Revolution of the Daleks
I heard a noise. It sounded like a vortex manipulator.
Continuing, I saw Captain Jack Harkness appearing to the right of mine. I was filled with adventurous spirit the instant I saw him again. He said „Now to the RIGHT one.". I felt dared to once again take him with me and travel with him through time and space in the T.A.R.D.I.S., but my conclusion to that decision had to wait.
I grinned at him with a few meanings, wanting to know what he did in between the last time I knew him and now. Had he brought his Torchwood team with him up into space? Was he really a dilettante now? Had the years taken a toll on him? Was he part of „The Alliance"? Had he become a lone scavenger? Had he had encounters with the „Lone Cyberman" or did he just hear tales of it in whatever space station, ship or planet he travelled with or stayed on/in? Had the Lone Cyberman had the intent of making him just a bit like him, only with residuing goodness and bisexual charm? Was he just a projection which had been created by the Master to lure me into false security?
Forcefully, an answer had to be created. For this, an answer had to be created, although, of course, it could only be created with Jack or with the projection willingly subjugate to this of course.
My mind pondered these thoughts (,) during, (,) and after Jack's appearance in nano-seconds.
„Hello, Captain Jack Harkness." I said. „What do you mean with this?" said he. „I must find out whether you are an illusion created by the Master or whether you are the true Jack Harkness, my old friend. Answer me this : Did you or did you not want to engage with Donna Noble, Earthling, the Meta-Crisis Doctor and me, the real Doctor engage in the „threesome"-positon of sexual intercourse?". He said: „I did. . . . But you're kidding, right?" „Yeah", I said. „The good news is : I AM the Doctor, not another person or companion, nor duplicate. So, on to the important business, did you plan to get me out of here or were you imprisoned with me?" He was about to tell me the answer, but I interrupted.
„I have more QUESTIONS to ask. Did you arrive in this prison cell armed? Could you interject the safety precautions of this space station or were you imprisoned here with me?."
„I came here to rescue you, I swear. I'm a lone scavenger now and not part of „The Alliance". I'm conning them at the moment. My team and I were trespassing through time and space in order to make a deal with the Judoon. A residual archipelago of the hospital from the „Judoon-Moon-Incident" fell from the sky and crashed onto the Torchwood complex in America, which we had built and inhabited due to there not being an incident possible in Britain, due to the fact ouf our so-called „Grand Victory" in 2009. It crashed and killed one of our members, who was called Ianto. We had eliminated and exterminated any possibility of supernatural and alien attack in Great Britain and the entire world, except for America. There were also some boulders which were falling from the sky onto other houses, which raised suspicion of alien incursions in the public. Because we only had theories for the cause of this, we were frustratingly unsettled. So we had to take charge and lead Torchwood into space. At first ((used)), there wasn't any occurence apart from the fact that we were relatively excited about being in space, though the relativity was a bit struggling /strained due to the fact that we had amends to make to (2) /grieve about Ianto. Between Pluto and the next Solar System we were attacked by a Cyberman brigade. They had us outnumbered. Although a certain female Scottish member of my team could escape with only a few stretches, the others were heavily injured. We witnessed them teleporting to another place or another ship. We didn't know which one. All we knew was them mastering teleportation, which was frightening in itself. Fortunately, none of my team had been made physically disabled due to the battle."
Jack was beginning to sweat while saying this.
„Due to that course of action we knew we had to inform ourselves about the technology of the Cybermen. Being outnumbered shouldn't be the case in the future, so we decided to connect ourselves to a space force. We went to a bar in space, which I knew and have been there. Yes, it was destroyed by the Cybermen."
„We got hired by a group of mercenaries, who called themselves „The Accolytes". We travelled with them through space, only through space, because they couldn't travel through time. It used warp-shunt technology. Fortunately, we got boarded by a Cybermen ship. In it's dark, grey corridors we got escorted by Cybermen to their personal leader, the Lone Cyberman."
„He told us the Doctor gave him the „Cyberium", a powerful Cyber-Substance, with which help the Cybermen could convert every single being in the Universe into Cybermen, and helps them to travel through time."
„ He said he got it from you, and told us the Cyberium got sent to the „Villa Diodati", the home of Mary Shelley, a place where you incidentally were. Saying he used to be called Ajax, and wanting the Cyberium all along."
„I thought I should stop that and bring you a warning. Unfortunately, he didn't tell us how he could teleport. That incumbence was a major gap in our plan. I also couldn't use my power to trick him into shooting me, because he knew I couldn't die, because he knew about the „Bad Wolf"-thing, because, he told us (as he told us), the Master told him about the T.A.R.D.I.S.'s capabilities. I figured he learned the teleportation abilities from the Judoon."
„Signified by the use of the Cybermen's electrical bolts, we couldn't fight our way out of this situation and we had to diplomatically make a deal with the Cybermen. We told them to help them and the Master to convert every single living being into Cybermen. Quickly having gotten released, we got our first task, which consisted of tricking you into thinking you could defeat us. I teleported to a ship, which had been harbored by the Cybermen and the rest was history. I and you know you had a gut feeling I, tragically, had to lie a trap for you."
„Diplomatically having been aligned with procrastination, the Torchwood team had been arresting every single chance of dealing with the aftermath of the Judoon incident, because we were head-long into paperwork over recent developments, which still concerned our overfootedly new team."
„After the nanogenes materialised me out of the ship, I figured the Doctor might be incinerated. The Cybermen implanted a brain-inhibitor into my brain, which, according to the then-current knowledge of the Cybermen could be used to control my brain, and my emotions, so that I can't think that I like you, which is obviously good, because I am now able to outwit you, with the gentle UPGRADE the Cybermen gave me."
I was shocked to hear this news. The Sonic Screwdriver wouldn't work, I knew, because I know it is useless against the „Cyberium". Despair shot through my brain, my veins and the other parts of my body. How could all of this happen? This never was in my list of possibilities for what could happen. How did Captain Jack Harkness succumb to this „Cyberium"? Why couldn't his Torchwood team do nothing? What was Jack Harkness's name? I thought he wasn't the real Jack Harkness, because he was a forced Royal Air Force volunteer, who had to adopt the identity of someone, because he wasn't in his century. (the 51st century). Inventing a different name than from the persons who really existed in the time period would be catastrophical to world events, ((and might possibly screw up Captain Jack Harkness's own history)). Could I possibly find any evidence in the archives of the Boeshane Peninsula in the 51st Century of any lineage which might have doomed him pre-coicous? I knew I had to blissfully succumb in order of saving anything.
„I will succumb and use my abilities for the Cybermen to convert every being in the universe. Wise."
„And so it will be." Said the remains of Captain Jack.
„But first we must wait for a or Judoon to arrive and you have to strike him down so we can open the door and deactivate the anti-dematerialisation (precaution protection) safety precautions."
There was a break.
„Because I will give myself up to the Cybermen, I demand to know. How did Captain Jack Harkness die? Had he had an honourable death?"
„He had an honorable death. He was strong in verbal argumentation and physical resistance until the end. He challenged my beliefs. He told me how in the end there was never hatred, only love."
„Great."
I laughed.
„Then I can live in peace now." The notion of Captain Jack Harkness having had an honourable death flipped my heartflaps, because I always wanted to know if Jack really WAS honourable. In my heart, I hoped so, and so in my mind. I expressed it to him, as I've written, shortly after the Master's defeat in 2008, before he told me he used to be called „the Face of Boe". I wanted to forgive him for all that he had done, because of the beautiful work he did with Torchwood. He wanted to stay there.
I never had the chance to tell him from the sincerity of my whole and combustive heart how great his decision was. He was never eradical (), nor was he ingenerous, incompetent, feeble, or insincere. I felt from the wholeness of my Time Lord-heart how he was a good man.
I love that in-joke for you and me.
„What are the Cyberman's plans for their empire."
„They shall spread the belief of knowledge, power, and ascension. The theory „Everything is possible" is correct and should be teached everywhere. We followed on the original path of science, applying probability. We thought and surmised that gods exist, because we have the ability to move and are alive. We further surmised that gods don't mean well, because they choose to let some people suffer and SOME people thrive."
„That is a good revelation. This even brings you into Time Lord territory of knowledge." I didn't say sarcastically.
„Did you get any further?"
„No."
Then, 7 Judoon came in through the door, marching. One of the seven, the head Judoon, was at the front. They didn't have black armor, white, but they did have orange helmets. Their plan to incinerate the Doctor was stopped dead in their tracks. They sighted Captain Jack Harkness's remains, and then thought that incineration wasn't an option, because I now meant a valuable relationship, because Captain Jack Harkness was a stranger to them, and it was only logical for them to create an alliance, despite the crimes I committed while working for „The Divison".
They then had a look of bewilderment on them, and you could see their history reflecting in their eyes, the astonishment at witnessing the Doctor with such a person in one room together. Then, they thought that we should be released immediately because of that.
What other thoughts they had in their mind during this mind, I couldn't say.
„Kho Tho Zjo Gho Wo."
This was an order from the leader of the Judoon, who had first infiltrated the prison cell. 4 of the Judoon stepped forward and tried to bind us in chains, while the head Judoon watched this, having decided to march us to the patriarch of the Judoon prison facility. Before they could bind us in chains, Captain Jack Harkness grabbed my hand with the hand of his which carried a Vortex Manipulator. We got carried through the Vortex. At this point, I should describe what it is like to be travelling through the time vortex with a Vortex Manipulator. You can see merely blackness. There is nothing else, not even sounds can infiltrate this space. I also strategically didn't yet describe where we ACTUALLY landed. We emerged in what I could recognize quickly after we landed as London, England. I could see, to my left hand-side, the Tower Bridge, and the Big Ben, and in front of me was the River Thames. It was the 20th or 21st century, judging by the electricity. It was night. We/I landed on the lead cybership of the lone cyberman.
( We could free ourselves using our mere strength, because the Cybermen weren't as strong as us, and we could stand a few electrical charges, due to our infliction with alien technology, and run through the ship to our ship. With me figuring out that the Cybermen's escape would have probably inevitably caused a war through time we used a device on our ship with which to break chains of significant strength)
