Prologue - Last Christmas

I loved my job, I really did. But there were moments when I didn't like it.
Don't get me wrong, working at Cullen Footwear was a dream job. My boss, Emmett Cullen, was supportive of me both professionally and personally. But any job in the fashion industry could add to your own distorted self-image.
I'd been there in my twenties and barely made it out alive. Being some small part of the solution made me feel important.
As for the moments when it was less than stellar, last year's Christmas party was a prime example. Only a few people knew about the disaster of a bus ride, and that had all been born out of worry.
A lot has changed since then.
