Note: This is unofficially my first Steven Universe story and it's a parody of Ghostbusters. I know, Ghostbusters isn't just a horror movie, but I have to do a parody of something. This story will take place a month after the end of Steven Universe Future, but the Crystal Gems will meet Steven again. Okay, let's get on with it.

Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl were busy at Little Homeworld, teaching gems how to find a different purpose and break free of their brainwashing prior to Era 3. So far, everything was dull. In fact, nothing much had changed since the place's opening. However, the Crystal Gems were glad to have seen their friends back to normal after being corrupted for so long. It was all thanks to Steven Universe, who had convinced the Diamonds to fix the damage they had done. Due to the son of Pink Diamond's ways, most of the gems that were once enemies were now allies. Everything would be simple until that fateful day.

The phone rang at the Temple, which prompted Garnet to answer it.

"Hello?" The Crystal Gems' leader asked.

"Is this Garnet?" A voice came out from the other end.

"Speaking." She said.

"There's been a disturbance at the library in Empire City," the stranger spoke, "and I was wondering if your team could come here."

"We'll be there." Garnet stated.

A few hours later, and the Crystal Gems were in Empire City's local library, with Pearl carrying a duffel bag full of random objects.

"I still don't see why they couldn't just call a ghost hunter to do this." Amethyst stated.

"The guy who called the Temple did say that he wanted for us to be here." Pearl said.

"We need to help out," Garnet said, "even if this isn't what we do."

"But we don't have ghost hunting equipment." Amethyst said.

"Actually," Pearl corrected the smaller gem as she unzipped the duffel bag, "Peridot and I had been working on equipment designed for trapping apparitions and keeping them in check."

Sitting the now open bag on the floor, Pearl handed Garnet and Amethyst metallic boxes that were attached to cables.

"What are these?" Amethyst asked.

"They're the traps that will ensnare the ghosts." Pearl explained.

"Brilliant." Garnet said.

The three then proceeded to walk through the library, where they saw books stacked in tower-like formations. In addition, there was green slime on the shelves. Pearl then took out an odd device that beeped when she put it near the slime.

"Ectoplasm." The gem said, "A ghost is here alright. I'll have to thank Peridot for making these PKE meters."

"Where is the ghost anyway?" Amethyst asked.

Without warning, a purple ghost jumped out and roared at the three gems.

"Garnet, throw a trap!" Pearl cried.

"On it!" The taller gem said as she threw one of the traps out.

"Everyone, grab a proton pack!" Pearl shouted.

The three then grabbed the devices and activated them. When the proton streams came out, they ensnared the ghost and pulled it towards the trap. Now that the threat was captured, Amethyst carefully picked up the trap.

"We came, we saw, we kicked its ass!" The shortest gem boasted.

"Amethyst, language." Pearl groaned.

"She is right." Garnet stated.

After the Crystal Gems collected the reward from the library's owner, the three sat down on the curb.

"So now what?" Amethyst asked.

"We should become ghost hunters!" Pearl stated.

"But where will we stay?" The shorter gem asked.

"There's an abandoned fire station we could use." Garnet said.

"Then let's use it!" Pearl smiled.

A few weeks later and the Crystal Gems had opened up shop in the old fire station, with Lapis Lazuli becoming their receptionist. Despite an offer to become another ghost hunter, the water-controlling gem decided to stay away from conflict. Everyday was just catching a spirit who was stuck in limbo, and it would be like that if not for that fateful day.

Connie Maheswaran was walking through her house when she heard an odd noise that sounded like a wolf. Outside of her house was a wolf-like creature that had blood red eyes. This creature phased into the house and snuck up behind Connie. Before she could do anything, the creature had taken over her body. Now that she was possessed, Connie was unable to stop herself from traveling to Empire City. This was the creature's doing, as its master had compelled it to come to her.

On a slow day, the Crystal Gems were reading about a tower in Empire City that was built by an architect named Miyu Lynx. Lynx was a misanthrope who was willing to bring about the end of the world some day. And, according to the book the three were reading, that day was today.

"Do you think that we could stop it?" Amethyst asked.

"We have to," Pearl said, "even if the world is already damaged by what Homeworld did to it in the past."

"You guys have a phone call!" Lapis called.

"Who is it?" Garnet asked.

"Steven!" Lapis said.

"Steven?" Pearl smiled as she picked up the phone, hoping to hear the young man's voice again.

"Pearl," Steven's voice came out of the line, "Connie's here in Empire City. When I called her parents, they said that she was acting like she was possessed."

"Possessed?!" The gem cried.

"By who?" Amethyst asked.

"The gatekeeper." Garnet said.

"Steven," Pearl spoke, "where are you at?!"

"I'm a few miles away from the building you work at." The young man answered, "I've got Peridot with me as well, since she's acting like she's possessed too!"

"I AM THE KEY MASTER!" Peridot's voice came out of the phone.

"Bring Peridot here," Pearl said, "and we'll have you go see Connie! We'll see you in a minute!"

Steven came into the building with Peridot in a bubble, with the green gem struggling to break out of it. Without hesitation, the son of Pink Diamond handed the bubble over to the three.

"Take care of her guys," Steven spoke, "I'm going to go see Connie!"

"Got it!" Amethyst said as she led Peridot into another room.

"I need to find the Gatekeeper so that Miyu Lynx can be unleashed!" Peridot shouted.

Steven ran out of the building and started to head towards the one Connie was at.

"Connie!" Steven shouted as he ran through a hotel, "Connie, where are you?!"

"Are you the Key Master?" Connie's voice rang out.

When Steven turned around, he saw Connie levitating above him.

"What have you done with Connie?!" The gem-human hybrid angrily asked.

"There is no Connie," a demonic voice came out of the young woman, "only Fulo."

"Then let her go!" Steven said.

Connie slowly floated down to the ground and fell asleep. Not wanting to take a chance, Steven left the room and decided to head back to the building where the others were at.

Pearl was watching over Peridot, who was possessed by the Key Master. By running tests, the Crystal Gems learned more about Miyu Lynx and the events that were going to happen tonight. As the three were getting done testing their possessed ally, Steven ran into the building.

"Steven, what's wrong?" Lapis asked.

"I know what's possessing Connie!" Steven yelled.

"We know, the Gatekeeper." Pearl stated.

"Oh." The young man blushed in embarrassment.

"We'll get to her when we get done with Peridot." Garnet said.

"Where is Peridot anyway?" Steven asked.

"She's right -" Amethyst started to speak before noticing that Peridot had vanished. The window had been smashed open, allowing the small green gem to escape and meet up with the possessed Connie.

"I'm the Key Master!" The possessed Peridot greeted.

"And I'm the Gatekeeper." The possessed Connie said.

"Shall we go open the gate?!" The green gem asked.

"We shall." The young woman said as the two flew off to the tallest building in Empire City.

"If they open the gate, the world will end!" Lapis stated.

"Then we're going to go up there!" Garnet said.

"I'm going too!" Steven cracked his knuckles.

"What about you, Lapis?" Amethyst asked.

"I'm staying out of conflict, remember?" Lapis asked.

"Looks like Steven's coming with us." Pearl said.

"Yeah," Amethyst said, "let's go close that gate!"

As the reunited team drove off in their vehicle, Steven couldn't help but be amazed by what Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl were doing.

"I can't believe that you guys became ghost hunters!" Steven spoke.

"We can't always run a homeschool for other gems." Amethyst stated.

"Why didn't you bring Bismuth with you?" He asked.

"She said that the ghost hunting business wasn't for her." Pearl said.

"Before we go in," Garnet said, "you will need to grab a proton pack, Steven."

"I wonder why you guys don't poof when you use those." Steven said.

"Peridot made them so that wouldn't happen." Garnet stated.

The Crystal Gems walked up to the top of the skyscraper, where Connie and Peridot were being transformed into wolf-like creatures by purple lightning that was opening the gate.

"We're too late!" Amethyst screamed.

"Connie! Peridot!" Steven wailed.

The gate had finally opened, where a lynx walked out towards the Crystal Gems.

"She's an actual lynx?" Pearl asked.

"Haven't you been paying attention to the eight previous parodies?" Amethyst asked.

"There weren't pictures of her, after all." Garnet stated.

"Let Connie and Peridot go!" Steven shouted at Miyu Lynx.

"Are you gods?" Miyu asked.

"No!" Amethyst honestly said.

In response, Miyu threw a bolt of lightning near the four ghost hunters.

"Next time if some being asks if you're a god," Pearl warned, "say 'yes'!"

"We can argue later," Garnet stated, "we need to deal with Miyu Lynx!"

"We'll stop her," Steven said, "I'll make sure of it!"

The four gems fired their proton packs at Miyu, but the lynx jumped out of sight.

"No!" Steven screamed.

"Where'd she go?!" Pearl shouted.

"For your ferocity," Miyu's voice came from the sky, "I will let one of you decide on the form for the Destroyer."

"Not gonna happen!" Amethyst called.

"Too late, it's decided." The lynx stated.

"What?!" Pearl squawked.

"Oh no." Steven said to himself.

"Steven?" Garnet asked.

"She read my mind." The son of Pink Diamond sighed.

"What will the Destroyer look like?" Pearl asked.

A moan was heard throughout Empire City. That moan was coming from an enormous marshmallow that was slithering through the city.

"It's always a giant marshmallow." Amethyst said in annoyance.

"Roast it!" Garnet shouted as she fired a proton stream at the marshmallow with the others following suit.

"Cross the streams!" Amethyst screamed.

"But that's dangerous!" Pearl cried.

"It's the only way we'll beat it!" Steven shouted.

The Crystal Gems crosses their proton streams together, which destroyed the marshmallow and sent it's remains all throughout the city. While that was happening, the ghost hunters fired their proton packs at the gate, which closed it for good. After that, Connie and Peridot were freed from their mind control. Steven and Connie were reunited and Peridot was reunited with everyone. The threat had been neutralized. The evil curse was lifted.

A week later, the Crystal Gems were hailed as heroes due to their efforts in keeping Empire City safe. They appeared at an assembly, where the citizens cheered them on.

"Remember," Steven said, "if you have a ghost in your house, we will take care of it!"

"And if you need an invisible man captured," Amethyst added, "we'll catch him!"

"We might even perform an exorcism!" Garnet noted.

"Now, who you gonna call?!" Pearl asked the audience.

"The Gem Ghostbusters!" Everyone in the crowd cheered.

Note: Cue the Ghostbusters theme.

"I Want A New Drug" starts playing.

Amethyst: Wrong song, dude.

Me: Sorry.

The Ghostbusters theme starts playing.

There we go. I know that Halloween is over, but I've got to get this collection of parodies finished. Also, I added a fourth wall break for those who like it when the fourth wall is broken. What did you guys think about this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review or give a constructive criticism. Until next time guys, peace!
