Chapter 3: Odd group of soldiers

Well the anime is coming and I'm looking forward to it. Bit off cannon this chapter so hopefully people will like it.

"So this is where your office… I half expected it to be an untidy mess of paperwork you still had to do." Sumisu said as Harry after being allowed into his house and work office as he did need one to keep up to date on his accounts and business deals.

"I simply have a bit of a better work ethic compared to what you seem to have. How come your team mates didn't come when you did?" Harry questioned as Sumisu had arrived not at noon but instead ten a.m.

"Well I have not gone shopping yet. Thanks for breakfast by the way; I do enjoy pancakes with syrup." Harry just shook at his head at the 'adult' in front of him but before he could take a chip out of her the doorbell rang so he got out of his seat and locking down his laptop.

Didn't want the moocher looking through his internet history or worse adding to it in an attempt to embarrass him. Walking toward the door harry spotted Cerea doing some practise swing with her practise sword while Papi was playing video games, which left Miia who was just lounging in the sun reading what seem to be a book. 'How to seduce your man and get him to jump you, in twelve easy steps.'

'Ignoring the potential headache for now.' Harry opened the door and was met with a very tall woman with tan skin and long hair who also had a tiny horn signifying that she was potentially an oni (ogre). "Hello there miss, might you be one of Sumisu's work friends?"

"Oi Tio move your big butt out the way." A rather crass said from behind but was not given any attention as the named Tio looked down at Harry, who was having flashbacks to year four when he met the female half giant Madame Maxine. Obviously the woman in front of him was younger and more attractive no harm in saying so mind you.

"No need to be mean Zombina I just wanted to say hello first… Hi there I'm Tionishia nice to meet you Harry." Tio walked in a pulled Harry in a Hagrid style hug engulfing his head in soft flesh of Tio's bust, worse (or better) than Cerea as Tio's chest was bigger than his head. "You are a lot cuter in person."

"He'll be a lot less cute if you kill him doing that." Tio let harry go hearing her friend and let harry fall who gladly took in air before facing the next person of Sumisu's friends. The woman in front of him seemed to be doing a very good impression of Frankenstein's monster since she was covered in stich marks and had striking red hair along with mismatched eyes. "Yo, call me Zombina, got anything to eat?" the woman's stomach growled making Harry glad he had stocked up for whoever might be coming.

"Probably, not sure what you want to eat though? Do you like pork?" Harry asked seeing Zombina lick her lips and he was quick to throw her a bag of pork scratching's to which she ripped the top off with her sharp teeth and dug in. "So who are you miss?" Harry asked the rather short girl who walked in next. She was in fact very short, barely as tall as Papi which short black hair.

Her defining feature though was her singular eye telling him what race she was. She looked a little nervous as he looked right into her eye as it was nicer than seeing the many eyed face of the spiders in the forbidden forest. "Hello my name is Manako, please treat me well." She said looking directly at his face but blushed when she found him doing the same.

"So this is the guy who you've been sending our laundry, not bad I suppose. You make him perform any other wifely duties?" the last voice said and Harry turned to see well a naked chick. She had a darker skin tone like Tio did and long white hair that just about covered her naughty bits but nothing else. "Heya, call me Doppel nice to meet you Harry."

"Well hello to you all and welcome to my home. Follow me to the dining room while I make us some lunch. Is everyone ok with sandwiches?" he got nods from all as they followed him through to his large dining room that had a dropped floor for Miia and Cerea since even sitting down they were very tall. He had had the floor covered in comfy carpet along with some cushioning charms for good measure.

Papi smelling food came over to sit down next to Manako and Doppel. Cerea moved to his left side and Miia to his right when he sat down bringing in the food. "So how come you all wanted to meet me? Not just because of the food you have seen Sumisu with right?"

"Well not the only reason." Doppel piped in smirking as she nibbled on her sandwich while Zombina was devouring them like a rabid zombie… oh right, never mind. "But I'll let our commander tell you before she eats you out of house and home." Zombina looked up from her food, face covered with crumbs and sauce.

"Oh yeah the thing we came here for, almost forgot." Harry noted Doppel using quotation marks with her fingers while mouthing 'Almost'. "But yeah since the lazy ass here seems to find you interesting we decided to drop in as well as give you this letter from our boss." With no shame Zombina unzipped her apparent one piece suit exposing her large assets and pulled out a letter for Harry who did let his eyes stray for a moment. This did lead to Miia shoving on of his arms into her cleavage and Cerea pushing her chest into his side. Papi was just enjoying her food.

He opened the letter folding out to read its contents, his eyes going over fast. When he was done he let out a sigh "Leave it to Springfield to let me know Britain's searching for me again. Sumisu how much do you actually know about my background?"

"Me and M.O.N. have been given a full briefing about you after Mr Springfield got involved. You and he have a bit of a history don't you?" Sumisu smirked as she pushed her hair behind her ear. "We also know why Britain is looking and trying to extradite you, at least unofficially."

"Harry what is miss Sumisu talking about?" Cerea asked curious having no information on Harry's reasons for leaving England, then again her uncle sent infrequent letters over his affairs and alike from the British isles.

"Well if I am honest Harry Potter is a somewhat fugitive from the UK. You are aware where your uncle works don't you Cerea?" Harry asked wondering if Cerea did know about magic.

"Yes, Hogwarts, the school for magic… that's where you attended in your youth?" harry nodded a little relieved there was at least one member of his homestay family who knew about magic.

"Wait magic... like sawing people in half is real?" Miia asked obviously only having been told a little about simple magic.

"A bit more complicated, there's a bit of a hidden world in most countries. I believe M.O.N. are aware of the current state of magical secrecy right, some places aren't ready to know everything." Sumisu nodded while Tio looked in minor confusion.

"But its magic it can't be that ad right?" Harry just smirked as he lifted his finger and shot a tickling shot at Miia. The lamia was rolling around on the floor laughing, her tail wagging about.

"Cool instant laughs, any more fun skills?" Zombina asked the man who pointed toward the kitchen and levitated the next plate of sandwiches to the table and Tio along with Manako moved them out of Zombina's reach, Tio being a literal wall so the woman could not steal any more food.

Of course he had set the other plate next to Cerea and Papi, egg salad which Papi did not find it offensive as well he'd done his reading on harpies, it was rather odd when it came to eggs but more on that later. Cerea was just happy with her salad sandwiches lettuce, tomato and her favourite carrots.

"I have many different uses for magic but I try not to overuse them and expose them to the general public. Don't want any more attention brought to myself that I already do with Miia, Papi and Cerea will bring." Both because of their good looks but also since they were extra species girls.

"Correct, especially since Mr Springfield apparently has a plan in mind for wizards who are not stuck in their old ways and unwilling to change a little." Sumisu said pinching a sandwich from Zombina as she'd had over a dozen already.

"Fair enough so what else is on the agenda for our meeting?" Harry asked while Sumisu helped herself to more food.

"Um… well our boss knows we are visiting you so we technically have the day off now." Sumisu said making Harry sigh and face palm.

"Looks like he figured out we came for the food and aren't leaving till late. Besides I'm sure you have a few stories from your odd up bringing to tell is Harry boy." Doppel said smirking at harry who just gave her a flat expression before his green eyes flashed. "Ok what was that?"

"Nothing just seeing what you look like, also I'm not comfortable talking about my school years when I've barely known you all more than ten minutes." Harry said using a particular skill he picked up mildly enjoying the shocked look on Doppel's face before bringing in the last plate. "Well then I have to get back to work then, if you want snacks there some on a plate in the fridge but don't go nuts if im making dinner for you all."

"Yes Master/Darling/Harry." His three house guests sounded off while the members of MON just nodded the others eating what really was a nice tasty lunch. It was least when you didn't have to buy it or microwave it.

"Hey do you know what his job even is?" Zombina asked Sumisu who shrugged as she watched Tio join in on playing games with Papi while Cerea went ack outside to train her sword skills.

"Far as I know and what I've been told Harry own a few businesses but has proxies since well he has been moving about but he checks what's up and down along with concerns. Mr Springfield said his employees are all very glad to work under him." Sumisu had been given quite a large file and it was one of the few she did her best to finish as she did find Harry a very curious man.

"So he's loaded?" the zombie asked bluntly and Sumisu nodded as she did note that Harry had not applied for the extra species food support fund even after Papi and Cerea joined his home. It was not cheap to feed youkai and alike as she could attest to knowing from one meeting with Zombina.

"He seems very nice." Manako muttered wanting to give her opinion but her meek voice wasn't heard over the rambunctious duo of Papi and Tio fighting for supremacy in scores. Papi was leading for the most part.

When harry got back to his office he unlocked his computer and checked his emails and found one from one of his older businesses, George Weasly the still living twin of the original pair of jokers who he helped get their joke emporium started up after his fourth year.

"Dear Harry, can you believe that I'm using something like this to contact you. Bloody mad I tell you still useful for finding plenty of interesting ideas coming easily now with a search or two. Hope you are doing well, we have opened a small store now in Manchester and one in Victoria Canada, nice to see the polite country likes fresh pranks.

Little Luna told me you have found yourself in another mad situation with a snake girl, good on you. then again Snakes lay eggs so how would that work… I'd search it but I learned enough about the internet not to search everything. Funny thing is we have a lizardgirl working with us now, she's pretty nice on the eyes ahh sadly I am a married man. Fred and Roxanne seem to like her though, nice girl that Liz.

Hope you keep in good spirts and looking forward to hearing how crazy your life has gone with a girl under roof, with your luck you'll end up like some harem game character. Angelina really got me into them mainly due to cheesy dialogue options anyway take care harry."

Harry finished reading the message from someone who he could say had his trust and considered family. He chuckled seeing how right George was in some respect but checked the figures he'd sent him for projected sales in the upcoming quarter and it was looking good with the levels of expansion they had. Simply put there would be no issue with money for quite some time, which considering his new living situation was a very good thing.

He sent various emails to his businesses which he was thankful that most people still in contact has accepted his use of technology to stay off the magical grid as purists still refused a lot of newer technology. Plus even if they did try they wouldn't find him easily thanks to his words and security. Not to mention his own level of skill added to the equation, there was no way he'd come quietly

Eventually he heard a knock at the door and Cerea came in holding a tray "Would you care for some tea Sir Harry." Cerea asked making harry tempted to sigh, it was either calling him Sir or master with Cerea, he'd need to work on that more.

"Yes thank you Cerea, join me please I'm getting close to finishing." Cerea came inside thankfully there was enough space for her so nothing got knocked over. She set the tray down on the table and lowered herself on to her knees with harry adding a cushioning charm to the floor by her legs to make sure she was nor uncomfortable. "How are the others?" Harry let Cerea pour the tea, early grey she seemed to have picked and as it called for added the slice of lemon.

"Miss Tionishia is still eating the snacks with Zombina, Miss Manako is looking through your bookcase for something new to read and Miss Sumisu is asking you what you are planning for dinner and where's your good coffee? Papi is now playing with miss Doppel." Cerea said noticing a slight twitch in her master's face before he calmed himself and moved his seat over to the table and lowered it so he could drink his tea.

"What is your take on them Cerea?" Harry asked since he did have his own thoughts on the soldiers.

"My thoughts on the group miss Sumisu brought is that they all have skill in combat, the way they hold themselves is proof enough. Each of them is simple to understand on the surface but any more is unclear without spending more time with them. They seem like good soldiers if a little unorthodox." Harry nodded as he pushed Cerea's cup over to her.

"Yes, I know Sumisu is a lazy moocher but she has a good team and they have a good combat leader. In anything else she's terrible that much is clear to me. Also Cerea might I ask if you have been taking runs in the morning?" Harry questioned as he was an early riser but the signs of the shower being in use were clear when he came close to the bathroom.

"Yes, I take it you wish to join me on them?" Cerea herself was very glad that harry was asking this as it meant she could grow closer to her intended master. His own, swordsmanship skills were to a degree rivalled her own but his blade was shorter in length. Harry nodded to her question and Cerea's tail gave her true feelings on the subject as it flapped side to side.

"Yeah, I should have enough time in the morning to prepare food for you, Miia and Papi. Hope you don't mind going at a steady pace for me though as my legs don't have the same stride as yours." Harry smirked as Cerea nodded her eyes wandering to the sword Harry kept on the wall, while it wasn't the sword he had used in his youth.

Rather it was one he'd help make while in Germany, the blacksmith was a master of odd creations so the magic infused ore made was forged to bond with Harry's core. The white sword and shield sat nicely on the wall for when he needed it, he did use a practise one for Cerea along with wooden shield.

"Wait… you told me where everyone else was." Harry's mind recalled her answer and noticed someone was missing. "Cerea… where is Miia?" Cerea's eyes widened before the door burst open and the lamia of the house sprung forth to tackle harry to the ground.

"Darling are you finished I want to spend some time close to you." Miia said while sending a glare to Cerea. 'Stupid girl trying to steal my darling harry. I was here first darn it.' she thought but before she could snuggle too close (crush bones with tail) her cheek was pinched and pulled.

"Don't grip too hard Miia, we still need Harry-kun to cook dinner tonight… did you decide by the way?" Sumisu said holding Miia's cheek for nearly causing her (personal) trouble.

Harry was lifted up by Cerea, with an unintentional moment of her allowing her chest to serve as a cushion. "Ergh, try not to do that Miia, I'm not as durable when it comes to your spring tailed tackles. Also Chinese style meal, but don't make a habit of this, I'm pretty sure I'm just responsible for Miia, Papi and Cerea here."

"But Darling is fine." Miia mumbled through pinched cheek before Sumisu let go. "Why do you let her be so mean to me darling?" Miia asked using her big snake eyes at him.

"Because I bruise, but come on you can help me taste test some of the dishes later ok." He was spoiling her for bad behaviour but well Cerea was vegetarian so couldn't taste some of the dishes he'd be making. Didn't mean he was going to ignore her as he had plans for a really good vegetarian dish for the centaur.

"Yeah!" Miia cried as she and the others ladies made it into the main room where it seems Papi had roped Zombina and Tio into a game of Mario kart on his tv, Doppel seemingly winning though as a Miia in a Captain Falcon costume… best costume.

"Ah… are you finished with your work Harry?" Manako asked looking up from her book. Said wizard looked right in her face only for her to turn back to her book, which seemed to be one of the newer series that had sprung up. An American Kitsune, a funny read considering the situation he found himself in now.

"For now, I need to make sure I haven't lost touch with the dishes we will be having tonight. Oh and Miia you are sitting behind the bar, don't need you hurting yourself (or me) while I cook." The Lamia nodded as she slithered into a stool and took to one of her favourite hobbies which was just staring at Harry cook.

"Geez you'd think she could enjoy something other than him for a moment." Zombina groaned turning from Miia as she hoped for something a little more interesting.

Should have been their earlier.

"Ahh looks like you went off road again Zombina, tough luck." Doppel taunted as she showed off her skills via driving while constantly looking behind her. Papi was on her tail but the banana kept her at bay.

Tio was not doing too well considering she didn't know the controls, games were her thing as her strength at times broke controllers. It was lucky harry had strengthened a lot of the items in his house as Miia had spring tackled him a few times and one broken tv was enough.

"Oh come on! Ergh stupid rainbows. Why cant we play something good like house of the dead or Biohazard?" Seriously there were no good zombie games right now, the closest option was metal slug.

"Because Zombies got over exposed in the last few years. Just switch to smash or put the tv on." Harry said taking a sip of sauce to Miia for testing and the lack of gagging was all he needed although he suspected Miia was stripping him right now with her eyes. Just a feeling but it seemed plausible.

'Whack!'

"Oww!"

"No stealing food till it's ready and I'm still testing so keep waiting. You could fold your laundry if you're that bored." Harry said putting down the spatula he'd used to discipline Sumisu.

"You mean you haven't done it already?" Sumisu asked without an ounce of shame in her tone.

"I have to manage three girls clothes now, plus maybe it will teach you to be responsible." Harry lectured earning a snort from Zombina and Doppel.

"Unlikely." The shape shifter said out load but turned away when Sumisu turned her head and lowered her glasses. Harry was one thing but she wasn't going to let her team mock her too much, she was their boss after all.

"Do you struggle dealing with the different sizes of your house guests Harry?" Manako asked blushing a little considering Harry technically had seen her undergarments.

"Not really, I have been washing big clothes for such a long time. The only difference is the ones I wash now are from people with good taste." Harry hated washing his relatives clothing. Dealing with Miia's clothes from day was a much better time, it was more or less the only time she was modest as she thought her choices were very girly. She still got embarrassed when clothes she ordered didn't fit and asked him to help.

"They don't make guys like you often Harry, guess I'll call myself lucky that I found such a good guy for these girls." Sumisu said with a hint of smugness in her tone as she drank from her fresh cup of coffee. 'The reminds me have to call the builders to remodel for the next one.' Sumisu took to planning her next surprise for harry who was now being watched by all the girls as the matched had finished… they all started to smell the food.

"Che, not a bad display being made. Think you could d take out for us all the time Harry?" Zombina asked while drooling already her nature causing that a little, the hints of hunger did hang around in the back of her mind.

"I'd have to charge for service and there wouldn't be any tabs. Cash up front and all that." Harry half joked as he could imagine Sumisu using him as her local take out for her team mates. It would have been easier if they just moved next door, the place was for sale.

Then again with Sumisu around all the darn time he'd never get any peace in the house. 'Not to mention she could get into Miia and the others squeezing the life out of me with her teasing them, heck she's doing it now for pete's sake.' True to form Sumisu was making a minor show f her legs as she slowly crossed and uncrossed hints of her undergarments flashed.

"Can we get friends and family discount then?" Sumisu asked while taking a bit of the prawn crackers Harry pushed the bowel of nuts toward them.

"We'll work something out after I set up schedule." Harry said before meeting his eyes to hers. "Maybe."

"Darling are you sure I can't help you cook?" Miia asked leaving forward on the breakfast bar exposing her cleavage no doubt in efforts to entice him.

"Nope, one reason being I know you have no formal experience in cooking unless it's a fried egg. And second you don't know the recipes fully. Just be patient for me Miia, Cerea and Papi are already." It was true Cerea was sat by the table but he stretched the truth for Papi who was playing on his 3ds now. Didn't stop Miia from pouting as she watched his ass while he cooked, may as well enjoy the view.

After an hour or two harry had placed the various dishes on the table for his house guests and the moocher. From simple stir-fry to sweet and soul dishes the variety had all of their mouths watering, even Cerea who had plenty options with her rice, noodles, spices and alike.

"Man you really can cook, so can we start?" Zombina asked as Harry joined them on the table, placing the plates of prawn crackers down.

"Yes enjoy the meal, it all turned out great in the end. Nothing burned thankfully too." Harry waited a few seconds after they all tucked into to their food to drop a bomb. "I'm glad that you all agreed with Sumisu in that you do all the dishes for the free meal tonight." He took silent glee seeing all of their mouths freeze mid bite. "Unless you prefer her to do the work."

All other members of MON looked to each other before pointing to Sumisu in unified agreement that she'd do the dishes. "Traitors… and you are going to get it when I can Harry." Sumisu said before going back to her food.

"Likely given your track record but well I suppose I'll adapt like I have already. Gloves and washing up liquid are by the sink." Harry said as he tucked into his sweet and sour chicken with Miia.

Ok this was just to allow a bit of a break from the mani storyline of Monster Musume. Obviously soon Suu and Mero will be joining the family, but I want to lead up to it a little. Yes the other manga character reference is intentional but it won't mean that character will appear a lot maybe once or twice throughout the story.

As we go along on this journey of a story, yes it's a journey deal with it, I do plan to add a bit more narrative and changes as harry does have magic to solve a few problems along the way. For those curious, lemons are on the table but not for some time trust me.

Also the sword on the wall is the white sword from hyrule warriors, as I see it the sort of sword harry might use. That and I'm trying to grind all characters to plus 200 now… yeah I have nothing else to play till pirate warriors 3.

I may add some focus to Suu as she is my favourite girl/monster so adorable. Anyway next update should be for Help from a stranger which should be end of august/start of September just so you know as weekends are pretty busy this month.
