Izuku Midoriya was a 20 year old student in his 3rd year of university. He was studying to become an analyst, and while it wasn't his first option, it was something he was definitely good at. Observation, and analysis were one of his strong suits. However some would say that was both a blessing and a curse.
There was a reason for that, as Izuku had a very nice girl that he fancied, she was a girl that you wouldn't assume would be his type. She was into rock, and was even a part of a band, however the two of them just clicked. She was a lot more similar to the greenette than she let on.
It helped that he was so good at observation as he was quick to realize they shared mutual feelings, and after much pressure by their friend group, the two of them finally got together.
And what a time it was for them. The two of them hit it off right at the start of their relationship, spending so much time together you'd think they were joined at the hip. It was evident that the two of them were in love with each other.
Call it a surprise when Izuku was found by his dual-haired roommate with daddy issues, balling his eyes out in the corner of their shared apartment. He had been mumbling nothing but a single question.
"Why, Kyouka? Why..?"
Now Shouto Todoroki was known to be a complete skeptic. Even having a strange theory that Izuku was related to their philosophy professor, so when he heard Izuku mumbling something about Kyouka you can rest assured he assumed the worst. Which wasn't entirely inaccurate.
"Izuku." Shouto called out in his bland tone. He made his way over to his friend of 4 years, who was in such a distressed state, and sat beside him. The boy must have either ignored him or couldn't hear him.
Izuku continued to mutter to himself the same question over and over again, he wasn't going to get any answers from him. He draped an arm over the boy's shoulders and just held him as he sat shaking. The boy seemed broken.
Then Izuku's phone buzzed. The greenette didn't react, but Shouto knew who it was, if he was like this there was only one person would be texting him right now.
Shouto walked over to his friend's phone and checked the text. A storm began to brew outside of their apartment, the rain pelting the windows.
"Izuku please answer!" The text read. It seemed the purple-haired rocker had called him about 32 times, and that was only today. Shouto sucked his teeth in annoyance and unlocked the boy's phone.
Todoroki had gained access to the boy's password after an incident where he needed to use Izuku's phone to call for an ambulance. He had tried to play hero and a glass bottle had been broken over his arm.
Izuku still had scars from that night, but it was probably the night Kyouka fell for him as he was protecting her from some drunkard at a party. Really heroic, right?
Some would call it stupid.
"I'm coming over. I need to see you, Izu." The next text read. Shouto scowled at the text, and quickly sent a message in return. Before he hit send he looked to his friend who's sobs had begun to quiet down.
"Izuku does not wish to see you. - Shouto." His message read. He hit send and turned the phone off, and walked back over to his roommate and long time friend.
"So. Want to tell me what happened?" Shouto questioned, as the boy sniffled. He wiped his eyes and both boys looked forward at the wall, and Izuku took a deep breath.
"How do I even start..?"
Izuku sat in his math class, notebook laid flat on the desk, and his phone in his hand. His teacher, who the students have nicknamed, "Ectoplasm" due to his drooling problem, didn't really care as today was a free day for the students to study before exams.
On Izuku's phone the boy had his headphones in and was watching his girlfriend perform on stage, live. She had a big break and was going on tour and of course it had to be livestreamed at this specific venue.
Izuku was saddened at the fact that he couldn't join her while she was on tour, but he was lucky enough that he could attend virtually. He was listening attentively to his girlfriend's voice, and how her bandmates played along with her.
The band had just finished up their song, and the band's lead guitarist, (Because Kyouka was playing bass), walked up to the microphone, confusing the rest of the bandmates. Including Kyouka, and Izuku's childhood friend Katsuki Bakugou.
"Everyone, can I have your attention." He said, quieting the audience's cheers. Everyone in the venue was confused as the boy then turned to Kyouka and walked over to her, mic in hand. "Kyouka, I've been debating doing this for a while. And I think it's time I be honest with how I feel."
Izuku froze, and the world seemed to move in slow motion as the guitarist leaned into Kyouka, and captured her lips. Right on stage, in front of thousands, and… And in front of Izuku Midoriya. Kyouka's boyfriend.
Now, it wasn't public knowledge that the two were dating. It was only known by the two of them's friend group. Which included the band's drummer, Katsuki. And seeing this the blonde was furious.
Izuku didn't even stay on the live stream to watch whatever the next events were unfolding. The reason you might ask?
Kyouka had kissed back.
For the next week, while Kyouka was on tour Izuku sat alone in his apartment. His roommate had gone off on a trip to visit his mother back home, who was in the mental hospital. So he was alone.
He had been left alone in his room, and he never left it for that entire week. He hardly ate, or even showered. Kyouka had been trying to call him time and time again for that entire week, but she just couldn't get a hold of him. And neither could their friends.
And finally it was the day that his roommate would return, and resume his classes. And unfortunately it was the same day that Kyouka would be returning. He knew she would try to come and talk to him in due time, and he didn't think he could handle it.
Every time he thought of her, he just pictured that image of her kissing another guy, over and over. He broke down and began to sob heavily, uttering nothing but the question, "Why?"
"Why Kyouka? Why..?"
"So, yeah… If you need proof, just pull up that stupid livestream. It's all over Instagram right now anyways…" Izuku mumbled, recoiling back into the fetal position as fresh tears began to pool in his eyes.
"So she kissed another guy. I'm surprised honestly, but I get why you're so upset. I can't believe it." Shouto simply said, standing and heading for the door of the boy's room. "I'm gonna get you some food. You need to eat."
He stepped outside of the boy's room and headed for the kitchen. Before he even got to reach for the fridge, he heard a knock at the door. Great. She had arrived already.
Shouto walked his way over to the door, preparing to give his roommates girlfriend a peace of his mind. But when he opened the door, he didn't see the girl who normally appeared at their door. The girl looked just as horrible, and tear soaked as Izuku. She was soaked due to the rain and stood there shivering.
"I-I n-need to s-see him." She stated, shivering. Shouto glared at the girl, his usual blank stare, turned angry. It was almost as if he was staring at his father.
"You know you broke his heart. You've got a lot of nerve, and I have half a mind to not let you in." Shouto replied, continuing to block the girls' way into their apartment. Kyouka's heart ached a bit as she looked down, not even trying to deny what the dual-haired boy had stated.
"I-I know… Th-That's w-why I need t-to see him." She stated, urging him to let her in. She needed to see her boyfriend, she couldn't leave him like this. And she wanted to at least apologize to him, even if he'd never accept it.
Shouto took in the girl's appearance once more. She was wearing one of Izuku's hoodies, with shorts underneath. She had on sneakers, and no makeup. He looked beside her and noticed luggage. She came straight off of her tour bus.
Shouto sighed. This may or may not be a bad decision, but he'd rather give his friend some kind of closure or something to get over his heartache. He did believe that Kyouka was the one for Izuku, but with what happened he held much animosity for the girl right now.
"Fine. Come in. But I'm not doing this to let you see Izuku, I don't want to see you in the rain like that. You can talk to him, but keep in mind how he's feeling right now." Shouto informed, stepping aside to let the girl in. The girl stepped inside and removed her soaked sneakers, rolling her luggage in as she entered.
Shouto seemingly had disappeared for a moment, as Kyouka took in the scenery of Izuku's shared apartment. She had been here many times, with memories filled with joy, but now it felt… So empty. It's as if the joy had been sucked out of this apartment.
The dual-haired boy soon returned, towel in hand. He gave the towel to the girl, who muttered a small thanks. She dried herself off, and wandered over to the door that led to Izuku's room. Shouto stepped beside her, and scowled at her once again.
"This is the only chance you get from me. Next time it's up to Izuku." He stated, before walking off into his own room. Kyouka took a deep breath and thought back to the events that caused all of these issues to pop up for the two of them.
Kyouka felt so fucking stupid.
Kyouka soon realized what was happening and shoved the guitarist away, wiping her mouth in disgust.
"Dude what the fuck!?" She screamed out, as the crowd began to go wild at the guitarist's declaration of love. Katsuki was already stomping his way over to the moron who dared to touch his friend's girl.
Before Katsuki even got the chance Kyouka punched the dude as hard as she could. She had a boyfriend for Christ's sake, why would he try something like that!?
Bakugou had to hold the girl back before she ran over and started curb stomping the guy. All the band members soon dispersed off stage and the crowd was left in awe at what just happened. This was going to be a story so juicy it would rival the latest celebrity scandal.
"Alright ears, what the actual FUCK was that!?" Katsuki shouted, as he threw the girl onto a chair backstage. She grunted in annoyance, but a panicked look was evident on her face. She realized just how hard she fucked up.
"I-I don't know! He just kissed me, and I-I- Oh god I need to text Izu, he probably just saw that!" She shouted in fear, fumbling to pull her phone out of her pocket. Katsuki snatched it right out of her hands.
"It's too late for you to text the damn nerd. You fucked up." Katsuki scolded, as the girl stood and tried to snatch the phone back out of the boy's hands.
"I DON'T CARE, GIVE ME MY PHONE! I NEED TO TALK TO HIM!" She shouted, snatching her phone back from the blonde. The boy simply shook his head, and scowled at her. The wound was too fresh for her to get a response from the damn nerd.
"It's too late." He stated, as the girl's tears began to streak down her face. She held the phone to her ear, waiting for him to answer. She pleaded to whatever god there was that he'd answer.
Click. "You have reached Izuku Midoriya-" She fell to her knees, and began to sob. Katsuki scratched the back of his head and sighed, crouching down beside her.
"You should give him time, that damn nerd's gonna be crying for a week. Try again later, ears…" Katsuki said, patting the girl on the back as she sobbed. Soon Kyouka's best friend arrived, their guitarist in tow as she dragged him all the way over.
Momo Yaoyorozu, yanked the boy along before reaching the two of them. Both Kyouka and Katsuki scowled at him, this guy was a recent addition to their band, their old guitarist Tokoyami had to stay back and finish his exams, and the new guy had just crossed a line that he shouldn't have.
Katsuki stood and socked the guy right in the jaw as hard as he could manage. As the boy stumbled to the ground, Katsuki gripped him by the collar of his shirt and yanked him back up.
"You better give me a good excuse as to what the fuck you were thinking back there in the next five seconds or so help me god I will rip you a new asshole and shove my boot so far up it that you can taste the mud that I step in." Katsuki threatened, glaring at the boy even harder than before.
Momo had made her way over to her friend, and looked at her somberly. This situation was going to be one big mess, and they all knew it.
"I-I'm sorry! I didn't know she had a boyfriend, no one told me anything!" The boy stated, in pure fear of Katsuki's strength. It was clear that the boy worked out.
"AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO ASK!?" He shouted, gripping the boy's collar even tighter. A small hand then grabbed his wrist.
"Drop him." Kyouka stated, gripping onto the blonde's wrist. Katsuki obeyed, uttering a single "Tch" of annoyance. He was unhappy that someone just got between his best friend and his girlfriend, he knew how deeply it would hurt Izuku. How deeply it would hurt Kyouka. Hell, it could even break them up for good.
Izuku had told Katsuki that he loved her. That he was finally going to tell her that his feelings ran deeper. He had it all planned out for when they got back from being on tour. And now that was all ruined, by some sleazy douchebag.
"You're fired after this tour is over. Don't contact me or the other band members ever again." Kyouka stated, and pointed to the exit. "Leave."
The boy nodded and limped his way out of the venue, presumably to wait on the tour bus. Kyouka opened up her phone again, and checked the text that she had sent Izuku. It had been read, but he didn't respond.
For the rest of the tour the girl looked dead, she cried at night as the band slept, and her heart wasn't even in her music anymore. All she had wanted to do was get home and see Izuku.
She needed to see him. Her heart couldn't take this, he'd ignore her calls and texts. He wouldn't even respond to any of their friends when she tried to get them to contact him. Shouto was even away on a trip, and the girl felt nothing but guilt and despair.
She needed Izuku. More than anything.
Kyouka exhaled. And shakily grabbed the doorknob, it was now or never. She opened the door slightly and peered into the boy's room, it was filled with science posters and action figures. She remembered fondly how often she had teased him for being a nerd.
And then she spotted him. He had been wrapped in a blanket, curled up in the fetal position with what looked to be a wet stain beneath him on the carpet, presumably his tears. He was still sniffling softly, and his eyes looked dead.
His form was a lot more frail than before. He definitely skipped meals, and didn't sleep much. His face was adorned with tear stains, and his eyes were puffy and red. All in all, he looked horrible. And Kyouka knew it was all her fault, and that only made it that much worse.
She finally opened the door fully and stepped inside. Izuku heard the door quietly close, and looked up expecting to see his roommate, only to see the last person he wanted to see right now. Though what surprised him was that she looked just as disheveled as he was.
The two sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes, before Kyouka decided to take a step towards the boy. He flinched, and backed away slightly while grunting in distress.
"Izu…" The girl called softly, her tone filled with sadness. Izuku could hear the pain in her voice, but what did she have to feel hurt by? She hurt him.
"Don't call me that." He stated, shuffling further away from her. He then climbed onto his bed and laid down, turning his face away from her. He didn't want her to see him, and vice versa.
The girl looked down, before locking her eyes on the boy's form. She wasn't going to let this stop her from what she came to do! Izuku felt the weight in his bed shift, and he turned his head to lock eyes with his girl- Ex-girlfriend.
Her eyes were both filled with regret, and determination. Too bad for her Izuku was one stubborn guy. When he wanted to be of course.
"Izuku. I-... I really don't know what to say. We both know what happened was wrong… The guy kissed me and-" Kyouka started, before Izuku suddenly shot up. His glare pierced through the girl's heart, and made her tear up at the sight. His gaze was one of pure rage.
"And you kissed back." He stated bluntly. "You kissed the guy back. Right in front of thousands of people. And right in front of me. You knew I was watching, and you kissed that guy right on stage. Like it was the best thing in the world."
Izuku began to pant after his rant, he spoke until his lungs had no more air to give. He was livid. How could she do that to him?
"So why!? Why'd you do it..?" He shouted, croaking at the ending of his sentence. His tears beginning to pool in his eyes once again.
He trusted her with his everything, he gave her his all and even began to find himself falling for her… He loved her, and that's what made it hurt so much. Or perhaps he should say he did love her… No, he still loved the girl. But she hurt him. She hurt him badly, and he couldn't be with her anymore. His heart couldn't take being around her, cause all he saw when he looked at her was a flash of her with that other guy.
"I know… I know I messed up, Izu…" The girl said, holding back a sob. "B-But, he just kissed me and I don't even know why I kissed back..! I felt so bad, s-so disgusted with myself. I cried every night, and started relapsing. Katsuki had to stop me, every night from hurting myself..."
The girl had a history of self-harm at one point, and it was Izuku who had brought her out of it. The boy had always been her main support line starting their freshman year of college and while they were together she never once went back to it. She had found ways to cope, and she found someone that made her happy, and made her feel like she mattered. Made her feel like she was beautiful.
She took a shaky breath, her tears began to pool even harder than before. A sob escaped her mouth as she choked back her tears. "I-I know you won't forgive me. A-And I know I hurt you really badly, Izu… I-I just want you to know that I'm sorry, and that I regret everything. I-I love you… I don't want to lose you. Hate me all you want, but I can't stop loving you."
Izuku's head whipped back to the girl, and stared at her in awe. That was the first time she said she loved him. Even though he was mad at her, hearing her admit her feelings still had made his heart skip a beat. He blushed, but his scowl never left.
He began to think about the events that unfolded. He looked back on their relationship, and knew how fragile his girlfriend was. She wasn't one to cheat either, but this whole ordeal had broken him. It had convinced him otherwise, but he couldn't bring himself to hate her. He couldn't bring himself to stop loving her because she was the girl of his dreams.
"Kyo, I'm gonna be honest with you... I love you too. I had even planned this whole date for me to tell you that." He admitted, sighing. He ran a hand through his hair before continuing. "But then this happened. A-And now, I don't even know how to feel. I'm mad, but I don't want to lose you either… But, I just can't forgive you immediately."
Kyouka blushed at the boy's reciprocation of her feelings, but her face soon dropped as she berated herself mentally for her stupid actions. The boy soon scooted behind the girl who sat at the edge of his bed, and wrapped his arms around her. Kyouka froze, and dared not look the boy in the eyes for she might break down even more. She had been holding herself together by a weak silk thread.
"It might take me some time to forgive something like this, or I might never forgive you. This really hurt." Izuku stated, honestly he didn't know why he was hugging the girl right now. Perhaps it was just because he subconsciously missed her. "But, I want to be able to forgive you. I want to be able to keep you as mine, but only if we go public. I don't want another mishap like this."
Kyouka nodded, as the dam finally crumbled down. Her tears were released, and her sobs came with them. The girl began to shake, and was soon pulled into the boy's chest.
"I'm so sorry, Izu..! I'm so sorry!" She croaked out, clutching onto the boy's shirt. Izuku rubbed circles in the small of her back, as he clutched onto her tightly.
"I'm sorry too… I shouldn't have ignored you." He whispered, his own tears building up in his eyes. Kyouka pushed herself off of her chest and stared into his eyes. She shook her head.
"No. You had every right to, I did something so unforgivable, Izu… I'm so sorry, I was such a terrible girlfriend." She stated, sniffling and wiping her eyes. The tears would just be replaced by new ones, and Izuku placed his hands on her face. He wiped her tears away and brought his lips to hers.
The kiss was soft, and it was then that Kyouka realized that she really did prefer Izuku's kisses. One of the boy's hands moved from her face to the small of her back as he pulled her into him. The kiss deepened, but it didn't turn into anything more. His lips were surprisingly soft, and the way that he always rubbed circles in the girls back made her feel warm and tingly inside. She was lucky that his love language was physical touch.
Kyouka was the first to pull away for air, she looked at the boy confused. She didn't even deserve his affection right now, in her mind he had every right to hate her guts. Perhaps it was just the two of them letting their feelings rule their better judgement. Kyouka stared at the boy, and she couldn't read the emotion on his face, but all she could feel within herself was how much she missed him. How much she loved him.
"I love you, Izu…" The girl whispered breathlessly, before her lips were captured by Izuku's once more. The two of their bodies molded together like pieces of a puzzle, his hands roamed around her back until he gripped onto the hem of the hoodie she was wearing..
"Say it again." He said, breaking away from their kiss. He tugged at her shirt, before attacking her neck. The girl moaned out, as she felt him attacking her neck. He was trying to leave a mark.
"I love you, Izu." She repeated, gaining a small bite onto the girl's neck. Kyouka then raised her arms and let the boy remove the hoodie that he had given her.
As soon as it was off the boy captured her lips once again, pulling her into his lap. The kiss began to grow hungrier, and Kyouka grew surprised at Izuku's urgency. He was still feeling very fragile, but he needed her at this moment. He wanted to have her entirety, and it showed.
Izuku broke away from the kiss once more, "Again." He commanded, looking her in the eyes with a serious expression adorning his face. He was basically begging her.
Kyouka brought her hands to the boy's face, as their eyes were locked together. She gave the boy a smile and gave him a small peck to his lips. She then wrapped her arms around the boy's neck, and leaned into his ear.
"I love you, Izuku. I love you, and only you. No one can get in between that, and... and I hope you love me too…" Kyouka stated, bashfully looking away from the boy. Izuku laid a gentle kiss to the girl's ear, causing her to jolt and glare at him.
He smiled at her. He finally smiled. Izuku hadn't expressed much of anything since the incident, and now here he was smiling at her.
"I love you too, Kyo." He whispered, laying her down onto his bed. He crawled over top of her, and gazed into her eyes, before a smirk brought itself to his face. "I hope you know that if I see that guy again, I'm knocking his teeth in."
"I'm perfectly okay with that. Just don't get arrested." Kyouka responded, giggling. Izuku chuckled, and leaned down, capturing her lips once more. Izuku's hands ran along her sides, and eventually he lifted her shirt up enough to reveal her bra.
The boy then began to trail kisses along the girls neck, enticing her growing hunger for the boy. The time they spent separated was catching up with them, and they grew an increased desire for one another.
Izuku then unlatched the girl's front latch bra, exposing her to the cold air of the boy's room. Though the temperature was soon to rise at the couple's next actions.
"Can we do this?" Izuku questioned, cupping the girl's exposed breast. She was definitely smaller than some others, but Izuku didn't care. She was a beautiful girl, and he'd be lying if he didn't say he looked for other assets in girls. Ones that Kyouka had an abundance of- Girl had hips.
Kyouka paused to think about it. The two of them had never initiated anything of this level of intimacy before. Hell, Kyouka was still a virgin and the thought of being penetrated was frightening…
But then she looked at her boyfriend. She saw the guy who she'd be with and any sort of doubt or fear that she held was gone in an instant. She wanted this with him, and she felt she was ready to give herself to him. Sure these weren't under the best circumstances, but for her it didn't matter. She loved and trusted this boy, and that's what truly mattered.
"Yeah… Just be gentle. You know I haven't done this before…"
The two lovers spent the night locked in a lust entranced state, they explored each other's bodies and couldn't sate their passion for one another. It was a night where everything was set on the table, every emotion, feelings, or insecurities were laid bare out to one another.
They spoke not with words, but their bodies. Their actions would speak thousands of words just to convey one simple emotion, and at some point they realized this was something they needed. Just not to think, but to act. This was one of the only times in Izuku's life where he didn't analyze or overthink. He simply did.
Shouto sighed, wearing noise canceling headphones in the room next door. These two were going to be going at it all night and he debated spending the night at his girlfriend Momo's house, just to get away from it.
"At least they're not fighting."
The next day the couple strolled onto campus, with Kyouka clinging onto Izuku's arm. She would hardly ever do any sort of acts of PDA in fear of being teased, or made fun of. But here she was hugging the boy's arm like a vice.
"Yo, Midori-Bro uh… You guys work thing's out?" Eijirou Kirishima questioned, walking over with Katsuki Bakugou. The two of them were dating, but no one knew aside from Shouto, Kyouka, and Izuku.
Izuku simply nodded, and placed a kiss atop the girl's head. She blushed and grumbled. Katsuki smiled, and slapped Izuku's arm.
"So why're you being so fucking clingy today?" Katsuki questioned, leaning down to the girl beside Izuku. She glared and mumbled an answer; Katsuki must have an idea of what went down last night.
"Come again?" He questioned, turning his head so that his ear was closer. Izuku was about to tell him off, but before he got the chance Kyouka grit her teeth and spoke.
"It's. Hard. To. Walk." She stated through grit teeth. Katsuki began to cackle as Eijirou simply sweat-dropped, and shook his head. The blonde continued to howl in laughter, until Kirishima stepped in.
"Oi, shut it." He said, smacking Katsuki in the back of the head. "Shouto complained to us about how loud you two were last night. We just wanted to see for ourselves if you two had made up." He explained, as he held back Katsuki from trying to fight him.
"Ah… I should probably apologize for that." Izuku stated, feeling remorse for keeping him up all night. Though he didn't regret a single thing that happened that night. It was probably the best night of his life.
He turned to Kyouka, who caught him staring, and smiled at her as they departed from their two friends. The girl blushed and looked away.
"Don't smile at me like that. I don't deserve it…" She stated as the two of them wandered off to their groups usual hangout spot. She was still feeling down about everything that had happened, and she could tell he was still feeling hurt from it all.
"I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it because I love to see you smile. Perhaps you don't deserve it, but we're in the steps of redemption here." He said, swiftly placing a kiss on her lips. The girl hid herself in Izuku's arm, and the boy chuckled softly.
"I love you, Izu…" She said, clutching the boy's arm tightly. "So much… You deserve better. You'd probably want someone better…"
"Kyo?" The boy called, grabbing the girls attention. She looked up at him, and saw that earnest smile that he'd always save for her. It made her tear up slightly, the love behind that look was all he needed to give her for reassurance.
"You're all I want." He stated, causing the girl to smile. She then heard a click as Izuku had taken a picture of the two of them together. The picture had her smiling, while he stood beside her with a small grin of his own.
"Aaaaand, I'm posting that. Now I won't have to worry about anyone else trying to take you from me. You're all mine, now." He stated, chuckling like a villain. Kyouka scowled at the boy and punched him in the arm. He didn't even flinch.
"You could've at least given me a heads up!" The girl complained, continuing to smack his beefy bicep. "But... I guess it's for the best. Now we don't have to go on secret outings anymore, I can finally show you off!"
Izuku and Kyouka shared a laugh at the girl's comment. Izuku embraced her, and pampered her face with kisses. Onlookers either cringing or happy to see such a nice couple together.
"Then let's show each other off for the world to see. You're mine and I'm yours."
