I was nice enough to allow my heart
to melt like ice into your soft and
gentle hands. For one hour, you were
mine and you weren't too much for me
to handle. For one hour, you were mine
and our stars were crossed. You did not
burn me like a hot flaming candle back
then. I did not have to pretend that things
between us were fine because I was truly
happy to be in your presence. I didn't think
think about what life would be like after you
were gone. I didn't think about what life would
be like when I had to go through every day being
alone and didn't have a meaning for this life of mine.
Lately, we have been out of touch and I am a couch
potato. I have been waiting for an eternity for you to
come around, oh, how do I miss the sound of your
breathing. Please come back to me and haunt me,
taunt me with your beautiful stare. I dare you to move,
love, I dare you to hunt me down. I dare you to move, I dare
you to care about me for once, my old friend. If you are not
going to chase after me then I will chase after your heart until
the end of time.
