Bad news… The story here has been cancelled… As time went by, with a busier schedule and other stories to write, I just didn't have the time and energy to focus on this story. So, I made the decision the cancel it.
But there is good news!
The story will be rebooted! I have recently got back to playing some of the games and re-watching the anime, and my fandom of the franchise has been reinvigorated enough to return to the story.
There will be some changes here…
Instead of Kalos, Bonnie will be travelling through Kanto instead. I want her to go through a different journey with a fresh start. I feel like going through Kalos, on the same road she did with Ash, would be treading familiar territory. By shifting her to Kanto, at least I can give her a new adventure to go through. Also, ironically, I feel more comfortable going through the Kanto region, since that's where most of my memories with Pokemon are. I mean; it's been a while since we had a journey there, so why not make a new one?
But what I had planned in the original hadn't changed much anyway, so I can call this a soft reboot. My writing skills have improved since, and I want to give this tale of Bonnie's own journey a new light.
That being said; I hope everyone will stay tuned as a new journey will begin! Expect the first prologue sometime soon!
