If anyone was to drive on road from Central City to Star City, fear would be a considerate thing. Star City is a dark place for anyone to handle. Criminals. Drug addicts. Psychopaths. It's all too common in there. But when there's a situation where a planet's invaded, fear gets more tense. Nobody wants to get infected. Everyone would panic. Lose control over their reactions. A lot of crazy things people. The team, whom have equipped themselves with a van are driving straight for Star City. To look for any remaining survivors they've come to grew common with. The only plan for them is to build an army. Losing or surrendering isn't an option. Earth belongs to them. And their going to do whatever it takes to take it back even if they lose themselves in this war. Sacrifices are sacrifices in war.
Star City
Took the gang over 10 hours to reach Star City. Since fuel is limited in use for vans. The'd have to refuel it back to full health. They were lucky to stock up some fuel tanks in case an occasion occurred when their van stops in the middle of a road. Now they're here. If it was Barry, with speed, he could travel in seconds. Either way they've made it.
Sara points to a known area where the Arrow Bunker is. Just then dead souls arise from the ground like their bodies woke instantly without any host in them.
"Ray move it!". Ray tried to rev up the engines but they're not responding, prompting the team to take off.
"Over there!", Sara charges on her exact points. The team slowed a few paces in every route they cross due to the apocalypse. "We're surrounded!".
Deceased pests covering every side, surrounding them like they're covering a circle with dotted lines shifting to the sides of it.
Everyone's ready to take it all out.
Iris wields a rifle. Being the cover for the weakened Barry much to the latter's displeasure.
Cisco and Caitlin stand side by side. Together. Not leaving their side till their deaths. They targets are aimed. Many would say to make every shot count. In this case, there's no missing. Not ever. Not ever again.
Ralph, Nate and Amaya are stanced in their positions.
Ray stays behind Sara, whom the latter holds 2 guns.
The battle commenced. The outcome's bested for the monsters. An army overpowers a group. But the League can hold their own.
It wasn't just zombies, mutated-flies, bugs and all those other living things. A giant beast rises before them. Ray would scream in his sleep if he's ever up against that. This thing is so bulkier. It's not struggling with any limps. He holds a giant axe ingrained with dark fire.
"Any idea how we can stop that hideous looking specimen", Ray points though he already knows the answer. Nobody knows.
"It's now or never!". Sara yelled. Fair-minded it is now or never. Both sides are about clash but a grenade confuses the crew. Not sure whether it's thrown for them or them. That weapon was thrown the living-dead. Burst of explosions created an opening path for the team to exit their fine path.
"What was that?", Nate asks on behalf of their fine escape.
"No time! Move it!. The team runs as fast as they could. Even taking short cuts even if there are the chances of corpses mounting on. The team will zap it away.
One dead individual surprised them from a jump, holding Ray like he's hugging him. Sara pulls the latter away and be begot to gunning him down. More appeared from the crew's next exit but Sara shot a whole lot of them down like pancakes.
When they headed for the exit, a figure appeared in front. Sara was about to steady her gun in quick space but her eyes got moulded over seeing an old friend. John Diggle.
"Come on! Let's ago". Diggle gestures the team to follow him through the alleys. Took them approximately 5 minutes. Other than that, reached their last stop.
Star City
Arrow Bunker
In a room piled of rocks, the team, with John, steps foot in a messy area.
"You know I'm really surprised most of you actually survived from this catastrophe". Something John respects.
Seconds later, the whole of Team Outsiders lit themselves from the shadows. Felicity, with a broken arm. Rene, multiple bruises, and a broken leg. Dinah, severely bruised. Curtis, mostly bruised on every part of his body.
The whole squad reunites in the Arrow Bunker. Savouring the explanation for their worries later.
"We've heard reports that Oliver and Kara are terrorising multiple cities. Turning civilians into coldless blood thirsting monsters. We were pretty augmented at how far this went". Diggle explains his share of news.
"Oliver crossed a line. He's fucking done it. Knew deep down he's not a hero. Just a weakling". Rene expresses his hate for the man of bow and arrows.
"You're talking about someone who trained you to be a better fighter. Who saved your ass". Sara breaks. "Can't you at least sympathise how much he's gone through. He saved you and your allies from Lian Yu's destruction. Even risked his civilian persona to you lot who were strangers to him before". Sara was dissapointed. When she heard Oliver went through a breaking point of choosing two options: William or Team Arrow. The choice was so hard. Prometheus mentally broke him but he probably didn't notice this mentality would evolve Oliver to being the darkest villain ever.
Sara walks away but a bump to a chest said otherwise. Lyra was there.
"I've got my men ready for transportation. Whenever you're ready", Lyra speaks for all which they all nod.
Before they take their leave, the group stock up any remaining working-goods, from the bunker, that will do well for them in the future.
A few minutes later...
A few vans being parked in place, awaited for more people to come inside.
Current survivors of Team Flash, Team Arrow and Team Legends, along with Lyla exit the Arrow Bunker. Given how much time they had is rare.
"Wait before we proceed with our transportation to our quarantine zone, we need to be sure that are signs of infections in you", Lyla addresses sadly as she doesn't want to treat her friends like their human slaves ready to be shot out any second. It'd be time-wasting but it is a necessary protocol for the safety of everyone on board. A.R.G.U.S. Agents employ Tomography on each individual for rare signs. Took them almost 2 minutes but other than there's no tension.
"We need to move. Now!". Sara labels which Lyla respectfully nods.
Everyone gets on board in every A.R.G.U.S. Van, prepared for takeoff.
In one of the A.R.G.U.S. Vans
A few armed men, Sara, Ray, Felicity, John and Lyla in one van.
"So where we heading to?", Sara asks Lyla.
"A zone where everyone who's not infected with that virus is set in", Lyla answers to keep her allies comfy for their destination. "We've taken some records of detection when we shot a few infected down. Whoever is infected with the same virus unfortunately gets put down". Anyone could've went against this procedure but since there's no cure this is the only way for them to survive for who knows how long.
"You were right about before John". Felicity said straightforward even so John was confused at what she's talking about. "About Oliver. You were right. No matter how hard we try, Oliver will always choose the dark path". Felicity exacts her point clearly.
Sara heard it but she will always be against it. Other than putting her full-attention on Felicity for an argue, she focuses her sight on Ray. "Mind telling me about what happened with Oliver?". A question Ray was stabilised at. "You mentioned before that this isn't the first he's gone rogue. So obviously you witnessed it, something I didn't learn from before".
Ray was hesitant but knowing Sara's look, he has to. "So apparently during Oliver's subsequent terror, you were you know...". Sara noticed that so it may had been the time of her death. "So when the team found out about your death, they were pretty hurdled over it. They struggled to even real to SCPD Captain Lance, you're father. Eventually Laurel revealed this case to him causing him to gain bigger grudges on the Arrow. When the League of Assassins captured Quentin, they disclosed the Arrow's identity to the man, making him hold more hatred and grudge. Even to the point that he got the whole SCPD force to hunt down Oliver". Sara can't believe she's actually hearing this now. For all this time. Laurel never told her about Oliver being hold as public enemy number 1. Ray continued. "You know Oliver, what he does. He'd sacrifice anything in hopes of keeping his allies safe. So he gave himself up in Starling City Police Department".
Flashback
2015
Starling City
Oliver, in handcuffs. Quentin in front of him, on sight. Both oppositions in a van. Followed by hundreds of vehicles. Transporting Oliver to the worst prison he'll be rottinf ro his life.
"Well was it worth it. A lot of pain and misery you brought back from that island?". Quentin polls. Pretty pissed at Oliver
"I came back from that island to save the city".
"Hate to break it to you Queen but saving people people isn't your speciality". Quentin doubts. "Merlyn. Slade. Now Ra's. You brought these demons upon us. Your encounters with them led to the dangers of everyone in this city. Tommy. Moira. Now my daughter, Sara". Strengthening his point.
"I loved your daughter with m-". Quentin slaps Oliver, whom tried to endure but the pain in the heart said otherwise.
"You don't have the right to say a word about my family", Quentin, disgruntled over the man who took everything from him. Oliver was responsible. His crusade led to a total meltdown of everything.
"This is where you belong Queen. In prison. Where there lies demons you've put in your past 2 years of crusade".
Oliver breaks down. He's broken. So broken that everything in him shattered into bits and pieces. He melts in awe. A part of him is glad that the team interfered but this is where it all began.
The scene between Oliver and Quentin shakes like an Earthquake. Quentin was about to oppose on Oliver when he reasoned that he didn't. Quentin steps out of the vehicle only to see the Arrow jump on the top of their vehicle, then down.
"Oliver is innocent. He's not the Arrow". The man in the hood surrenders himself, surrounded by the police with guns on his head. "I am the Arrow". The man pulls out his hood. Revealed to himself as Roy Harper.
This moment shocked Oliver. He couldn't believe it. Roy's sacrificing himself to give the best side for his friend.
Roy briefly swipes his head over to the skies, sighting over a figure in blue and red attire. Supergirl. Roy nods letting the latter know everything will be okay. That she could still continue to be with her boyfriend.
On Oliver's perspective, he refuses to let one of his allies get sold to their own death.
A few hours later... (Flashback)
Roy Harper was reported to be deceased. Oliver broke down after failing to rescue his ally. He could've saved him but all his belongings were seized over SCPD, by Quentin Lance. Though there was no information revealing the Arrow's true persona to be Oliver, Quentin still believes he is, and will do whatever he could, even going through all his known areas he's most hung up on.
When Quentin discloses a note to Thea that Roy is dead, she broke down. Even going as far as leaving Starling City for good.
When Oliver learnt that Thea left him all alone in Starling City. He mentally broke. He's human side broke. Team Arrow tried to comfort him but he was far from coming back to his normal self. Darkness rises in him. Even as far as going to transferring his soul to the devil. He lost Tommy. He lost his mother. He lost his close friend, Sara. He lost an ally, whom was a good friend to him.
Supergirl tried being there for him but Oliver shoves that tenderness like a cat.
Since there was nothing that he could replenish in his good beating heart, Oliver have himself up to the League of Assassins.
Present (Sara and Ray)
Ray explained pretty much the whole story on how the darkness awakened in Oliver. Sara pained over Oliver, broken like an egg that cracked. "Spent 3 weeks in Nanda Parbat. After the passing, he launched an invasion on Starling City. Killed a lot of people that day. Even Diggle and Felicity soon left him regardless of Oliver regaining his sanity thanks to Kara's help. Still didn't bring back his allies to the team".
Sara phases her head down. 'Seems even you couldn't endure this pain. Got a bit too much for you has't in Ollie'.
In another A.R.G.U.S. Van
Where Barry, Iris, Cisco and Caitlin and armed agents are placed in.
"You okay?", Iris worried over her husband, whom the latter is leaning on.
"I feel...like the whole is... spinning", Barry described. Making Iris more concerned. She's even more worried whether he'll make it or not in this invasion.
After describing his situation, Barry droves off to sleep. His heart beats but his head's still not in good shape.
Iris, whom focused her sight on Barry, turns to Cisco and Caitlin. "Do you two reckon there's even a cure?". The duo nods their head in horizontal line meaning there possibly ain't any. Whatever is inside Barry, is breaking up all the freedom Barry had in him. Iris's sight moves to Cisco for a question. "Cisco is your powers working on your trick to breach another Earth?".
"I've tried doing that a million times. Something's interfering with my ability to cross over another Earth. Like some kind of force that'd shrink every shrink I try to dart". Cisco explained in a struggled manner. Something Caitlin and Iris can relate with the rest of their struggles they're facing though not similar.
In another A.R.G.U.S. Van
Where Nate, Amaya, Rene, Dinah and Curtis sit silently.
Nate notices Amaya's depressed look, forging the latter to express his concern. "What's wrong?".
Amaya heard it. Draws a breath and confesses, "I miss Mick and Zari". Nate felt the same. Damian Darhk killed them in from their past few missions.
"How could Damian Darhk still be alive? Green Arrow killed him 3 years ago", Curtis said. Addled over Damian's status of life.
"Resurrection". One word was enough for Nate to simplify. Trio didn't get too surprised considering their current situation. "I heard you three used to work for him".
"Used to. But Oliver's tactics on his crusade have been more brutal than ever". Curtis remarked. "I thought he was the real hero Star City needed but I was wrong. I was so shocked to hear what he did that tempted his allies to leave him. That man, Oliver Queen. He's the murderer who killed Quentin Lance in cold blood under Ra's' feet". Nate and Amaya didn't know what to say. What would Sara think about this. How will she react when she learns about her father's death taken from her best friend.
