A walk in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact that I'm dragging a body? Well that's irrelevant. I glance about as my footsteps crush the leaves beneath me, the sound of the breeze rustling the bare branches of the trees around me help ice my burned nerves. The deed was done. After disposing of the body, I would receive my payment. I just had to reach the agreed upon destination. The chill of the upcoming winter raised goosebumps along my skin and I casually spun around, releasing the foot of the poor soul who had fallen victim to my trade. I scanned the area around me, taking in the sights. Trees bare from the passing of fall, dead leaves crushed on the ground as weight passed across them, a bird chirping its cry from a limb above me. I retrieved the foot from the ground and continued on, my destination just ahead. I could hear the wonderful sound of freedom just ahead of me. The rushing of water made me smile. The falls. The end of the mission. The beginning of freedom. Just ahead.
