Beneath the tunnels
A remaining survivors walk into the domain of the tunnels.
"You sure they won't find us?". Nate feared.
"It's our temporary hideout. We won't be staying in here for long". Iris assures the legends.
"I don't think asking a ton of questions isn't gonna aid us anything other than anger". Nate goes into a more simpler question. "What happened to Barry?".
"Don't know. That's what gets me worried". Iris fears for her dying husband.
The tension stands silent till a noise peered from Sara, who leaned on the walls. This got the team to appear in front of the latter. "What happened?. Sara rubs her head.
"You were down. By Oliver". That name got Sara to open her eyes.
"Oliver. I have to...". Sara grunts over the pain in the gut she felt from her recent fight.
"You can't go in there going all heroic while your heavily injured", Ralph interjected.
"You don't know who I am do you". Everyone is feared over Sara's temper on Ralph. When she gets mad then that's a whole other side.
"Let's all calm down", Ray intervened not wanting to witness Sara's rage, for another millionth time. The duo agreed laying their hands away from one another. "Where's Jefferson and Martein?".
"No one knows where they are after...". Caitlin emerged from the shadows, along with Cisco. "You know". Reminding Ray and the Legends of every hero's civilian persona outed to the world.
"Cisco? Caitlin? Where have you two been?", Iris demands bitterly.
"We went to S.T.A.R. Labs to look for any sources we could use to help us. And researched over two samples. One from them. And Barry".
"Wait...what happened to Barry to costed you two to sneak into your lab to do test runs", Ray tuned in to their little adventure.
"So Oliver infected Barry with a dose that we can't tell what it is. Whatever it is, it's poisoning Barry every time he uses his speed. This substance is all from another planet".
"So I...I can't use... my...my speed?", Barry asks groaning over the pain in his body. Cisco though hesitant nods. Iris tries to comfort him but to no avail did it work for the both of them.
"What have I done?". The Legends were confused as to why Barry is blaming himself.
"It's not your fault Barry. You didn't predict Oliver to turn into this".
"What did you do Barry?", Sara seems resilient into knowing what really got Barry turned into this.
Barry sighs but nonetheless explains on what got Oliver into his own mess much to Iris's unnerve. "So remember when the government outed all of our identities as our own egos?". The squad nodded. "Ever since my identity revealed in the outsider, the President would threaten Iris if I ever returned to being the Flash. Especially if I ever interacted with any of our allies either from our team or another city".
"Cause that son of a bitch had Superman in his fingertips. Well shouldn't be surprised at what choice Clark made since his wife was kinda being held hostage", Sara points out".
"Well Batman, as you know, isn't the type to listen. He thrusted a sword at the man who has the Man of Steel and an army". The Legends were shocked at Cisco but the team did agree with it."Hasn't been seen for a while since that brutal encounter".
"I still don't get it what does the President's shit have anything to with Oliver turning into a monster". Sara tilts her head to Barry, remanding answers.
"I abandoned him. He was all alone. No team. No Diggle. No Felicity. He had to deal with the darkness of Star City by himself. Kara would've helped but because of her identity revealed, she was feared of what might happen to her friends if she continues with her crusade. Apparently Diaz had full-control over the SCPD, the locals. The citizens. Even the Mayor, who...", he couldn't complete his sentence as he just took a blow to the face by Sara.
Sara couldn't afford to hear another line from him. She was clearly pissed. If she would still be there. In Star City. Then maybe she could've found a way to help Oliver. Even if Clark would always be there to put a stop in some pointless months.
"What's our next phase?", Sara asks. Sadness in her tone.
The team briefs on travelling all the way to Star City. Though they'll need a vehicle. Star City is a bit far from Central City. Their next stage is looking for a vehicle. Their reasons for moving to Star City is looking for any surviving members of the Outsiders.
