The day of our semester exam came, we're supposed to take it after lunch, and Momo had decided to donate a trip to her parents' ski lodge. Anyone who passes the exam gets to go.

Denki was a little worried, "I don't want to be left out if I fail."

I nodded, "I don't want to go without you."

Aizawa started passing out the test, "Remember, everyone, if you pass you have a chance to go on the trip Yaoyorozu so generously donated but remember you must have a parent sign the permission slip given out yesterday to go."

Denki sighed as he got his paper, "Good luck."

I smiled at him, "You too, my Pika-Pika."

As I went through the test, it was a lot easier than I thought. Aizawa made it out to be a really hard test.

I glanced at Denki every now and then, he was clearly stressed out. I wish there was something more I can do.

I flipped my test over when I was done. Mio finished shortly after I did. Denki continued to work.

I watched time tick on, Denki was one of the last people working.

I hope he passes, we studied a lot for this test. I probably won't go if he can't go, there'd be no point, I don't ski.

"Times up," Aizawa called.

Denki slammed down his pencil, "I'm done!"

I put a hand on his shoulder, "How do you think you did?"

He shrugged, "I don't know. But I finished!"

I smiled, "I'm sure you passed."

Aizawa collected the tests, "I'll have them graded before we leave class today and those of you who pass may go on the trip, granted you have parent permission."

Denki sighed, "I hope I passed."

I nodded, "Me too. I probably won't go if you don't."

He frowned, "I don't want you to miss out on the fun."

I shook my head, "It won't be much fun without you."

He smiled, "You're so sweet."

For the rest of the class, we sat and talked with everyone while Aizawa was graded.

When the last few minutes came up, Aizawa stood up and sighed, "Well, I've graded everyone's test."

Everyone was sitting on the edge of their seat. Waiting for their results.

Aizawa sighed as he picked up his sleeping bag, "I'll see all of you at the lodge, make sure to bring permission slips, if you don't, I will have you escorted off of the property."

Denki smiled and jumped up, cheering with the rest of the class, "I can go!"

I felt relief, I leaned closer to Mio, "Are you going? You never answered me earlier."

She shrugged, "Yeah, Dad is gonna be gone most of the weekend and I don't want to be in the house alone."

I nodded, "Good."

Denki sat back down, letting out a relieving breath, "Oh man, so, am I taking both of you to the lodge or just Maki?"

Mio grabbed her things, "Just Maki, Bakugo needs help finding the place and he doesn't want to trust Kirishima to do it."

Denki nudged my arm, "Totally okay with me, more alone time with my favorite girl."

I smiled, blushing.

He stood, grabbing his things, "Mom wants you to come by before we go, by the way."

I raised my brow, "Why?"

He shrugged, "Probably to offer to adopt you so she can get rid of me."

My jaw dropped, "Denki!"

He let out a laugh, "What, she likes you more than me and you know it."

I shook my head, "Then maybe you should step up your game."

He wrapped his arm around me, grabbing my bag with the other hand, "Nah, my game was good enough to snag you, I think I'm good."

I smiled, "You had me before you even knew and you didn't have any game so I just have low standards."

He put his hand over his chest, "Ouch. Buzzy Beautiful Sunshine Nugget's attack was very effective."

I laughed as we made our way out to the car.

Denki sighed, "So, when are we starting those driving lessons?"

I raised my brow, "Huh?"

He shrugged, "Before we started dating, I told you I'd teach you to drive, I meant it."

I shook my head, "No, I want your parents to continue to like me and they won't if I wreck your car."

He rolled his eyes, "You won't wreck my car."

"You've never seen me drive."

He sighed as we pulled up to my house.

I was shocked dad was home but it was perfect, he still needed to sign mine and Mio's permission slip.

Denki followed me in, bowing to my father, "Yo, sir, how's it going?"

He smiled, "I'm doing alright, how about you guys? How was school?"

I handed him both permission slips, "There's a trip Mio and I want to go on. It's already paid for, food and board, we just need your signature."

He read over the slip and eyed Denki, "And whose room will you be sharing?"

I shrugged, "Probably Mio and if it isn't she'll probably switch to be in my room."

He nodded, signing both slips, "Where's Mio?"

I glanced at Denki before looking back at dad, "Uhh, I think Bakugo is going to bring her by before leaving for the lodge, she still needs to pack a bag."

He sighed, "I don't know what to make of that Bakugo, I know how explosive his family is but he's good with Mio, from what I saw the other day he calms her explosive behavior."

Denki shrugged, "I think Mio calms Bakugo and Bakugo calms Mio, their anger is so similar it's like they complete each other and understand each other in a way that's hard for others."

I blinked, shocked, "Wow, Denki, that was a good explanation."

He smirked at me, "I'm just saying they fit together but I think they both are denying it. Bakugo isn't someone who admits his feelings easy and Mio is the same."

Dad smiled, "Very well put, young Kaminari, well, go pack your bag and let your sister know I'm holding her permission slip hostage so she will have to come to say goodbye to me."

I smiled and made my way to my room, texting Mio the hostage threat.

Denki sighed as he sat on my bed, "I'm so glad I get to go, I've always wanted to try skiing."

I shrugged, "Not my thing."

He raised a brow, "Then why did you want to go on the trip?"

I tossed my duffel on the bed, "You wanted to go, I want to spend time with you, it's simple."

He smiled, "Buzzy…"

I gave him a quick kiss before going to my closet, "So, what do I wear?"

I heard him laugh, "Do you do that every time you have to pick out an outfit?"

I nodded, "I'm indecisive."

He sighed, "Well, it's snowing up at the lodge, go with warm."

I nodded grabbing my snow boots, some pants, some shirts, stuffing them all in my bag.

He laughed, "Maki, we're only going for a night."

I nodded, "I know."

"Then why are you packing so much."

I shrugged, "Gotta have options." I went to my computer chair, grabbing Denki's jacket, throwing it on, "Need this too."

He smiled and stood, "You look way better in my jacket than I do."

I rolled my eyes, "Oh hush."

He let out a laugh.

I threw the last of my things in the back and zipped it up, trying to pick it up… unsuccessfully.

Denki continued to laugh as he reached out and grabbed my bag, "I've got this."

I smiled, "Thank you, Pika."

He followed me out as I hugged dad goodbye.

We went straight to Denki's after loading my stuff up. His father waved as we walked in, "Hey kids, how's it going?"

I bowed, "Hello, Daisuke."

Before he could answer, Emi came running down the hall, "Maki! I'm so happy to see you! Denki, I told you to bring her by more often."

He rolled his eyes, "Mom, it's only been a few days."

Emi nodded, "That's too long."

Denki sighed, "You'd trade me for her in a heartbeat."

She waved her hand at him as she led me to the couch, "Oh hush, it would be quicker than a heartbeat."

My jaw dropped, "Emi?!"

She smiled, "He knows I love him."

Denki shook his head, "I'm going to go get packed, mom, be gentle with my girlfriend?"

She shook her head, "Not a chance, go, go."

I watched him walk down the hall, I couldn't help but smirk.

Daisuke sighed, "I know what's about to happen, I'm gonna step out."

She waved her hand at him as he left.

I raised my brow, "What is about to happen?"

She smiled as she held on to me, "So, I know you guys are going to a lodge with your class overnight."

I nodded, "Yes, we are."

"So," She said as she dug in her pocket, "I thought I would give you something if things get… interesting."

I raised my brow, "Interesting? I'm afraid I don't know what you mean?"

She nodded, "I just want you two to be safe. I remember what it was like to be out of town with a boyfriend overnight, having the chance to be alone, no parents, just a teacher who might not catch you. I trust you, kids, not to be stupid but I want to be sure you have protection in any case."

I was even more confused, "What are talking about?"

She held out a strip of condoms, "I want to be a grandma but I not this young."

My jaw dropped and my heart stopped, I shook my head, "No, we aren't… we haven't… We… We…"

She wrapped her arms around me to calm me, "Oh honey, I didn't mean to break you. I just want you two to be covered if anything happens. I'm not stupid, I know how two teens in love are. I'm not saying I condone it by the way! I think you should wait."

"Hey, mom." I heard Denki as he walked back.

I quickly grabbed the condoms, shoving them in my pocket, I don't want him to see these.

She smiled as he came into view, "Yes, dear?"

"Have you seen my snowshoes?"

She nodded, "In the storage room."

He smiled as he walked off to find them.

She leaned close to me, "So, you and Denki haven't…"

I shook my head, blushing fiercely, "We haven't. We… he hasn't even really made a move like that."

She nodded, "Sounds like my boy."

I raised my brow, "What do you mean?"

She shrugged, "Denki cares more about you than he has about anyone. Hell, when he figured out he had feelings for you he had decided it was best not to tell you right away because he didn't want you to feel scared or overwhelmed."

I was shocked, I didn't know that.

She sighed, "He would never push you to do anything you don't want to do so trust me, he may not be putting moves on you but he wants to."

I blushed, hiding my face, "I can't believe we're talking about this."

She rubbed my back, "Oh honey, I told you we can talk about anything."

I heard Denki walk back in, "Maki, ready?"

I nodded, "Very much so."

Emi stood, hugging us both, "Have a good time my babies."

I followed Denki out, getting into his car.

Denki held my hand as he drove, "You okay?"

I nodded, "Yeah."

He squeezed, "You're sure?"

I smiled at him, "Denki, I am happy."

He smiled, "Really? I'm glad."

I love his smile, it's so bright.

He's so bright.
