Chapter 2: Meeting Up:
"Dey need ta slo' down!" panted Raph as they struggled to keep up with the younger turtles who were up ahead whooping and leaping from building to building. "We hav' no idea where dey even headin'!"
Leo opened his mouth to respond only to be cut off by another voice, this one older and filled with a teasing lilt and mirth.
"If you can't keep up with children my sons, then perhaps I should up your agility training." Splinter chuckled from Donatello's back.
"N-No, I think we're fine Master Splinter." Donnie gulped at the thought. "Besides, Mikey's keeping up just fine."
And sure enough, their youngest brother was up there goofing off and showing Red how to do some flip.
"Dat's 'cause he's basically a brat like dem!" growled Raph fondness coloring his tone. They all shared a laugh before seeing the four stop at some point.
"Hey guys, we're here!" Mikey called and they could see the wide grin on his face before he turned and jumped to a fire escape.
"Hey! Shell fer brains, stop!" snapped Raph not too quietly. As the rest neared the two dimension jumpers, they could see Purple and Red openly gapping as Mikey climbed into an open window.
"What does he think he's doing?!" Purple gasped as his brother gaped, green eyes wide. They all stopped as they heard a familiar to some, scream. They rushed inside only to see April with Mikey pinned on the couch, scratching under his chin as he chirped happily.
"And this is our cute one." She was responding to someone while Mikey gave another chirp. "Oh, hey guys."
The older turtles and their master gave sighs of reliefs and small grins in return as she giggled at their expressions before her eyes trailed to the two extra turtles. "Oh, Leo I think there are some turtles here for you."
Leonardo stopped before a small green blur tackled Purple to the floor who yelped in surprise.
"Holy Chalupa!" The lanky turtle cried before smacking into the ground. "Nii-san!"
Red gave a wild grin, cracking his neck twice before dogpiling both of them and before long they were rolling around in a big tangle of green limbs back and forth.
"Wait- where's Mikey?" squeaked Purple, sitting up as well as he could with Red and the newcomer on him. "He's with you right?!"
The newcomer with the blue mask- the older turtles mentally dubbed him as Blue- stood up with a smile. "Yeah, he's fine. April-san patched him up."
"April?!" The other two squawked. The Purple one blushed for reasons unknown to the older turtles.
"She's here?" A head shake. "Leo for once you're making even less sense than Donnie when he meets a new wife."
"Can it Raph!" The younger snipped. "At least I don't talk to my pet turtle all day."
"Why you-!" Their squabbling was cut off by a good smell wafting through the air.
"Hey, , I finished...BROS!" A new voice in the kitchen doorway squealed happily.
April stopped scratching under Mikey's chin so he could also see the newcomer. The turtle in front of them seem to be the smallest of the bunch, his plastron was wrapped and most of his head as well, they could only see one giant baby blue eyes peeking from under the gauze around his head.
"OTOUTO!" Red cried rushing forward as the smaller placed the plate he was holding down just as he was picked up in a hug by the larger turtle. He made small happy chirps as he nuzzled the other as Purple ran over and rubbed his head, grinning brightly the whole way.
"That's their cute one." April supplied the confused family. "And might I say that, yes, all Michelangelo's are the cute ones I agree."
"I knew it!" Mikey yipped, wide grin stretching across his face. "The Battle Nexus Champion AND forever adorable."
"Shut yer trap doofus!" groaned Raph as Leo and Donnie slapped their hands to their faces. "Befor' I shut it fer ya."
"How mean…" A gruff scoff.
"Excuse me." A polite voice caught their attention as their attention shifted to the youngsters who'd fallen into a natural formation. Blue in front with Red and Purple flanking his right and left respectively in front of Baby Orange. "I want to thank you on behalf of the Hamato Clan. I'm Hamato Leonardo, eldest son of the Hamato Clan. My father and sensei is Hamato Splinter. Thank you for reuniting my family."
He bowed and the others followed, although Red had to be nudged in the ribs by Blue and Baby Orange's head was gently pushed back down by Purple when he lifted it to flash a smile.
"I'm Hamato Raphael second eldest and the turtle whose bad side you don't want to get on, which is bad news for my little brother since he's a permanent resident on that list."
"Hey…" A soft whine from Baby Orange.
"I'm Hamato Donatello, third eldest. I'm the family's inventor or in Mikey and Raph's case, doctor." The tallest of them smiled slyly. "And when Leo decides he's going to play Raph for the day, him too."
Red smacked the back of his head with a poison glare.
"Wassup yo! Hamato Michelangelo, the cute one. I love cooking, skateboarding, and art!" Baby Orange beamed up at them, blue eyes bright and innocent. "You said you're a Champion?!"
"Mikey let them introduce themselves first!" Blue gently hushed, rubbing the top of the smallest's head. "If you'd please."
"Of course." smiled Splinter as he saw the brief brotherly moment. "My name is Splinter Splinterson; I learned ninjutsu from my late Master Yoshi, these are my four sons."
"I'm Leonardo Splinterson." Leo bowed with a small smile as his eyes traveled over the four younger turtles. "The eldest and the leader. I love to practice and meditation."
"Names Raphael, second eldest. Guess ya coul' say I'm da same as yours; 'cept almost everyone's on my bad side." He sent a wicked smirk at Baby Orange, who whimpered softly and hid behind Blue as Red growled throatily.
"He didn't mean that!" admonished Leo as Donnie gave his brother a quick smack with his staff to which he chuckled until Splinter gave him a look, shutting him up.
"I'm Donatello and mostly the inventor and peace-keeper in the household when everyone decides to annoy the shell off one another as middle child." The taller purple banded turtle gave a laid back grin, bumping shoulders with Mikey as they shared a grin.
"And I'm Michelangelo!" Baby Orange gazed at the taller turtle with wide blue eyes at his next words. "I'm the two time winner of the Battle Nexus and current champion of the Battle Nexus Tournament!"
"Look at that Michael," Purple grinned, gap tooth showing off proudly. "You're a champ here!"
"And a klutzy loser at home." Red grunted, not noticing the hurt in his younger brothers eyes.
"Hey…" A soft whine.
"And a whiner." A smirk.
"...least I'm not scared of bugs." A snarl and barely held back yelp.
"Say that to me when I'm beating the green off you."
"I'm April 'O Neil. I run the Antique Shop underneath my apartment." The redhead smiled. "My husbands out right now but don't mind; he'll be back soon."
"Husband?" Purple seemed to stop functioning, his brothers sniggered. "Y-You're married?"
"Yeah?" April seemed confused as she tilted her head to the side at his shocked reaction/ "Everything okay?"
"Donnie-boy has a crush on our April." Red shook his head, chuckling as he covered his face with one hand. "Another friend of ours shares a similar story."
"Yo babe," A thick New York accented voice called out. "I'm home."
"In here, Meathead." The redhead responded airily. "They guys are here too."
"Great, maybe me and Raph can go bash some skulls tonight." As the footsteps got closer, the younger turtles watched the door expectantly.
"Ten pizza's says it's Casey." chirped Baby Orange as Purple stiffened.
"Fifteen says it's a normal person." Blue chuckled as his brothers shook with concealed laughter.
"I'll give twenty for a mutant idiot." Red snarked as he was thwacked by Blue. As the door opened, Casey Jones walked in a bag of hockey sticks and a baseball bat slung over one shoulder.
"Wassup?" He greeted, pushing his shoulder length hair back slightly as Purple fell over onto Baby Orange, earning a yelp. "He good?"
"I was right!" Was the only thing Baby Orange wheezed from underneath his taller brother.
"Who're these bozos?" Everyone shared a look as they began to re-explain the long story.
