

"It doesn't hurt to look at the dresses too," replied Dawn. "As a coordinator, I must always look my best!"

"You can look all you want, but I'm only buying you a jacket and some pants."

Dawn looked at Paul, confused. "Wait, you're going to buy me a jacket?" she asked.

"Well, who else is going to?" Paul replied. "Unless you want to freeze to death in the snow."

"No, I mean...I didn't know you were going to be paying," Dawn said. "I just assumed that I was going to."

"J-Just think of it as a gift," Paul said, his face blushing. "From me to you."

Dawn didn't know what to say. Part of her still had a hard time accepting the idea of somebody like Paul buying her clothes. "Oh Paul, that's so sweet," she said.

"Yeah well, just make it quick," he replied.

Dawn looked around and spotted a store selling winter clothes. "You know," she said. "If we're going to the snow, then I'm going to need a scarf too."

"You're already wearing one," Paul said, referring to Dawn's pink scarf.

"I was thinking of something a little bit more thicker. It is going to be cold, right?"

"Fine, I'll buy you a jacket, some pants, and a scarf."

"Come to think of it," added Dawn, "some new boots would be nice too."

"Okay, now you're pushing it," said Paul. Dawn laughed playfully.

Dawn spent the rest of the afternoon dragging Paul inside several different stores, trying on different combinations of jackets and scarves, much to his annoyance. While Dawn would try on clothes, Paul stood off to the side, bored out of his mind.

At one store, Paul was sitting down in front of the dressing room while Dawn was trying on another ensemble of clothes. Paul's patience was running a little thing. "Come on Dawn," moaned Paul. "Will you hurry up already?!"

"Just give me a minute!" snapped Dawn.

Paul leaned back and lied down on the bench he was sitting. He stared up at the ceiling. "It's only winter clothes," Paul said. "It's not that big of a deal. You're not going to be wearing them in a contest, right?"

"I just want to look my best," replied Dawn.

"I already told you, you always look good in anything."

Suddenly, he could hear the curtains being pulled back. "What do you think?" asked Dawn.

"You look beautiful," Paul quickly replied.

Paul yelped as Dawn kicked him in the shins. "You're not even looking!" she said.

Paul let out a sigh as he sat upright again. He took a good look at Dawn, now dressed in a maroon jacket with a puffy, white scarf. Dawn did a quick twirl, showing off her new clothes. "So?" she asked.

"It looks great," Paul said, quickly. "Now bag it up and let's go."

"Oh! You're always so impatient!" pouted Dawn.

As they walked out of the store, Dawn swung her bag around happily. "You know I could get used to you being my boyfriend!" said Dawn.

"You mean you weren't already?" Paul asked.

"Well, are you used to having me as a girlfriend?" Dawn replied back. "It was only a few months ago that you called me annoying."

"Yeah," Paul said, reminiscing about how he and Dawn used to act towards each other. "Funny how much things change in only a few months."

"And yet we haven't gone on too many dates yet," Dawn said.

"Yeah we did," replied Paul. "What about when we went to the festival in Eterna City?"

"That was the only one. And then we came home and found your mother knocked out."

"Don't remind me. Look Dawn, I promise you and I will do something together."

Paul and Dawn continued walking around the shopping center when Dawn saw a long line of people and their Pokémon crossing the main hub of the mall. "Whoa, I wonder what's going on there?" asked Dawn.

"There sure are a lot of people waiting in line for something," said Paul. Paul then noticed some of the bigger and stronger Pokémon also waiting in line. "I wonder if it's for some kind of battle club or something?"

"It always comes back to battling, doesn't it?" sighed Dawn. "Kinda reminds me of someone else I know."

"Come on, let's go ask someone."

Paul and Dawn then walked closer to the line. Before they had the chance to ask, a Machoke that was waiting in line suddenly stomped its foot and threatened to attack. "Whoa!" gasped Dawn.

"Hey! What's you problem?!" snapped Paul.

"Back off, buddy!" said Machoke's trainer, a young man with slicked-back brown hair. "No cutting!"

"We don't even know what the line is for," said Paul.

"Hey, what's going on?" shouted a voice.

Paul, Dawn, and the man looked and saw a security guard heading towards them. "Is there a problem here?" he asked, sternly.

"These guys are trying to cut us!" accused the man.

"No we weren't!" Dawn answered, hastily. "We just wanted to know what everyone was in line for."

"Oh," the guard said, calmly. "This line is for the Pokémon Sit-down Movie Theater right there!"

She pointed towards a large building that towered over every other building in the mall. "Wow! That's a...pretty big theater!" Dawn said, astonishingly.

"Oh yeah, it's big!" said a woman waiting in line. "It's so big, I'm told that every shop in the mall can fit inside the theater and there would still be room left."

"Seriously?" Paul asked, confused. "I know movie theaters are big, but that seems excessive."

"That's because this is the only movie theater that allows Pokémon as well as their trainers. It has to be big to accommodate any and all Pokémon. I heard even a Wailord can be inside and it would be like a pebble floating in the ocean."

"A movie theater built with Pokémon in mind?" Dawn asked.

"That's interesting," added Paul, "You know, you actually don't see that too often. Most of the movie theaters I've ever been to don't allow Pokémon."

"So, what movie are they playing today?" asked Dawn.

"Well, for today, they're doing another one of those special two-for-one deals," explained another man, waiting in line. "They're showing two movies back-to-back. First it's Secret Admirer, then the second one is The Fastest of the Fast."

The line then began moving forwards. "Come on Paul," said Dawn. "We should check it out," said Dawn.

"Really? You want to go see a movie now?" Paul asked, confused.

"Yeah, why not?!" clarified Dawn. "It'd be a fun date! You promised we do more stuff together, right?"

"Yeah, I did," Paul said, remembering what he had said to Dawn only a few moments ago.

"And didn't you tell your Pokémon that you wanted to be a better trainer to them and to do more fun stuff with them?"

"Yeah, I remember saying something like that," said Paul.

"Well, here you go! Killing two birds with one stone, right?"

But Paul was still hesitant. "I don't know," Paul said, nervously.

"What's the matter?" Dawn asked. Then, a thought came to her head. "Oh! Are you worried that our Pokémon will misbehave like they did last time?" Dawn asked, worriedly.

"No, nothing like that," replied Paul.

Paul then thought back to the last time his Pokémon and Dawn's Pokémon interacted with each other. They ended up fighting so much, Torterra had to break them up and scold them. "Actually, now that I think about, that is something to worry about," admitted Paul. "But beyond that, it's just...I wasn't planning on staying in town for more than a day. I really do want to get to Snowpoint City."

"Seriously Paul?" asked Dawn, impatiently. "Whether we leave tomorrow or next week, the gym will still be there! For now, let's just devote a whole day to us. To me and to your Pokémon."

Paul then thought about it for a moment. He reached into his pockets and took out all six of his Poké Balls. He looked them over carefully, wondering if it would be worth the trouble to try and watch a movie with them. "Well?" Dawn asked.

"Hold on," he replied. "Let me ask them."

Paul then released all of his Pokémon at once. They all looked around and saw all of the shops and people. It was a sight that was unfamiliar to them, as Paul usually never brings them out to a crowded place like a shopping mall.

Dawn then took out her Poké Balls. "Let me send out my Pokémon too," she said. She then released her Pokémon as well, alongside Paul's Pokémon. They too were also curious as to where they were. But the moment that Prinplup saw Paul's Pokémon, she went immediately on the defensive. Dawn's other Pokémon joined in as they readied themselves for a battle. Paul's Pokémon glared at them angrily as they prepared themselves as well. "Whoa, wait a second guys!" pleaded Dawn.

But the two Pokémon refused to listen. It wasn't until a glowing, green Torterra stepped in between them that they immediately straightened up and faced forward. They all remembered what happened last time Torterra was that angry.

Paul rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "This is already starting out bad," he groaned.

"Let's just give them a chance," murmured Dawn.

"Alright guys, listen up!" Paul shouted. "Dawn and I have decided that we're going to the movies!"

"And it's a special theater that allows Pokémon to come inside, so every one of you gets to come and watch too!"

Dawn's Pokémon smiled when they heard that they were going to watch a movie. Paul's Pokémon, however, were puzzled. Paul figured that they didn't know what a movie theater was, so he stepped forward to explain. "I guess you guys don't know what a movie theater is," he said. "Basically, it's a big place where everyone goes to sit down and watch a movie on a really big screen. There's also a place for people and Pokémon to buy snacks so they have something to eat during the movie and everybody has a lot of fun."

Torterra made a few grunting noises. "Yes Torterra, I did go to a few of these with Reggie and my mom," answered Paul.

Torterra made some more grunt noises, asking another question. This one made Paul blush a bit. "Y-Y-Yes, it's also a popular thing for c-couples to do too," he said.

Paul felt uncomfortable when his Pokémon looked at him with suspicious grins. "What's with those creepy smiles?!" Paul asked, angrily. "Okay fine, this is a date too! But since they allow Pokémon here, I thought I'd invite you guys in too, like a reward for...I don't know, getting me this far on my journey."

His Pokémon looked at one another and murmured to each other. "But listen, if you guys want to see the movie, then you all need to be on your best behavior and follow the rules!" warned Paul. "That means no talking, no loud noises, no noisy eating...and no fighting with Dawn's Pokémon."

Drapion then jokingly poked Magmortar and Ursaring, knowing that those two were usually the ones who started the fights. "That goes for you too, Drapion," scolded Paul. "That goes for all of you!"

Magmortar pointed to Dawn's Pokémon and frantically said his name over and over. "It doesn't matter if they start it or not," Paul said, sternly, "this isn't just for you guys. This is also supposed to be a fun day for me and Dawn too. Just for today, try to get along with them. Okay?"

Magmortar and Ursaring were about to protest some more, but then Torterra stepped in front of them and stared them both down with a menacing glare. The moment he began to glow green, both of Paul's Pokémon reluctantly agreed. "Thanks Torterra," said Paul. Torterra nodded his head.

Meanwhile, Dawn was talking to her Pokémon at the same time that Paul was talking to his. "Look I know Paul's Pokémon can be...difficult to deal with," she said, "but can you guys just put that aside? At least for one day?"

Prinplup, Pachirisu, and Buneary started to argue with their trainer, pointing at Paul's Pokémon and protesting their inclusion. "I know, guys! I know!" said Dawn. "Paul's Pokémon can be kinda mean and nasty, but look! Paul is talking to them right now and he's telling them that they need to behave too."

Dawn's Pokémon weren't too sure, however. "And besides, I'm sure Torterra wouldn't mind keeping the peace between the two of you, right?" asked Dawn.

The three Pokémon then shivered. They too remembered how intimidating Paul's Torterra was when they were making their way to Eterna City. "So, are we going to be good?" Dawn asked. Her Pokémon reluctantly agreed.

Both teams of Pokémon were brought over to one another. "Alright then, so...we can all agree to be nice to each other, at least for today?" asked Dawn. The Pokémon all nodded their heads in agreement, except for Magmortar and Prinplup. The two were pouting and had their arms crossed. They refused to look each other in the eye. "Magmortar," Paul said, sternly.

Magmortar only made a low, groaning noise, refusing his trainer's orders. Torterra got behind him and lightly nudged him. Magmortar glared at Torterra, who only glared at him back. Magmortar begrudgingly offered his hand to Prinplup. Prinplup eyed his hand carefully. He then looked up at Magmortar's face, whose brows were furrowed and his eyes narrow. "Come on, Prinplup," pleaded Dawn.

Prinplup took one last look at Magmortar's hand before finally taking it and shaking it in agreement. "Okay!" Dawn said, excitedly. "Now that that's settled, let's go to the movies!"

So Dawn, Paul, and all their Pokémon got in line and awaited their chance to buy tickets for tonight's double feature. Their Pokémon were talking amongst themselves, but they kept to their own teams. "Well, they're okay so far," murmured Paul.

"Oh, will you relax?" Dawn asked. "There's no need to worry."

Dawn then wrapped her arms around Paul's. "This is going to be great!" she said, happily. "Our first movie date! Just me and you!"
"Yeah...and our Pokémon too."

"It's like one big family outing!"

"I guess that's one way to look at it."

The line then moved up as several people were let into the theater. "Hey Paul."

"Yeah?"

"I just realized something. I don't know what your favorite kind of movies are."

"Well that's because...we never really talked about movies."

"You're right. We never do talk about what kind of movies you like. With you, it's always "battling" this and "gym leader" that."

There was a long pause between them. "Sooo...what kind of movies do you like?" asked Dawn.

"I don't know, good movies I guess," Paul replied.

"Okay. And...what exactly is a 'good movie' to you?"

"Movies that aren't terrible?"

Dawn let out a frustrated sigh. "You know, you're not making things easy," she said.

"Well, I'm sorry, but to tell you the truth, I don't actually watch movies all that much."

"Of course you don't."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I figured that someone like you, who obsesses over becoming stronger in Pokémon battles, wouldn't go out of his way to watch a movie."

"I'm that predictable, huh?" sighed Paul.

"What about your mom and Reggie?" continued Dawn. "Didn't your mom take you to the movies when you were little?"

"Sometimes," answered Paul. "Mom never had a lot of money to take us to a theater, so most of the time, we watched movies when they came on T.V. Mom would sit me and Reggie down and we would watch as a family."

"Wow. That's actually kinda heartwarming that your mom would do that. What kind of movies did you guys watch?"

"Like I said, it was whatever was on T.V. that night. Usually it was older movies, like The Man and His Skuntank."

"I don't think I ever watched that one before."

"It's actually a really good movie! It's an old black-and-white movie about a man and his Skuntank trying to clear their names after they were framed for a crime they didn't commit. It's got action, mystery, drama…"

"Sounds interesting. Maybe I'll check it out."

"You should. It's definitely one of my favorite movies!"

"Really? That's one of your favorite movies?" Dawn asked, surprised. She certainly wasn't expecting those kinds of movies to be Paul's favorite. Of course, she couldn't think of any kind of movie to be Paul's favorite.

"So what about you?" asked Paul. "What movies do you like?"

"Me?" Dawn asked, caught off-guard. She then began to think about all the different movies that her mom would take her to see when she was a kid. "I don't know," she answered. "I guess I like movies that entertain me."

"Okay, and what kind of movies would those be?" Paul asked.

"Movies that are good," answered Dawn.

"Okay, now you're just making fun of me."

Both Dawn and Paul then laughed. They were cut off when Prinplup ran up behind them and shoved them forward. "Hey!" shouted Paul.

"Prinplup, what are you doing?" Dawn asked.

Prinplup pointed her flipper at Ursaring, who only put his hands up, denying Prinplup's accusation. "Come on guys," groaned Dawn.

Soon, they arrived at the ticket booth. Fortunately, there were still tickets left, enough for two trainers and eleven total Pokémon. They then made their way into the main lobby.

The lobby was very tall and wide. Many Pokémon trainers and their Pokémon stood around, talking to one another.

In the middle of the lobby was the concessions stand, where the smell of butter popcorn and churros was the strongest. Not only were there portion sizes for trainers, but also some for Pokémon as well. How they manage it, no one really understood.

On both sides of the concessions stand were two long hallways leading to two different theaters each. Dawn turned to the Pokémon. "Alright, who wants some snacks?" Dawn asked.

All of her Pokémon jumped up excitedly. Paul's Pokémon, however, weren't too sure. "You guys don't want anything?" Paul asked. "They got all sorts of snacks for you to eat during the movie. There's popcorn, churros, candies, ice cream…"

As Paul listed off the different food items, his Pokémon were beginning to understand and started salivating at it all. Before Paul could even finish, they pushed past him and ran towards the line. "Hey wait! Slow down!" scolded Paul.

Everyone waited in line and grabbed whatever they could get their hands on. While the Pokémon carried tons of different junk food (more so Paul's Pokémon than Dawn's), Dawn carried with her a large bucket of cheese popcorn and a soda while Paul had only a box of chocolate candy. "I still can't believe you got cheese popcorn," Paul said.

"Why not?" Dawn asked. "Cheese popcorn is good! Try it!"

"No way! Cheese in popcorn sounds disgusting."

"It's just cheese powder," explained Dawn.

"Doesn't matter," said Paul. "It still sounds terrible. You probably did that just so I wouldn't take any."

Everyone then made their way inside the main theater itself. Unlike traditional movie theaters, the Pokémon Movie Theater didn't have seats of any kind. It was simply one large room with an entirely flat floor. This was to accommodate the Pokémon itself. To make up for it, each space had an assortment of different pillows for the trainers and small Pokémon to sit on. There were many different screens hanging from the ceiling, that way everybody would be able to see the movie without somebody blocking their way.

"Where are we sitting?" Dawn asked. Paul then pulled out the tickets. "It says here that we are in block H13."

Upon hearing that, the Pokémon quickly made a mad dash for the square section marked as H13, which was a space closest to the back of the theater. Soon, a tussle broke out between the Pokémon as they each tried to find a spot. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! That's enough!" Dawn shouted, angrily.

The Pokémon immediately stopped fighting. "Alright look, it's really simple!" said Paul. "My Pokémon sit behind Dawn's. After all, you guys are way taller than they are! No arguments! Let's go!"

So Paul's Pokémon quietly sat themselves in the back row of the space while Dawns Pokémon situated themselves in front of them, much to their chagrin. Paul and Dawn then took their spots in the center, in between the two teams of Pokémon. Dawn looked up towards the nearest screen hanging from the ceiling. She was dismayed to see that she really had to crank her neck up to look. "Guess we should have gotten here earlier," she murmured.

Just then, Torterra lied down directly behind Paul and Dawn, offering his shell as a makeshift pillow for Dawn to rest her head against. "Hey, thanks Torterra!" Dawn said, happily.

Paul and Dawn rested their heads against Torterra's shell. But they couldn't relax for long, as the sound of loud crunching and wrappers disturbed their peace. They both looked and saw Paul's Pokémon loudly eating their snacks by the handful. Dawn was a little worried to see some of the other trainers look their way. "Hey!" snapped Paul. "What did I tell you guys about loud noises?!"

His Pokémon then stopped eating. They began again, this time moving more slowly and eating only a few pieces at a time.

Once everybody was in their seats and situated comfortably, the theater lights dimmed. "Hello and welcome to the Pokémon Movie Theater!" said a voice. "At this time, we ask that you take this time to silence all electronic devices, including cell phones, computers, and Pokétch. Please refrain from using these devices during the movie as the bright lights may disturb those around you. We also ask that you ensure that your Pokémon are well-behaved and that they refrain from flying, growling, roaring, crying, fighting, and snoring."

Just then, Paul and Dawn heard a vibrating, buzzing noise in their ears, coming from Mothim, who was sucking on a Honey Pop. "And no buzzing," said the voice. Mothim suddenly stopped flapping its wings. "Thank you! Enjoy our feature presentation."

Everyone applauded as all the lights went out and the movie began to play.

The screen showed a young boy, dressed in his uniform, walking down a dirt path on his way to school. Suddenly, a voice began narrating. "My name is William. I'm 16-years-old and I live in a small town near Mount Chimney."

The boy, William, then arrived at his school. The moment he stepped through the gate, two young girls tried to approach him and give him chocolates. To their dismay, William merely walked past them without even glancing at them or their gifts. "It's Valentine's Day today, my least favorite holiday."

As William walked down the halls of his school, he saw girls giving the boys all sorts of different gifts. He only sighed as he watched their overly sweet displays of affection. "Every year I get presents from all of the girls in my school. Some even confess their love for me. Like I would ever date these vapid bimbos…"

Magmortar and Drapion rolled their eyes at William, not impressed by his attitude towards the girls in his school.

"There's only one girl for me," said William, "and I was stupid enough to let her go."

Paul's Pokémon could already tell where the movie was headed, and they didn't like it at all. Torterra tried his best to reassure them to do it for Paul and Dawn.

"Then, everything changed when I first started high school...and I found that one letter in my locker." William then opened his locker and saw a pink envelope with a heart seal. William recognized it as a love letter. But what made this one different from the hundreds he received from the girls in his class was the name that was written on it, a name he was very familiar with. "Trisha?" he read.

Paul and Dawn were relaxed, sitting up against Torterra's shell. "You don't think that's the same girl, is it?" whispered Dawn.

"It probably is," Paul said back. "But how did he not see her at all while he was in school?"

"Ooh! Talk about suspense!"

"Suspense?! Are you kidding me?!" thought Paul.

While Dawn and her Pokémon were enjoying the movie, Paul shared his Pokémon's sentiment and found himself having a difficult time getting into the movie. He never liked romance movies to begin with. He remembered his mother forcing him and Reggie to watch some as kids, hating how cheesy and gushy the movies were. He had hoped that this one would be different, and was disappointed to see that it wasn't the case.

Nevertheless, he tried to push through it, for Dawn's sake.

As the movie went on, Paul's Pokémon grew even more bored. They prayed for the movie to just end or for the projectors to go out. Meanwhile, Dawn's Pokémon, who were mostly girls, found themselves invested in William's pursuit to find the girl sending him the love letters.

Ursaring then noticed that Dawn's Buneary was sitting close to him. She had a small drink in her hands. This gave him an idea. Ursaring took the straw from his cup and slid it carefully into Buneary's cup. She was so focused on the movie that she didn't notice.

A few minutes later, Buneary went to take a sip from her cup, only to suddenly poke herself in the eye with the straw. Magmortar, Ursaring, and Luxray all laughed as Buneary rubbed her aching eye.

Buneary quickly turned around and shouted angrily at them. "Hey! What's going on over there?!" Dawn asked, angrily. Buneary merely pointed at Ursaring and ranted. Ursaring only shrugged his shoulders. "Didn't I tell you guys to behave?!" Paul whispered, harshly.

The Pokémon calmed down, but Buneary was still angry at Ursaring. Gloom saw what happened. She was very displeased with how Ursaring treated her friend Buneary. It was then that she had an idea. Gloom slowly shuffled over to where Buneary was sitting. She made sure that her trainer and Paul weren't paying attention to her.

Gloom took a deep breath and swung her head side-to-side, shaking the flower on her head and releasing a few spores into the air, right underneath where Ursaring was sitting. Because the theater was dark, Ursaring couldn't see the spores that Gloom had released.

Ursaring was about to eat another Keenan of popcorn when he something felt his nose tickling. His eyes began to water as he suddenly felt his nose being stuffed up. He then let out an incredibly loud sneeze, sending popcorn flying everywhere. "Bless you," whispered Dawn.

Ursaring then let out another big sneeze. Then another one. And then another one. Paul's other Pokémon put their hands up to shield themselves from Ursaring's snot as he continued sneezing rapidly. "Ursaring, what's wrong with you?" Paul asked, worriedly.

Paul had no choice but to get up from his seat and escort Ursaring out. He didn't know what had happened. Buneary and Gloom only looked at each other before high-fiving one another. Though, they failed to notice Magmortar and Drapion giving them nasty looks.

Later on in the movie, William was running through a dark, dense forest, hoping to meet the girl who had been sending him the letters. He then stumbled on a lake. With a clear night sky, the stars and the full moon were reflected on the surface of the lake, giving everything a soothing glow.

Just then, William turned and saw...her, standing there along the edge of the lake.

Everyone in the theater watched as the movie was reaching its high point. Paul's Pokémon were all struggling to stay awake. They desperately wished for the movie to end.

With the starry sky providing the only illumination in the meadow, the two lovebirds stood apart from one another, both looking into each other's eyes as the wind tussled their hair and clothes around.

"Wow, look how pretty that looks," whispered Dawn.

"That actually is a really good shot," added Paul. "The way the stars reflect off the water...it looks great."

"So, you're the one who has been sending me those letters?" the boy asked. "You're Trisha, right?"

The girl, smiling happily with a tear in her eye, nodded her head. "Yes," she said. "I'm so glad they finally reached you, William!"

Paul's Pokémon then noticed the other couples in the theater getting close to one another. They then looked back at Paul and saw that he wasn't quite getting the hint from everybody else. So Luxray got a little closer to him and lightly nudged him towards Dawn. "Hey! What are you doing?" he asked, angrily.

Paul's Pokémon then motioned for him to get closer to Dawn. Paul got their meaning, but was embarrassed that his Pokémon were acting like matchmakers. Reluctantly, Paul raised his arms up, as if he were stretching out. Then he slowly placed his arms down around Dawn, pulling her closer. "Really, Paul?" asked Dawn. "You're pulling that old trick?"

Dawn laughed, but she went along with it, wrapping her arms around his. Paul could hear his Pokémon hooting and hollering, much to his embarrassment. Torterra quickly told them to shut up.

"This is it," Dawn sighed. She was completely invested in what was transpiring on-screen. "This is the part where they kiss."

Trisha stepped closer to William. "Ever since I met you all those years ago on the Magnet Train to Saffron City, I just knew I had to meet you again...even if it took me an eternity to do so!"

"And that's why you wrote those letters to me," said William.

"Oh god, this dialogue is so corny," Paul thought to himself. Unbeknownst to him, his Pokémon agreed.

William then reached into his pocket and took out a beat-up envelope. "I always loved when you sent me poems and pictures of the places you've been," he said. "But this was the one letter I loved the most."

He opened the envelope and took out the letter from within, turning it around to show Trisha. It only had three simple words written in red marker.

I. Love. You

Trisha's heart melted upon seeing that her most heartfelt letter was William's favorite. William then took out another envelope, this time a much cleaner, hardly bent envelope. He offered it to Trisha. "Here. I was going to mail it out tomorrow first thing in the morning, but since you're here, I can just give it to you."

Trisha took the letter from William's hand. Her emotions on full throttle and her heart racing, she opened the envelope and read the letter inside. It read:

I. Love. You. Too.

Trisha's face shot back up to William's. She beamed brightly as the two ran into each other's arms and shared a passionate kiss under the full moon.

Everyone cheered at the two of them finally sharing a kiss. The movie then cut to the end credits and the lifts turned on again for intermission.

"Did you guys enjoy the movie?" Dawn asked.

All of her Pokémon unanimously approved. Paul then turned to his Pokémon. "What about you guys?" he asked. His Pokémon only replied with tortured groans and cries. "Oh come on," Dawn said. "I know it was a romance movie, but it wasn't that bad."

Paul's Pokémon refused to agree with her. "Well, at least the second movie is an action movie," said Paul. "So I think you guys will like that one a lot more than this one."

Paul's Pokémon nodded their heads. "Hey, I'm gonna go to the restroom. Can you watch the Pokémon?" asked Dawn.

"Sure, no problem," agreed Paul.

Dawn then got up and headed towards the nearest restroom. Paul decided to talk to the Pokémon. "Alright, so far you all are doing okay behaving yourselves…"

Buneary, however, begged to differ. "Just keep it up for one more movie! Keep your hands to yourself. Keep your voices down."

Then he turned to his Pokémon. "And you guys!" he said. "I don't need your help with Dawn. I got that covered myself."

His Pokémon only raised their brow at him. "Don't you guys give me that look," said Paul. "Now do you guys want more snacks or not?" Paul's Pokémon immediately straightened up.

An explosion rocked the city of Castelia as the entrance to the city's underground tunnels exploded in a burst of fire and smoke. Suddenly, a group of four muscle cars emerged from the smoke and flew through the air at an erratic speed. Not too far behind were several police cars pursuing them. The sound of screeching tires and police sirens echoed through the air as the cars suddenly turned down an empty street.

After the intermission, everyone returned to their seats, just in time for the next movie to play, The Fastest of the Fast.

Unlike with Secret Admirer, this time all of Pokémon were invested in the movie. They watched with interest as the police cars on-screen chased some sports cars down a deserted street.

"This is the police! Pull over and surrender now!" The police then rammed into one of the fleeing vehicles, the one with a vibrant orange paint job with green racing stripes along the side and blue neon underneath the car itself. Inside the car was a feisty young man, with his Magmortar sitting in the passenger's seat. "Cobra! These cops are right on us!" he said.

"Don't let them psych you out, Rock!" said Cobra, who was driving a sleek, black car. "This is the biggest score of our life! We're not going to let a bunch of pigs stop us!"

"I think we can slow them down!" said the woman in the glittering pink car.

She then turned to her Cacturne. "Will you do the honors?" she asked. Cacturne nodded his head. He then stuck his head out the window and began firing a barrage of pin needles from his hands. The cops tried to swerve out of the way, but they weren't quick enough. Cacturne's needles managed to hit and shred their tires., stopping them dead in their tracks. "Good work, Nia!" Cobra said, over their radios. Nia gave her sharpshooting Pokémon a big thumbs-up.

The Pokémon applauded Cacturne. They thought it was cool that the movie was using Pokémon as actors, not like Secret Admirer, which barely had any Pokémon in it. Drapion was surprised to see a Pokémon use Pin Missile (a move he knows) to do something cool like pop out the tires of the police cars.

Suddenly, a cop car pulled up next to her and tried to sideswipe her car. "I don't so, pig!" she taunted, as she sideswiped the cop back. The impact sent him crashing headfirst into an oncoming bus, resulting a giant fireball exploding from the two cars. "Oh," muttered Nia, shocked to see such an explosion happen.

"Wow, there's definitely a lot of action in this movie," said Dawn.

"That's pretty much what the series is," replied Paul. "All action with basic story. But at least the effects are cool."

Paul then turned to their Pokémon. "The Pokémon at least seem to be enjoying it," he said. "As long as they're not fighting, we'll be fine."

"Guys, we got a few more coming!" warned Rock.

"Big deal. I can take care of them," said the spiky-haired man in the fourth car, a blue one with red neon underneath. The man, named Dino, turned to the Alakazam sitting in the passenger's seat. "Alright buddy," he said. "We need to make these cars fly!"

Alakazam shook his head. He then closed his eyes and focused. He harnessed all the psychic power in his mind.

Then, several of the police cars were launched into the air, most of them exploding in a ball of fire as they crashed into other cars or buildings. "Oh," said Dino. "Well, I-I meant our cars and not...theirs."

"You think those Pokémon were trained to do all this action-y stuff?"

"Well, I don't expect them to just take any Pokémon off the streets."

"Must be a lot of hard work for them to train Pokémon to act in movies without them getting hurt."

"Oh, I bet."

"We're almost at the rendezvous point. Stay together now."

Just then, a helicopter appeared in front of them. "Oh, this can't be good," moaned Nia. The four were caught off-guard when the helicopter fired a rocket in their direction! Luckily, they managed to swerve out of the way, but just barely. "Wait, that's not the cops!" said Rock. "That's the local militia!"

"The military?!" asked Dino. "Who brought those guys here?!"

"Gonna go out on a limb here and say the guy whose bank account we just robbed," Cobra said.

"No matter," said Rock.

The rebellious drivers and their Pokémon tried to outmaneuver the militia helicopter, but it managed to keep up with them everywhere we went. Rock then received a message over the radio. "We're in position, boss!"

Soon, they were coming up to a large tunnel. The traffic was beginning to build up and the helicopter was still on their tail. Two large semi trucks pulled in front of the four. "Alright, this is it!" Rock said. He turned to his Magmortar. "Work your magic, buddy!"

The other Pokémon gasped as they suddenly turned to Paul's Magmortar. He was very excited to see a Magmortar like him kicking some butt in the movie.

Rock rolled down the window, allowing Magmortar to stick its head out. He then stuck his hand out and unleashed a Lava Plume attack. Lava filled the streets and large fireballs shot up into the sky, narrowly hitting the helicopter and police cars.

The Pokémon cheered as the drivers and their Pokémon escaped. Nobody was more enthused then Paul's Magmortar. "Whoa! That was amazing!" Dawn said, happily.

"The best part?" asked Paul. "That's an actual move that Magmortar could learn."

Magmortar was ecstatic to hear that it was possible for him to learn Lava Plume, like in the movie. He then began punching the air, hoping to pull off the move. "Alright, settle down, Magmortar," said Paul.

But Magmortar continued punching the air, trying to see if he can do the move. Suddenly, he accidentally punched Mamoswine from behind. Mamoswine yelped. He quickly turned around and glared at Magmortar. Magmortar put his hands up and tried to apologize to Mamoswine, but Mamoswine was buying it.

Paul and Dawn saw what was about to happen and immediately jumped up to stop them. "Hold on, Mamoswine! Let's just calm down now!" pleaded Dawn. But Mamoswine refused to listen as he advanced closer towards Magmortar. Magmortar didn't want to fight, but he didn't know what else to do.

Even Prinplup jumped up and stood in front of her teammate. She spread her flippers out and tried to reason with Mamoswine, but it was no good. "Mamoswine, please listen to me!" said Dawn.

"You're going to get us thrown out!" added Paul.

Mamoswine merely shoved Prinplup aside and charged at Magmortar. Paul's Pokémon quickly jumped forward and forced Mamoswine back away from Magmortar. Unlike Magmortar, they were ready to fight. Ursaring and Drapion had their teeth bared, Mothim had his wings spread out, and Luxray had its teeth electrified. In response, Dawn's Pokémon joined alongside Mamoswine ready to fight back.

Magmortar and Prinplup were both trying to calm their teammates down. "Guys, come on! Knock it off!" scolded Paul.

The commotion was causing the other trainers to look over and figured out what was going on. Suddenly, Drapion reached back and fired a Pin Missile attack at Dawn's Pokémon. Fortunately, her Pokémon dodged the attack, but the Pin Missile kept going and hit a Machoke sitting in front of them!

The Machoke yelled out in pain as he quickly turned around to see who attacked him. "Are you alright, Machoke?" asked its trainer. "Who hurt you?"

Machoke looked around, but he could see too far out in the darkness. He saw a Sudowoodo sitting behind him. Machoke charged at the Sudowoodo and punched him in the face. "Machoke, what are you doing?!" scolded his trainer.

Sudowoodo then shot up and tackled Machoke back. The two collided into a Steelix, who was relaxing nearby. It swung its tail at the two brawling Pokémon, sending them flying into another group of Pokémon.

Before anyone knew it, all of the Pokémon began fighting with each other! Punches were thrown, fire and water attacks were flying, and the noise echoed throughout the theater. Paul and Dawn were horrified! "Oh, this is absolutely horrible!" groaned Paul.

"Look what you guys did!" scolded Dawn. "What are we going to do now?"

"First, let's retreat our Pokémon back into their Poké Balls!"

So Paul and Dawn called their Pokémon back into their Poké Balls. But before Prinplup could be called back, she immediately took off towards the exit. "Wait, Prinplup! Come back!" called Dawn.

But Prinplup kept running. "Where are you going?!" Dawn asked.

"She's got the right idea," said Paul. "Come on! Let's get out of here before they find out we started it!"

Paul grabbed Dawn by the arm and the two ran behind Prinplup through one of the emergency exits. Right as they left, security guards ran inside to break up the mayhem.

While everything was happening, the movie still played on the big screens everywhere.

On-screen, two semi trucks drove up side-by-side in front of the cars and opened their back doors. "Gun it!" shouted Cobra.

A burst of nitrous sent the cars flying forwards up and into the truck's cargo bays. Once each car was inside a semi, the doors quickly closed just in time, before the trucks emerged out of the other end of the tunnel. The helicopter didn't see the four cars. They didn't know that they were inside the semi trucks. "I don't see them," the pilot said. "Seal off that tunnel! I don't want them leaving this city!"

Neither they nor the cops knew the quartet had already escaped with their trunks loaded with money.

Paul, Dawn, and Prinplup continued running until they reached the entrance of the shopping center, where Paul parked his bike. The sun was only now beginning to set. "Alright, get on!" he ordered. "If we hurry, we can make it out of the town before they find out what happened."

"Out of the town?" Dawn asked. "Why don't we just ride it out at the Pokémon Center?"

"They'll be expecting us there!" explained Paul. "We're better off just leaving town now."

"But I don't think-"

"I said we're leaving! I'm not arguing this! It's your fault we have to run anyway!"

Dawn was offended. "Excuse me?! My fault?!" she snapped.

"Yes, your fault!" repeated Paul. "Your Mamoswine was the one who started the fight!"

"Only because your Magmortar punched him!" argued Dawn.

"It was an accident!" defended Paul. "And you saw it! He didn't even try to fight back."

"Your other Pokémon did!"

"That's because Mamoswine was trying to fight! They did it to defend him! Not like your Pokémon!"

"Well, my Pokémon don't pull pranks like your Ursaring did!"

"Right, and Gloom was innocent, right? She didn't stink up the air with her spores, right?"

Dawn and Paul continued yelling and arguing with each other until Prinplup had enough. She got in between the two and broke them apart. "Get out of the way, Prinplup!" Dawn said, trying to move past Prinplup.

But Prinplup only pushed her back. She then pointed her flipper at Dawn and began yelling at her. Then she turned to Paul and yelled at him. Eventually, it ended with her threatening to slap both of the in the face.

Paul and Dawn looked at one another. Both were still red in the face and furious at each other. The two could hear police sirens in the distance. Paul then turned around and walked away, wheeling his bike right beside him. "Come on," he said. "Let's just go spend the night at the Pokémon Center."

Reluctantly, Dawn followed behind him. "Unbelievable," she murmured. Prinplup let out a frustrated sigh as she followed closely behind Dawn and Paul.

TO BE CONTINUED...

A/N: Okay, so this chapter turned out to be more of a hassle than I thought. The idea came about when I was coming up with different "dates" for Paul and Dawn to go on, one of those was going to the movies. Which lead me to asking myself "what kind of movies does Paul like?"

I had three drafts written up before I eventually settled on this one. The first draft was essentially Paul and Dawn movie-hopping, with Paul nitpicking each one (because let's be honest, that's probably how Paul acts when he watches a movie).

The second draft was the same idea, but this time it was Paul hating the movies that Dawn likes (romance movies, comedy movies, etc.) and Dawn hating the movies that Paul likes (adventure movies, action movies, horror movies, etc.). The conflict would have been the two having no movie interests in common.

The problem I had with those drafts was that I felt the Paul and Dawn weren't acting natural or the dialogue just didn't flow right. So essentially I decided to get their Pokémon involved and have them create some drama between the two.

Some have asked me if and when Ash would come back into the picture and how he would react. While it's not going to be the next chapter, it is coming up. So look forward to that!

As always, thank you guys for being patient. I know it took a lot longer than I thought, but I hope you enjoyed the story! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

Next Time: As Paul and Dawn make their way to Snowpoint City, the two are still mad at one another and their Pokémon. On their travels, they happen upon some snow. Will the splendid allure of the snow be able to make things right between them?
