As Peeta and I walked to his house we heard a big explosion. We turned to see a building up in smoke. I ran towards the smoke and Peera followed. I ran until I got about one hundred yards away from the building. It wasn't just any building. It was the Hob. The place I have spent selling my game and buying the things I need is gone. All I can do is hold on to Peeta as we walk back to his house.
When we got back to Peeta's house he went upstairs to clear out a guest room for me to sleep in. I do not want to go home. I can't bear to see Gale hurt like that especially after what he did.
I had only been asleep for maybe two hours when I woke up screaming. The nightmares hadn't gone away and I see them every night.
"Katniss are you ok?" I hear Peeta say as he walks into the room.
"Yes. Just a nightmare," I say.
"Ok, well goodnight Katniss," he says.
"Peeta wait!" I say, "Stay with me?"
Peeta comes over and lays in bed with me.
"Yeah," he said. "Always."
I fell asleep with my head against Peeta's chest and his arms around me.
The next day I took Peeta to the woods with me. We walked to the fence and I started to go under when Peeta stopped me.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"I just…" he can't even finish his sentence. I can tell he is scared.
"Peeta," I say.
"What?" he answers.
"Together?" I say. It seems to calm him down.
"Together," he answers and we both go under the fence.
We spent the whole day out in the woods. I hunted and gathered berries. Peeta mostly just watched but it was great to spend time with him alone without anyone watching us.
When we finally went back I found Gale's family in my kitchen. Gale was doing better but still had to stay at my house. I couldn't stay there so I went back to Peeta's.
