I pulled on a pair of sweat pants and Denki's jacket and made my way to the lobby. Denki was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs with a big smile on his face.
I took his hand, "Hey, I'm sorry about earlier."
He squeezed my hand, kissing my forehead, "Oh, baby, don't apologize, it was good."
I felt a blush on my cheeks, "Really?"
He started to drag me out to the fire, "You have no idea."
Mostly everyone was already surrounding the fire except Mio and Bakugo.
Denki sat beside Kirishima and Tokoyami, sitting me in his lap, "Perfect seat."
I smiled, leaning against him as he wrapped his arm around me, "Yes."
Mineta fell by the fire, "Ugh, Denki I'm so jealous of you."
Denki raised his brow, "Why?"
Mineta laid on his back and sighed, "You're not a virgin and now that you're with Maki, I bet you get even more action regularly."
I looked at Denki shocked, I didn't know he'd ever slept with someone. Who?
Denki locked eyes with me, realizing what's going through my mind, he shook his head, "Wait, no, what? Mineta, what are you talking about?"
Sero shrugged as he drank from a bottle in his hand, "Everyone knows you've gotten laid before and I think Mineta is assuming since you and Maki are dating you're also getting it on."
Denki threw his head back in irritation, "Why is my sex life the topic of the evening?" He mumbled before looking back at Sero, "Dude, I'm not having sex. I've never had sex, I'm still a one hundred percent virgin."
Mineta shook his head, "No way, I don't believe you, you've dated more than anyone in our class. You've gotten laid. I want to live vicariously through you."
Denki rolled his eyes, "You guys, not that it's any of your business, but I swear, I'm a virgin. I've never done anything."
Kirishima shook his head, "Yeah, come on guys, leave him alone, it's a little awkward talking about this, especially in front of Maki."
Ochako nodded, "Let's change the subject."
Sato shrugged, "Does anyone know any scary stories?"
I smiled, "Tokoyami is a good scary story writer."
Tokoyami shook his head, "Oh, no, I can't."
I nudged him, "Come on, you're good."
He sighed, "Fine, I'll tell some I know but none that I wrote."
I shrugged, "We're all ears."
I nuzzled in close to Denki as Tokoyami cleared his throat, "Okay, so there was a family, a mother, a father, and two boys. One boy, let's call him Natsu was lonely because his brother, let's say, Katsu, was never home. Katsu was locked away with doctors. Natsu would beg his parents to bring his brother home, said he was bored. They always guilted him, told him to be lucky his brain worked fine and he wasn't retrained to a room, poked and prodded by doctors. They told him to consider how bored Katsu was locked away. But still, Natsu begged for his brother to come home. The parents gave in at first but each stay at home was shorter and shorter for Katsu. Every time without fail something tragic would happen, the neighborhood cats with gouged out eyes showing up in his toy chest, dad's razors found dropped on the baby slide in the park across the street, mom's vitamins replaced by bits of dishwasher tablets.
The parents began to hesitate when Natsu asked for the last chance. They told him Katsu's disorder made him charming, made it easy for him to fain normalcy, even trick his doctors into believing he's rehabilitated. The parents insisted Natzu stay bored so he would be safe from his brother. But Natsu hated it when his brother was gone because that meant he had to pretend to be good until his brother came home again."
I felt a shiver go down my spine. That was just creepy.
Denki squeezed me, "You okay?"
I nodded.
"Then breathe." He whispered.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.
Deku smiled, "Another one?"
Tokoyami nodded, "Sure."
He thought a bit before taking a deep breath, "A husband and wife took their daughter to a birthday party. They had a great time. They left when it was bedtime for the baby. They went home and put the little girl to bed. The wife went to read while the husband went to watch a sports game. He fell asleep around eleven. Around eleven-thirty he's awoken by his little girl, 'Daddy, guess how old I'm going to be next month.' The father woke up, smiling at his adorable child, 'How old, princess?' His smile faded into a look of horror as she held up four fingers. By seven-thirty the next morning, the parents can't get the little girl to admit to where she got them."
My jaw dropped, "Whoa, kids are creepy."
Denki let out a laugh, "Someone is easily wigged."
Mina shivered, "Man, Tokoyami, you're gonna make me want to sucker punch any kids I see."
Tokoyami shrugged, "You guys asked."
Ochako yawned, "Oh geez, I'm tired, I think I'm gonna get some sleep. I wanna get a few more slopes in before we have to leave tomorrow."
Everyone nodded, agreeing.
Denki walked me back to my room and sighed, "I'm afraid to go in there."
I nodded, "Not a wise idea if Mio's back."
He leaned down, kissing my lips gently, "See you in the morning?"
I nodded and made my way into the room.
I was surprised to see Mio wasn't back yet. We weren't gone long but I figured she'd come to bed.
I changed out of the sweats and shook off Denki's jacket, I don't think he's ever going to get it back.
I pulled back the covers of the bed but was interrupted when my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Buzzy, your sister is knocked out on my bed, can you come to wake her up? I'm not going to try, I'd really like to live to see eighteen."
I smiled, "I'll be right there."
I tossed my phone down and grabbed Denki's jacket, making my way to his room.
Maki was dead asleep.
I poked her, shook her, and whispered things about Bakugo in her ear. Nothing.
I sighed, "Um, I think this is a lost cause. This is what dad calls Resting Mio, it happens when she gets really angry and exhausts all of her energy, and knocks out. She's not waking up until tomorrow morning."
Bakugo shrugged, "She can stay here. She knocked out in Kaminari's bed. Doesn't affect me."
I raised a brow, "But what about Denki?"
Bakugo sighed as he laid in the other bed, "I don't care."
Denki rocked back and forth on his heels, "I can check with Kirishima."
I shook my head, "No, you can stay in my room. It's fine."
He nodded, grabbing his bag, "I guess."
I sighed as we made our way back to my room, "Did you… do you want to sleep together?"
He ran his fingers through his hair, "Maki, we talked about this."
I shook my head, "No, that's not what I meant, I meant like share the bed."
He sighed, relieved, "Oh, good, I don't think I could fight you off another time."
I shrugged as I sat on the bed, "You didn't really fight the last time."
He smirked and shook his head, "About the bed, no, I don't think I'll be sharing a bed with you tonight."
I couldn't hold back the pout, "Why not?"
He sighed, grabbing clothes from his bag, "If your sister comes back in here and we're snuggled up in the same bed, she will drag me out and finish what she started earlier."
I nodded, he's right.
When he came out of the bathroom, he tossed his clothes in his bag, "I have an idea."
I raised my brow.
He waved his hand, "Stand by the bathroom."
I did as I was told and he pushed the beds closer.
He smiled, "There, now we'll be comfortable and I can still reach out to you."
I wrapped my arms around him, "You're sweet."
He nodded, "I know."
I rolled my eyes and climbed in bed, "Are you glad you came on this trip?"
He nodded, "For the most part."
I raised my brow.
He sat beside me on the other bed, "The time I had on the slopes was great and the time I had with you… that was well worth the trip, but everyone talking about my sex life, that I could've done without that."
He sighed, "By the way, they were wrong downstairs."
I played with a loose string on my shorts, "About you being sexually active?"
He nodded, "I'm not, well, you know that but I never have been. I'm a virgin, I swear. Sure, I've dated a lot but I didn't sleep with any of them."
I grabbed his hand, squeezing, "Denki, I believe you."
He was surprised, "You do?"
I nodded, "I do, for one, I don't believe anything Mineta says and secondly, I don't think you'd lie to me."
He shook his head, "I'd never."
I smiled, "We're good?"
He nodded, "We're great."
I yawned, making him smile, "We should get some sleep."
I nodded, curling up under the covers.
Denki smiled as he reached out, interlacing his fingers with mine, "Goodnight, Maki."
I squeezed his hand, "I love you."
Denki's cheeks turned pink, "I'm so glad you said it, I love you too."
It didn't long for me to fall asleep. His hand in mine offered a level of comfort like a safety blanket.
I woke up when I heard the door slam. I shot up, scared.
Mio glared as she grabbed her things, "You let him sleep in my bed?"
I looked over at Denki, he was rubbing the sleep from his eyes. I sighed, "Mio, you were sleeping in his bed."
She shrugged, "So, make him sleep on the floor."
I rolled my eyes as I got out of bed, "Mio, chill. Nothing happened between me and Denki and we have no intention of getting it on. So, down."
She turned her glare to me, "Why is everyone talking to me like I'm a trained animal?"
I shrugged, "Because you're acting like an attack dog."
She nodded, "Fair enough."
I grabbed my bag, "I'm going to take a shower, don't kill Denki while I'm in there."
She waved her hand, "I'm out of here, Bakugo, Kirishima, and I are heading down the mountain, we're gonna catch a movie."
I nodded, "Sounds good, I'll see you at home."
After my shower, Denki took his turn and I packed my bag.
Denki came out of the shower and went straight for me for a hug, "Do you want to do something today?"
I shrugged, "Did you want to go skiing with Deku and Ochako?"
He shook his head, "Nah, I skied yesterday, I'd rather spend time with you."
I smiled, "You don't have to spend all your time with me."
He shrugged, "No, but I like to."
Denki and I said our goodbyes to everyone and made our way back to town. I think last night, everyone talking about whether Denki was a virgin, got to him, I have a feeling that's the real reason we aren't staying.
As we pulled up to my house, he sighed, "I'm gonna head home for a bit, I'll come by later and hang out."
I raised my brow, "What? Why?"
He sighed, digging the condoms out of his pockets, "I'm gonna go grill my mom about these."
I sighed, "Be nice, she was just trying to be helpful."
He shook his head as he leaned over for a kiss, "I make no promises."
I sighed and made my way up to the door. I hope they don't fight.
