*8 months later*

It's been pretty quiet here since the Games. Snow hasn't done anything to ruin 12 or to hurt me. It's normal here. Like it was before my first Games.

Peeta and I have been great. My pregnancy was announced on national television so I never had to tell anyone here. I am now nine months pregnant. I am due any day. Peeta doesn't leave the house anymore. He stays with me just in case I go into labor. The house is ready for our child. All we need now is for he or she to be born.

Peeta and I are laying together in our bed when I feel it. Pain shooting through my stomach. Labor has begun.

Peeta picks me up and runs for my mother's house. When we get there he takes me to my old room and she rushes in. The pain is unbearable.

"She's dilated nine centimeters," my mother says after about two hours. Two hours of pain.

"Ok Katniss, you need to start pushing," she says to me.

After a while I want to give up.

"I can't do it," I say to Peeta. He grabs my hand and sits next to me. He wipes the hair and tears from my face.

"You can do this," he says, "You are strong."

"Stay with me," I say desperately.

"Always," he says and scoots closer to me.

"Push!" my mom yells.

I push as hard as I can until I feel something and then I hear the cry of a baby. My baby.

"It's a girl!" my mom says as she hands the baby to me and Peeta.

"Hi baby girl," Peeta says as he starts crying. I start crying too.

Everyone leaves the room and Peeta and I are left alone. All we do is hug and hold our child.

"What do you want to name her?" Peeta askes.

We talk for a while until we come up with a name we both agree on. When we made our decision. We walked to the kitchen of the house.

"I have to report the birth so they can add her to the population," my mother says. "What do you want to name her?"

"Daisy," I say. "Daisy Mellark."

"That's beautiful," Prim says.

Peeta and I left the house and went home. Daisy has beautiful traits from both of us. She has my dark Seam hair and Peeta's bright blue eyes. I love her so much.
