Back at the penthouse Effie was going crazy.

"Why on Earth would you say that Peeta? Do you know what will happen now?" she says frantically.

"All I did was tell the truth!" Peeta yells back.

"What? What on Earth are you talking about. You two didn't get married," she says.

"Yes we did," I say. "Haymitch you were there. Tell her." Haymitch just looks down at his feet.

"Haymitch did they really get married?" Effie asks.

"They are telling the truth," he says quietly. "I was there to witness it."

"And the baby?" she asks frantically.

"Yes it's true," I say. "I am pregnant."

This throws Effie completely off. She starts crying.

"I can't believe you two would do this," she says. "Why would you try to have a baby?"

"We didn't mean for this to happen." Peeta says. "It was an accident."

Peeta and I go back to our room after Cinna comes and confirms that the Games are still on. Tomorrow I have to go into that arena and I might not come back alive. I don't even have good allies besides Haymitch. I am going to die in there.

Peeta lays down beside me and I start to cry.

"Katniss it will be ok," he says.

"No it won't Peeta. I might die in there," I say.

"Don't think like that. You are strong and brave. You can do this," he says trying to comfort me. I wrap my arms around him and don't let go.

"I can't lose you," I say.

"You won't lose me. I will be here waiting for you when you win," he says.

I love Peeta. Snow is trying to punish me for not loving him in the first Games. I love him so much now and we are supposed to be parents.

I don't say another word for the rest of the night. I just laid there and held on to Peeta. He kissed me on the head before I fell asleep. The last thing I heard before sleep took over was Peeta's soft voice.

"I love you Katniss."
