Author's note: Readers be advised, Both Salem and Sauron will be at the height of their known power, which means Sauron will have the Ring.
Welcome to the next battle of Clash of Heroes. For this episode, we have two super powered villains who really make their presence known, even when they themselves are not there. On one side we have the wicked witch of Remnant, the queen of the grimm herself, SALEM. On the other side, we have the successor of Morgoth, the terrifying Dark Lord and the Ring Lord of Middle Earth himself. At the height of his power: SAURON! Now that we know our contestants, LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLLEEE!
The scene opens into Salem's realm outside of her castle. Grimm of various types are seen prowling around. Just then, one of the beowulfs sniffs the air and turns to see a dark figure approaching. Calling the other Grimm in the area, they charge, but then are held in a sort of trance by a mysterious voice chanting in their heads as the figure, revealed to be Sauron, walks up, the Ring emanating is corruptive power. The chant does not go unnoticed by those outside of the area; from inside her castle, Salem also hears the chanting of "ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul…" Curious, she goes down to investigate, and sees he Grimm all held in Sauron's power bowing to the Dark Lord as he stood among them.
"You are not welcome here," Salem said, her anger beginning to rise at the sight of her minions betraying her, "Who do you think you are to come here and try and take over my domain?"
Sauron looked straight at Salem; she could sense only a cold darkness behind his helmet. Sauron's voice was as cold as his presence.
"I am Sauron, the Dark Lord and ruler of Mordor. This is my land now. Kneel and serve the One."
Salem raised her arms, channeling her magic: "I will never serve a lesser being like you!"
Sauron raised his mace: "Then you will DIE!"
Salem fired an energy blast, but it only seemed to deflect off of Sauron's armor. Unfazed, Sauron strode forward, smashing with his mace or hypnotizing with the Ring any Grimm that attacked him. Soon he reached Salem, and swung his mace into her torso, sending her flying back into a distant cliff. Salem struggled to get up at first; she had never anticipated or taken a blow like that, but it only made her angrier. She stood up, much to Sauron's surprise.
"You are tougher than most," Sauron said, "I admire that, but it will not save you."
"Maybe you haven't considered the fact that I cannot be killed," Salem said, charging up again, "I am immortal."
"We'll see." Sauron said and strode forward again, but this time, Salem was ready. Summoning a Grimm pool underneath Sauron, she summoned a large, skeletal, Grimm hand that grabbed Sauron and began smashing him into the ground repeatedly. After a considerable amount of smashing, the hand threw him into another cliff. Then, Salem launched a blast of fire at the cliff, bringing the rubble down on Sauron.
"Like I said," Salem said, "I do not serve those who are weaker than me."
However, just as she turned to leave, she heard a whispering chant that was building in intensity. Turning around, she faced nine armored, ghostly figures, the nine Nazgul, as they appeared. Then she heard a deep voice echo through the area: "Now you have sealed your fate."
The rubble at the foot of the cliff exploded and Sauron appeared out of it, dark energy building around him. Salem stared at Sauron in surprise: "Impossible! Who are you?"
Sauron spoke: "I am the darkness that all the land fears. I am the ruler of Mordor, the Lord of the Rings. I…am…SAURON!"
The energy exploded around Sauron forming around him in the shape of a fiery, catlike eye. Salem backed away in horror, but as she tried to escape, two of the Ringwraiths stabbed her from behind. Then, a hidden force grabbed Salem and held her down. The eye began to intensify and a screeching began to echo through Salem's realm. Sauron raised his hand: "And you…are…NOTHING!"
Sauron unleashed his full power on Salem, burning her physical form away completely and entrapping and destroying her soul. Then the blast subsided, and Sauron stood in victory, the Ringwraiths kneeling before him, and the Grimm that survived soon followed suit.

A massive, three headed dragon appears and lets loose a massive, cackling roar.

Author's note: This was a tough fight to decide as we do not know the full extent of either combatant's powers. However, based on what we do know, Sauron has far greater power, being a former Maiar spirit, While Salem's magic seemed to be based only on elemental attacks and some Grimm mutations. Neither of which would be very effective on the Dark Lord as he a) isn't a Grimm and b) can't be killed by elemental magic. The only chance Salem had was if she managed to separate the Ring from Sauron, but that was an incredibly slim chance; she had no way of getting close enough to Sauron to do anything like that.
