"Run!" I scream. Finnic doesn't even question it. He grabs Mags and starts to run. Haymitch didn't start running until he saw the fog.

"Get to the beach!" Finnick yells back at us.

Haymitch and I run as fast as we can, trying to catch up with Finnick. We are fast but with all the branches and sticks we are slowed down. The fog closes in on us and it sends pain all throughout my back. We are about ten yards from the beach when I fall down a small hill. I can't stand up. My legs are twitching uncontrollably.

"Finnick!" I hear Haymitch yell. "We need help!"

The fog is closing in on us. Finnick finally comes back.

"I can't carry her," I hear Haymitch say. He has panic in his voice. He must have also been hit with the fog.

With my blurry vision I see Mags climb off of Finnick and I see her give Finnick a kiss on the head. With that she walks directly into the fog and the cannon goes off. Mags is dead.

I feel someone grab me and I am carried and put down onto the beach. With my partial vision I see the fog disappear as it reaches the beach. Now it's gone.

It takes all my strength to roll over onto my stomach. Finnick and Haymitch have collapsed near me. I am close to the water. Maybe only three feet away. With all my might I pull myself over to the water and put my hand in. I scream as the water burns on the lumps all over my hand from the fog. After the burn though, I feel relief and rub my hand. The lumps disappear.

"The water," I choke out. "The water helps."

Haymitch hears me and with his whole body twitching, he makes it into the water. I crawl in and begin to rid my body of the painful lumps that cover my body. The twitching finally stops and I can walk again.

When Haymitch and I are strong enough we drag an unresponsive Finnick into the water. He yells at the initial touch of the water but then sighs a sigh of relief as we rub his lumps and they disappear.

With my body now rid of the painful lumps I go to a tree to get some water. As I am pushing the spile in the tree I hear Finnick say, "Katniss, slowly come back here."

I look up, and that's when I see the monkeys.
