Only one thought comes to me. I did it. I won. I can go home.

A hovercraft comes to pick up the rest of the bodies including Haymitch's and then one comes for me. I grab the ladder and my body freezes. I am pulled up into the hovercraft and released where medics pull me into a bed and start their examination. They inject medicine into my arm and I start to fall asleep. The last thing I hear from the doctors is, "She really is pregnant!"

When I wake up I am in a hospital bed in the Capitol. I look over and see President Snow sitting in a chair beside my bed.

"President Snow," I say in a raspy voice.

"You have survived another Games," he says. I just look at him. "I see that you actually are pregnant. Is the marriage also true?"

I nod my head.

"Ah I see. You really do love him," he says. "This isn't over Katniss Everdeen, or should I say Mellark?" and he walks out of the room.

This isn't over…. This isn't over…. That line plays in my head until Peeta walks into the room.

"Peeta!" I yell and sit up.

"Katniss!" he says and runs to me. "You made it. You did it!" he says as he hugs me.

He sits on my bed and I kiss him. We sit there and kiss for a long time. I don't let go of him and he doesn't let go of me.

Effie walks into the room. She has been crying. You can tell from her eyes.

"Katniss you did it," she says and hugs me. "I'm here to take you back to the apartment. You only needed to stay until you woke up."

We leave the hospital and go back to District 12's apartment. There I am met by my prep team to get ready for my interview tonight and the recap of the games. Cinna puts me in a beautiful blue dress and once I am done, we leave for the interview.

Caesar announces my name and the crowd screams. I walk out and sit down next to Caesar. We watch the games and I have to turn my head at certain deaths, especially Finnick and Johanna. They protected me so that I could come home. Finally, after it was over my interview started.

"So Katniss, what were you thinking the whole time during the games?" he asked.

"I was thinking about how much I wanted to get out of the arena alive, so that I could be with Peeta," I answer.

"I'm sure you were," he says. "Now is it really true? Are you a Peeta expecting a child?"

"Yes we are," I say and pull out a sheet of paper I got from the hospital that I hid in my dress. "This is my test results." I hand Caesar the paper. He reads it and looks to the crowd.

"It's positive!" he says to the audience. "The star crossed lovers from District 12 are expecting a child!" The crowd goes crazy. I get asked a lot of other questions before I have to leave and go to my crowning ceremony.

There, President Snow takes the golden crown and places it on my head without a word. Just a look of disgust. After that, I board the train to go home.
