"Did you get an accurate location?"Fury stood at attention in the center of main room of the Helicarrier, a question meant for anyone in the room. His patience was wearying thin without a quick response. And his men knew it, he was just about to bark the question again. But someone responds quickly.
"Yes, sir we have it. The location is...Mount Vesuvius of Pompeii, Naples Italy."
"We're setting route to it right now sir."
"The Avengers, must they be informed?"
"Negative."Fury"Keep course..."
Through use of a teleportation spell by Doctor Strange Spider-man and the others made it to where Wolverine and with the help of Doctor Strange able to trace the scent through magic come to Naples, Italy. The team look around hidden well in the shadows, the sun was up high starting the day half-way across the world. Though anyone would love to be able to come here to this beautiful, the group of heroes where not here to do some sight seeing. They had something much more important on their mind.
Wolverine sniffs the air for just a bit."We're in the right place, but at least 100 to 150 miles east of here. We've got a ways to go."
"Then I shall teleport us there, she is at the site of Pompeii. A clever place to hide a base I must say. Everyone keep a clear and calm mind."Doctor Strange tells everyone, as he uses his Eye Agamotto to teleport the group to site. Which was nothing but deserted and dead. With a ruins of the once great city that stood at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. The air was dry and musk, barely a breeze blew the dirt on the ground. Quiet, everything was quiet besides the natural sounds that could be heard. Wolverine sniffs the air once again.
"She's underground, closer to the Mountain."He tells Spider-Man.
"Then we go there."He starts only for Wolverine to stop him, the teen looks at him.
"Listen kid, listen all of you...the Skull is not anyone you should take lightly...not at all."the mutant eyes each and everyone of them sternly, he wasn't joking nor playing around. He was dead serious about this."I've seen what he was capable of doing. He has trap after trap, physically, mentally, and emotionally."he says the last word solidly."You have to be aware, there is always something around each corner, I'm not sure if we got here before Fury's flashy team of Avengers. If we did then we might be lucky, if not well then...be prepared for walking through one of darkest and hopeless places known to mankind. From here on out, I'm taking lead."He points to himself, looking at Spider-Man who seem to give him a sort of power struggle look, but agreed to it."Good, now..let's go."he starts running with everyone behind him.
Inside the base, you sat as you had Captain America's shield hoover around you, as you sat in your chair like a queen. Looking down at the captured Avengers, well some of them. Captain America and Iron Man, at the bottom of your steps bound on their knees before you. Twirling Iron Man's helmet around your finger with a hint of amusement. You couldn't help but tauntly chuckle at them, your golden eyes slide over to them.
"I must say, I am not impressed that you two where caught this easily. Makes we wonder..."you pause taking a finger and tapping your chin slowly. Stopping a smile coiling smile forms. Getting up with the shield following you as you slowly and gracefully make your way down to them, the sound of heels echoed on each cold step. Your room was large and cold. Dark colors dripped from the walls of blood red and black, your men stood guard at your large double doors. A few around your throne.
Stopping at the bottom with the two Avengers, Tony just had on his famous smirk while Cap gave you a scowling look. Both of which you brushed off like nothing, using the tip of your boot you make Cap look up at you more.
"You're eyes disgust me...maybe that's why I want to rip them out. Yet, there seems to be something else in them."you tilt your foot which tilted his head. He just kept staring at you intensely, the second he blinked using your foot that you used to force him to look at you, in a quick flash you kick him across the face where he fell to the side. The sound of flesh and leather mixed together echoed through out the whole place. Even the drops of blood that fell from Cap's mouth others where sure they heard the air whip.
Iron Man look on with wide disbelief eyes. Cap slowly picks himself back up, but you had no mind for looking at him, turning your eyes to Iron Man. A slight rush of fear flashed in his eyes but he quickly discarded that with his cocky smirk."Well, se-"you back hand him across his face before he could say anything, everyone heard your stinging hit.
"I would advise you watch that mouth of yours Stark. If you wish to keep that tongue."your words threatening and dripping with poison.
Iron Man brings his head back up, he knew that you barely used your strength but if you did, his neck would have snapped and that would be the end of that. Mouth already starting to slowly fill with blood, he spits before he continued.
"...W-well, aren't you feisty?"he jokes with a light chuckle.
"And aren't you just a mouth full of s-"
"Enough Kylie!"he hollers to you, your back still remained turn to him."Whatever your doing, needs to stop. This isn't you, you're not like this. Everything is the Skull's. Come to your senses. All the damage and lives you're ending, bringing chaos and death everywhere. The Kylie I know wo-"before he could utter one more word your grip was tight around his throat as you lifted him up off the ground. Squeezing every ounce of air out of him. He face tries to stay straight and calm but it started to cringe in pain. He felt himself slip into darkness.
Iron Man lost his normal cocky look and could see you meant to kill him watching the light slip from his eyes."Whoa, whoa stop it, you actually going to kill him!"he shrieks.
"That is the idea."you calmly tell him."But don't worry."you pause and look to him."You will soon be joining him."
Wolverine comes to a stop making the others stop as well, he sniffs the air seeing it was clear he gestures them to follow. Staying hidden in the shadows a lesson he was taught many years ago, using it was the best way of not getting spotted in the HYDRA base. His mind clear and focused, stopping the group again. It was hard for Spider-Man not to be impulsive, this waiting and stopping he felt was not getting him anywhere more closer to you. Wolverine could hear his hard breathing, he knew the kid was itching to do something. His anger was getting the best, knowing how that felt with an old team member of his.
"Easy...easy"he tells the web head. HYDRA soldiers went marching, though they could easily take them out. Which Nova felt like doing, Wolverine signal no. Waiting for the soldiers to leave, Wolverine continues with the others."..."sniffing the air to make sure no one was coming and pinning on your location. He finds it as well another."...There some others here..."looking to his left.
"What about Kylie?"Spider-Man more concerned about you.
"You're friend is straight up ahead, but she is heavily guarded...also she has Iron Man and Cap in there. But those aren't the extra scents I'm smellin...no..."his eyes widen once he figured out what it was.
"What is it?"Power Man noticed the look on the mutant's face.
Narrowing his eyes with disgust Wolverine couldn't help but growl lowly. Unsheathing his claws"We'll get to your friend, but first things first."before anyone had time to question him he tells them follow him.
Back with you, you had not finished killing Cap. Your empty eyes look into his dimming ones, he was just a few more seconds from slipping into complete darkness. Iron Man could only watch, he tired to a few times to break you from your hold on his teammate. Tired of hearing his mouth you had him gagged. Your grip kept getting tighter and tighter, opening your mouth you start to suck out what little life that was left within the hero. A tasteful smile appears from the taste of his soul. His body started to wrinkle and shrivel up. Coming to the very end of his life, when the doors blasted open.
Taking you off guard, cutting your concentration from your meal. Looking, your men hurry as they start to fire at the intruders coming. Turning back to finish off the Captain, only to tackled down by someone. Dropping the hero to the ground who inhaled hard fro his life, his skin color coming back. Ever breath of air was a treasure to him.
Rolling on the ground, you mange to get who ever was on you off. Pushing with great force off, but they land just find. Finding Iron Fist there ready with his fist glowing.
"Kylie...find the light within yourself, and follow it back to all of us."he tells you.
Looking pass him, at your men who became over taken by the heroes as they come in. Wolverine slashes his way through, as Power Man bulldozer his way through, with Doctor Strange and Nova blasting, as White Tiger cut her way through, with Spider-Man going over to Captain and Iron Man setting them free.
"Thanks, normally I don't mind a pretty crazy girl holding me."Iron Man jokes pressing something on his armor his helmet comes to him, completing his suit. Webbing Cap's shield, Spider-Man gives it to the iconic hero.
"Are you ok?"Spider-Man asks.
Cap just nods his head."Yes. Now let's go."
Jumping back as Iron Fist came to try and land a blow with his chi infused hand. You couldn't help but laugh at his attempts, he didn't let up keeping a calm and focused demeanor at the sametime trying to hold back his own feelings. He knew that he wasn't given it his all, he knew he couldn't bring himself to hurt you to much, thinking back to the memories he had of you. Which where starting to cloud his state of mind.
Sensing this, you took advantage of this, finding an opening you flip back and kick him under his chin with the back of your heel. He stumbles back a bit, as you smile sinisterly at him. Pushing yourself off the ground, with lighting relaxes you strike him again. But he grabs your foot before you land another one, tightly holding it.
"Finally, getting serious..."you taunt him, dropping down pushing back on the foot to him as you twist your foot into his stomach. Making him let go of you, coming back up, you lash out a wave of darkness which he uses his chi fist to destroy but it wasn't enough. Throwing a wave at him, only to dispelled by the interference of Doctor Strange.
"..."he looks at you, conforming with his own eyes that it was you, he was sadden by this but it went away."I shall be your partner..."with that he cast a spell on you, luckily you moved just in time. Flying up at him, but he became transparent."You nothing but a mere child."he taunts you with a cocky smirk.
"..."you growl lowly quickly reaching for your gun that strapped to you, as you point behind him. Firing at sorcerer, getting him in his shoulder. He grunts loudly in pain, the others heard and saw you. Pointing it still at him, you take out another and aim it to White Tiger on the floor. Firing both weapons at the sametime.
"You shall not! Mjolnir!"A heavy object came flying at you and with great forced shot you through from underground and up onto the surface. Throwing you as it went back down the its owner.
Down below, the others couldn't believe what just happen."What did you do that for!"Spider-Man yells at the Thunder God who came running with the rest of the Avengers.
"Hulk move!"Widow tells the green hero, as she hops on with Hawkeye"We have a job to do kid, you don't like it fine by me."Hulk leaps up out of the hole.
"Let's go."Iron Man tells Cap, who jumps up right as Falcon came and flew over him grabbing hold and pulling him up.
"We've got to get up there."Power Man looks at the hole, they could hear the battle starting up there as the Hulk slams shook the underground.
"I've got this."Nova waste no time flying up. Doctor Strange gets up holding his injured arm, that he was able to stop bleeding through magic.
"Doctor are you going be alright?"Iron Fist asks.
"Yes, now we have a job to do."he regains himself teleporting everyone to the top.
Once they come, they see the fight between you, your HYDRA soldiers and Avengers. Nova soon gets kicked back hard by you, luckily Power Man catches him.
"Oh...I didn't realize she had so much power..."he holds himself in pain."It's like she's attacking from the inside."he grunts in pain.
"He's hurt bad."White Tiger tells the other looking at Nova's injury.
"Leave him to me. You all do what you can.."Doctor Strange tells the group. Levitating Nova out Power Man arms, encasing him inside a forcefield."Now go!"he tells them, while he tended to the injured teen."Remember allow Daniel to hit her with his chi.."
You quickly move dodging an arrow from Hawkeye, you fire back at only to have Falcon throw his feathers at you. Which barely miss you, before you had time to get yourself together. Hulk comes down almost smashing you, which you move. Quickly you run up his arm, palm thrust him in the face sending him back just a bit. He shakes his head become more in enraged. Going in to strike him, only to move when Thor came down with his hammer.
"What evil that has it's tender claws in you, I shall smack it away."he tells you, rising his hammer again he comes down hard, but you grab him by his wrist and flip him over you which took him off guard. Just as he turns around, your foot come across his face making him fly.
"Over here!"Hulk yells at you, you take flight just before he hits you. Sensing someone behind you, you smile darkly without looking grab hold of Falcon's arm, as you twist behind him, pulling on his arm forcing him to go crashing down, with your knee on his neck you force his face hard into the ground. Only to be kicked off by Iron Fist. He comes at you with wave of punches, you just laugh gleefully at him.
"Kylie! Kylie! Stop it!"Spider-Man yells to you, he runs to you, only to be fired at by some of the soldiers who started to close in. Blocking Iron Fist's punches and kicks, he does the same. Something was different about his fighting compared to before. His strikes had become much more sharper. There was barely any time to find an opening. As you try to quickly reach for your gun, he kicks it out of your hand which distracted you for a half second that he took, he kicks you back hard. Which you end up hitting something hard and solid. Next thing Power Man's arms came around you, holding you tightly. You struggle to get out, as Iron Fist comes charging.
"He's got her! He's got her!"White Tiger alerts the others, a sound of excitement in her voice when Wolverine realized something.
"KID! Let her GO!"he yells to Power Man, refused to do so.
"No, we got her!"he yells back, Wolverine hurries over to him. Reaching out his hand, his voice still yelled to Power Man.
Holding you tightly, when he realized his grip on you, that you started to phase through him. His eye widen, Iron Fist as well his speed he couldn't stop. Everyone's eye widen, their yells became incoherent. You flew up and out of the way watching with sadistic glee as Iron Fist's chi powered fist makes contact with Power Man setting of a great force implosion shockwave that shook the place. Power Man screams in agonizing pain as he was hit through the ruins of the Pompeii. Iron Fist looks on in horror at what he just did.
You watch this, hearing Power Man's screams when something inside you made your eyes widen at the sounds of his screams. That almost made you gasp."...L..."you shake your head.
"Power Man!"Iron Fist yells to his battered friend rushing over to his aid. Spider-Man couldn't believe what he just witnessed, looking to you as you slowly descend down.
Iron Fist made his way over to Power Man getting down to the power house, looking over his friend in fear."Power Man, speak to me!"
Sunglasses busted off, scratches everywhere. White Tiger gasp at the sight of their crippled friend who screams in agony from his pain. Landing down, the ground shook. Everyone looks over their shoulders, as lava spews out of Mount Vesuvius. The volcano rumbles and like a pressurized water spout spits out lava and deadly heated cloud of ash that, just like the city a millennium ago started to become covered in hot ashes. Everyone stops what they where doing, as the ruins started to fall the ground shook from the volcano.
"We've got to get those divert the lava!"Captain yells to the heroes.
"I shall."Thor swinging his hammer flies off taking to the skies.
"Webs!"White Tiger yells to him, he hears her. But couldn't see her as the cloud of ash started to cover everyone. Looking hard he hears you yelling to your men, as you get ready to fly off only for the volcano to spew out once gain this time much larger than before, and wave much faster of ashes comes the power knocking anything down.
"Kylie!"Spider-Man hurries over to you pushing through blocking out the burning he felt. As the wave comes, he jumps and grabs hold of you, pushing you down into a whole tucking you under him as the second eruption blew over the two of you. He held on tightly to you."I've got you."he whispers.
With the others, White Tiger didn't see her leader though Wolverine comes over with Iron Fist helping him carry Power Man back over to her and Doctor Strange who puts up a mystic shield to protect them.
"Easy big guy."Wolverine tells Power Man. Looking around he noticed Spider-Man was not with everyone."Where is the Web-head?"
"I don't know."White Tiger tells him while her full attention was Power Man."He badly damaged."
"I-I think my rib...arghhh"Power Man tries to speak but he just coughs up blood.
"We've got to get him back."Iron Fist worried over his friend condition.
"I'll go look for the kid, you guys stay here. Doc keep him alive."Wolverine tells Strange, who nods his head allowing the mutant to leave the shield he goes on the hunt to Spider-Man in the ash. Sniffing the air, he was able to find his scent following it while battling the thick ash that burned. He locates the hero in a dig site. A grave that was well know, the Grave of the Two Lovers. A place that was found of two skeletons holding eachother in tender and sweet embrace before their lives ended.
The same way the skeletons where position, so where Spider-Man and you. Wolverine just looks, then grabs hold of Spider-Man and yanks him out away from you. Before the teen could protest he was dragged away.
Back on the Helicarrier which Doctor Strange was able to locate, Nova and Power Man where rushed to ER. Leaving the rest, the defeated and battered team. Wolverine looks at the broken heroes, he knew so many emotions ran through them, Ava did her best not cry, Iron Fist did his best to hold in his anger while Spider-Man just stared out into nothing.
"..."Spider-Man replays what you allowed happen to Power Man, how you just watched it. The look in your eyes, he didn't want to believe it at all, he knew you where still in there. Feeling a heavy hand on his shoulder, looking up finding Wolverine who gives the teen a consoling look as his grim became firm.
"It's not over yet."he tells him."Any wall can be broken down. Remember she isn't doing any of things, whatever it is taking over her mind we'll get rid of it."
Seeing his words where true Spider-Man nods his head. Looking to the ER room that held his teammates.
