I run back to the room just in time to see the group's condition.
Finn has a deep wound in his leg from where Tassel got him. Ellia has a cut in her arm and Paislee can't walk very well on her ankle. Finally they reach a cave-like structure just as the anthem plays and they crawl inside.
Prim assesses each of the wounds. She leaves the cave and comes back a short time later. She is able to cover and treat Finn and Ellia's cuts and then makes a make-shift braces for Paislee's ankle.
As they eat I pull Peeta into the hallway.
"Peeta something is going to happen to Prim," I say in panic.
"What? What do you mean?" he says as he tries to comfort a crying Daisy.
"Snow. Snow said there would be a surprising twist," I say even more panicked.
Peeta pulls me in for a hug.
"It's ok Katniss. Prim has Finn to help her and we will protect her," he says.
I don't even try to object. It won't change his mind. Only I understand that Prim is in danger. Prim is going to die.
When I finally go back into the viewing room the camera has cut back to Prim and Finn in the cave. They are sitting together in the back corner away from the others.
"Finn, why did you tell me to run earlier?" Prim asks.
"I was protecting you," he answers.
"You don't even know me. Why would you try to protect a girl you don't know?" she asks.
"I promised Katniss I would," Finn answers. The look on his face says otherwise though. He isn't telling her something.
"Oh." Prim looks away from him. She turns her head back towards him as she says, "I didn't know…"
She can't even finish her sentence. Finn has kissed her.
