On the train, Peeta doesn't say anything for the first few hours. He just sat there and looked out the window. Effie couldn't even cheer him up. He doesn't speak until we go to our room.

"Why did he take my place?" he asked with anger in his voice.

"He did it to protect you," I say, trying to calm him down.

"I needed to go in there to protect you," he said. He started to walk away.

"Peeta wait!" I say. "He did it so that maybe I could come back. He did it so that we could possibly both be parents together!"

That seems to have an affect on him. He turns back at me and walks over to where I am standing and hugs me.

"I'm sorry Katniss. I just don't want you to get killed."

"Haymitch will protect me. You can get me sponsors and send me things."

Our hug ends there and we both lean in and kiss.

*The next day*

I woke up and Peeta was still in bed with me.

"I didn't want to wake you," he says.

We both got up, got dressed and headed to the dining car for breakfast. There we found a hungover Haymitch and Effie in a ridiculous dress and a very shiny gold wig. When we sat down to eat Effie pulled out two black boxes and handed them to Haymitch and Peeta. Inside the boxes was a gold bracelet and Peeta's had a gold medallion as well.

"What is this?" Haymicth said, obviously annoyed.

"It's your token. Katniss has her gold mockingjay pin, I have my hair, and you boys have gold bracelets and Peeta has an extra medallion," she says.

"Cool Effie," Peeta says. "Thank you."

Just then the Capitol came into view and soon we were pulling up into the train station where reporters were everywhere. It's time for my second round of the Hunger Games.
