Finnick caught fish for us to eat. We feasted on fish until we could hold no more. Only about ten minutes after I ate I threw it all up. I guess raw fish isn't good to eat during pregnancy.
"What's wrong with her?," Beetee asks as Haymitch helps me clean up.
"She's pregnant," Haymitch answers.
"It's true? You are really pregnant?" Beetee asks.
"Yes it's true," I say. "So is the part about the wedding."
That's when another parachute comes down.
"It's for you," Finnick says as he hands it to me. It has a big 12 written on it again.
Inside I find a meal for me and a note from Peeta. "Don't eat raw fish. It's bad for the baby. Here is this. I love you. Please stay alive."
The meal consists of my favorite stew and Peeta's bread. I eat it all up and this time it stays down.
When the Capitol seal shows up in the sky, we see that six people died today. When Mag's picture showed up Finnick let a tear escape his eye. Both from 1, Blight, the female morphling, and Wiress were the others. That leaves both from 2, the women from 5, the man from 10, and Chaff left besides us. Ten left in the Games.
Just then the lightning hit the tree behind us. We were sitting in front of the midnight wedge.
We all take turns sleeping throughout the night and through the morning. During the night two people died. Now there are only eight of us.
I was sent more food and Finnick got fish for the others.
"I have a plan," Beetee said when everyone was finished with their food. "Where is the safest place in the arena."
"The jungle is a nightmare. The beach is," Johanna answered.
"Exactly. Why are the others not here now?" Beetee asked.
"Because we claimed it," Haymitch answered.
"Correct. This wire here is designed to conduct large amounts of electricity. In ten hours the beach will be soaked from the ten o'clock wave. I say right after the wave we go to the lightning tree. There we can wrap the wire around the tree and bring it back to the water. When the lightning hits, anyone on this beach will be electrocuted." Beetee says.
"It's a plan and we don't seem to have another. I say we do it," Haymitch says.
I agree to do this, but I do fear what will happen once the others are dead. Who is going to break the alliance first?
