A/N So here we are with the epilogue. This will be short but I hope you'll like it.

Disclaimer: For the last time I don't own Divergent!

Tobias POV

Finally. The trial was over and we won the case. Erudite and their Mafia ties with Coulter were exposed. The case went on for two months. Those two months were very stressful on each and every one of us but in the end those efforts were worth it.

Jeanine was found guilty for all the accusations placed on her. Including planning the death of Andrew and Natalie Prior. The hardest part of the trial for Tris was seeing her brother being taken away although he was guilty family is family and no matter how much you hate them deep down you know you care at least a little bit about them.

The FBI was also brought on the case as they were behind Coulter's gang for a long time now and they finally found a lot of evidence to get him arrested. It is reported that he will have a trial soon too. Almost all of his associates were taken into custody.

Tris still looked a bit down though so I decided to take her on a date today and I today is also the day I'm finally going to tell my feelings to her. I only hope it doesn't scare her away or I'll screw up the best thing that has ever happened to me.

-Page Break-

I nervously knock on the door to Tris' house. After a few seconds she opens the door and my jaw drops. She looks as beautiful as ever in a simple black jeans, cream coloured sweater and her hair falling down her back in waves.

She smiles at me then snapping me out of my daze. I quickly close my mouth and say, "Hey Tris. You-um…you look beautiful."

I mentally slap myself. But she just laughs and says, "Thank you Tobias, you look great, also where are we going?" I smirk and reply, "That's for me to know and for you to find out."

With that we head out and step into the car. Me opening her door for her. We drive in a comfortable silence with the radio playing softly in the background. She asks where we are going but heck if I'm giving anything away.

I stop at edge of the park. She jokingly says, "Are you sure you didn't bring me here to murder me?"

I reply, "I wouldn't even have the guts to think about kidnapping you let alone murder you." And it's true. If you've seen her with a knife in her hands you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Boy she looks really badass while fighting. She just rolls her eyes and holds my hand lacing her fingers with mine and tells me to lead the way.

I lead the way to one of my favourite spots in the whole city. The Chasm. I found it once when I was roaming the city and since then I always come back whenever I need to think.

I watch her face as she watches the picnic I set up for us. Her whole face lights up with a huge smile which makes me smile too. I softly ask, "Do you like it?"

She turns to look at me and says, "Of course. It's beautiful Tobias. But how did you find it?"

I sheepishly look at her and say, "Well I found it one day when I was roaming around. I don't think anybody even knows that it exists. Since then I always come here when I want to think. Come on now that food isn't going to eat itself you know."

She rolls her eyes but follows me on the blanket. We eat, kiss and talk. Not necessarily in that order but we have a great time just talking about random stuff and forgetting all the troubles of the world outside.

Once the food is finished and we sit looking at the stars in silence. I turn towards her she looks so beautiful in the moonlight. I could spend every day like this just looking at her. Suddenly as if sensing my gaze she turns to look at me. Her eyes curious. This is it. I take a deep breath and take her hand in mine and start speaking, "Tris I know we haven't been together for a long time but whatever time I spent with you as confirmed one thing for me. I think I knew it all along but now I'm sure of it Tris." I pause and take a breath smiling at her before continuing, "I- I love you Tris." I don't dare to meet her eyes.

After a moment I finally look at her. She looks shocked. My heart breaks and I look down before speaking, "I-I'm sorry. I know it was too soon. I just wanted to let you know. I'll understand if you don't want to be with me an-"

I'm cut off by the feeling of familiar warm lips on mine. This kiss isn't fast or heated instead it's gentle, slow and full of love. It feels like coming home. After a few more moments she pulls away and looks me in the eyes saying, "I love you too Tobias."

I look at her shocked. Did she really say that? No. She can't have, could she? I ask her to repeat that just to make sure I'm not dreaming I say, "Say that again."

She laughs before replying, "I said I love you Tobias and nothing you say is going to make me change that."

"Wouldn't want it to" I mutter before capturing her lips in another kiss and the rest of the night is spent the same way.

I now know one thing for sure. No matter what life brings me I can face it if I just have Tris beside me. She's my everything. And once again thank whatever brought us to meet in the café that day.
