Haymitch went off on his own. He knows who he wants as allies. I go over to the fire building station because I never did well on making fires and I needed more practice. The person working the station gives me materials and lets me try to make the fire. When I have successfully made a fire I look up to see two people struggling to start a fire. I recognize them as Beetee and Wiress from District 3.

I walk over to them. Beetee is attempting to make a fire by turning a stick on a log. HIs hands are obviously not going fast enough.

"You need to move your hands down and faster," I say.

"He looks confused so I take the stick and demonstrate. He then takes it back and tries what I showed him. Smoke forms and then a flame.

"Thank you," he says.

We talk for a while and I teach them more about fires and other things. I really like these two. Wiress is a bit off. She starts sentences and then stops and you have to fill in the rest. She is smart though. Very smart.

I spent the rest of the day training with the other tributes who invited me to train with them. None of them had a good impression on me like Beetee and Wiress.

Back at the penthouse Haymitch asked me if I decided on allies yet.

"No," I say.

"Why not? What about Finnick or Chaff or Johanna?" he asks.

"I don't want them," I say.

"Well I do."

"Then consider me not your ally."

"FIne. If you promise to pick some, I will let you choose our allies."

"Deal," I say and I go to my room where Peeta is waiting for me.

I haven't seen Peeta much since we've been in the Capitol. I've been preparing to go back into the arena and he has been trying to get me sponsors for when the Games start.

*the next day*

I'm walking through the training center and the other tributes training. Cashmere and Gloss are throwing spears and Johanna is naked again and is wrestling a worker.

I look over and see the old lady Mags making a fish hook. It is beautiful.

"I love your fish hook," I say as a Iwalk over.

"Thank you," she says.

"If you teach me how to make one of those I can show you how to hunt," I say.

She accepts and I go over to the archery station.

"Do you want to do it with me?" I ask.

She shakes her head and I start shooting at the targets. After a while the worker starts throwing things up in the air for me to shoot. I shoot for almost twenty minutes before I realize that the training center went quiet. I look behind me to see that everyone is gathered at the archery station watching me.
