Note: Let's face it, A Nightmare On Elm Street is one of those horror movie franchises that you can't help but think of when you think of Halloween. As such, I'm going to bring you a parody of it. So, get ready for one-liners. As a quick notice, the dreams will be told in italics. Okay, let's do this!

Bentley Raccoon was having a dream where he was playing baseball with his friends. Unbeknownst to the young boy, this dream would turn into a nightmare. As he threw the ball, Bentley heard an odd noise. Turning his head, he saw a man standing near the fence. This man was a chameleon wearing a bowler cap, a sweater, pants, and dress shoes. His expression had a sadistic feel to it.
"Hello there, boy." The chameleon spoke.
Bentley was surprised, due to having never seen this person before. However, that didn't seem to bother the chameleon.
"It's time to play ball, kid!" The psychotic lizard laughed as the palm of his right hand began to fill with fire. He then launched the fireball at Bentley, hitting the boy in the chest.
Bentley woke up with a jump, his nightmare proving to be frightening. As he sat up in his bed, he could feel something hot on his chest. Much to his surprise, his chest had soot on it. The boy was now frightened, having sworn that it was a part of his dream. Upon getting ready for the day, he discovered that the feeling would not go away. Something about the nightmare he had was going to spell bad news later on down the line.
As he walked through the Evergreen Forest on his way to his aunt and uncle's house, Bentley saw that Annie was sitting on a bench.
"Hi Bentley." Annie greeted.
"What's up?" Bentley asked.
"I had a bad dream last night." The female said.
"What was it about?" The male raccoon asked.
"I was just walking through my house until I saw that there were no doors." Annie told her story, "When I tried to find a way out, I saw a chameleon holding a scalpel. The moment I began to run, he grabbed me and said that no one would hear me scream. I woke up before he could do anything, but it felt so real."
"I had a dream like that," Bentley stated, "but the chameleon threw fireballs at me."
"I've seen him in my dreams as well." Cedric Sneer came near the two children, "He tried to burn me alive as he said some threatening one-liner."
"Maybe it's just a coincidence." Bentley suggested.
"Can we go to your family's house, Bentley?" Annie asked.
"Sure." The boy said.
While they were at the Raccoondominium, Cedric, Bentley, and Annie hung around Ralph and Melissa. Today was one of Bert's off days, as he was sleeping in. Unfortunately for the tall raccoon, today would be his last. As the other five entered, they heard loud snoring coming from Bert's room.
"Brother, does Bert always sleep like that?" Bentley asked.
"He must be going for a record!" Cedric joked.
"A record for being loud." Ralph chuckled.
"I wonder what he's dreaming about." Annie said.
"Probably a thunderstorm." Melissa guessed.
Bert was a cowboy in the dream he was having. He was riding a horse while other horses went by. In addition, there were no other cowboys in sight.
"Yee-haw!" Bert screamed at the top of his lungs.
However, a chameleon was riding another horse and he was swinging a lasso dangerously close to Bert.
"Ride 'em, cowboy!" The chameleon taunted.
"You're back?!" Bert screamed in horror.
"Indeed, I am!" The reptile smiled, "Let's see what else is in the noose!"
Bert then felt the rope tighten around his throat, causing him to scream and violently choke. There was no help in sight, not even from his friends.
Bert's screams disturbed Bentley, who rushed up the stairs to his friend's rescue. Behind him, Ralph, Melissa, Cedric, and Annie came up the stairs as well. By the time the door was opened, Bert had already been dead. An hour later, a paramedic was called. They took Bert's dead body out of the Raccoondominium and into the morgue. As that happened, Ralph, Melissa, and Cedric has terrified looks on their faces.
"Bert died in his sleep, didn't he?" Bentley asked.
"Yes," Ralph said, "and it's part of a conspiracy that has been around since we were kids."
"That chameleon you saw in your dreams was no ordinary chameleon," Cedric stated, "it was Leon Powalski."
"Who's that?" Annie asked.
"He was a janitor at Evergreen Elementary." Melissa sighed, "He also had a sick sense of humor. On certain days, the chameleon would even take us into the boiler room to talk to us about what he would say if he killed someone. He would even crack a morbid joke every now and then. One day, the boiler room had an accident and Leon was caught in it. When the adults refused to help him, he stated that they would pay with the blood of their children. He even said that he would get them in their dreams!"
"Is there any way we can stop him?" Bentley asked.
"Pretty much the only way you can stop him is to stay awake." Ralph warned.
"We'll try to." Annie said.
Bentley and Annie were back at Bentley's house, with Lisa watching over them. The two younger raccoons were drinking sodas while watching old horror movies. No matter what they did, they could feel themselves falling asleep.
"We can't stay awake forever." Annie yawned.
"Then I guess we'll have to fight Leon in our dreams." Bentley said as he fell asleep.
Bentley was walking through a field, with him looking around for the murderous chameleon that was planning to kill him. Out of nowhere, Leon appeared with a scythe.
"Don't fear the reaper!" Leon taunted.
"I don't," Bentley shouted, "and I'm not afraid of you!"
"You will be!" The chameleon glared.
Leon then grew to a massive size, towering over Bentley. The raccoon had no time to waste, so he ran off, leading his attacker to a trap. Near the trap were Lisa and Annie.
"What are you guys doing here?" Bentley asked.
"We fell asleep too!" Annie cried.
"All three of us are going to die!" Lisa yelled.
"I think that my trap will say otherwise!" Bentley smiled.
Leon walked towards the three raccoons, intent on killing them.
"Any last words?!" The enormous chameleon laughed.
"You just walked into a trap!" Annie confidently yelled.
Leon then fell into a massive trap hole, which was filled with lava. However, the chameleon was not done, as he climbed up the hole and launched his tongue at Bentley. Fortunately, Lisa got an axe and chopped his tongue off. Now that Leon was without a tongue, Lisa, Bentley, and Annie pushed him back into the trap hole. Now that he was gone, the three could now live in peace.
Upon waking up in the morning, Bentley saw that Lisa and Annie had left the room. When he went downstairs, he saw that they were sitting in the doorstep. Much to his surprise, Leon Powalski was now in reality.
"Didn't we beat you in our dreams?" Bentley asked.
"Of course, you did." Leon chuckled, "However, you brought me back to life! Now that I'm back, I'm going back to your school! See you at school!"
"Oh boy." Annie groaned.
"This will be scary." Bentley said.
Note: Generally speaking, Leon Powalski would make a good Freddy Krueger, right? I'm not sure what I should do with Wolf, though. Considering how he'll be the antagonist in the final chapter, what role do you think he should do? What did you guys think about this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review or give a constructive criticism. Until next time guys, peace!
