He won, oh thank God he won the first game. Spider-Man won. It was a huge relief to you that he won, which meant for you should he win the rest then everyone and mainly Jewel would be safe. She would be safe, though you where on the opposing side of the villains you still kept your fingers crossed the Heroes would win. Even if the villains lost and you along with them would be lost and not allowed to return back to Earth. Which meant, you wouldn't be allowed to see the others anymore. The realization was painful, just so painful. But then again it was only fair. You had to pay for your sins, and like you said to yourself before and the dark voice that haunted you, reminding you those like you could not have any sort of happiness despite how much one craved it. Hopelessness was the only thing you came to know, nothing but a hole that was remained filled with nothing but sins. Sins that reminded you of all you had done, that twisted the person everyone once knew. No longer could you look at everyone the same eyes you use, before everything happen. Now when you saw them, it was no through your regular eyes but through eyes, through windows forced to be yours.

No one could see pass your eyes, your windows. No one bother to open them up to see inside to see the real you, to see what you have become. Then again, you did put up a distant between yourself and them. It was the only way to ensure their safety, so they would not be dragged down so they would not have to deal with your weighing sins. Even though Iron Fist was there, even though he understood more than the others he could only do so much. And at the same time it wasn't enough, his strength didn't seem to be enough to save you. Which made you feel alone, always alone. Disgusted with yourself, which made you wonder if what was happening with these games was because of you. With New York once again in danger. Where you nothing but a magnet of bad luck to follow. Cursing yourself because of your desire, a desire that fueled you to want to return. A desire that was actually the burning passion in you, to twisted into becoming your cruse. A part of you wanted to cry so badly, to weep it all out but good would that do?

It wouldn't do any good at all, your eyes slide down to the citizens upon the game board, each one lite up showing every single innocent person who's lives hung in the balance between good and evil. Heroes and Villains. Pretty much life and death. Taking in all the faces of each person, your eyes stop on a few. Mary Jane, Harry, Fury, Aunt May and lastly upon Jewel. Your eyes stayed glued to her picture, though it had her smile on with her waving, you knew that wasn't true to how she must be feeling now.

No doubt she was scared, that was the last face expression she had before she taken hostage. The look in her eyes screaming to you to save her, she wanted her mother to save her. But you couldn't, you couldn't save having been capture yourself never had you felt to powerless before. You screamed inside for her, screaming like any mother would at the lost of their child. Feeling tears beginning to come, you shut your eyes tightly stopping them from trailing down your face. The sense of failing creep around you like a shroud adding more to you. The hope you held seem to slip through you fingers, no matter how much a firm grasp you had.

No matter the fact that Spider-Man won the first game, to bring your hope into a solid form. Only for it melt back into its liquid form, and slip through your fingers once again. That was only one game, out of the four there was still three more rounds to go. So there was need to get one's hope up high, you couldn't look pass the horizon. Though Spider-Man was good, was he good enough to save everyone? To save Jewel?

And should have to fight him, since you have not yet been played by the Grandmaster just yet being his Wild Card. You could be used at any time in the game when it seem fit. Should that time come, would you actually fight Spider-Man? To win? To add a winning victory to villains? Or you could easily just throw the match and let Spider-Man win whenever it came to that.

But what would happen? From the way the Grandmaster sounded, he would not take kindly should you throw the match. No telling what he would do to Jewel if he saw you do so. But if you were careful enough for him to see then it would be alright. Right?

From across the room Spider-Man could see the anxiety in your eyes and body stance. He saw the weighted guilt pile up on you. That look you had when he won the first game of relief and aspiration, made him feel good. He hadn't seen that look in you in some time, he was glad to see it. He promised you he would win and beat the game, to save everyone. Telling you not to worry, he knew whom you worried about. It was written all over your face, it was etched in your heart.

Jewel. His daughter, your daughter. Looking down at the board he spots her just a bit in the corner, she was more on your side than his. Though he felt powerless seeing his child in this situation, being held captive and all he could was just look at her and wonder how her condition was. If she was alright? Her safety was his top priority, along side his Aunt May. He had to get his little girl back, not just for his sake but also yours. Which made him think that should he do, than maybe the distance between the two of you could come to a close. After Jewel shared your blood as much as his.

Ever since your return, he noticed and felt you had put distant between himself and you. He didn't know why and he tired to figure it out, but he couldn't find anything really. Though he gave you the space that you deserved, it still bothered him. But that didn't make him lose any sort of hope towards you, there was a reason why, something he felt you were hiding from him. Something you seem to be either scared of or ashamed, because you could not bring yourself to actually look him straight in the eyes, not just him but pretty much the others. Wondering what it was caused him to worry over you, he needed to know so that he could try to fix it or just fix it. Help you with it, but you kept pushing him out not allowing him inside.

Watching you sulking across the room wasn't going to cut it, looking around not seeing any sign of either the Grandmaster or the Collector since the two of them went off for a bit. This gave him some time to speak with you.

"Kylie."

He calls to you.

"Kylie."

You hear him and turn around towards him.

"Yes?"Your tone was dry and shaky despite your best to mask it.

You look at him, he saw the unsure hope in your eyes. Crying out to him, he saw Jewel on your mind in your eyes. You trying to figure out a way to save her, feeling hopeless. He saw it all, pass your strong front. His eyes soften along with the tone of his voice.

"...Kylie..."

The sound of his voice made you cave in a bit, dropping the facade for a second. Covering your mouth a trembling exhaling escapes you. Shaking your head.

"W-what can I do?"you say out loud. Looking away from him."I don't know what to do. There are three more games to play. If they are all won by the Heroes-Jewel...she'll..."

You began to tense up as panic started to take over. Spider-Man saw it, he holds up his hands and with a calming voice eases your ranging panic waves.

"Calm down, Kylie. Everything will be alright."he does his best to assure you."I won the first game."

"Yes. Though that is the first game, there are still three more to go."you slightly snap at him."What are the the odds of winning the others? What if your next opponents are more stronger and ruthless than the last? Did you ever think that it was sheer luck? The Hulk and Iron Man both where taken out last game, these villains are playing around."

Your tone remained tensed and angry. Masking your distress about everything. From the way Spider-Man sounded it made you assume he was taking it too lightly. Which angered, making you believe he wasn't thinking on how this would effect everyone and Jewel. Though mainly Jewel. Feeling growling in your voice, Spider-Man keep his tone the same, though switched it to be a bit more serious.

"Okay so it was the first game."he agrees with you."The fact is that I won, meaning that the other three games can still be won. Even if the next set of opponents are stronger and ruthless, I just have to give it everything. It's worth the risk. Even if it is sheer luck, if luck will help win these games to save everyone in New York, to save Jewel then that's good. Look, I get it your worried and scared Kylie about Jewel. But don't let it make you loose hope okay?"his voice becomes more firm and serious."I promise you, I'll win the games. Save everyone in New York, bring them back safely. Bring back our daughter safely. So if your worried, don't keep it to yourself, tell me. And I'll take care of it alright? We're in this together, I'll save you from the other side. I won't let them take you again! I promise that!"

His strong words echoed through the ship and rapture inside of you. Those words hit something inside you, it sounded like something either broke or cracked like thick glass. Even after all the distance you had forced between the two of you, he was still willing to push passed it and come to get you. He didn't care, you saw it in his eyes behind his mask. His eyes stared hard into yourself, he wasn't going to loose. He would bring Jewel back, he knew she made you happy which made him happy. Not a single word wavered with hesitation or uncertainty. There was not a single shred of doubt in or around him like you. This feeling came over you, one that scared you, because you knew what would happen. You wanted to take his words to heart so badly, but you couldn't do it. No matter how badly your mind was fighting to do so.

His words of hope almost made you cry, though your face remained unfazed he saw it in your eyes. That believable look you use to have awhile ago with him, those eyes that knew he was telling you the truth, that told him you entrusted him now with what he said. Entrusted that he would bring her back. That he would no, could fix everything. Looking at him, he saw your defense you had on you melt away and for a second he saw the old you. The old you screaming out to him, pleading scared about everything. He saw the weeping you kept inside, realizing this you quickly put your walls back up giving him a distant look. Turning your back to him.

"...Do what you must."your voice became slightly grim."Should you win, keep her safe." You look at her hands."At least safe from me."

You mumble the last words to yourself, but he heard them. Your words laced with despair and anger for some reason. Having enough of this, he gets ready to go over and embrace, to give you comfort. Stopping when the Grandmaster and the Collector returned.

The Grandmaster smiles cockily at his younger brother, holding out his staff over the game board in just a few seconds a couple of floating pods appeared around and in the city. The Grandmaster explains to everyone they are there to add to the game should one choose. An amusing laughter comes from him, that made your skin crawl eerily. Both brothers get ready to play the next game, with the Grandmaster choosing Sandman as his piece, while telling his brother the next game was Capture the Flag. With that being said, Spider-Man and Sandman both get transported to the city. And the game starts.

Your eyes stayed focus on the battle between Spider-Man and Sandman in the baseball field, which gave the villain an advantage due to the field. Spider-Man narrowly manages to avoid being caught, which only lasted for so long because Sandman managed to get him.

You gasp in fear, The Grandmaster and the Collector look at you. Quickly you zip your mouth shut looking away. While the Collector showed you pity, understanding he brings up a few more players or heroes and sends them down to the board to assist Spider-Man. His brother didn't take kindly to your feelings, he plays two more villains onto the board. Ymir and Blastaar. Two big, ruthless and tough baddies. One a Frost Giant the other bulking energy blasting alien from the Negative Zone.

The two of them up against Spider-Man and his new team including Iron Fist, Red Hulk and Captain America. Now running through the streets of New York City, trying to find the flag, but Blastaar and Ymir gave them a run for their money. Thankfully though the heroes had Captain America who managed to get them to stay focus and devise a plan in doing so, that even Red Hulk followed. Your eyes followed Spider-Man and Iron Fist the most, holding in your breath. Silently keeping your fingers crossed they would win and for their safety.

Feeling you being defiant, The Grandmaster smiles."Sense you seem so eager to join in the fun."he says snarkily."You shall join in the game, guard the flag."

Before you could even blink, you where teleported into the game by the docks where the Flag was. This wasn't what you wanted, you hear the Grandmaster laughing sickly, not at all caring the circumstance he just put you in.

"Guard it well..."he tells you.

You look up towards the direction of his voice objecting this. When you felt the presence of another. Turning around you find both Spider-Man and Iron Fist there along with Red Hulk, both surprised to see you.

"Kylie?"Spider-Man cocks his head to the side a bit puzzled."...Oh no."he realized why you where here."Hey!"he yells in anger at the Grandmasater."This isn't fair!"

All he got back was a deep chuckle."Actually it is. She's my Wild Card and I may play her as I see fit. She is my guard for the flag. The only way to get it is through her. I'm sure the three of you will come to an agreement. Ah, love such a variable that is complicated."

It was clear neither you, Spider-Man or Iron Fist wanted fight the other. Even Red Hulk but it wasn't as emotional for him like the three of you.

"What the heck Kylie!?"Red Hulk demands, he holds out his hand."Just give us the flag."

A thought that crossed your mind, you didn't want to fight them not at all. Getting ready to just step aside to allow them to take as Ymir and Blastaar where approaching across the now lava ground, like he was reading your action before you even did it, the Grandmaster added another variable.

"I don't think so."he waves his staff, the pods glow and next thing two things happen one.

A sphere pod appeared hoovering above the lava just a few feet and inside seemly knocked out, Jewel. The pod slowly started to descend down into the lava.

"NO!"you and Spider-Man scream.

You get ready to take off when the second thing happened and Iron Fist knew what it was. You scream in agony as your body under went a transformation. Hearing screams made Spider-Man turn back around to you. This transformation was pain seeing how you hunched over."Oh no!"Iron Fist panics.

Spider-Man looks at him, puzzled wanting to know what it was he knew. Because the look he had on scared him. The transformation lasted just a few more seconds, once it was done your physical features where different. To some extent. Your skin was now a chalky coal color, your hair still remained the same color, though your eyes no longer their color instead a full pupil-less soulless ink eyes, the same color as your nails and your teeth now longer and black. A horrendous and frightful sight, one that disgusted you making you look at yourself in shame.

"What the-"Red Hulk stepped back just a bit."What the heck is this?"

"What did you do!?"Spider-Man demanded, his voice shook with anger and sorrow. He didn't know what just happened.

He looks back at you, it was you just different. Trying to understand this new transformation, if it was just some sick game the Grandmaster was playing. Yeah that had to be it, if it was he wasn't liking it at all. The Grandmaster didn't respond at all, a coil smile comes to lips. The Collector looks at his twisted brother, he knew it wasn't right but if it was part of the rules what could he do. He cast his eyes back down on you.

"This isn't right brother."he speaks up.

The Grandmaster looks at him."It's not my fault dear brother, it's part of her blood. Part of her species one you are very familiar with. You-"

"I know well enough about her kind!"he snaps back."Do have any idea what you are doing, turning her into this form? Do you?"

"Are you afraid I am going to break your toys?"Grandmaster scuffs laughing a bit."I told you brother not to get attached to your toys. Now, we have a game to play."

He turns back to the board."As you can see Spider-Man, this is my Wild Card. Wild Card, it's simple your child in the sphere has only a certain amount of minutes to last. Should you allow the flag to escape your grasp the sphere sinks faster the same goes for you Spider-Man. Though if the game is completed soon, she will be safe. So I suggest you put your feelings behind and consider the fate of your daughter."

He changed the rules once again. You and Spider-Man look at Jewel in the sphere that sunk more and more into the lava. Both you and the web head look at each other perplexed upon what to do. You knew this wasn't going to work, he wouldn't be able to keep his word. Seeing the broken hope in your dark eyes, he gets ready to say something when, something took over you. All your consciousness faded and became replaced by something feral. You knew what this meant, it scared you, it disgusted you.

Iron Fist knew it too, he saw the deadly feral look in your eyes and in the stance you took."KYLIE NO!"he jumps in the way able to block your strike before you attacked Spider-Man. He slightly struggled with you, but manged to push you back away from the other. His Chi a flamed and ready.

You come at him again mindlessly. Each strike he managed to deflect and redirect. He managed to strike you a few times, a painful hollow escapes you.

"What are you doing?!"Spider-Man demanded from his friend.

Iron Fist didn't answer him, he just lunged right at you. Pushing you back the best he could from the others, he knew that hungry look in your eyes. Grabbing your wrist, he holds it tightly and strikes you in the side with his Chi. You screech in pain, feeling the pain getting back up you go after him like a rabid animal.

Using everything, your martial arts training mixed in with fury. Your nails trying to slash at him, missing every single time, Spider-Man didn't know what was going on, he took the Flag while Red Hulk took on Blastaar. With the Flag in his possession and not yours Jewel's containment sunken faster."Hold on Jewel I'm coming!"

Hearing his screams Jewel slowly began to wake up, at first delusional unsure where she was. Until she felt some hot getting closer and closer, feeling herself cooking, wakes her up fully. Looking around to find herself in the sphere and even worse slowly sinking into lava. Scared now, she starts to bang on the walls of the sphere, crying. Yelping from the heat and pain. It reached Spider-Man's and your ears. That you stop for a second and look over to your daughter who cried out in fright and pain for her parents.

"J-Jewel..."you manage to regain your senses."JEWEL!"

Hearing her mother's voice, the girl turns in your direction and gasp in shock at what she saw. Which you mistook as fear, that you look down at yourself and managed to see a reflection of yourself. You see the monster that you had been trying to hide out in the open. Hating yourself now.

"Kylie."Iron Fist calls to you.

You turn around to him, looking down at his fist then back to him. He gives you a sympathetic regretful look, he holds up his fist ready to land the strike. Which you more than welcomed, hating this form. With every bit of strength you give him a clear shot.

"Please...please..DO IT!"you scream.

Nodding he apologizes to you, and charges straight at you. His fist drawn back, Spider-Man just a few feet away from Jewel when he heard your screams. He turns around to see Iron Fist charging at you with his fist a blaze.

"Iron Fist! DON'T!"Spider-Man yells at him.

But he didn't listen, and draws his fist forward towards you. Landing the blow, once his Chi hit you, you scream from the pain just like before with your transformation. Both Spider-Man and Jewel look on distraught, your body returned back to normal. Iron Fist looks at you remorseful. The blue light comes down and takes you out of the game, before you leave you turn and look Spider-Man then to Jewel who was safe. Relieved, you teleport out the game.

"Kylie, has been removed from the games."
