Denki and I joined everyone, they all gave us compliments over our show, making us both smile.

I stood close to Denki, "What do you want to do?"

He shrugged, looking around, "Wanna dance?"

I chewed on my lip, feeling self-conscious, "I don't know."

He wrapped an arm around me, holding me close, "Come on, Mic is playing a good song."

I looked up at him, unsure if I wanted to, but I went against my instinct, "Okay, sure."

He smiled and I followed him to the dance floor. Deku and Ochako were dancing, even Kirishima and Jiro danced. I can dance too, no one is going to stare at me.

Denki held my hands as he started to move with the rhythm, I felt awkward trying to move with him. I wasn't sure what to do. I started to stumble and he spun me around, pressing me against his chest, wrapping his arms around me, "Here, move with me."

He led us, making me feel less uncomfortable. I heard him chuckle, "Man, take the mic away and you get so shy. You shouldn't, you have nothing to be self-conscious about. You are a great dancer."

He hugged me tighter, "But, I don't mind if this is how you prefer to dance, I like being close to you. It feels nice to have pressed against me." He sounded so flirty as he spoke

It hadn't even occurred to me we were pressed so tightly, my hips moving with his, his breath on my neck. I felt the blush and the nervousness.

I could see people looking at us, but, I don't care as much as I thought I would because I feel safe in his arms.

When the song ended, a slower song came on. Denki spun me back around, wrapping his arms around me. He's smooth. I almost didn't expect this.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and laid my head on his chest, this is nice. I didn't know dancing with someone other than my dad could be wonderful.

When the song ended, Denki smiled, "Okay, I'll give you a break. Want something to drink?"

I nodded.

He kissed my forehead and walked me to a table before he went to get us something to drink.

Mio sat beside me, "You and Denki were dancing pretty close. Close enough to make dad mad."

I let out a nervous laugh, "Yeah, I'm glad he's not here."

Denki came back and set a bottle of water in front of me, "This is the only thing I thought you'd want."

I smiled as I sipped on the water, "Thank you."

Mio sighed, "Man, this is boring."

I shrugged, "I'm having a good time."

"Hey," We heard Mineta, "Mio, I see you're here all alone, wanna dance?"

She rolled her eyes, "No. Go ask someone else."

Mineta pouted, "Fine," His eyes then fixated on me, "Maki, do you want to dance? Come on, you can't resist me."

Denki wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close, "Mineta, back away from my girlfriend." I almost started laughing at the look Denki gave him, I've never seen him glare like that.

Mineta backed off and looked back at Mio, "Come on, Mio, you're here by yourself, I'm here by myself, it's only natural."

Before she could say anything, Bakugo grabbed Mineta by the head, "Who said she's here by herself?!"

Mineta looked like he was about to pee his pants, "Bakugo! You're here with her?!"

He growled, "What's business is it of yours?"

Mineta was panicking, "I'm sorry, I'll leave her alone."

He pushed Mineta away, making him roll into a wall and sat beside her, "Fucking creep."

Mio laughed, "You just treated him like a bowling ball."

Bakugo shrugged as he kicked his feet up, leaning the chair back, "He should back off what isn't his."

Mio raised her brow, "Oh?"

Bakugo looked away, crossing his arms, "I was talking about Maki. She's with Denki."

I looked up at Denki, he looked irritated.

I raised my brow, "You okay?"

He squeezed me, "You're mine. I don't want that grubby grape head to hit on you again. I don't want anyone to hit on you."

I smiled, "It's okay. The only person I want hitting on me is you."

He nuzzled into my neck, "I'm glad you decided you wanted PDA, I don't think I could stop touching you if I wanted."

I squeezed his arm. My heart fluttered and I felt warm.

Mio grabbed my water, taking a sip, "I'm ready to go home, you?"

I shrugged, "I don't know, maybe in a bit."

Bakugo groaned, "I'm ready to get out of here."

She nodded, standing, "Alright, but you have to hang out until Maki or my dad is home."

Bakugo's brow went up, "Why?"

She shrugged, "Because I said so."

I gave her a quick hug as she left with Bakugo in tow.

Denki laughed lightly, "Bakugo is wrapped around her finger and I can guarantee he doesn't even realize it."

I smiled, "As long as she's happy."

"Why does she want him there until someone is home?"

I shrugged, "Neither one of us really like being home alone but it's worse for her. I don't think she's been there alone ever."

His brow went up, "Why?"

Before I could answer, Mina took Mio's seat, "Hey you guys."

I smiled at her, remembering what Denki said about them, "Hey, Mina."

They dated but it wasn't anything.

Momo and Tsu sat beside her. Tsu looked a little bored and Momo looked a little irritated.

Mina smiled like she was trying to contain something but she almost couldn't, "Couldn't help but notice how close you two were on the dancefloor."

I let out a nervous laugh.

I felt Denki's arms snake around my waist as he rested his chin on my shoulder, "Oh yeah, someone was feeling awkward so I thought dancing like that would make her feel better."

I felt the butterflies in my stomach.

Mina let out a squeal, "How long have you two been an item?"

I shrugged, "Not long."

Tsu smiled, "Good for you guys. I'm glad to see Denki happy."

Momo shrugged, "We'll see if this lasts long, longevity isn't Denki's strong suit in a relationship, I should know, he and I were together for a few weeks."

Mina rolled her eyes, "Momo, you can't say something like that."

She blinked, trying to seem innocent, "Why? I'm just saying what's true. You should know too, Mina, you were with him for a month."

I felt my smile fall.

Denki's arms around me loosened.

Mina sighed, "Momo, go, go talk to Ayoama or Sero, someone you can't insult."

She rolled her eyes and walked away.

Mina put a hand on my knee, "Maki, don't listen to her. She's just jealous she isn't with anyone."

Mina glanced back at Denki, "And you, don't listen to her either. You know Momo says things without thinking how they could affect someone. I'm happy for you guys and you make a very cute couple."

I faked a smile as she stood.

She sighed, "Alright, I'll leave you guys, I'm gonna go chew out Momo."

I watched and she and Tsu walked away.

Denki pulled away, "Why'd she have to say that?"

I shrugged, "Because she doesn't think. She's also the one who said you only missed me because you were failing."

He rolled his eyes, "I forgot about that."

I grabbed his hand, squeezing, "Do you want to dance again?"

He shook his head, "I think I'm out of a party mood."

I shrugged, "Well, do you want to go hang out somewhere we can be alone?"

He sighed and looked over at me, "I kind of want to go home."

I felt a frown form but nodded, "Okay, I can call Mio, she and Bakugo can come to get me."

He put a hand on my cheek, "I didn't say I want to go home alone, come with me. I don't think my parents are there, we can hang out in my room."

I blushed, alone in Denki's room, "Sure."

We walked out, hand in hand, and made our way to his house. The drive was quiet. I was slightly worried about him. What Momo said upset him.

We walked through the door and sure enough, it was dark and quiet.

I took off my boots and followed him, "Where are your parents?"

He shrugged, walking down the hall, "There's some late-night car show at a bar downtown and they wouldn't miss it."

I followed him into his room, I felt butterflies.

His room was clean, which I was surprised by, he didn't have much on his walls, a few floating shelves, a dartboard, a hat wrack, and a frame with a signed shirt. He had a dresser covered in lightning bolt stickers which made me smile, there was even one on the border of the TV, and a desk next to his bed, his computer also had a lightning bolt on it.

Denki took off his tie, tossing it in a basket, "Make yourself at home."

I sat awkwardly on his bed, I'm in his room, where he spends his free time, where he sleeps. Three years ago, when I first started to like him, I never thought this would happen.

Denki sat in his desk chair and he sighed, "I'm really sorry for what Momo said at the dance."

I shook my head, "You don't have to apologize, Momo is more of an airhead than people claim you are."

He gave me a slight smile, "That's sweet but she's right."

I raised my brow.

He sighed, "My longest relationship is only three months. I don't stay with a chick for long."

I shrugged, "So, what does it matter?"

He leaned forward, "I don't want you to think I'm going anywhere based on my dating history."

I shook my head, "I don't think you're going anywhere. I'm not the other girls you've dated and our relationship is different from the ones you had with those other girls."

He smiled and rolled closer, hugging me, "Maki… My Buzzy Beautiful Sunshine Nugget, why are you so great?"

I smiled, "My Pika-Pika, I had a great time dancing with you."

He pulled away, a smile on his face, "Me too," He leaned in, kissing me softly, "It feels nice for people to know you're mine too." He kissed me again, a little more forcefully.

I felt his arms around me and he lifted me, pushing me further on the bed. He climbed on top of me, kissing me lightly, "Is this okay?"

I nodded, wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

He smirked and kissed me again, moving to my cheeks and down to my neck.

It felt amazing. My heart was racing. His lips left a fiery tingle after every kiss.

I felt disappointment as he pulled away, rolling over next to me.

He covered his face and let out a groan.

I felt somewhat self-conscious and sat up, "I'm sorry if I did something wrong."

I heard him sigh as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me down to lay with him, "You didn't do anything wrong."

I buried my face in his chest, "Then why did you stop and you made an unhappy groan."

He squeezed me tightly, "I groaned because I had to stop."

I was confused, "Why?"

He sighed, "Because if I didn't I would've done something really uncool of me and you definitely aren't ready for."

I looked up at him, a deep blush over his cheeks, "Denki…"

He shook his head, "Maki, you look way too good in that dress, way too tempting, so, please, just lay here with me."

I laid my head on his chest. I could hear his heartbeat. I blushed, his heart is racing.

After a while, Denki took a deep breath, "Maki, you awake?"

I nodded, holding onto him tightly, "Yeah."

He sat up, bringing me with him, "Thank you."

I raised my brow, "For what?"

He sighed as he ran his fingers through my curls, "Being you."

Before I could say anything, his bedroom door opened and his mom came, "Denki, dear how was… oh, Maki, I didn't know you were here."

I pulled away from Denki, sitting on the edge of the bed, "Hello, Emi, how was your evening?"

She smiled, "Good, although I have a feeling it wasn't as good as your guys'."

I looked back at Denki who was shaking his head, then caught on to what she meant, I shook my head, "No, we weren't… we didn't… No, ma'am."

She let out a laugh, "I'll leave you guys, but, Denki, you know the door stays open."

He nodded, "Sorry mom."

She giggled as she walked out.

I slouched, feeling a bit drained, "Denki…"

He sighed, sliding off the bed, "I'll get you home, I'm sure that blew your battery to bits."

I said goodbye to his parents and followed him out, "I like your parents."

He raised a brow, "Really?"

I nodded, relaxing in my seat, "They're funny."

He smiled, taking my hand, "I had a good time tonight."

I squeezed his hand, "I did too. I wouldn't mind hanging out at your house more."

He seemed surprised but nodded, "I'd like that."

Bakugo was still at the house when we got there, Denki walked me in, and I was surprised at what we saw.

Mio and Bakugo were passed out on the couch, Bakugo sitting by the arm and Mio curled up next to him, she was tucked under his arm.

I took out my phone to take a picture but Denki swiped my phone, "Don't you dare."

I pouted, "Why?"

He shrugged, "They will both kill you and I really don't want to have to fight Bakugo, I'll do it if I have to but I don't want to have to."

I sighed, "Fine, I'll go to my room to leave them be."

He handed me back my phone before kissing me, "Behave. I'll text you later."

I nodded, trudging to my room as he left. Party pooper.
