The sun the shined bright in the sky meaning another great day, and another great morning in the Parker house hold. Peter finishes getting dressed and hurries downstairs. Coming into the sound of future daughter Jewel watching T.V. or to be exact a movie. Still dressed in her pj's sitting on the couch, eyes glued to the animation and music. He smiles at her and ruffles her hair greeting her and breaking her eyes away.
Jewel looks up at her father, huffing at him but smiles. The face she made looked like her mother's."Daddy, don't do that. I'm watching T.V."she tells him.
Peter looks back at the screen."What the hour special?"he jokes."Why are you still in your pj's anyway?"
"Aunt May said I should be allowed to wear what I want to express."
"And what would that be? Laziness?"
Peter chuckles lightly from what he said."Oh Peter, leave her be."Aunt May comes in carrying a plate of Wheat cakes, her version of pancakes, just with wheat."Come on Jewel, it's time for breakfast."She tells the girl, putting someone her plate while the rest on her nephew's. Who could resist Aunt May's cooking.
No one.
Jewel hightails it to the table and to the chair. Plopping herself down in the seat next to Peter's and waste no time chowing down. Stopping when she realized she forgot to add one more thing. Spotting the honey on the table she grabs the bottle and squeezes the bear bottle watching the golden liquid comes pouring out onto her Wheatcakes and some on her finger just to get a taste.
Peter watches her antics, the beaming smile she had as she poured a bit more. And finally settled on the amount she wanted starts to eat, chowing them down. Her eating habits at times reminded him of the Hulk's and her stomach. He was amazed at how much she could pile away in that little body of her's. As Aunt May told him, she was a growing girl. And growing she was indeed. Not just in height but ever since she's came here from where ever she came from, time or universe she's grown. In her powers and skills going to the Academy has greatly improved her, plus with him teaching her on the side and from what he was told her mother also. On the nightly patrols they take when she does not have homework to do. Besides going to the Academy to learn how to be a better hero and hone her skills, her uncle made sure she received an education on top of that. Something Kylie wanted and Peter agreed too as well. The only thing was that she didn't really have anyone her age to hangout and be friends. But that didn't bother her, she clearly preferred to hangout with the others. And with her personality she grained many. Her favorite of course being Rhino, Triton,Zabu and Ka-Zar. The two whom Peter always had to make sure to watch out for as they encouraged his daughter's "Free Spirit"side, aka Savage Side. Something he never was fond of at all. Other than that they were alright. Finding out Triton was in sense family to his daughter due to her grandmother, Triton often would try to instruct her on how Inhuman Royalty acted and that she was old enough to into the Terrigen Mist.
And from what he found out what it could do and does. Peter was completely opposed to it, despite Jewel's pleads and pouting. Since she got along with pretty much everyone except two. Nova and Danny. She seem to have some sort of dislike or detest look upon her face or just would be pretty much rude to them, not at all ashamed of the fact she didn't like. Like she held some sort of vendetta against them and neither boy knew why. Well at least one didn't, which was Nova a few times he and Jewel would get into agreements over things or at times during training earning her a few times in the hot seat with Nick, Peter and Kylie. His daughter never gave them a reason why. Other than that she was cool with the others, she was extremely close to Ava calling her Auntie. No doubt from back home, the Ava there was like one to her and also her Godmother. She got along well with Squirrel Girl the two together where like peas in a pod, often found lounging around or sleeping. With Cloak and Dagger, she just enjoyed teleporting with Cloak just for fun and wished to join their team. Agent Venom was actually no better than Ka-Zar and Triton encouraging in doing things that seem dangerous, but he would put his foot down and side with Peter in a second. The two where like cousins, while Luke acted more like brother/uncle to her. He was also her favorite sparing partner. Iron Spider at times found annoying and she did the same, making claims her father was smarter than he was, but that was all.
Besides the Academy and SHIELD, at home or in way "normal" life things where good whenever she came over to his house to spend time with him and Aunt May. If there was no threat, they would spend a day or few hours together. Either him and her or the three of them. Though he was just a teen and she was just a few years younger than himself, he always felt like a father no matter what. Taking in each minute as a precious moment. Peaking into her room to watch her sleep or if he came home late from patrolling the city he would always come into her room. Finding her sleeping half way off her bed, meaning she was trying to stay up and wait for him. He would then put her in all the way and tuck her in, and seal it with a kiss on her cheek which always made her smile. A couple of times he had fallen asleep in her room while trying to put her to bed, waking up the next day with her snuggled close and a blanket covering the two. Each day, each second, each minute was always something knew. They had their headbutting moments, and if not for Aunt May who would ease it between them and everything would be alright. He taught her how to shoot web and swing through the city something she wasn't very good, but became better with his help. Whenever they went for a swing he saw the magic in her eyes light up. It was their time. Just the two of them together doing this. A couple of times he found her reading some of his Physic Books or Chemistry Books, always engaged in them. Her eyes spark with yearning and curiosity. Fascinated by what she read and saw, asking him questions and to explain things. Which lead to him getting her, her own Chem set. They would often do experiments that would at times lead to doing experiments at the Academy.
He had a smart child, something he was very proud of indeed. Though not to his knowledge level, still good for someone her age. When it came to the matter of her powers, he knew she could stick to things like himself and in sense had a Spider-Sense, super strength, his agility and reflexes. Nothing from his mother's side he noticed, which was a good thing he guessed. Though when it came to talking about her mother, Kylie. He would try to be subtle about it, but Kylie would tell him things and encourage him go after Kylie. Even if went against what she told him, Kylie didn't want anything like that with him. Wanting to keep it professional and for the sake of their daughter be calm and well mannered. She kept distance between them both, like he was some sort of strange or she feared him. Which he never understood why? When it came to picking up Jewel, Kylie always came over or would meet him at a park, never was it at her place. From what he was able to deduce from his daughter about where they lived, that it was pretty big, like a castle inside. Which soon changed when he found out they moved out, into a nice roomy place that was enough for the two of them plus maybe three more. When asked how her mom was able to get it, assuming it was through Nick. But Peter found out it wasn't through him, and from what Jewel said. It was by Tin Man, who proved it for them. But she couldn't tell him anything else after that. Not even the street the she lived on with her mother. He didn't understand why Kylie was being so secretive about things lately. She never actually smiled at him anymore but would with others rarely. But around Jewel she did, from the pictures Jewel showed them of the two having a good time.
Every time he looked at those smiles, it pained him a bit. Wishing she would smile like that for him, like how she use to back then. Before what happened to her happen, if only she would share with him what happened to her. He would be patient and wait until she was ready, even if a part of him wanted to be forceful and demand some answers and questions. There was already distance between them, he didn't want to add any more. So he let it be. For now. Right now the one thing he had connected to Kylie was, their daughter. Whom they both loved, she connected them both and he knew she was everything he felt towards Kylie and hopefully vice versa.
Looking at Jewel licking her plate, Aunt May laughing at her grand-niece who ended up getting some on her nose. The two look at each other and laugh harder. He smiles and finishes his food. He tells Jewel to go and get ready so they could go and patrol the city since it was a great day, but to make sure she cleans up her area. Excited Jewel hops out of her chair, grabs her dish, the honey and rushes to the kitchen. They hear throw the items in the sink, yes even the honey. She comes back in a few seconds and zips up the stairs. Peter yells to her to take a shower too.
Aunt May laughs at her nephew, he looks at her."What?"
She shakes her head."Oh nothing, it's just funny when you use your father voice."
"Father voice?"
She nods her head."Yes. Almost sound like your uncle Ben."she gathers the rest of the items."...Anyway, is Kylie coming to pick up Jewel today?"
Peter hands his aunt his plate."Yeah, later though. We're going to meet up."
The sound of his words lagging and trying his best to hide his emotions. May places the dishes down and embraces him in a comforting hug."Everything will workout, I know it will."
Hearing her word comforted him and fueled the hope he had. He hugs her back too."Thank you, Aunt May."
The sound of rapid footsteps come scurrying down and landing hard off the last step."Daddy!"her voice rings throughout the house."I'm ready! Come on let's go! Let's GO!"
The sound of the door opening signaled Peter to hurry up after her, kissing his Aunt bye he hurries after her.
Another morning, another day, another day of that dream. That reminder for you. It keep and would continue to haunt you, the more you thought of it the more stress you felt. And without anything to keep your mind focused on something else, this was pretty much all you thought about. Standing in your open spaced kitchen, pouring yourself a nice cup of hot tea, dressed in your dark blue robe, silk to exact. Your hair was down and loose, you stare out the wide large window that overlooked the city. It was a lovely view really, reminding you of how when you use to live on the Helicarrier and looked down on the people and the city. Now you just looked over them. It was quiet in your place, without out Jewel here either watching T.V. or the two of you deciding what to make for breakfast or when she would call Peter in the morning either on the phone or through her communicator. It was just quiet. Peaceful. But so cold and lonely. Whenever she wasn't here.
She was with Peter this time, but you would get her back later in the day. Even though you could get her any time, you didn't wanting her spend as much time with Peter as she could. From what you figured out, back home she really missed him. For reasons you didn't pry into, all you knew was that it enjoyed spending time with her father. So you let her do so as much as she wanted. Walking to the fridge opening it up, you grab some Greek Yogurt, peach flavor and decide on that for breakfast. Strolling out your kitchen into the family room and take a seat on the couch. Man you where just so board right now, you didn't have to report to the Academy. Giving you in a sense a free day, if a hero ever had one. Taking a spoonful of the yogurt, your mind thinks about him. The one who came with Iron Fist and Doctor Strange to save you from their clutches. And what you learned surprised and baffled you, even if it was explained to you both scientifically and in normal terms. It made you feel disgusted about yourself. Even if it wasn't your fault. The fact your linage was this...assuming Nick knew about this, which he was a bit surprised by too. How could this have happened to you? What did that mean? What did it mean for Jewel? Since she shared your DNA too, could it happen to her as well? The thought frighten you, but they assured you nothing would ever happen like that to her. Since that day, they surprisingly showed you in a way a sense of kindness and if one could call it genuine parental love. Even getting you and Jewel this place, though there was of course strings attached to it all. Terms that you agreed too and Nick as well even if he was hesitant about it and spectacle. The terms seem fair and befitting. The others besides Doctor Strange and Danny knew. Which thinking about Danny, things between the two of you have been alright, but apart of you felt you needed to be distant from him. Even if you needed him, you didn't know why what it was that caused this feeling in you. Was it depression? You didn't know, but you didn't have time to think about that right now. Not with other important matters on your mind and Jewel. Finishing your yogurt, you throw away the cup and head to the shower.
Time went by and you managed to get things done and take a nice walk through the city, dressed in casual clothes. A simple white sundress, with wedges, you kept your hair down and free. Which it reached to you to the back of your thighs, at times you thought of getting a haircut, maybe into a cute pixie style. All this hair was at times an annoyance. Coming to a stop at a cross walk, you felt your phone starting to vibrate but you didn't pick it up. Assuming it was Nick or Sam. Even Cho. Who for some reason managed to get your number and would in a subtle way try to asks you out. Which was something you came to bother you.
The light turns and you walk with the crowd, no second after you stepped off the side something large cast over the city almost blocking out the sun. It wasn't a cloud, no. Looking you gasp in horror and shock at what you saw looming over the city. It was the Helicarrier or what use to be it, but now transformed into something else and symbol you saw on its underbelly made your stomach churn into knots. Those horrible memories came back of those times. You had thought you escaped after the take down of the Red Skull. They say one's past can catch up to them, but you didn't think it would so soon.
HYDRA.
The fear of and image of Red Skull overflowed your mind, and your thought went straight to Jewel. What could be done to her, what could happen to her!? Then came Nick, your uncle. What might have happened to him too. The gripping fear of your family being taken away or worse, you take out your communicator and call Peter and Jewel. Neither picked up, so you called Peter. He didn't pick up, so you try again running through the people. He didn't pick up again, angry and scared, while trying to keep a calm mind. You turn on the locator that was installed in each communicator. Able to pinpoint and locate him, he was by the bay. Wasting no time, you race over there.
Praying Jewel and he where alright. But mainly Jewel. Even with this strange gut feeling you where going to receive bad news.
