Tris POV

Once I reach the café I saw my client Samantha Jackson sitting there I waved and sat opposite her. Before I could say anything more than a hi a waitress approached and asked for our orders.

I had a plain coffee and a pastry. Samantha just ordered tea. Once that was out of the way I greeted her and asked about the case she wanted me to handle, a child custody case. She loved her two girls and wanted them both as she worried for their safety when they were with their father. I didn't ask too many details this early on but I could easily guess.

We talked about the rest of the things and I advised her on how to proceed it was almost 3 so I quickly left after sorting everything out and agreed to meet her later at the office this time. As I was leaving I checked my phone and saw that Zeke and Christina both had texted me about that they were going to the club later on and to meet me there at 5.

I was thankful and made it back to office quickly. It was almost deserted so I quietly slipped into my office and started with some paperwork I had neglected.

After I was done with it I checked the time it was 4:50 I had to meet the guys in 10 minutes but I felt really tired and could feel a headache coming on and decided to skip it. I texted Christina to let her know I won't be coming.

Immediately my phone rang and Chris's face popped up on the caller ID warily I picked it up and before she could say anything I began, "Look Chris I know you want me to come but I'm tired and feel a headache coming on so I am heading home. Please I am just gonna go and crash I am really tired."

I guess she must have heard something in my voice because she mutters fine and then says, "How many times have I told you to not keep working until so late Tris" and then launches into a rant after about 5 minutes she stops takes a breath and says,

"Fine I'm letting you off this time but next time no excuses okay?"

"'Kay Chris Bye"

"Bye hon sleep tight" She replies and hangs up.

As I head home my thought drift towards a certain blue-eyed boy. I don't know what is it about him that intrigues me so much and his eyes that make me feel like he is looking through my soul. I shake myself out of it when I reach home though. I unlock the door and the sudden silence that descends on me jars me for a minute.

I take a moment to myself and look through the fridge. I will have to go grocery shopping soon and anyways I am not in the mood to cook so I just order a pizza for myself.

Once the pizza arrives I settle on the couch and surf through Netflix for a good series to watch I finally settle on reruns of Friends after about half an hour I am done with eating and my eyelids are getting heavier and heavier so I shut the TV off and head up to my bedroom change into my PJs and drift off to sleep.

*Next Day*

Beep. Beep. Beep. The alarm goes off and I get up trying to remember the dream I had. It starred a certain blue-eyed guy. I groan and scold myself dammit Tris don't think about him especially after the way he behaved….but still he was so handsome and.….after all it was my fault too well kinda.

Shaking my head I stretch a bit and quickly get dressed and head out for a run. After about an hour I come back to the house and shower and get dressed for work. I have some breakfast as I don't want to stop by the café considering my last encounter there. I sigh thinking about the interrogation I have to face from Christina today.

But I am in a better mood than yesterday when I enter the office and Chris being my best friend notices this immediately. As I head over to my desk she comes up to sit beside me and says, "Someone looks really happy today considering yesterday they skipped a party because of a headache."

I sigh and reply, "Chris, I really was tired yesterday and I had gone for a run this morning and it just made me feel better."

Chris just rolls her eyes and says, "Sure, whatever you say. Do you want a coffee I am gonna get myself one."

"Yeah sure and can you please get me a donut too. I don't know why but I am really craving for something sweet."

"Fine I'll get it for ya. Be back in five." She says and without waiting for a reply heads out.

I then busy myself checking my to-do list for today.

Huh I have a new person to help me. I wonder who this is. No doubt replacement for Al. Thank god he left the guy was giving me the creeps. I mean at first all was good but then later on…not so much. I hope this new guy is good.

I am still lost in my own thoughts as Zeke sneaks up behind me and startles me completely. I jump and turn around to face him yelling, "Ezekiel Pedrad you had better apologize before I kick your in the balls!"

I know it isn't fair but he knows I loathe it when people sneak up on me and he still did that.

"Woah Woah calm down calm down! Jesus Tris what's got into you today?" He questions

"Well you scared the crap out of me" I justify myself and glare at him.

"Fine I'm sorry but I didn't want to scare you just looked so lost in your thoughts that I just had to take this opportunity and don't worry next time I will think twice before doing it." He apologizes but is still smirking.

"You had better" I snap at him and give him another glare.

"Anyways I'm sure you saw that you have a replacement for Al right?" He doesn't wait for me to reply and continues, "So this is Four he is starting from today and will he helping you with your case first."

Huh, he did take up that offer but then I groan realizing I'm going to have to put up with him but on the other hand I find that I don't mind spending time with him in fact- woah! Where did that come from? Stop it Tris I scold myself and shake out of it.

Zeke catches my expression and says, "So I take it you guys have met before and judging by your expression it didn't go well."

It's then that Four comes over and says, "Look Tris I'm sorry about what happened at the café. I am usually very reserved and don't talk too much so-" at that point he is cut off by Zeke saying, "Yeah Tris you should totally see him like that he doesn't even smile." Four throws him a quiet intimidating glare and Zeke instantly shuts up.

I take the opportunity and say, "I think we started off on the wrong foot. How about we start over again and nicely this time." I say and to my relief Four smiles and formally introduces himself again, "Hi I'm Four. Nice to meet you."

God that deep, sexy voice still sends shivers down my spine but I manage to reply somehow without blushing and getting lost in his gorgeous eyes and say, "Nice to meet you Four. I'm Tris Prior."

And then we shake hands and I swear I feel a jolt of electricity go through me and I swear I blush a little and look up at him to see him already looking at me with the same expression. Did he feel it too? I silently wonder to myself and thankfully before it gets too awkward Christina arrives and takes in the scene and we break apart my fingers are still tingling.

I clear my throat since its suddenly awfully quiet and Chris taking the hint says, "Hey Four nice to see you again." Again? Wait has she met him before too I know he was Zeke's best friend but how does Chris know him? I make a mental note to ask her later.

Then Four says, "Hey Christina. Tris shall we get to work?" He asks

For a second I'm confused then I remember that this is a office. Get your feelings under control Tris!

I nod and motion for him to follow me. Luckily his desk is next to mine. I cringe remembering who sat here the last time. He must have seen my expression because he looks at me a bit confused but when I don't say anything he doesn't push it.

I sigh and start removing all the files required for it and motion him to get logged into his laptop.

Then we get to work as I start explaining the details about the case to him.
