This is the sequel to The Quarter Quell. I recommend reading that first before this. This is about what happens after The Quarter Quell and what Snow has in store for Katniss after she escaped death once again. THE SEQUAL IS POSTED! IT IS CALLED "THE RESCUE"

11. Chapter 11

Today Prim and Finn will be assessed on their skills. Finn of course can use a knife but Prim, she has nothing. We wait for hours. Finn comes back first. He looks pleased. I guess his assessment went well.

"How'd it go," Peeta asks.

"Very well," Finn answers. "I cut a bunch of dummies up and threw them at the Gamemakers. They bounced away before they hit them though."

"That's my fault," I say. "I shot an arrow at them for my first Games."

Finn looks stunned and he sits on the couch. About half an hour later Prim comes back looking pretty disappointed.

"Prim, how was it?" I say hoping for a good answer.

"Awful," she says. "I just showed them I knew the plants and tried to use a knife but I

failed."

"It's ok," I say even though I'm heartbroken. I pull her in for a hug.

I go to get Daisy before the announcement of the scores. Peeta follows me into the room and shuts the door.

"Katniss, what happens when all of the tributes find out that Prim can't even fight?" he asks.

"I don't know," I say as I pick up Daisy. "The others will know she can't fight and they will kill her." Peeta rushes to my side.

"We will help her," he says. "Finn will protect her."

We go out into the living room with Effie, Cinna, Portia, Finn, and Prim and wait for the scores. Finally after an hour Caesar comes on to the screen.

"Today the tributes of the 76th annual Hunger Games were scored based on their skills they showed in their assessment." he says and he starts naming people with their scores. The two from 1 Falcon and Sapphire score a ten and a nine. The two from 2, Paxton and Venus both score a ten. The rest of the careers from 4, Pearl and Tassel both score a nine. I don't really pay attention to the rest except for Prim and Finn's allies. Jorion and Halle from 7 score a seven and an eight. Ellia from 8 scores a six and Paislee and Layke from 11 score a five and an eight. Not the best scores, but they will have to do.

Finally they get to District 12.

"From District 12, Finn Dayvale with a score of eight," Caesar says. Everyone is happy with Finn's score.

"And finally, Primrose Everdeen, with a score of four." he says and the TV goes black.

A four. Prim got a four. No one even speaks. We all just sit there in silence until Prim gets up and walks to her room. I can hear her start to cry.
