Reviews: Nirmtheworm14: I honestly really don't because my actual work schedule is rather unreliable as well as the fact that I edit my stories very heavily before I plan on posting them. Though, I'll post at least once a month, but I'll gun for two times a week. You can get updated chapters about an hour on a site known as quotev. I post there first due to the lack of an audience, so I know if it grabs peoples attention the pilot chapter will be good.

Pridedclub: Good! Hope I'll keep your interest with this new chapter!

Feel free to leave critic reviews! And thank you for the ones that have already been left as well as the story follows!

My vision went from bright white to pitch black again. Soon I heard a voice calling my name, " Aya! You need to get up!" A female voice called. I opened my eyes and saw the ceiling of a wooden roof. " Today's the day for you, you know!" A girl said. She was tall with long black hair that reached to just above her rear. She had blue eyes and a kind smile. My character had memories of this person," Miss Chiyo!" I called out, smiling brightly.

" Aya, don't you remember?" She asked her smile dropping for a moment," Today's your first day of the ninja academy!" She reminded me.

My newfound memories told me this was true," Ah!" I exclaimed helplessly, jumping out of my bed to get ready," I'm so sorry! Let me get dressed and I'll be on my way, I swear!" Miss Chiyo shook her head fondly and left the room, closing the door behind her. Noticing that I was the only one in the room despite the many bunk beds telling me that I had roommates, I investigated myself.

Despite the fact that I knew my character had a pair of pajamas, I apparently prefer to sleep in the buff. Though, I don't unless I have utmost privacy. "Status?" I said hesitantly, a blue box filled my vision

Already knowing my perks, I didn't need to look at them to know that they were directly affecting my STR DEX and VIT stat due to my Nature Chakra absorption. Chakra beast and the NCA affected my Chakra Points and NCA affected my health directly.

I quickly got dressed in what I designed to be my daily clothes. I packed everything I knew from my characters memories what I'd need, and took off out of the room and downstairs and almost made it out the front door when Miss Chiyo stopped me. " Aya, Remember, after today, you cannot come back here unless you drop out of the academy. Since you are officially enrolled, you are considered old enough to live on your own and can no longer stay at the orphanage. After your classes go straight to the Hokage and ask about the Shinobi Orphan stipend and housing so you can get an apartment to live in as well as money for food, clothes, weapons and the like."

"Yes Ma'am Miss Chiyo!" I told her and gave her hug. " I'll miss you, and thank you for taking care of me."

"It was our pleasure Aya, and please..." She said looking into my eyes," Be safe." She said this so seriously, and I knew she viewed me as a daughter almost.

I gave her another hug, and ran out the front door. Getting all the way to the academy doors. How did I know where to go? SImple, just had to follow the chakra signatures. This [Natural Sage] perk is already being useful.

I walked into the building and went straight to headmasters office.

The headmaster, being a shinobi, had to be jonin level ninja who could no longer take missions, either by being too old or by being crippled.

I knocked and the door and got an immediate reply," Come in." The voice demanded

Opening the door revealed an old man with a jonin vest on, he had a goatee and a well calculated look in his eye. " Miss Aya, I presume." He stated, it was not a question. He knew who I was. " You are the last to arrive, not late, but only just. " He said, getting up," Follow, I'll take you to your instructor's classroom." This man was obviously very strict and would tolerate no nonsense.

" We have a few base rules that are different than normal schooling." He said as we walked down the corridor," One, if you are fighting with another student due to a disagreement., If an instructor feel its about to get physical, they have the choice of refereeing a sparring match, or by breaking you two up and putting you in detention. Two, If you are caught breaking any property of the academy, you will be expelled immediately. Those are the ones you need to know the most. Here's a handbook for the less important rules." He said, handing me a book, and I tucked it into my tool pouch. " This is your classroom." He said in front of a particular door. He opened the door and spoke again," Iruka, You have another student." He said simply, pushed me into the room, and left, closing the door.

Iruka was a tall man with a vest on, and a standard shinobi training suit. He had a scar across his nose and his hair in a tall ponytail ( I think is what the hairstyle is called.)

"If you'd like to introduce yourself to the class." He said to me.

" I-" I stuttered, feeling all the eyes on me," My name is Aya, I like Ramen, reading, and learning new things. I hate arrogant people and those who endanger others for no reason, or those who obsess over someone over no particular reason. My hobbies include reading, and training with what little I can learn. My dream for the current moment is to make a lot of friends here."

" Very Good, Aya." Iruka stated," I am Umino Iruka, I'll be your sensei until you graduate, I normally have an assistant named Mizuki but he's out sick today." He introduced himself to me.

"Is there anybody who'd like to introduce themself to Aya? To help her complete her dream for this year?" Iruka asked the class, and a Kid with bright blond hair and an orange jumpsuit stood up.

" My name is Uzumaki Naruto! I like Ramen and the color Orange. I hate Arrogant pricks like Sasuke-teme over there. My hobbies are all about trying different kinds of ramen. My dream is to be the best hokage!" He shouted at me. I felt Iruka's chakra turmoil, and I looked at him curiously, He didn't like this Uzumaki kid, but the Uzumaki's chakra felt pleasant and warm.

"Just uh... Go find a seat Aya." Iruka muttered to me. I chose to get a better feel of Naruto's chakra by sitting next to him. He looked shocked that I decided to do this, so he just stared at me open mouthed. After a few minutes I got annoyed," What?" I hissed at him," All I did was sit next to you." My voice seemed to shock him out of whatever stupor me sitting next to him caused.

"Nothing, it's just..." Naruto began hesitantly," No one sits next to me unless that absolutely have to. You chose to, there are plenty of open seats and you chose to sit next to me." He seemed grateful at this and I deflated from my annoyance and gave him a warm smile.

"Don't worry about it too much Naruto," I said sincerely," Truthfully, I chose to sit here to get a closer feel of your chakra. "

"You can feel chakra?" He asked in shock, and I nodded.

"Yep! Always have! My range is currently spanning across about 1/4 of the village, though if I focus for longer than I can feel about half." I told him," Your chakra feels like a warm sun, softly glowing and wrapping someone in a warm cocoon of a hug." I confessed to him, and He grinned brightly at this.

"That being said, we should pay attention to Iruka-Sensei's lesson for right now. We can talk more at lunch okay?" I told him and he nodded happily, facing forward. That big dopey grin never left his face.

*Lunch*

Apparently, come lunch time, we eat outside. I sat underneath the big tree and ate the bento box that Miss chiyo somehow snuck into my backpack. Soon after I finished the meal inside, Naruto approached me and I smiled brightly at my newfound friend. " Gee, Naruto, what took you so long? We got out to lunch at the same time."

He grinned cheekily as he put his hands behind his head and said," I know, I don't generally pack a lunch, so I went down the street to Ichiraku's ramen shop and grabbed a few bowls." I rolled my eyes good naturedly and patted the ground beside me.

"Wish I would've known you had gone, I would've joined you." I told him teasingly and he blushed red and began to stutter to defend himself.

" Hehehe," I giggled," Don't worry about it too much Naruto, I'm just teasing you." He frowned at this.

"Why did you do that, Aya-chan?" He pouted," I thought I hurt your feelings..."

I sighed," Sorry Naruto, Just having a little..." I saw that he was smirking in victory," You rat!" I yelled at him and gave him a noogie, something very easy to give the boy due to my extra 3 inches in height. We fell to the ground laughing our rears off.

" Aya, Naruto, let's go! It's time to get back to class!" Iruka-sensei called out to us. We ran inside the academy again.

A short history lesson lead to a physical sparring session.

"OK, because she's a new student, let's see where she lands on the sparring scale," Iruka announced to the class," Aya, You and Sasuke are up first."

Stepping into the middle of the ring, Sasuke and I faced each other," OK, Seal of Confrontation." Iruka said, and Sasuke and I held up two fingers vertical in front of our faces. We then shifted into battle stances, his more refined of the Uchiha Intercepting fist. Mine more of a brawler type. " Come On Aya!" Naruto cheered," Kick his ass!" He was quickly shushed by the Uchiha fangirls

" Remember, Taijutsu only, no maiming. " Iruka reminded us," Ready?" We both nodded," Hajime!"

Neither of us moved at first, though I could feel Sasuke's chakra getting ready to lunge. Because of the preconceived movement, when he did so, I was already ready to dodge and plant my fist into his spine. He seemed to be wary of the fact that it was possible for me to dodge as he quickly pivoted on his foot and grabbed my fist to push me away. I stopped myself from sliding outside of the ring. I channeled a bit of nature chakra to my legs and feet to speed at Sasuke. He was caught off guard by my sudden change of defense to offense and the sudden burst of speed as I kicked him into the air. I jumped to follow and kicked off of him to propel outside of the ring. Since he was in the air, he couldn't stop himself from being launched out of the ring.

"Winner Aya!" Iruka-Sensei announced, audibly impressed.

"What!" The fangirls screeched at both me and Iruka-Sensei, then a pink haired one spoke up," Iruka-sensei! She must of cheated somehow! No one can beat Sasuke like that!" The girl screeched.

" I'll admit, that wasn't purely my strength," I told her," That was also me channeling chakra to my limbs to enhance my strength and speed. Had Sasuke not underestimated me, though he didn't do it verbally, he may have still won. I don't have a martial style" She looked at me shocked, " He was a lot more refined at his movement even if he only made two attempts to knock me out of the ring. Not to mention, when Sasuke first lunged at me, I knew he was going to do it before he did it. "

" Wha-bu- See!" She finally said to Iruka," She cheated!"

" How Sakura?" To everyone's surprise it was Naruto who said this," The rules were no ninjutsu or genjutsu, face it, she won fair and square."

"Naruto is right Sakura." It seemed to pain Iruka to admit this," Now shut up!"

He looked at his clipboard, and called the next names. I didn't fight again. Naruto, as normal apparently, lost his match.

Later, after the academy, Naruto and I were walking towards the Hokage's office. " So why do you need to see old man hokage anyway?" He asked me.

" Because, since I enrolled in the academy, I'm declared capable of living on my own. So, I can't stay at the orphanage anymore. I need to talk to Lord Hokage to receive an apartment and a stipend so that I may clothe and feed myself." I explained to him.

Naruto nodded in acceptance. We walked to the man's office and I knocked on the door. "Come in." An elderly voice called from beyond the door.

I opened the door to reveal an elderly man sitting behind the desk in white and red robes with a triangular hat with the kanji for 'ho' or fire. I bowed to the man," Lord Hokage." I said respectfully," My name is Aya.

" Hello, Aya-san." he said in a grandfatherly tone, though I could feel the immense chakra in his body, it was almost stifling. He felt wise, and deadly. Unlike Naruto's chakra which felt almost as large, it was only slightly welcoming. " Hokage-Sama, I was told by Miss Chiyo at the orphanage that since I have enrolled at the academy that I am no longer allowed to stay there, and was told to come and talk to you for housing and a stipend."

He nodded sagely," Very well." He said in a tired voice, he pulled out a book from drawer and set it on the desk and flipped through a few pages, and his visual features seemed to become more and more depressed as he looked through it.

"What's wrong, Sir?" I asked him gently.

"It seems Aya-san," He began," that we have no apartments available at this time. None that are empty and fitting to live that is. We have the funds for your stipend, that's not an issue. It's just that the stipend is set to cover your food clothes and utilities. The village housing for orphaned academy students are free, so you don't pay for rent or the like. So, if you can find another academy orphan to roommate with you have somewhere to sleep, if not... well, I'm afraid I can't help you with that."

I looked sad at this prospect and I heard Naruto hum beside me," Hey Old Man," He started somberly," What if Aya-chan rooms with me? There is an extra room in my apartment, I've only used it to store stuff at this point, but it still has a bed and everything in there."

I looked at him in surprise," Really Naruto? You don't mind at all?" I asked him to make sure that he was serious.

"Like you said," He told me," Don't worry about it! You're my first friend, so I'll do anything to help you!" I smiled brightly at the boy and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you, Naruto." I whispered in his ear. I felt him wrap his arms around me

"No problem, Aya-chan." He told me in return.

Sarutobi chuckled," Well, that takes care of that I guess." He began writing on a piece of paper.

"Aya, this is the paper for your orphan stipend." He handed me a leaflet of paper," You'll take this to a bank to receive money. This," another piece of paper was handed to me," is the paperwork saying you are going to be sharing an apartment with Naruto-kun. You'll give this to the manager of the building."

I bowed to the man," Thank you Hokage-sama." Naruto and I walked out of the office and went to a bank first to receive my first stipend.

Walking into the bank nearest to Naruto's home was... eventful to say the least. When I first walked in, I was greeted as expected, but when Naruto came out from behind me, they turned angry. " Demon! Leave! You know you're not welcome here." They shouted at the boy. My eyes hardened, and I began to glare at them, releasing my intent to kill them for insulting Naruto. Despite my age, it seemed the civilians of the bank were heavily afraid of me. I felt a portion of my body change as I channeled the nature chakra instinctively. I sensed their previous intentions toward Naruto, i felt their feelings and I felt their fear. " I don't think you should be insulting a child, everybody." I growled.

"Aya-Chan!" Naruto exclaimed beside me, his voice full of fear. I relaxed and put a hold of my murderous feelings. I felt my body revert to what it was previously. I sighed and looked at my friend," Sorry Naruto." I apologized to him. He nodded hesitantly.

I then returned my focus to the tellers of the bank," Now, are you going to accept the Hokage's Stipend paper or not?" I asked the people rhetorically. It quickly got squared away. I walked out with about 1200 ryo in my wallet.

"Ano," Naruto began," Aya, what was that back there?" He seemed to be hesitant to ask me that question," The left side of your body went this weird color, and your eye became gold near your pupil. You looked frightening."

" Honestly Naruto?" I said slowly," I don't know." I half-lied. My character didn't know what it was and why it happened occasionally, but I did. " Whenever I get really angry, I start to channel this weird chakra, it doesn't come from inside me, it comes from everywhere. That's what allows me to sense people, and it sometimes causes my body to change to suit my needs."

Naruto hummed," Okay then. Sounds kinda weird but, cool at the same time." We continued to walk towards the apartment building. The streets were rather empty due to it being pretty late. I knocked on the office door of the apartment complex and a tall man with a very... hefty build opened the door. " What?" He asked aggressively, and I glared slightly at him and handed him the paper. He took it, nodded, handed me a key, and slammed the door in my face.

"Jackass." I muttered to the man, though he couldn't hear me. Naruto and I walked up the stairs and opened the door. A bit to my surprise, the apartment was relatively clean, excluding the occasional ramen cup. " Not bad Naru." I told him, and he showed me to my room, which was filled with random items, like half read books and scrolls, old clothing, and a few kunai and shuriken kits.

" I'll clean this room out tomorrow, and help you better organize Naruto," I told him happily," Good night Naruto..." Just before he left though something clicked in my head," Oh and Naruto?" I called to him, and he looked at me quizzically," No matter what, don't open my door unless I say come in. Remember to knock." Naruto nodded confused, and left. Locking the door, just in case, I stripped out of my clothing and fell asleep on the bed that was there.
