Jewel races down the hallway of the S.H.E.I.L.D. Academy, rushing to class. Accidentally sleeping in, which meant she didn't put on her alarm clock. Something she forgot to do, having gone to bed upset last night. Spiriting through the halls, counting in her head how much longer she had before the bell rang for everyone to be in class and if she was late, she would rather not deal with the aftermath of it. The good though, there was really no one else in the halls but her, or so she thoughts. Taking a sharp right turn ramming straight into something hard. Knocking herself to the ground.

"Ow...I'm so dead."she huffs, rubbing her head."What did I hit? A wall?"Slowly she begins to sit herself up shaking her head to regain her sense. So much for her senses warning her, rubbing her temple once more. A green webbed hand extends itself to her, the young girl looks to find standing there dripping wet in water.

Triton. Of the Inhumans, a scaly greenish skin fish looking teen, with a small dorsal fin running from the base of the skull to the forehead, membranous fins extending from his temples, and webbing between his toes and between his fingers. Dressed in tight purple shorts, he offers a smile to girl.

"Forgive me."he apologizes like a gentleman, Jewel looks to him then his hand. Triton is the newest addition to Academy, an exchange student in a sense. Coming from a different race all their own and a royal family.

He was strange to many here, not having any friends really besides the fish he kept in a bowl in his locker. He seem to keep to himself, despite the fact he was always up for the challenge when it came to fighting crime. Which he could be considered arrogant due to his constant regal of being one of the best warriors back home, in Attilan. The place where he came from. Even so he was still in a sense humble and respectful, Jewel seem to not mind him. Finding him interesting to say the least, probably the only one out of everyone to actually be kind to him, minus her mother, Kylie.

Taking his held out hand, he helps the young girl up. Not more than a few seconds the bell rings, which reminded her to hurry off to class because she had to get there before someone else did. Not wanting Triton to be late either, she grabs hold of him tightly and continues to sprint down towards their first class. Taking the Inhuman with her. The two of them arrive just about a minute or two after the bell, if only she had Cloak's teleportation power she could sneak in without being detected. But she didn't and everyone turned to look at her and Triton the second the doors slide open for the two of them. All eyes on peered on them, feeling the hard gaze from Nick on the large screen, followed by the look from her father. Whom she was hoping to arrive before, finding him seated giving his daughter a disapproving stern look. Even with his mask on, she could feel it.

She stares back at him trying to seem unfazed, she turns her nose up away from him upsetting. Nova couldn't help but laugh at the young girl's reaction, he leans over to his friend.

"See, if that was my kid. She would not be doing that."he jokes.

Spider-Man grumbles at the comment, and signals his daughter to come take her seat next to him. But she refused to, taking hold of Triton's hand chooses to sit with him instead. Shocking the hero, while at the same time upsetting him for her disobedience.

Just one row back sitting next to Rhino, you look to Spider-Man seeing the and sensing the frustration he had towards the girl. You watch him rub his temples tiredly, before looking over to Jewel, who showed no sense of remorse for what she did. Keeping her whole attention on her in front of her.

Sighing to yourself, you look back at Spider-Man than to Jewel there was tension between the two that pretty much everyone could feel. Rhino notices the concern look you had, even if you where trying to hide it. So he did something and elbows you slightly, making you look up at him he just snorts a bit. A snort which you understood, looking back at your holograph screen pressing one of the buttons pulling up today's lesson with Nick.

Class ended at it's normal time, everyone is dismissed. You walked out with Rhino down the hallway, stopping at your locker to gather something to over hear just a few lockers down, Spider-Man telling Jewel to come over. Pretty much everyone heard, looking seeing the girl standing next to Triton give the superhero the cold shoulder. The tension between father and daughter was becoming much more prominent.

"Jewel!"Spider-Man raises his voice harshly at girl."Come here, right now! I'm not playing with you!"

Jewel slides her glowering eyes over to him, before sticking her nose up in the air. Nova and Iron Spider couldn't help but snicker at this, though Spider-Man found it the least bit funny. Becoming more frustrated with his daughter, who takes hold of Triton's hand and pulls him off with her walking away.

Iron Spider and Nova couldn't help but snicker, while Spider-Man became much more frustrated with his daughter. Grumbling and mumbling to himself."That girl, argh she cane be so stubborn!"

Listening to his frustration compelled you to become concerned. Normally he and Jewel where close and always joking. Not this, distant and hostile towards the other, Rhino notices the concern look on you. He nudges you, jesting towards to Spider-Man and the direction that Jewel went. You lock eyes with him and he does it back to you, his glare was harder than yours making you yield. Just as you get ready to sigh, something shook the Academy like a earthquake, alerting everyone to hurry up outside. Once outside, all eyes looked up at the large floating island city like object overhead. Casting an enormous shadow over the school, slowly it moved towards the city. No one knew what it was, except one person.

"Attilan?! Throne city of the Inhumans."Triton surprised to see his home here."My home."

Hearing what he said, you eye him slightly suspiciously."What is it doing here?"you question walking over to him.

He turns to you baffled."I do not know."

Jewel who was still holding his hand, looks to the lost Inhuman worried then to her mother and then back to Triton."Maybe they came to visit you?"she assumes, trying to make light of this suppose threat.

Triton looks down at her, she gives him a smile which he returns only to be directed back up to Attilan when the city projects a hologram the head of a woman with thick long red hair that waved around almost like tendrils. Her look was regal and serious, just like the words she spoke.

"I am Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans."she introduces herself."You're time ruling this planet has gone long enough, humans. S.H.E.I.L.D.! You're forces have 24hrs to surrender or there will be war!"With that the hologram vanishes of the queen.

Everyone down below was speechless, all eyes turn to Triton who was just as shocked as everyone. Before he could even say something, armed agents came in with handcuffs and escorted him away. Jewel tries to rush after him, but the agents blocked her telling her to stand down and that these was an order.

"But he didn't do anything!"Jewel berates, she gets ready to rush them again if not for your quick hold on her, grabbing her by the shoulders stopping her. She looks up at you turning her anger about what just happened. You give her a calming consoling look to calm down. It worked for a second, but the frustration quickly came back to girl, she yanks away from you and runs off after Triton.

A part of you wanted to follow, but you stopped yourself. Only for Spider-Man to race after the distraught girl."Jewel!Jewel!"you hear him call for down the hall.

Your eyes drop to the side in guilt for not racing after the child like, Spider-Man did. Feeling a heavy hand upon your shoulder, looking to find Rhino looking down at you slightly disappointed yet understanding. His black eyes look in the direction the other two went."..."

Up in Fury's office, Triton was brought to the man. Who demanded to know what was going on, though the Inhuman had no idea or what reason there could be for his family to be here or threaten the city and world. Stating in their defense, how his people only wanted peace and nothing else. But Fury did not by it one bit, and decided to take matters into his own hands. He had Triton on lock down in his office till he figured everything out. Leaving the Inhuman, for one person to sneak in. Spider-Man. This surprised Triton, the same thing he told Fury expressing that there was sort of mishap and if he could go and speak with the Royal Family, then this whole misunderstanding could avoided. Against his better judgement, Spider-Man agrees to accompany Triton and see this through. Not aware that someone else was listening, and scurries off before being noticed by either two.

You where walking in the halls of the Academy, still regretting not going after Jewels. A part of you wanted to so badly, but you refused to act on it. Coming to your locker, opening it up. Reaching for something, when saw the picture of your mother in there. Instead of getting what you needed, you pick up the picture looking at her. Fury's words echoed in your mind, his truthful words that made the guilt in you shudder. Staring at the picture, wondering it was your mother would do? Even though you had a feeling you knew.

Just as you picture the down, something far away caught your eyes down the hall. It was a small shadow figure, that went into the direction of S.H.E.I.L.D.S plane carrier. Where the aircrafts where stationed. The small figure, you had a feeling who it was trying to be sneaky. Putting the picture back quickly, you race after them.

You kept your distance, trailing behind them carefully. It didn't take long to reach the carrier, still keeping yourself hidden watching the figure who also hide once they heard voices. Quickly you hide as well hearing the voice, when you realized who the voices belonged to. Spider-Man and Triton, you watched the two of them hurry into one of the crafts, Spider-Man looking over his shoulder making sure no one knew. This was a surprise and yet made you wonder what the heck the two of them where doing. Before you could have that question answered, the person you where trailing emerges and it was Jewel. She sneaks on board!

You couldn't believe it, she was acting just like Spider-Man! Those two really where related. She was just as impulsive as he was, this time without a second thought, hearing the sound of the engines starting up with the craft, you rush off towards it and get on board just before the hatch closes. Not sure what it was that compelled you to do this, only the fact of imagine Jewel's throwing herself in danger. Once on board the craft takes off, you look around finding no sign of Jewel, but you could hear Spider-Man who was talking with Fury. Listening to your uncle berate the web-head for his actions, to agree that he had only one hour before he and his forces started shooting.

Hearing that, you became more determine to find Jewel. Looking all around, there was no sign of her. Though you wanted to call her name you decided it was best to keep your presence hidden from the other two. Which didn't last long, because though Spider-Man was a good leader, he was not good at landing. The bumpy landing jerked all the way to the front hitting the controls hard, slightly damaging them.

"Kylie!?"Spider-Man shocked to find you, even Triton. The hero snaps out of it, and helps you up."Are you ok?"

Rubbing your back nodding your head."Yes, I'm alright. Thank you."you tell him, looking around. Spider-Man notices your searching eyes, he looks around not seeing anything. Looking back at you wondering what it was."Where is she?"he hears you mumble.

Arching an eyebrow wondering what you meant."What are you talking about?"You look at him, and he figured it out. He burrow drops in frustration."...Jewel..."he grumbles."Jewel!"he yells for his daughter, the sound of his yell exposed his daughter's hiding spot. She falls out from one of the shelves.

"Ow!"she picks herself up from the floor rubbing her shoulder, stopping when she felt three imposing figures around her. Looking up finding the three shadows casting over her. Two sets of burning eyes looking down at her. Slowly she looks up finding her parents staring down at her, she freezes under their darken gaze. The air suddenly felt tight, slowly she tries to smirk at them. But it would not remove the upsetting look on their faces."I can...explain..."her voice drops looking away.

"I'm sure."Spider-Man's voice lowers tightly."...Why are you here? No, you shouldn't be here! You're going back to the Academy."he turns around walking back to the controls. Finding them busted, that didn't stop him from trying. Until he gave up groaning.

Jewel smiles at her luck, standing up folding her arms looking at her father with a smug look."Guess I'm staying."She turns to Triton, with an eager look in her eyes."Let's go and speak to your family!"She gets ready to take his hand, but Spider-Man comes in cutting it apart.

"NO! NO!"he sternly tells his child."You are in no way going!"

"Why not!?"Jewel demands.

"You know very well why not!"

A growl escapes the girl, giving her father a snarled look. He was unfazed by it."I want to go!"she stomps her foot hard on the ground, making a dent."You can't keep me here!"

"Ah, yes I can."

"No you can't!"

"Yes he can."you finally step in, this surprised both Spider-Man and Jewel. They look at you, your eyes where mainly on Jewel unwavering."I don't know what it is between you two, but if your father is telling you stay behind there is a reason."

Spider-Man looks at you surprised and stun by what you just said. He couldn't help but smile under his mask, Jewel looked ready to protest but thought against it. Folding her arms tightly pouting, turning her back to the other. Sighing mentally, you look to Spider-Man and Triton.

"Thanks..."Spider-Man thanks you. He turns to his daughter, getting down to her level."Look, I just want you to be safe alright."his voice softens to her."Stay here with your mother. I'll be right back."

He hugs her from behind, but she remains stiff. He let's her go standing up, he opens the hatch. Triton waste no time and rushes out, before leaving Spider-Man turns around hugging you as well. He didn't wait for you to hug him back, and leaves."Stay safe both of you."You stood at the hatch watching him and Triton leave, before pressing the button for the hatch to go up. Looking away, for a second then look back.

"...Be careful."you whisper.

It was quiet inside the craft with you and Jewel. You sat the controls, keeping track of the time that went by. So far only about 20 minutes, which wasn't good, because there seem to be no progress. Which made you worry, an all out war was something you didn't want to have. Having fond memories of almost starting one yourself, sent a uncomfortable shiver down your spine. If wars could be avoided, it would be best. Sighing to yourself, hoping Spider-Man and Triton did something, remembering Jewel. You turn around to her, she was sitting next to you in the passenger's seat. Still with her arms crossed and grumbling look on her face.

You knew she was upset, sad and hurt from what Spider-Man told her to do, and the fact you agreed with him. She really wanted to go and help out, it was just like last night. When she wanted to accompany him on his nightly run with the baddies, having spotted Molten Man. She was eager to give her assistance, but Spider-Man told her to stay back and he would handle it. You had overheard them, Jewel whined wanting to come along but her father would not allow it. Which carried over to today, despite her having powers and skill in a manner. You knew as well, she was not ready for taking on any of the really heavy hitters despite her protest that she was.

In training she excelled well, but that was training not real life. Her eagerness and impatience mirrored Spider-Man's to a tee. There was a sense that she felt she needed to prove herself to everyone, being the youngest minus Cho. She was only ten, with a group of older teens and adults so it only made sense, something you could relate to very well. Back when you had first went out onto the field and meet the others. You felt the need to prove them, you where more than Fury's niece and could take care of yourself, not needing their watching eyes on you all the time. It was hard and tiring to work. Realizing this, you regreted agreeing with Spider-Man.

Standing up aburtly, surprising Jewel. She looks at you wondering what was going through your mind, watching her mother walk over to the hatch. Pressing the button for it to open. Curios now, arching an eyebrow. Her eyes look at you.

You look back at her, giving her a slight mischievous grin. Understanding, Jewel perks up smiling."Well, let's go."you tell her.

You and Jewel race through the lovely city of Attilan, which was very breathtaking. Which you admit, you wouldn't have minded stopping to look around if not for the fact time was very limited. From the sound that came from the center of the city no doubt meant that Spider-Man and Triton where there and a fight had broken out.

Jewel looks at you still surprised, she couldn't believe it. You forsaking what her father said, and decided to assist. The look you had given told her different. Even so, she was thrilled at the prospect of being with you, the two of you going to help out and fight together. Remembering the stories from back home about you, she had only seen her mother back home in action just maybe just once. But her mother was older, this was her younger mother. So she would get to see her mother bring it.

Feeling Jewel's adoring eyes on you, you look at her quickly then away and speed up."Stay focused, and stay close."you tell her. She nods her head understanding and follows your lead.

In the center of the city, Spider-Man and Triton managed to find the person responsible for attack on the city. Triton's cousin Maximus, his mad and crazy cousin who had the whole Royal Family under his control. Spider-Man and Triton where engaged in a fight with Maximus and Gorgon a muscular Inhuman, his top half that of a man, while his lower part was that hooved feet. That mirrored that one Greek god Pan. With every stomp from him, a powerful shockwave came. A powerful being and dangerous. Spider-Man dealt with him while, Triton fought his deranged cousin using a wrist device that shot out energy blast. The two of them did their best to fight. But with Gorgon made it difficult.

Maximus laughs manically at their puny effort, he aims his wrist at Triton ready to fire."Farewell cousin."he laughs.

"Leave him alone!"Jewel yells at him, landing a punch on his face canceling his aim on Triton, sending the shot elsewhere. Her punch was strong enough to send him back a bit, she lands down in front of Triton. Who was surprised by her presence.

"Jewel!?"he looks at her. She turns to him with a smirk.

Spider-Man being occupied with Gorgon, was just as surprised to find his daughter. He was about to say something, when Gorgon goes to kick him. Lucky for him, someone drops down and strikes the large Inhuman back. Landing down infront of the hero, he finds you, with your guard up ready to defend.

Baffled and confused, pointing to you then to Jewel."What the?"he tries to wrap his mind around it.

Keeping your stance strong, eyes locked on Gorgon. Who quickly shook off your attack that didn't seem to do any sort of damage, he growls at you raising one of his hooves and stomps the ground. Sending a massive shockwave, that made you and Spider-Man lose balance, the ground shook causing some of it to spring up. Dodging a few of them, if not for Spider-Man who quickly scoops you up and out of harms way. Flipping away giving the two of you distance.

He places you down, still keeping his eyes on Gorgon. Even with his mask on, you where able to read his face underneath confused at what was going on here and a bit upset too."Don't be upset."you tell him, the both of you separate from the other, just as Gorgon attacks again. Narrowly dodging the seismic shockwaves, you look for an opening and see it. Quickly you blitz over to strike the Inhuman, jumping up and coming down with a round house, expecting to land the hit, only for Gorgon to intercept it by grabbing your a spilt second you where shocked, with a tight and firm thrust he pulls you down slamming you into the ground, then throws you across the ground like a rag.

"KYLIE!"Spider-Man panics, Jewel who was helping Triton with Maximus. The sound of her father's scream caused the girl to turn her attention away from mad Inhuman, leaving herself wide open. Triton manged to jump out the way just as Maximus took aim, realizing the girl had not moved out the way like himself. Left her open.

Landing a few feet away, the amphibian hurries to her."Jewel! Behind you!"he alerts her, hearing his voice she turns around just as Maximus fires his energy beam right at her.

The sound of Jewel's piercing painful screams echoed through out the city, Spider-Man's blood froze along with his heart. Out the corner of his eye, sees his daughter get hit by Maximus. The power of the energy beam was strong enough to propel her back a couple of feet and knock her unconscious. Everything seem to stand still, the manic laughter of Maximus even faded out. Something dropped inside the hero, his eyes wide with horror upon his unconscious daughter. Coming to his senses, over filled with with grief and rage.

Heated, he turns his eyes towards the mad man. Who was still laughing, stopping for a second feeling the hero's anger upon him. Which he quickly dismisses, but does mock and taunt the hero."One down."he aims his wrist blaster at the hero, charging it up. He gets ready to fire, when something quick comes out of nowhere and grabs him by the wrist flipping him over.

This took the villain by surprise, on his back he looks to see who it was. Finding you, where the one. He gives you a disgusted snarl."How dare yo-ahhhh!"he screams in pain, as you begin to twist his arm and add pressure to it. There was no remorse in your eyes, they remained cold and bleak hiding the burning anger inside. You flash Spider-Man a look, telling him to go to Jewel. He waste no time and rushes over to his daughter, with that split second of distraction, Maximus uses it, and fires a mental blast at you. Sending surging pain through you mind, that you let him go and fall to your knees while he rose over you."You taunt, you think someone like you human ca-"he pauses for a second looking at you taken back what he saw."...This...It does not matter!"he kept pushing his mental blast upon you, it felt like knifes slashing through you mind.

So many images came into your mind, dark images of how you came back. The ritual, the pain, the suffering, darkness and void. Your body started to go into shock, the pain was just to much. Mixed in with the desire, you scream in agonizing horror. Maximus just laugh wickedly with joy.

"You cannot resist, Maximus is the will. Maximus is the way child!"he pushes his blast harder on you, the pressure was becoming to great as you cowered on the ground from it. It felt like a ton of steel weighed in your mind, ripping and screaming. You begin to claw at the ground, trying to fight it. But it was no use, it would be a match if you could only...

"Leave her alone!"Spider-Man comes to your aid along with Triton. Making Maximus take his attention off you. Turning to his cousin, he attacks him using his mental blast. Slowing the Inhuman down, making him yield giving Spider-Man the opening he needed and took full fist to the mad man's face. Knocking off his head device that used, breaking it. Breaking the hold it had on the others.

Coming back from the punch, Maximus finds himself surrounded by Medusa and the whole Royal Family."Maximus! What have you done!?"she berates him.

To which Maximus retaliates, only to be quickly silenced by Black Bolt, the King, lifting him high off the ground glaring at his brother. To drop him feeling the descent of Attlian, alarmed by this, only for Maximus to find it glorious. Stating the war that would soon fall once Attlian falls and crushes New York City. He is quickly silenced by Spider-Man with webbing over his mouth.

"Does he ever shut-up?"he sarcastically say, he returns his attention to you. Helping you up off the ground."Easy, easy now I have you."He slowly helps you up to your feet, you staggered greatly that he had support you. Your mind was still throbbing, that you could barely make out what Spider-Man asked. The only thing though that seem clear and the only words you said before passing out.

"Jewel, where..."and everything went black.

Everything was dark, everything was nothing but a void. Your body floated alone, drifting in every direction. Not sure which was up or down, left or right. Everything was cold and distant, hollow and dead. Yet why did you not feel such, what was this desire? This desire that clung to your very soul, it caused you agony yet filled you warmth. What was this?

Your body rested on something soft, like a cloud or close to one. Slowly you began to wake up, the pain you had felt from before in your head was long gone. Nothing was throbbing like a sledge hammer was beating you, it was calm and tranquil. So tranquil that your body felt no sense of danger, from the last thing you could remember was...

Before you had time to think of it, a door opened. Turning to see who it was, your vision was still adjusting. That didn't mean you could not feel, arms wrapped around your waist, a weight fell under your chest. Slowly you feel around, your hand landing upon something soft and felt like hair. Gently you run your fingers through the strands. From your touch, the one hugging you melted by it, you felt the weight they gave you become much more heavier, resting on your lap now. With your vision now back, you look down to find Jewel.

Jewel, there resting on your lap content, peaceful and calm. There was a small tender smile on lips, her eyes closed and relaxed. Looking at her frozen for a bit, your hand hoovered over her. Trying to decide whether or not to touch her now, slowly your hand ease up and down, inch by inch. Just a couple of centimeters from touching her, though you told yourself no. Your hand did not listen, and placed itself upon the child's hair and tenderly stroked her. The smile on Jewel soften more, she pulls tighter with her hug on you.

From outside the room the Inhumans provided for you to rest in after what happen, Spider-Man watches the moment between mother and child. He smiles under his mask, though you had a confused and blank look on your face. He saw in your eyes and by the way you stroked the girl, that loving look. Solely focused on what was happening before his eyes, he felt himself filled with hope. That he didn't pay attention to the others approaching behind him, until he felt Triton's hand upon his shoulder.

Scaring the hero, who almost yelps."My for someone who calm, you sure can jump, Spider-Man."Triton looks at his friend oddly.

Spider-Man calms down, coughing embarrassed."Yes, well..."

"It seems their doing well."Medusa speaks for her husband, Black Bolt.

"Yeah, thank you again."Spider-Man thanks everyone."I don't know what I would do if I lost..."he stops himself and looks over his shoulder at the two in the room, a gleam of tenderness shines.

"You are most welcome."the Queen speaks for herself,"It is the least we could do."Her green eyes move from hero towards you, she smiles to herself sadly."I cannot believe my eyes. She is almost a splitting image."

"That she is."Gorgon agrees, Spider-Man notices the emotional tone of their voices, he turns to them with a lost look.

"What are you talking about?"he questions.

Looking to Medusa who did her best to hold herself up right, but her eyes weighed with grief, even with her smile. He noticed the look with the others, Karnak though had his eyes closed tightly. Refusing to show, but the bottom of his lip quivered. Spider-Man still lost, he turns back looking at you then to Royal Family.

Seeing the lost and confused look on the hero, Black Bolt looks to his wife who nods head and speaks for her husband."Spider-Man, your friend in the room there her mother was once part of our race, years ago. Part of the Royal Family, adopted into it. She was not of our race but came from the stars. She was lost to us, we had no idea of what happened to her. But now we know."she smiles at the stun hero.

He couldn't believe what he was told, Kylie's mother was in a sense part of the Inhuman race and clearly she must have been close to them from everyone's grieving look. A look that pained him, a lump in his throat formed. Something inside wanted to tell him the news about Kylie's mother, he opens his mouth ready to say it to shut it. Feeling he didn't have the heart to say it, but he sensed they knew. Medusa gasp silently, shedding a single tear.

"May she rest."she whispers to herself, with a soft smile.

It remained quiet for the mourning that lasted for a few a couple of minutes, ending when you and Jewel came out. Getting the others attention, everyone greets you both. Jewel goes over Spider-Man who hugs her tightly, and this time she returns it.

"Daddy."

"I'm glad you're alright."

You watch the moment between the two, there no more tension between the two. Which eased you, you crack a small smile. Medusa and the others watch the three of you with soft smiles.

After stopping Maximus and you and Jewel healed. The Inhumans return you, Spider-Man, Jewel and Triton back to the Academy and removed Attilan from over the city. After a brief talk with Fury and their apologizes, they depart. Triton became the Ambassador for his people and remained at the school. Fury in a sense congratulated Spider-Man. The two of them watch as Triton jumps out the water and back onto land walking passed them, to be greeted by Jewel.

Spider-Man smiles at his daughter, understanding her heart was in the right place during this whole thing. Accepting the friendship that she had with Triton."A chip off the ol'block."Fury looks to Spider-Man.

"What? What are you implying?"

Fury just smirks at him, with a scoff laugh. Leaving the hero oblivious to what he meant, making the spy in a sense laugh.
